Quinta belíssima, com ótimos vinhos, vista deslumbrante, atendimento agradabilíssimo, tour pratico e interessante! Vista de tirar o fôlego! Voltarei sempre que estiver em Porto!

Maravilha ! A vista fantástica do vale do Rio Douro aliada à moderna arquitetura da área da recepção, degustação e loja, tudo isto ainda conta com a simpatia da eficiente Ana para lhe atender. Existem visitas com degustação dos vinhos do Pôpa ou você pode pedir e pagar por copos individuais e acompanhar por pratos de queijos e jamon. Se tiver que visitar só uma Quinta que seja a do Pôpa.

This is a must stop! The driveway is steep but the views are worth it. The staff are really nice, especially Pedro. You need to make a booking for a tasting as that are extremely busy. Quinta do pops are one of the few wineries with a good selection of wines other than port. We will be back with a booking next time!

Tout simplement merveilleux en tous points. L'endroit est magique et notre guide Pedro était tellement sympathique et nous expliquait fièrement l'histoire de cette Quinta. Nous avons ensuite pris le pic-nic et avons dégusté le tout dans un cadre enchanteur. Ça vaut le détour !

Beautiful property, worth driving up for the view alone. We arrived too early for our appointment, and waited 20 minutes but they were busy so we would have had to wait another 15 mins to try some wine, so we were unable to taste any wines, so do make an appointment.

Unbelievable scenery and the best hospitality! Chose a bottle of wine for your picnic (so much food and very good) after the tasting...and don't forget to purchase a few bottles to take home after your visit.

We went to the Douro valley to have multiple wine and port tastings. I think that the popa Quinta was less nice than two other wineries we went to because the wines where simple (not a lot of body) and young, but maybe we are just a bit spoiled. What we didn’t do but looked very, very nice, is order a bottle of wine together with a richly filled pick nick basket. You can take the basked out on the fields and go sit, relax and enjoy. Be aware, we couldn’t participate in this because you have to reserve a day in advance. Even though we moderately enjoyed it, the service was friendly and had a lot of knowledge about the wines they were serving. 4 stars, but go for the pick nick basket and make it worth your visit.

Wines not port. Their wine-tasting was supported by good stories of the region and their heritage. They recognized us after to having to disappoint us the they before because they were closing. They recommended some of the other vineyards.

Super recommendable. Sobretodo hacer picnic com cata de vinos. Probamos rosado, blanco y Tinto. Todos espectaculares

Wow - what a spectacular winery!! So friendly and absolutely delicious wines, and a view to die for. We did the tasting and the tour (which is the perfect length - about 15-20 mins) and then we had preordered the picnic basket so were able to lounge around on the giant cushions and enjoy the view! (Basket included meat, cheese, bread + olive oil, olives, salt cod, Portuguese sausage and fritters, juices and a bottle of wine from the tasting. You need to order a good few days in advance I think.) There is a great story to the winery and our host (Daniel) was excellent and friendly. Highly recommend.

Beautiful setting with multiple modern and comfortable outdoor seating areas where you can enjoy the wine and the view.

Really nice and beautiful place, really good Red Wines! we did the standart tasting for 5 Persons what ends in a total of 75 Euro for 4 sample Wines! just realized inbetween the tasting that for 75 Euro we could have 5 1/2 Bottles of exact the same Wine what we just had a little taste of .... i see absolutely no relation and its very sad that even after my question about this strange Price Mismatch the staff couldnt give me clear answer why its so expensive without a reason???? Too Bad ... thats why only 3 of 5 stars Note for the next customer, buy 4 Bottles ... have a nice and “worth the money taste“ and enjoy the View!

Awesome place, great port and amazing views! They are all very friendly, highlight recommend the picnic option! Only 'con', would be they are very slow at responding to emails, but otherwise, excellent experience! About 15(euro) from Pinhao train station.

This place was one of our first stops in Douro Valley. The winery is petite with nice arrangements to relax and drink wine. What was truly a shame was the lackadaisical staff who told us that the tasting was not available due to a ‘large group’ that was scheduled to come in. Otherwise the tribute blend was well-balanced with a clean finish.

One of the best places in the area. Really friendly welcome by the hosts in the wine shop. You can simply sit and drink a glass of wine with the best view ever. You need to be brave driver though to get up the hill. Don't be afraid it is worth it.

Se pudesse, eu daria 1000 estrelas. O lugar, as pessoas, a história dessa Quinta quase me fizeram cancelar os demais compromissos do dia para apenas admirar em silêncio o privilégio de estar ali. Fomos recebidos gentilmente com água no dia quente que fazia em 24/08/2019. Pontualmente, a Vanessa, neta do Sr Pôpa, iniciou o passeio com brilho nos olhos, contando a ligação de sua família com a terra e, ainda, como acontece o imenso trabalho na Quinta durante a vinificação. As palavras saíam em meio aos métodos modernos (de tonéis de aço inoxidável) e milenares (de ânforas) para vinificação, em meio aos relógios recebidos do mundo inteiro, em meio à produção armazenada há anos, em meio aos utensílios de trabalho utilizados no passado e às fotos de toda a família. A par disso, o momento da degustação dos vinhos ali produzidos foi tão intimista, bem explicado e com alto valor em seu conteúdo que, sem dúvida, será conhecimento levado para o resto da vida. Por fim, fechar a visita com o picnic do Pôpa nos faz realmente pensar se vale a pena voltar para casa ou se é melhor procurar um terreno ali para tornarmos vizinhos deles. Olhar as pessoas fazendo o trabalho manual entre as videiras, sendo tão acolhedores e produzindo um produto tão magnífico, é maravilhoso. Passeio excepcional!

Agende seu piquenique e curta ótima comida, ótimo vinho e uma vista espetacular! Quinta pequena, com uma história muito bonita. Atenção aos detalhes e um atendimento excepcional. Vale cada centavo! Não esqueça de fazer o agendamento.

Unfortunately, I was not impressed, and I am a world traveler and have been too many wine regions. Upon arrival, after a steep uphill drive on a cobblestone pathway, the small parking lot was not properly signed, as there is construction going on. It was confusing as to what pathways to follow. I did not notice any disability friendly entrances. Upon arrival to the main entrance, there were two employees at the cashier, a man and a woman, who were both rude when I ask them questions about our tasting reservation and the different potential options. The wine tasting area is small, but very cute, and of course, with spectacular views, as do most wineries in this region. The only saving grace was our Sommelier, whose English was quite well and seemed very nice and approachable. However, he also did not give too much information about the wines. We were also not offered any food, or crackers, from their menu. As for the wines, they were all pretty basic in the standard tasting (we were not allowed to upgrade or change - and there were only a few other people at the winery- because apparently specific tastings are scheduled at specific times and btw I was not given a choice on which tasting when I emailed in advance). Of note, I made a reservation in advance for a wine tasting with a friend. I hope this information is helpful.

Tra le tante cantine visitate nella Valle del Douro abbiamo provato anche questa. Io e il mio ragazzo non abbiamo prenotato, ci siamo presentati all'ingresso e visto il maltempo dei giorni precedenti non è stato possibile fare un tour ma ci è stata proposta una degustazione dei loro vini. La ragazza che si è occupata di noi ci ha illustrato la storia della casa vinicola, i tipi di vino prodotti ed il processo di produzione. La vista dalla terrazza è incantevole! Il mio ragazzo guidava per cui abbiamo fatto una sola degustazione premium, al costo di 20€ che comprendeva 5 vini. Durata totale circa un'ora, hanno un negozio dove è possibile acquistare ovviamente bottiglie. Personale preparato e molto gentile. Assolutamente consigliata la visita!

Esse lugar é imperdível, esta é uma vinícola familiar com funcionários extremamente acolhedores, o atendimento é super personalizado. Os vinhos são excelentes, e todos estão disponíveis para a compra ao final da visita. Infelizmente não consegui fazer o picnic pois precisa marcar com certa antecedência durante os meses de verão. A vista do Vale do Douro é um espetáculo. Um super obrigado a Ana pelo excelente trabalho durante nossa visita.

Such a great experience!! Fabulous service + gorgeous view + great red wines (esp if you're tired of ports). Went on a Sunday not knowing they're usually closed. They Happened to be hosting a small private event so the one woman working, Maria, said she'd be more than happy to give us a tasting and encouraged us to hang out and relax as long as we wanted with a glass. Another couple came through 20 minutes later and she was just as welcoming to them, despite being technically closed. Maria then recommended other wineries nearby and even called to make reservations for us! To top it off, Popa's reds + blends are fabulous, full bodied, and a great mix to all the port offerings elsewhere.

We were on our honeymoon and had such a lovely experience! The staff was young, enthusiastic and super helpful. We had a great picnic overlooking the Douro river. Obrigado!

UNBEATABLE tasting experience. Breathtaking views, large gardens for tasting/lounging, warm and friendly staff, amazing wines (many highly ranked) and tasting. Great picnic. One of the best wine experiences our group ever had.

Absolutely spectacular winery and restaurant. We had their picnic lunch which was meats, cheese, bread, olives, fruit, and a bottle of wine. It was really all you needed for the perfect picnic. And the view from the lunch spots is incredible - you look out from the side of a mountain over the terraced rows of grapes and see the Douro river. Couldn't be better. Make sure you make a reservation though - they don't normally take walk ins. One note - googles directions are incorrect here to here - just go past where it tells you to turn off the main highway and follow the signs to Quinta do Popa. There is a giant metal gate next to the road - you can't miss it.

We had the best time possible. The staff was very generous and the tour was well worth the price. The wine was great. We're glad we chose a smaller quinta with this kind of friendly atmosphere.

We had a wonderful experience at Quinta do Popa. Layla gave us an impromptu tour and was full of information about the local wines, the region and winemaking traditions. We will stop here again when we return to the Douro

A experiência da vindimas foi fantástica! Um programa muito descontraído, sem pressas, com boa comida e (obviamente) bom vinho. Houve tempo para apanhar uvas com os trabalhadores, pisar as uvas e ouvir as histórias da quinta. A paisagem para o rio Douro é lindíssima.
