Awesome Italian cuisine. The food is just really tasty and the service is really good. The food is presented beautifully and tastes fantastic. The portion size is not only adequate but most times too much, though due to the greatness, I just stuff more on top.
The cake is great and as already said, service is fantastic. My ordered meal was served about 5 minutes after ordering. The staff speak English - probably better than I do (haha).
5 stars are not enough. If I could give 10, I would give them every single one available!

Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Schöne Atmosphäre drinnen und vor allem draußen.
Sehr leckeres Essen zu einem guten Preis. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt :)

Salade césar très bonne, personnel très accueillant et prix intéressants. Une biere offerte car il fallait changer le fût!

Personnelles serviables et souriants. Pour y avoir mangé plusieurs fois dans la semaine, tout est très bon. Effectivement l'Italie est présente à Faro. Je confirme que la sangria est la meilleure que j'ai consommé pendant mon séjour. Je recommande car c'est un lieu très calme même en terrasse. Bon appétit. j'ai oublié, c'est des pâtes fraiches.

Eu e minha família adoramos tanto que acabamos indo duas vezes. As pizzas e os pratos com macarrão estavam ótimos. Ótimo atendimento (acabamos conhecendo uma brasileira trabalhando no restaurante). Dica.... quando for pedir chope peça pelo nome de imperial. Se não eles vão dar uma cerveja normal.

Staff was really nice and the food was good, however the portions were too small for the cost of some of the dishes. The desserts, though, were pretty amazing. The waiting time was a bit lengthy, and there were a few mix ups with the orders, but I am hoping that this particular night was probably just an abnormally busy night. Overall it was a positive experience.

La Forchetta did not disappoint. We had the bruschetta and carpaccio to start - both were excellent! I had the puttanesca and the homemade noodles were unbelievably delicious. It's easily the best Italian meal I've had in a long time.

Update:Went back here with my boyfriend and enjoyed the risotto again. There was no Quattro stagioni on the menu, the favorite pizza of my boyfriend, and they especially made us one. Just as wonderful a restaurant as 6 months ago! Great service and great food. Thanks again!
August 2018: In 2 words: absolutely wonderful!
The people running the restaurant are so friendly and welcoming and the restaurant is tip top.
And most important: the food is to die for! Everything is made fresh and that makes for a real treat for your tastebuds We had the risotto with asparagus and the beef lasagna and loved them.
When you are in Faro, this place is a absolute must-try.
Update: we were there on sunday and decided to go back again on monday to try a different dish. We both had homemade pasta with sauce and again the flavours and texture were terrific.
Also they were very helpful, because of my allergies, and checked everything with the chef.
I noticed that there are some reviewers that gave only 1 star... I could not imagine why. The staff is extremely friendly and they give their undivided attention to all guests, so that is why sometimes you have to wait a while for their service. Every time they are at your table they make you feel special, which is admirable. We found it no problem to wait and just enjoyed the good atmosphere. As for people saying that the pasta portions are too small... well, I can only say that they are exactly right and combined with a starter (and/or dessert) you will be left feeling great and not overly stuffed, like at some of those horrible fastfood restaurants... And I guess, with being overweight as health risk number 1 these days, some people might not recognise what a normal healthy portion looks like.

Uma excelente surpresa no dia de São Valentim! Um restaurante cómodo, simpático, com um serviço impecável e uma cozinha excelente. Tanto a pizza como a massa (fresca) estavam irrepreensíveis e o tiramisu divinal. Vamos voltar, com certeza!

AMAZING! I had the tagliatelle a la forchetta and it was was so delicious. Fresh pasta, packed with flavour, and the perfect portion size. Knowing how good it was, I ordered dessert even with a full belly. I had the berry cheese cake and it was sooo good! Light, soft, and flavourful. I definitely recommend this place over other Italian restaurants in the area. I loved it and am considering returning for a second night in a row ☺️

Comida deliciosa atendimento espectacular e apesar do vinho ser muito bom achei muito mal ser servido fresco!! Vinho tinto não é para estar fresco mas sim á temperatura ambiente a cerca de 18° e apesar de tudo o resto estar óptimo esse aspecto fez-me descer a nota. Espero lá voltar.

We (my wife and l) absolutely loved La Forchetta. Good location - a couple of hundred metres from the main hubbub of eateries and sports bar, which makes for a far more peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, with a church as backdrop. Genuinely pleasant and attentive staff, with excellent and prompt service as a result. Food - extremely tasty and just the right amount. Pricing - very reasonable; we paid more in a marina-side eatery for less food of lower quality. Definitely recommended!

Typisch italienisch, selbst gemacht Nudel die richtig lecker sind! Preise sind normal und für das was geboten wird sehr gut. Wir hatten zum Nachtisch einen Cheesecake der ein Traum war. Kann man nur empfehlen dort essen zu gehen.

We went here due to the reviews. We ordered bruschetta to start which was Ok..as good as a bruschetta can be, tagliatelle arrabiata & tagliatelle carbonara. My arrabiata was nice, very spicy but I love chilli so it was fine. My partner had carbonara which was bland and nothing special.
The staff were very friendly.
The reason I only give 2 * is because we had to wait over an hour to eat, because all the other tables had ordered pizza, which takes longer.
Our pasta wouldn't take any time, so think they should have done ours quickly in between, as waiting an hour for the main after the starter...
One other thing is that I loved the wine in Portugal, but didn't like this wine.
After complaining about the wait and the carbonara, we were offered a free limoncello which wasn't cold and not very nice

Non sono rimasto soddisfatto. Abbiamo ordinato gnocchi ai 4 formaggi (arrivati tiepidi) ed una pizza. Dopo una settimana di pesce volevamo concederci qualche piatto italiano, ma era meglio se continuavamo a mangiare baccalà.

Comida exquisita y servicio excelente. Fuimos a cenar y estaba todo buenísimo. Platos abundantes y no fue nada caro. Los camareros muy atentos y muy simpáticos. Se lo recomiendo a todo el mundo que quiera pasar una velada en un sitio muy agradable. Sin duda un sitio en el que repetiría.

Un restaurante excepcional al centro de Faro. La comida excelente a unos precios ajustados y un servicio muy atento y simpático. Hablan español. La comida es casera, incluso hacen la pasta y los postres ellos mismos. El lugar es tranquilo y en la terraza sopla una brisa fresca y agradable.

Italian hangry tourist here.
Had a combination dish of two pasta types.
Waiter told me “a pasta is not a pasta without cheese” while taking his time to painstalkingly spread some (dried out) grated parmesan over my dish.
Well, me and my very petite girlfriend were both left hungry.
A pasta is not a pasta if it leaves you hungry after this.
As a idiot child i am now enjoying a pizza at pizza hut, because at least the indistrial grease will fill me up, guaranteed!

Risotto not made with risotto rice and with lacking character makes the dish feel overpriced. The service being slow even with few customers drag the overall experience down. Mushroom and asparagus risotto was supposed to be vegetarian and yet pieces of ham was found in it. When this was brought to the waiter's and chef's attention, no effort to make up for this mistake was made.

Wow, my girlfriend was crying when we had to leave. No seriosly, that was the best Italian kitchen, we ever tried (even though both of us have been to Italy multiple times). We can only recommend.

Vandaag met zijn tweeën hier voor diner gaan eten, erg voortreffelijk. De hele ervaring was erg fijn en warmtevol. De ober wees ons er op dat bepaalde pasta's vers waren en andere niet. Hier naar geluisterd en we hebben de lekkerste pasta gegeten sinds tijden.
Voor desert hadden we de strawberry cheesecake, deze was zelf gemaakt en rijkelijk overgoten met aardbeien marmelade. Erg lekker en vullend.
Voor de rest was de sfeer erg warm en zorgzaam. Voor de prijs die je betaald heb je zeker waar voor je geld.
Ik zou er zeker nog eens heengaan.

Sólo puedo decir que los raviolis con salsa four cheesse espectacular, la pasta estaba en su punto, la salsa, que lo normal es que te la hagan muy salada, estaba increíble suavita y perfecta de sabor, la lasaña buenísima también y la atención muy buena también, precio adecuado a la calidad de los platos y la ubicación súper cerca de donde nos quedamos. Recomendado al 100%

We went here on our last day and I'm so happy we did. The lunch menu is exceptional I would describe this as Italian tapas were you can choose from a full range foods all as tasty as the last. The pasta was made fresh and the sauces excellent. I will definitely go back if in Faro again.

Chose here for our 2nd night and we loved it.
Wish we had found it sooner to eat there every day.
Food choice is so good and it's all made fresh which if you are inside you might catch a glimpse in the kitchen.
We loved it so much we returned on our last day but it was closed as it was too early. The owner popped out and directed us to their 2nd restaurant down by the main centre and we had just a good service and food!

Habe Tortellini Napoli bestellt und sage und schreibe 8!!!! Stück bekommen. Bin nach 4min mit essen fertig gewesen und hungriger raus als rein. Sorry aber das geht gar nicht. Tortellini sind nie wirklich viele, aber dieser Teller sah sowas von verloren aus das ist schon nicht mehr normal. Preis dafür 9€

Just dined here tonight and we enjoyed it immensely. Quality Italian food, friendly service and nice outdoor setting. Prices also very good. We had lasagna and seafood risotto. A highlight of our Faro stay. Recommended!

Ainda que seja saboroso e com bom aspeto, a Qualidade do produto não refletiu a qualidade do serviço. Mais de 10 minutos para receber Menus, com meia hora para as entradas chegarem e o pedido (pratos normais) chegou 1:20h depois de efetuado.
Final de tarde de domingo com movimento razoável.
Se recomendo? Não.
Fiquei até ao final por respeito. Várias vezes tive para levantar e ir embora.
Espero ter ajudado a evoluir o local.

Nice atmosphere on the patio and bruschetta was good. However, carbonara pasta sauce had cream in it when cream wasn't mentioned as an ingredient on the menu. Also noticably slow service.

Went here on a very quiet Sunday in May, we really had nothing to complain about except for the wine, which we were assured was Portuguese, turned out to be Italian. Good food, well presented, oodles of flavour. Recommended.

Presumed that the mushroom and asparagus risotto was vegetarian, was topped with ham and with tiny pieces in. Our fault for presuming it was vegetarian so best to ask first!

Excellent food quality and service at reasonable process. The staff spoke English and were pleasant and professional. We had Caprese Salad, Pao Facaccia, four cheese linguini pasta and Arrablata Fettuccini. You choose your pasta and sauce. There are 6-8 pastas and as many as 10 sauces.
The Caprese Salad with fresh mozzarella and firm tomatoe slices and basil leaves drizzled with olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasted great and was sufficient for two to share.
The Pao Facaccia was an excellent compliment to the Caprese and the pasta.
The pastas were prepared to order and we're tasted great.
We definitely recommend La Forchetta and will be back next time we're in Faro.
