Really friendly shop for board hire and surf related tings. Prices are decent and they're only a 3 min walk from a decent local break. Don't be shy, given them a go.

Nice shop with a small selection of rental boards. Mostly soft top boards for beginners. Some epoxy boards. Prices are reasonable and Filipa, the owner, is very helpful in giving recommendations including a surf report (Leça is not necessarily a beginner‘s beach as there are some strong currents, occasionally). The shop also has wetsuits, clothing items and surfboard accessories such as wax, leashes, and fins. It‘s the only surf shop at this beach. Pay attention to opening hours, there is a daily lunch break. Valuables are best left in the hotel when surfing. Alternatively, during main season, a small tent can be rented on the beach (9€ / day), where a towel, water, suncream can be stored.

The place looks nice, but the staff was no help at all. We wanted to get some boards to go surfing, since the waves seemed appropriate to a newbie, but from up close they were absolutely too big. The lady working there checked the waves on a webcam and said it would be fine. Unfortunately, it wasn't. Work on better customer service :)

Perfect place to rent surfboards next to the Matosinhos surf spot (Leça da Palmeira). The lady there was very nice and friendly.
