The hostel is fairly new and well equipped. It is beautiful, clean and tidy. There is lot of space even though its 8 bed dorms. There is a kitchen with plenty of seating area. The hostel is very close to Campunha railway and subway station. I really loved my stay here, would definitely go back. Its more then i expected.

Stayed here in a private room (the blue room) whilst the room looks like the pics, there was an awful sewage smell 2 out of 3 nights I stayed here. The room is right in front of the sewage (under the decked terrace) which the poor staff had to manually unblock. They were really nice but I don’t think they should be doing this! The room was also quite cold even with using the AC/heater - I doubt if it is powerful enough to heat the entire room and can only imagine the weather in colder temp!

Als ich das Hostel im Internet sah, dachte ich mir wow. So chick. Die Fotos entsprechen wohlmöglich nicht der Wahrheit. Aufgrund des unschlagbaren guten Preis und die positiven Empfehlungen, welche heute auch zu kaufen sind, entschloss ich mich es dennoch zu buchen. Von außen macht es einen unscheinbaren Eindruck und kann schnell vorbeilaufen, da es beim ersten Blick durch die Scheiben, wie ein Café ausschaut. Die junge Dame hat mich herzlichst empfangen, mir alles nötige erklärt und mich auf das Zimmer geführt. Dort stellte ich fest, es entspricht genau den Bildern. Nicht nur dass das Personal freundlich ist, nein, es ist wirklich sauber und dafür wird jeden Morgen für gesorgt. Auch die Betten werden gemacht. Die Lage ist top. Denn man ist nicht von dem Pulk typischen Touristen und ihre Attraktionen umgeben, sondern erhält den portugiesischen Charme. Eine kleine unscheinbare Bäckerei gibt es einige Meter rechts raus auch. Entweder geht man zu Fuß durch die Straßen an sein Ziel oder nimmt die nah gelegene Bahnstation. Ich bin immer zu Fuß gegangen, da ich mehr von der wahren Stadt gesehen hab. Was ich zudem gut fand, war eine voll ausgestattete Küche, sodass man auch gemeinsam mit neuen Bekanntschaften oder Freunden etwas kochen und gemeinsam essen kann ohne immer essen zu gehen. :-) Das Einzige was mich persönlich gestört hat, war die Matratze. Aber für die einen ist sie zu hart für die andere zu weich. Aber es ist schließlich kein 5 Sterne Hotel mit Boxspringbett. :-) Ich kann es auf jedenfall empfehlen. Merci vielmals!

Um pouco descontrolado com o pagamento pois vieram me perguntar duas vezes se eu tinha pagado. A sorte é que eu tinha guardardado o recibo. Mas fora isto tudo bem.

Supernice staff. Cool place, with all needed facilities and very close to one of Porto's main train stations, Campanhã. Facilities are great, renovated kitchen, hanging and smoking areas and a bar at thr front door. The only con is the bathrooms. Small, only 2 wc for 10 beds, 0 privacy in the shower and only 1 sink, all together in the same space, no doors inbetween. Very cheap, and good value for money. 10 min away by metro to the center.

Lors de notre arriver ont trouvait l endroit mimi 3 nuits de cauchemard du bruit constament Des fourmis partout la télé ne.fonctione pas le rideaux de la chambre etait casser donc fermer qui etait condamné impossible d aéré il y avait de l humidité dans notre chambre , des odeurs aussi mais surtout il fesait tres froid lors de notre 1 er nuit au matin ont vois il y avait une fuite qui provenait du plafond il y en avait partout j ai appeler la personne qui se tenait a l acceuil elle ma dit qu elle allais appeler quelqu un le lendemain pour intervenir l apres midi mais personne etait passer j ai recouvert cet flaque d eau avec la serviette de chambre Sincerement a fuir il y a mieux ne vous fiez pas aux photos

Felt more like a hotel than a hostel! Location is good. Walking distance to downtown. The rooms are very clean, and the beds so comfortable! Relaxed vibe with a decent kitchen and plenty of tables to sit. Beautifully decorated. Would definitely stay again!

Sehr gutes hostel. Sehr modern und sauber. Nettes Personal und gute Anbindung an die Stadt. Das einzige was nicht so gut war, ist das die Zimmer ein wenig kalt waren. Aber alles sonst in Ordnung. Immer wieder gerne!

In this price category the best you can have, I think. The hostel is nice, comfortable and clean. I feel safe here.

Super. Czyściutko, czysta pościel, kontakty i lampki nocne przy każdym łóżku, telewizor. Klimatyzacja w dormie no i lokalizacja blisko dworca. Minus za brak jakiegokolwiek widoku z męskiej sali, źle ustuowaną fotokomórkę w łazience przez co światło gaśnie pod prysznicem/ toalecie oraz trwające cały czas prace wykończeniowe. Gdyby nie to, byłoby 5/5.

Very nice hostel near the train station in Porto. The staff was very friendly and it's very affordable and clean. I definitely recommend staying here. The quality of food is good as well!

O hostel é muito bem localizado. Nos primeiros dias fiquei em um quarto individual. Nos outros dias desci para camarata pois o preço é mais acessível. Porém fiquei dois dias. Eles não tem respeito se está a dormir ou não,na troca de turnos fazem muito barulho e te acordam para pagar como se você fosse um criminoso. Não tem respeito pelo seu sono ou bem estar. Situação muito constrangedora. Deveriam mudar a logística do horário de limpeza. E ter mais respeito para quem está ali .

Para mim, melhor hostel que estive nas cidades que conheci na Europa.

I give this place 5 stars because they gave me outstanding customer service. On my way to Lisbon I realized that I forgot my passport and housekey in the safety box in my room. When I called they immediately checked it and offered to send me a scan of my passport. I didn't even ask for it. They asked me if I needed it and sent me by email 2 min later. They also went to the post office and sent me my passport and housekey to me in Lisbon so I didn't have to go back to Porto. They went out and beyond their duty to help me out and because of that they truly deserve 5 stars. Their only little flaw was that the stairs to climb up the bunk bed was challenging. But the customer service they gave me with fixing my passport problem outshines any small adjustment they might need. I don't think many hostels would use their extra precious time to go to the post office so for everyone that's looking for a hostel in Porto go for this one.

La habitación que pedimos era una suite, espaciosa y la cama es cómoda pero hablamos de un bajo en el que no había luz casi. Además, el aseo estaba sucio, habían pelos en la ducha y en las sábanas, por lo que la calidad de la habitación era inferior a como la vendían . La habitación estaba al lado de la zona de ocio por lo que se escuchaba todo lo de fuera .

Excellent hostel. I put 4* in stead of 5 because of the noise at night and the toilets that can't be locked. Breakfast was delicious and people at the reception so kind

Light Point is located a short 5 minute walk from the Campanha Train Station. Our room with the queen size bed was on the ground floor. The bed was very comfortable, the bedsheets were super soft and both the bedroom and the bathroom were very clean. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The metro is just up the block and the center is only 3 stops away. We loved this place, we loved Porto & we highly recommend Light Point which we hope to return to now that we will soon be retiring. We thank them for our wonderful stay.

Don’t stay here during the weekend. Although the 10.5 euro price is very tempting, what they did not say explicitly is that it is a 16-bed dorm. During the weekend, so many people come to Porto to party and come back to the room at very late night, 1 am, 3 am, 4 am... The sleeping quality is terrible. If you are in Porto during the weekend, spend a few more euro and get a 4-bed room at other hotels.

An alright hostel. Cheap. Ok location. Bad breakfast options and quite annoying 12 bed dorm (bad air).

What an incredible place! I didn't expect much for the 14€ I paid for a form bed, but this is a palace. Newly renovated, super elegant and cosy, a great rooftop terrace to chill out on. Every bed comes with its own locker, charging outlet and drapes for privacy, the showers are made for royalty, and there's a cute bar and restaurant downstairs as well. Best thing about the hostel are staff, all the ladies were super positive, went out of their way to help me and give recommendations on Porto, and were simply fantastic. Definitely made my short stay in Porto more lovely with their cheerful attitude!

Espectacular, instalaciones geniales y de diseño, se nota que han cuidado el aspecto del local. Todo muy limpio, con zonas comunes amplias y cómodas. Habitaciones muy cómodas, con enchufe, cajón y lamparita individuales. Dan toallas y servicio muy amable. La única pega es que está un poco lejos del centro (25 minutos aprox), pero así también se descubre una parte de la ciudad más residencial que sino no se visitaría. Es de los mejores hostales con habitación compartida donde he estado.

While we came to this place we didn’t expected such a great room. It was very comfortable, good looking and very clean. The kitchen is also clean and convenient. The reception’s opening hours are suitable to arrive at midnight and there is opportunity to leave the baggage after check out for free. The stuff is helpful and very kind.

This place is very clean and beautiful. It is near to city center. Staff is nice and friendly. We were there at midnight and there isn't any problem with check-in.

I letti sono con i separé e materassi veramente comodi, ho dormito benissimo. Un hostel adatto a chi preferisce riservatezza perché i spazzi sono grandi, anche i luoghi di comune accesso come sala e cucina fatti in modo che non bisogna per forza socializzare con gli altri se non si vuole. Inoltre un luogo pittoresco costruito sulle antiche mura inserite nell'architettura della palazzina, ci sono bei quadri e oggetti di grande stile. Bagni puliti e tutto veramente piacevole. Hostel si trova a distanza di 3 fermate di metro dal centro, c'è anche un pullman da dove comodamente raggiungete le spiagge e luoghi storici. Mi sto trovando benissimo e lo consiglio a chi nonostante la scelta più economica dei hostel preferisce silenzio e calma.

Superó mis expectativas al llegar. El lugar con ambiente moderno y bien decorado, con buena luminosidad y muy limpio. Es amplio y la habitación que cogimos con cama doble en la planta baja una maravilla, a partir de las 10 la terracita de al lado era para nosotros. En el piso de arriba hay otra terraza muy amplia. La cocina es espaciosa, muy bien equipada con dos frigoríficos, horno y dos o tres microondas, dos fuegos para cocinar y mucho instrumental. Los mesones para comer eran grandes y cómodos. Hay dos supermercados cerca por lo que es fácil ir a por comida que cocinar. Hay una sala común con juegos y en el comedor un futbolín. Encontramos gente de distintas nacionalidades con la que pudimos compartir experiencias, cosa que en un hotel convencional no es posible hacer. Además, hay una cafetería en la entrada en la que podías picar o tomar algo si no te apetece cocinar. Sobre el personal, es amable, nos hablaban en español sin problemas y era atento con lo que necesitábamos. Repetiría sin duda una experiencia tan agradable y recomiendo encarecidamente ir.

Lo único que me gustó fue la limpieza que había en la habitación. No está nada céntrico. El personal fatal, no nos entendían. El bar del hotel desesperante si tienes hambre, tardan mucho en servir. Desorganizacion total, nada recomendable!

Got a very good price, clean and comfortable, good service, location could be just slightly better but it's still within walking distance to the riverside promenade, about 1km-something downhill (thankfully). In between two metro stations of the line that goes to the airport, about 5 minutes from the Heroismo station, so pretty easy to reach. Can recommend
