Jantamos no Vila Velha dia 12-06-2020. O serviço foi impecável e o espaço é agradável. Em relação ao que nos foi servido infelizmente não correspondeu às expectativas. A espetada de frango com molho de amendoim estava deliciosa mas o ananás e a banana parecem perdidos no meio daquele molho. O bife com cogumelos e bacon estava delicioso mas sem um molho que ligasse todo o prato. Os acompanhamentos, com excepção das batatas salteadas, eram do mais banal possível com destaque para as horríveis batatas fritas congeladas. Em relação às sobremesas o creme brûlée estava delicioso, com a crosta devidamente crocante e queimada no momento. O gelado caseiro se chocolate com chantilly estava uma desilusão. Não tinha a consistência aveludada nem a riqueza do chocolate que se espera de um gelado do tipo. Por uma refeição de cerca de 70 euros seria de esperar muito mais. O bom: o serviço, o pão caseiro, o vinho da casa e o creme brûlée O mau: o gelado de chocolate com chantilly O péssimo: a falta de imaginação nos acompanhamentos e as batatas fritas congeladas

Good food and excellent service in a pleasant setting. Only drawback was that our table was too small.

Horrible, horrible place! Must be faked positive reviews. Ordered a rabbit which is so salty that I cannot have a single bite. The cook must have poured the whole pot of salt into the rabbit to make up for the 20 euro plus price for this piece of old meat. A small glass of wine is 9 euro. Too pricy and too low quality. AVOID at all cost!!!!

Ein gehobenes Restaurant mit feiner portugiesischer und internationaler Küche (endlich wieder ein ordentliches Steak). Das Ambiente ist klassisch und gemütlich, mit Kaminfeuer. Die Bedienung ist super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen ist lecker. Die Preise sind zwar ebenfalls gehoben, aber manchmal sollte man sich auch ein tolles Dinner gönnen.

Cher pour le pays mais les clients se font plaisir comme chez eux, au pays. A découvrir. Pour NS, 2 entrées + 2 brochettes de poissons + 4 verres de vin pour 100€. Sortons repus et satisfaits. De plus, avantage, nous logeons juste à côté à La Casa do Cabo De Santa Maria (6 chambres et 3 appartements) à cinq cents m du port.

Se veut être un restaurant gastronomique mais sans prétention. Les plats sont fins et raffinés. Nous n’avons pas essayé les viandes mais les poissons sont extra et la soupe de poisson en entrée est copieuse sans parler des œufs brouillés Par contre pour le Portugal c’est cher. Ce sont des prix à touriste Le personnel est très sympathique en plus.

Accueil tres sympathique de toutes les serveuses dans un cadre un peu daté mais très cosy. La CB est acceptée, ce qui n’est pas le cas dans tous les restaurants, nous en avons fait l’experience deja 3 fois en 5 jours au Portugal. Nous avons mangé en terrasse laterale qui est tres agreable et calme. Nous nous sommes régalés avec un plat maison de morue seche aux petits legumes en sauce cremeuse et sa corolle de purée gratiné au four. Avec 3 sortes de tapas, 3 apéros, 2 plats principaux de morue, une crepe dessert velha tres copieuse partagée a 2 et un thé l’addition a ete de 59€. Nous ne regrettons pas car ce fut une bonne rencontre culinaire.

Buena atencion, calidad y ptecio no elevado

Excellent Restaurant. The waiters were all very kind and attentioned. We had fresh sea food suggestion of the day. Mixed skewer with scallops and prawns as well as tuna steak. Nice vegetables with mashed patatoes. Nice ambiente. Go for it. Don‘t hesitate.

Lugar aconchegante, uma magia especial no ar. Comida 5****, ótimo atendimento. Um lugar a visitar em Sagres.

Absolutely NOT baby- and kids-friendly! We wanted to dine at Vila Velha and entered the place super early at 7pm. We had our 8 months old baby with us. As we were seated the lady asked if we would like a babychair and then said „I just want to warn you: you need to make sure that your baby is really quiet“. As I replied that babies and kids giggle and talk, but won’t disturb anybody, she got angry and told me „Oh no, kids don’t talk. Adults talk!“ I asked if we should leave then, and she asked us to please do so. What she didn’t know: we have the calmest baby on earth and go out for dinner with him every night on our trip here in Portugal. If he is too lively, we put him in the carrier and he sleeps. Super easy. But the waitress was so unfriendly - though just two tables in the restaurant were taken and everybody smiled as us with our baby when we entered - that we rather left that place. I don’t want to spent time at a place where my baby is not welcome!

Fish food of the day (pricey but worth it), many fish dishes, meat and also several vegetarian options. Every dish is very tasty and "taylor made". Strong suggestion: go for the olive oil starters. Best olive oil ever tasted in my life (and I'm picky!)

Excelente, ambiente acolhedor comida deliciosa

Wat hebben wij hier lekker gegeten!! De lamskoteletjes en de Sirloin steak waren fantastisch. De kruiden, de kwaliteit van het vlees echt top. De groente, beetgaar en de salade als garnituur bij de hoofdgerechten waren top. De huiswijn was soepel en prima! De nagerechten, de crepe, het ijs met banaan en chocoladesaus waren een feestje. Wat een smaaksensatie en wat waren we blij dat we gereserveerd hadden, deze zaak is tercht waanzinnig populair.

Amabilidad y buena comida. Cuidan mucho el ambiente, gusta mucho comer o cenar rodeado de ese ambiente tranquilo y cuidado. Los precios, lo normal en un restaurante de ese tipo, rondando los 65€ la pareja. Recomendable.

Non mi ritrovo proprio con altre recensioni di questo ristorante. Il pesce non mi pare così fresco, con una vetrina del pescato mignon contenente pesci che non sembravano così freschi; tant'è che quello da loro definito pescato del giorno veniva preparato solo a filetti. Prezzi un po' alti. In definitiva non posso dire si sia mangiato male ma a Sagres c'è decisamente di meglio.

Cenamos y nos gustó mucho y el personal amabilísimo. Comimos un revuelto para compartir y una parrillada de verduras con queso y la especialidad: bacalao desmigado al horno con puré de patata. Este último muy sabroso, original y jugoso. El local muy tranquilo y elegante, muy recomendable.

Es un lugar muy agradable. Tomamos aceite y unas aceitunas de entrante y bacalao a la portuguesa. Muy rico. Buen trato. Con vino y postre 64€

Traditional Portugal coisine with international taste

Köstlich, und auch einen Ticken anders und raffinierter zubereitet. Sogar Vegetarier (Portugal!) finden hier etwas Leckeres. Perfekter freundlicher Service. Nur das Musikgeklimpere war mir zu viel.

Everything very good from the bread made in house to the desert. We had the arroz de pato (rice with duck) and the Borrego (lamb chop), both great. A little pricey but it values it.

You can count with friendly staff and a, generally, quiet atmosphere. The meal options can vary depending on the day, but you'll often be surprised with the overall quality of the ingredients. Prices can be a bit too steep, though. That's why we can rate 5. It's still a great place to go, but be prepared for expensive dishes.

Buen servicio y buen ambiente. La comida muy buena. La espetada de langostinos, tamboril y vieiras espectacular. La creme bruele de postre riquísima...Pero nos resultó carisimo.

El sitio es bonito, la comida buena y el trato muy amable, sin embargo hay dos cosas que deben mejorar. La primera es que si te ponen en la terraza porque supuestamente tienen todas las mesas reservadas no salgas oliendo a cocina. La segunda es el precio: si cobras la dorada a 29€ porque es fresca (del día) al menos pon la dorada entera y no la mitad. Pero bueno, es verano y el sitio es turístico así que ya se sabe... La crema brulé es un espectáculo, muy buena si van os la recomiendo.

Alles in allem ein schönes Restaurant, dass seinem preislichen Anspruch nicht ganz entspricht. Wir waren hier an einem regnerischen Frühjahrstag im März 2017. Der Kamin war an und hat gleich eine behagliche Atmosphäre verbreitet. Als erste Gäste direkt um 18 Uhr war das Restaurant noch leer und wir hatten die gesamte Aufmerksamkeit des Personal. Für unseren 1,5 jährigen Sohn gab es einen Hochstuhl der sehr hochwertig und sauber war (Durchaus auch in Deutschland kein Standard). Auch sonst war das Restaurant schön und gemütlich eingerichtet mit Landwirtschaftsgeräten aus dem letzten Jahrhundert. Die Bedienung war unterschiedlich. Die Dame die uns hauptsächlich bediente war freundlich, zügig und zuvorkommend. Unser Sohn hat sie sehr gemocht. Die zweite Dame, die anscheinend auch die Schicht leitete, war etwas grummelig und unser Sohn mochte sie nicht ;-) . So jetzt aber zum essen. Die Karte ist gut zusammengestellt und bietet sowohl lokale Speisen, ergänzt um internationale Gerichte. Die Vorspeisen waren ok, aber das Humus zum Beispiel nichts besonderes. Zum Hauptgang hatte ich ein Doradenfilet. Dieses recht lieblos gewürzt und das Gemüse war auch nichts besonderes, da hätte ich mir für EUR 27,- mehr erwartet (Kenne vor Ort genug Strandbuden in der Nähe, die das wesentlich besser für den halben Preis hin kriegen). Meine Mutter hatte den Stockfisch mit Reise, dessen Rahmsauce sehr salzig war. Der Stockfisch an sich ist zwar salzig, aber dies ging über das übliche Level hinaus (Meine Mutter war hier schon mal vor Jahren und hatte bessere Erinnerungen). Der Wein war ok, aber da bin ich auch kein Maßstab und will mir kein Urteil erlauben. Wirklich gut waren dann die Deserts. Da haben wir alle nochmal ordentlich zugeschlagen. Zu ergänzen wäre noch, dass es zwar keine Wickelstation gibt, aber die Bedienung sehr freundlich war und uns im WC Bereich zwei Stühle zusammengestellt hat. Auch sonst gab es kein Problem mit einem Kleinkind, allerdings ist unser Sohn auch verträglich was die Lautstärke und Geduld in solchen Situationen angeht. Da gab es andere Rezensenten mit schlechteren Erfahrungen, die ich so nicht teilen kann. Zusammengefasst kann man hier in schönen Ambiente zu etwas überhöhten Preisen ordentlich essen.

Amazing! Excellent food - fish!!!, marvellous ambience and atmosphere, wonderful staff - funny, helpful, warm with a sunny smile - always. Had dinner 2 times during my holiday there!

bad decorated, from another times period, but great food. we went there with our two year old girl that was a little loud and then we had a very bizarre encounter with the female house dragon. Never experienced such unfriendliness and kid hating. We would have left but where too perplexed. the nice staff was clearly embarrassed an tried to do there best to make up. Later when the place was packed it was so loud you could have not spotted any noise from a child, let alone hear yourself talk.

Good food, expensive, nice atmosphere. Go for something on the fish of the day menu and the Houmous is very good

Restaurante óptimo. Comemos o bife da vazia com cogumelos e bacon, e o caril vegetariano com arroz de feijão e ambos estavam óptimos. Para terminar, o crepe vila velha que estava espetacular. Excelente atendimento e aceitam reservas. Recomenda-se!

Un lujo a un precio excepcional

Staff is extremely welcoming and the food is good. Extremely overpriced dough... You can eat the same for half the price on other restaurants in the area.

If you like fresh food, excellent service in lovely sourendings this is the right place to go. We will be back!

Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. There is a policy of no more than 6 different main courses per table, something to do with ensuring all the dishes get served at the same time I think. However, we were a party of 10 (6 adults and 4 children) and everything worked out perfectly. Food was flavoursome and plentiful, 3 courses and drinks, price worked out at about €30 per head.

Food quite good, although not excellent, staff very friendly, but the prices are higher than in the most expensive areas in Italy or France, absolutely exaggerated. You end up paying 40-50€ for an average dinner (wine not included!) and the cutlery is made of plastic... They even charge for bread. Cannot recommend the place.

Excellent place - by far the best between Sagres and Lagos and one of the few really good ones in the West Algarve!
