Very small menu which I always think is great as most foods are fresh. I had the black pork shoulder on a bed of potatoes bread. I am not a wine expert so they recommend the perfect wine to go with the meal. Very good food, very friendly staff. Overall 10 out of 10, highly recommend.

Very nice restaurant, we had a very good time. The waiter recommended wine and he chose to not just give us the expensive one. The food was really very delicious. Top quality, we never ate tuna as good as here. Thank you!

Ici le prix est un peu plus élevé, mais il y a la finesse des plats et cela fait la différence, les plats sont travaillés. Pour ceux qui recherchent non pas une alimentation, mais un plaisir gustatif.

My Partner & I ate here tonight and the food was absolutely delicious . The waiters were so warm, friendly and knowledgable. Great wine selection & recommendation. They have a fantastic wine cellar too. We sat outside however inside is beautiful ambiance too.

Quando procuras comida com boa relação qualidade/preço/quantidade. Bom ambiente, grande carta de vinhos, recepção e tratamento atencioso. Claro que a época conta muito. Mas sabores portugueses/internacionais, mas diferentes é o que se encontra aqui. A diferença marca uma boa refeição.

Best restaurant we have tried in Lagos so far. The service is pretty spot on and the food is delicious. A bit more pricey than the average restaurants in Lagos but it's worth it!
The grilled octopus and the seared tuna were both excellent.

Great food. Great service. Waiter gave me a great recommendation to get the croaker fish, and my boyfriend had the beef cheeks, which were very succulent and juicy. Overall a wonderful meal.

Tout était excellent! De l'entrée au dessert en passant par les boissons, Ainsi que le service ;)
Le coût est assez élevé mais raisonnable au vu de ce que nous avons eu dans nos assiettes. En bref je recommande vivement!

Aangename verrassing. Zonder te veel op de kaart te kijken, hier binnengewandeld en geen seconde spijt. Zeer lekker gegeten. Alle gerechtjes, van starters tot dessert waren origineel en verrukkelijke. De service was zeer vriendelijk en de wijnkaart voldoende uitgebreid. Het restaurant ziet er trouwens zeer mooi uit, modern. Een echte aanrader

I highly recommend the 'A Petisqueira'! It is a modern and elegant, small and very friendly restaurant with excellent food. Our waiter gave us plenty of tips regarding our choice of wine and we enjoyed our food and drinks as well as the whole evening very much! The Octopus - my choice - was delicious and they also took care of our requests for lactose-free and gluten-free requirements. We will come back!

Posto centrale, curato, moderno. Abbiamo ordinato con mio marito 1 bottiglia di vino Odelouca validissimo, 2 antipasti, 2secondi,1 dolce e 2 porto, si è speso circa 81€. Le portate sono di alta cucina, a dir poco buonissime...siamo tornati dopo un giorno. Per ora è il miglior ristorante portoghese

très bon.. 5 etoiles pour la cuisinne:
40 euros par personne à 4 adultes avec 2 bouteilles de vin et plats. 4 etoiles pour le service: perd sa 5eme étoile suite au nettoyage de la table voisine avec des produits solvants odorants avant la fin de notre repas. dommage....

Um local que me surpreendeu bastante apesar de estar localizado no centro de Lagos tem um bom serviço, a ementa tem pratos fora do tradicional que encontramos nos restantes restaurantes. Gostei bastante da experiência e sem dúvida um restaurante a voltar.

This was the best dinner we had in Lagos. Tuna and sea bass were delicious and arrangement was extra class. We followed the recommendation for wine and dessert and were not disappointed.

Vary cozy place with contemporary Portuguese food and a great selection of wine. I had the grilled octopus which was delicious but if you go there only to have wine, the house bread and olive oil it will be already everything you need to be happy in the end of the afternoon.

Had such an amazing dinner here! Located between all the tourist traps this place is a hidden gem! Huge selection of wine and our server was super knowledgeable about each wine and picked the perfect ones for us for our meal! Must, must go here and avoid the other touristy places beside it!

Le serveur nous a prévenu que le service serait long, effectivement, mais on s est régale. Des plats portugais retravaillés et savoureux. Même si le prix est un peu plus élevés que la moyenne, nous n'avons pas regretté.

GO ELSEWHERE! Shameful service and there are many other great options around. We sat inside and the server was incredibly rude. It took 10 minutes to get a menu and after 20 minutes wait, my boyfriend told the server we were ready to order. He shruged and rudely told him to "get the other server". This was only the one bad experience of our otherwise awesome stay in Lagos. If you are a business owner, respect your clients! Needless to say, we just left. Many other great options around with superior service.

Prepare-se para uma refeição com tempero português. Peça o couvert e um bom vinho português. Como entrada sugere-se as ameijolas entre outras opções. Prato principal pode ser o polvo ou o porco preto que são deliciosos. De sobremesa a merenguada acompanhado de um bom vinho do porto Taylor. E o preço é barato pelo serviço.

Slow service, be ready for a 50 min wait without a simple apology. After all this wait, disappointment to get a salty tuna and overcooked octopus. Lot of potential but service and manners needs to improve a lot if they want to do something here. Overpriced for what you get. The only good on this is the great wine selection they have.

Hemos comido bien el servicio bueno el precio excesivo hasta para mí que soy Barcelona. El ceviche deben hacer raciones mayores porque era minúsculo.por lo demás un sitio agradable y recomendable. El puré de patata genial y la carne excelente aunque por 23€poca. Disfruten

Accueil excellent. Service irréprochable et qualité des plats au rendez-vous. Produits frais et présentation des assiettes impeccable. Le vin est excellent et on vous fait même goûter lorsque vous prenez au verre, ce qui n'est pas courant. Une réservation préalable est à conseiller en haute saison.

C’est le meilleur restaurant de Lagos, un délice à chaque bouchée, le vin est excellemment conseillé par les serveurs. Le rapport qualité prix vaut vraiment le coup d’attendre un peu pour avoir une table!

Pedimos lomo de bacalao y pulpo braseado.
No sé si lo que he comido es normal ya que es la primera vez que como esto en Portugal.
El lomo es desalado ( cosa que parece que siempre es así) y además seco. Estaba más bueno el condimento de garbanzos que el bacalao.
El pulpo, dios!!es el peor pulpo que he comido. Si cierras los ojos podía será perfectamente una butifarra de pollo además de seco.
Al preguntarle al camarero nos dijo que era congelado y hecho 4 horas en no se donde para romper la fibra luego al horno.
En fin que por 17'5€ desde luego que no como de nuevo pulpo en Portugal gracias a Dios además James que fen pensé agradecer que pusieran una patita pequeña..
En fin .. personalmente no me ha gustado nada pero.. para gustos..

Absolutely amazing dinner! Beautiful restaurant. Considering all the options in the area, this place seems a little subdued. Don't be fooled. You will not be disappointed! We had fresh, raw tuna and curry. Finished with homemade orange ice cream from an award winning local orchard.

Les huîtres avec un nuage de gingembre sont à tomber, le tartare de thon est divinement assaisonné et accompagné d'une purée d'avocat exquise, les crevettes et les seiches valent le détour !

Fine dining, local dishes with a modern twist. Not the cheapest but good value for money in downtown Lagos. Warm service. Nice outdoor or indoor sitting. Definitely recommended !

Il locale è molto carino ma i piatti non soddisfano le aspettative. Tartare di tonno coperta da altri sapori inutili, ostriche non particolarmente buone, secondi di pesce: (orata e branzino) ottima qualità del pesce ma porzioni troppo piccole e si capisce che il piatto viene riempito con ingredienti non adatti per limitare la quantità di pesce (ad esempio un risotto al coriandolo immangiabile su cui viene servita l’orata). Vino buono, servizio attento ma troppo presente.

DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR... EAT ELSEWHERE!
We booked a table for eight and while our experience started well... everything started going wrong when the food arrived.
The restaurant got my order wrong - completely the wrong dish. I ordered sea bass and got octopus. I said I would help them out by eating that instead of waiting another 20/30 minutes for another sea bass.
I was expecting some form of thank you/ gratitude: a coffee, dessert or my meal free. It was their mistake. When the bill came, the manager blamed my friend for asking about octopus... I clearly saw the manager write down sea bass. The manager then called my friend a “liar” to his face. I added that I was trying to help the restaurant by not wasting food but the manager looked at me saying it would only take a few minutes to prepare a fresh sea bass dish. Now who’s the liar!? I wouldn’t be angry but he smiled at me while he said this.
To add insult to injury, the restaurant had also added extra waters and breads to our bill which had not arrived. After more arguing with us over a few euros of bread and water, the restaurant finally removed extra items. It was a few euros so the restaurant’s behaviour was petty by this point.
I cannot recommend this restaurant. The food looked good but was actually quite bland. I could forgive that but I cannot overlook the rude and aggressive behaviour of the management. Do yourself a favour, eat elsewhere.

I was expecting a bit more, to be honest. Food was nice, but staff barely speak English, and the creme brûlé was not at all a creme brûlé. The octopus was very good

Disappointed with the food. We ate at this restaurant in the beginning of June. The restaurant is nicely designed and the owner is wonderful. The location is on a nice street. We gave it a rating of three stars. Reasons: my steak was to be medium well. It came our super rare like as in “bloody”. My wife’s dish: sea bass. It was tiny. Very small piece of fish and fried hard. The sauce was awful. My advice: discuss the dishes with the waiter before ordering as to prevent any surprises. By the way, the photos of the food do not represent the actual dishes!

De lo mejorcito de LAGOS. Un remanso de paz entre tanto bullicio de restaurantes de turistas.
Sin duda este sitio es diferente. Es tranquilo, con buenos vinos y comida bien elaborada con un toque moderno.
El steak tartar buenísimo, los mejillones diferentes y especiales y el helado de Lima absolutamente imprescindible.
El trato fue también inmejorable.

La comida de calidad, muy bien preparada y bien presentada.
Amplia carta de vinos a precios normales.
Dos platos principales de pescado, un postre y un buen vino 54 euros.
Un acierto total.

Excelente restaurante com comida de qualidade. Depois a simpatia dos empregados, o espaço moderno e a escolha da música ambiente com Amália e Carlos do Carmo entre outros como companhia, proporcionaram uma muito agradável experiência. A localização também é boa, numa rua com bastantes restaurantes e movimento. Estivemos na Petisqueira em Dezembro, praticamente sozinhos o tempo todo com a excepção de uns momentos em que estava um casal estrangeiro a terminar de almoçar o que contribuiu para um almoço tranquilo. Dadas estas condições o ponto negativo não só neste restaurante mas por todo o Algarve, são os preços exageradamente altos, vimos variadíssimos restaurantes, uns mais interessantes que outros mas em geral todos muito caros, será o preço do turismo. De qualquer forma, obrigado pela experiência, mantenham a qualidade e a simpatia e o fado a tocar

This restaurant messed up 2 of 4 of our orders, brought completely different dishes than ordered. It happens, not the end of the world. It's how it was handled that matters.
The 2 dishes that weren't originally messed up (seared tuna) were clearly placed under a heat lamp while the other 2 dishes took another 20+ minutes to be corrected. This was after a 45+ minute wait for the original dishes that were made in error. The tuna was obviously completely over cooked by that point.
Would had thought something would be taken off the bill or complimentary desserts offered. Instead we only received a bottle of water while we waited for the original dishes to be cooked.
For the price point in Lagos there are much better options.

Very poor service. Staff standing at the door like security to ask/demand if you have a reservation. We did but despite a half empty restaurant we (a family of 6 plus a baby) were sat at the very back and under a drip in the roof. Asked to move and their response was 'other people are fine to sit there'. Not a single friendly or welcoming face from and anyone working there. We left before ordering.

Hit and miss. My olives and bread both tasted like they came from a mid-range supermarket. Chilli and lemongrass prawns were beautifully plump and perfectly cooked, but without a discernible trace of lemongrass or chilli. Sauteed octopus was slightly tougher than it should be but beautifully presented and perfectly complemented by a kind of sweet potato and greens. Good enough, but at this price point you're looking for a bit more.

Leckeres Essen, vor allem die Pana Cotta :-)
Freundliches Personal, leider manchmal etwas arrogant. Trotzdem empfehlenswert, uns hat es zweimal dorthin verschlagen.
Eine Reservierung ist notwendig.

Food was the best I've had in Portugal so far with a very nice presentation. Terrace was beautiful, perfectly lit and more private than what is found around in the walkways of Lagos. Great modern and fashionable decor. You can tell on very first sight that this place is in another league. The toilets were the cleanest I've seen.
On the downside, which I think is very unfortunate for a restaurant of that kind of class, is one member of the waiting staff...that poor excuse of a waiter was actually being flirtatious with my wife into an unprofessional and inappropriate manner. All of his attention was directed towards my wife but never shown any regard towards me : if everything was alright etc...HE WAS BARELY RECOGNIZING MY PRESENCE !!! That happened on the previous evening of the written comment. He was a man in his 30's with beard and fashionable haircut. That guy doesn't deserve to be identified with this great place. Wouldn't that been of him, I would give five stars hands down.

La comida no está mal, pero tampoco llega a impresionar, sobre todo por el precio que cuesta (mucho más caro que la media de la zona). El tartar y el pato estaban muy buenos, pero los "calamares fritos" estaban muy sosos y el pulpo no decía nada.
