My daughter and I absolutely loved the Casa do Visconde. It’s paradise- from the magical views, perfectly appointed rooms, pool, helpful staff, amenities, wine and the food! Everyone there had an option to eat dinner out or at the Casa-and each night every seat was full. That tells you something! 3 course meals and plenty of wine. Breakfasts were plentiful and the coffee strong and the view astonishing. I sure hope to be able to return some day!

Absolute paradise! My boyfriend actually booked this place swearing it is the best hotel in the country based on trip advisor reviews...I was a bit skeptical, but am definitely convinced! This place was an absolute gem! First off the views were amazing! You see hills and hills of vineyards all around, but in addition to that they had a lovely garden full of blossoming roses, lavender and etc! The pool area was in garden. The room we stayed in, room number 1, was spacious (the bed was a Californian king size) and super clean! The service was quick, attentive, and always with a smile! I absolutely loved this place and would already like to go back!!

This place was a piece of paradise for real! The pool, the view, the food, the staff was top notch! We stayed in the deluxe room which was equally amazing. I could go on and on about this place. Heaven!

Lugar ideal para vacaciones familiares tranquilas. Edificios bien acondicionados con habitaciones acogedoras, piscina, yacusi, pistas de tenis y de pingpong. Comedor en terraza con un extraordinario buffet de desayuno y una oferta de cena con maridaje de vinos de Douro muy sugerente. En nuestro caso, un buen oporto con el aperitivo, un buen blanco con segundo plato y un tinto con la carne.

Lovely place. We stayed 4 nights and had a wonderful time. Make sure you ask about their dinner service; good and convenient. Wish the weather would have cooperated as the pool looked so inviting. Great views of the Douro Valley and vineyards. Personable service with help booking local excursions.

We had a wonderful stay at Chanceleiros. Ursula paid attention to every detail. Large room, large bathroom, very clean and very well stocked. Home cooked meal for dinner was lovely. Views are amazing, one very nice touch was the game room with pool table. Only regret is we were there in November at not able to use pool. Would definitely stay here again.

Privately run establishment. Proprietor Ursala is very engaged to ensure all needs are met. From dinner that evening to discussion with the guests at dinner on how the day went. We were a party of 8, one family, 4 rooms. Younger to older adults, and all came away saying how lovely everything is. If you appreciate personal attention, smaller property with all the amenities, I couldn't recommend it more.

This hotel is a magical place. I spent two nights here, and I was completely enamored by its charm. It is very intimate and homey, and the owner Ursula and the staff were all so kind. There are beautiful views, a pool, hot tub, tennis court, and hammocks. Be sure to try their multi-course dinner! The menu changes every day and the food is very delicious.

I stayed at the Chanceleiros Guesthouse for a couple of days in June of 2016. It turned out be an unexpected gem! I booked a room with a view over the garden. It was spacious. bright, private and very clean. We had our breakfast and dinner at the guesthouse on their patio and I've got to say, I've never eaten so well. The food and wine were delicious, the atmosphere relaxing. Ursula and the staff were the perfect hosts. The 2 days spent there turned out to be the highlight of my vacation to Porto and Douro valley. i will definitely return. Many thanks to Ursula and her staff for making us feel like family! Ron
