Fiquei uma semana neste Hostel e adorei. Anfitrião e staff super simpáticos e preocupados com o bem estar dos hóspedes. Jardim exterior e piscina muito aprazíveis, bem como todo o local sempre bastante limpo e cuidado. Zona onde está situado é muito tranquila e fica a 10 minutos a pé de várias praias. Dispõe de opção de quartos partilhados, quartos particulares e bungalows para grupos, equipados com tudo o que é necessário. Certamente um lugar para voltar!

Uno de los mejores hostels de Portugal. Si eres surfer es perfecto, si no lo eres y deseas ir con tu pareja a relajar, tambien! 100% recomendado.

הוסטל מהמם מציע המון, יוגה ,בריכה גריל. צוות מתוק אבל הם המון מתנדבים ודי סגורים בתוך עצמם, היה קשה להתייעץ איתם או לקבל חוות דעת. כל פעם ששאלו שאלות והתייעצו זה הרגיש שמציקים להם וחבל המרחק מהחוף קצת מבאס אבל בסכה שווה הגעה!

Awesome Hostel! I spend one week at funky monkey in october. The place is not only clean and has nice facilities, it also has a wonderful garden and a swimmingpool which is perfect for hot days. For me as a solo traveler it was very easy to meet new people, especially at the hostel bar :) Additionally the staff organizes group activities where you can have fun with others. The staff is very friendly and always helpful. Funky monkey cooperates with a very good surfschool and the rooftop Yoga class in town is amazing!

Trato inmejorable. Staff muy agradable. Recomiendo la experiencia de pasar allí una semana. Se crea un clima familiar y muy divertido gracias a los trabajadores y al dueño Jesús.

Hostel increíble en una semana conseguimos crear una gran familia. Te ayudan en todo lo que está en su mano. Son muy amables y siempre montan cosas para que la gente que viaja se una en grupo y disfrute de una experiencia maravillosa!!! Lo recomiendo sin dudarlo!!!

Gran experiencia! El staff majisimo, fui en agosto con una amiga y lo pasamos genial. Algunas noches hacen actividades q hacen que los guest nos conozcamos y después...a la zona de fiesta :)

This was one of the places we were most looking forward too! But on arrival we quickly realised that it had all the potential but absolutely no soul. You got the feeling from staff that you were a burden, and that they were not really welcome to new people. The bar was rarely open and they didnt play much music, creating a weird atmosphere overall. I would advise against this place if you are a lone traveller. It's not easy to meet people when there is not a lot of entertainment provided by the hostel. Breakfast is quite awkward as everyone is sat around waiting for pancakes at the same time. Monday's are no breakfast provided so you have to make your own. We came here as a group of 3 and all saw the potential for this place to be amazing. But they need to create a better vibe, with pool games, music, maybe some comfy cushions for the roof!

Great friendly place, the staff is super nice. There's free yoga and breakfest! You have a cozy main room, a lot of hammocks and a pool. Can reccomend it to anyone staying in the area

Wowww what a experience. The house is like a family summer house but with people from all over the world. The pool is beautiful and even in winter you can try a jump, because the weather is great (f a w). They staff who are from every where are great, especially Diego, Milva, Olivia, Yolanda, Daniela, Austrian Girl. If you follow the hostel on Instagram you get a free Drink . The beds are very Conf and the whole hostel very well maintained. Only 15 mim walking distance from the Beachs ‍. The Rooftop is incredible, for Sunset and also Sunrise ☀️♥️

Muy buen lugar .mucha limpieza y muy buena atención por parte de Kati la chica de recepción pendiente de que estés como en tu casa. Cuando volvamos a Sagres este será nuestro alojamiento sin duda. Ambiente muy acogedor.

Spent 2 nights here, but could have easily spent 2 weeks. They've a wonderful team working hard to make you feel welcome. Everything and everywhere was spotlessly clean. They have free yoga twice a day, comfy, private beds and a super cozy common room with a working fireplace. Thanks for everything guys. Hope to see you again some day!

Precio un poco alto para lo que ofrecen. Desayuno gratis y abundante, pero a primera hora te toca hacerlo de pie porque el comedor es minusculo: una mesa de 6 con banco corrido en una esquina.

Bonito hostal, limpio y agradable. Las habitaciones son un poco pequeñas. Personal muy amable.

Un posto veramente accogliente che consiglierei a chiunque ami la condivisione e la pace: sembrano contrastanti, ma in questo ostello combaciano perfettamente. Se ti piacciono pace e silenzio qui ognuno può creare il proprio spazio (c’è anche chi lavora col proprio pc in sala comune o cucina la mattina), se invece la sera vuoi vivere la condivisione c’è la possibilità di cenare tutti insieme, ragazzi di qualsiasi provenienza che si mettono in gioco. Età media 20/30 anni. Il tutto è possibile grazie alle ragazze meravigliose che ci lavorano, disponibili e gentilissime. In più per essere un ostello è assolutamente pulito. Lo consiglierei 100 volte.

One of the best hostels I’ve been so far. The location on the edge of Sagres ist just perfect, a huge, neat outdoor area, rooftop yoga every morning and a free shuttle offer each day to the beaches and to the inner city which is amazing if you do not have a car. Hostpitality is written in capitals and the staff is helpful and friendly. If you are looking for a tiny sanctuary at “the and of the world” with good waves this is the place. + very relaxed vibe due to the different guesttypes

La struttura centrale è pulita e ben organizzata. I bungalow forse un po’ piccoli ma vi è tutto. Il personale è sempre disponibile, gentile e con il sorriso. Vi sono vari servizi messi a disposizione: la sera viene organizzato aperitivo e viene acceso un barbecue su cui è possibile cucinare ciò che si vuole. La mattina è possibile fare yoga. È possibile inoltre noleggiare surf e muta per la giornata. La colazione è essenziale, ma sufficiente per cominciare bene la giornata. È stato un bel soggiorno! Grazie!

Hostel increíble, todo muy limpio, el personal muy amable, súper cómodo, un ambiente muy internacional, los colchones de muy buena calidad, la zona de la piscina está muy bien para relajarte por completo, tiene actividades todos los días, barbacoa por las noches, los chicos del hotel te acercan a las playas, tienen material para hacer surf y el dueño Jesus nos explico y nos recomendó todo lo necesario para iniciarnos . Recomendable para todos los públicos ya que tiene habitaciones individuales, compartidas y bungalows privados.Me ha gustado mucho me he sentido como en casa, un 100% recomendable, repetiré sin duda!!

Really great hostel with a very friendly and helpful crew. The hostel is clean and taken care of, with enough space in their gardens to enjoy the sun and fresh air. The vibe is laid back and fun, with activities and a BBQ every night. They've really included everything you can imagine for a relaxing and interesting visit to sagres.

Gostei da experiência, no entanto acho estranho o staff não falar português.

One of the best hostel ever! Great atmosphere, BBQ for free (bring your own neat), table tennis tables, table football. Staff is lovely and breakfast included.

Un espacio con muy buen rollo, el staff encantador y el bungalow impecable, se nota que la limpieza está entre sus prioridades. está cerca de muchas playas y siempre hay opciones con más y menos olas, tanto para surfear como para disfrutar de un dia de playa tranquilo. un día incluso hicimos barbacoa con más personas que había en el hostel, muuy buen rollo. supermercados cerca, gasolinera, tiendas, restaurantes, todo comodidades... el precio muy bueno para todo lo que ofrecen y bastante mejor que la media del entorno. al llegar te sientes como en casa. la cocina muy limpia y con todos los utensilios necesarios para cocinar desde una tortilla hasta la bbq!! las personas que había muy respetuosas y muy buena energía. la sala de estar y la zona chill siempre con algún huésped disfrutando. volveré Bravo!!!

Great great great! Nice people who talk openly to new guests. I was a part of the community and met new people in the hostel within minutes. Nights were quiet, even the dorms. I'm more than happy that i chose Funky Monkey, and i would definetly recommend it to everyone who's open minded :)

Der inner circle scheint die Hostelgäste generell nicht zu mögen. Teilweise echt komische Mitarbeiter. Aber wenn man für lau arbeitet, kein Wunder, dass man dann so unfreundlich wird.

Walked into the place and it smelt of the bathroom. Then we bought a beer, a mini beer, for €1.50. Most expensive beer the whole time in Portugal. The staff over run the place like it's their place and it just wasn't an enjoyable place to stay for us.

Ficamos hospedado na opção do “bungalow” que é um container convertido em sala/cozinha, dois dormitórios e bwc. As instalações são antigas e improvisadas, não há ventilador (e nem disponível pelo hostel), a qualidade do sono é baixa, duas camas de casal que estão precisando ser trocadas (colchão fino) e estrutura metálica barulhenta. Banheiro com ralo que não aguenta o fluxo de água e alagando. Fica localizado em uma área não tão povoada, mas com vida noturna a poucos minutos de caminhada. Estacionamento em frente ao hostel, na rua – público. A área comum do hostel é interessante, possui um terraço com bela vista de Sagres, piscina e churrasqueira. Internet sofrível e funciona apenas na área comum, próximo da piscina/recepção. Não esqueça de levar toalha de banho, não é disponibilizada pelo estabelecimento. Hostel estilo barateza, com gente do mundo todo animada. Indicado para dormir e aproveitar a praia

Funky Monkey es un remanso de sana locura. Todo el equipo transmite buena energía. Si buscas el mejor sitio para quedarte durante tu estancia surfera en Sagres y alrededores, ESTE ES TU SITIO!!

Vamos a ver...funky, monky es un hostel compuesto de una extraa y agradable clientela, mezcla de treinteañeros españoles, portugueses, americanos, alemanes....etc. Es un hostel sin pretensiones, y eso kiere decir ke las duchas y los waters se comparten, ke no hay television, que las puertas se cierran con candados , que no sabes bien kien es el jefe, porque cada vez ke pides algo te atiende una persona distinta, amabilisima por cierto. Es un hostel no apto para personas ke no kieran revivir sus treinta años y ke no tengan fe en la bondad de los seres humanos, pues te encuentras moviles y recepcion dejados a la mano de Dios. El trato, repito, es excelente y tienen una furgoneta ke te lleva a las playas y luego te recogen, se hacen barbacoas, se dan clases de yoga...etc Yo estuve dos dias y me resulto agradable; eso si, tuve ke kitarme 30 años de encima. Ademas me resulto muy bien de precio al compararlo con otros hoteles de sagres. Se trata de un sitio en el ke la gente de 20 a 30 años busca su identidad. Repito: trato inmejorable.

Came for 3 days but ended up staying for a week, stayed in a double room then a cabin. Everywhere was really clean and one of the better laid out and equipped hostels I've stayed at. The staff were amazing, friendly and helpful with local advice :) chilled out vibes with a bar and pool, what's not to like!?

Sin duda la mejor opción calidad precio, muy por encima de las expectativas. La localización es estupenda, aún más si a lo que vas es a surfear. Tienes las mejores playas a un paseito. El lugar es sencillo y acogedor. Casi en su totalidad "hecho a mano" por los propietarios, se percibe una energía y un cariño que lo hace especial. Barbacoa, futbolín, mesa de ping pong, consola en el salón, varias guitarras. Piscina, bar y desplazamiento a la playa en temporada sob algunos de los equipamientos. En definitiva el buen ambiente esta asegurado. Tienen literas, tiendas de campaña y bungalows. La cocina está muy cuidada, y siempre en orden. Parece que todo el staff hace surf y en su ratos libres van a la playa. Uno de ellos, Paul nos hizo casi como de guía privado acompañandonos todas las mañanas a surfear y llevándonos a los mejores spots. Jesús, también muy amable solución en un par de ocasiones algunas de nuestra necesidades durante la semana que estuvimos. Experiencia memorable, al segundo día te sientes parte de una pequeña familia de viajeros en el sur de Portugal. Si lo que buscas es lujo, formalismos y el agua de mar te produce urticaria, funky monkey no es tu sitio.

L'hostel è meraviglioso, con enormi giardini, bar, amache e terrazza. L'ambiente è giovanile e dinamico, ed I titolari simpaticissimi. Potrei viverci...

Low budget hostel. The hostel rooms are nicer than the Bungalows. Nice atmosphaire, but not very clean. Unfortunately the Pool is closed. On the Sofas in the livingroom living some chiggers and sand fleas. 

Friendly and helpful staff. The place is a bit far outside so a car is very useful. The showers smell a bit. The room was ok, the mattress was not the best an the pillows had some stains. All in all ok for the money.

Great place to stay. Very chilled vibe and everyone is very helpful. Bring a car to get to the surfspots.
