We had the "Gambas" for starters followed by a Tarbot ( catch of the day ) with boiled potatoes. Both dishes where perfectly prepared. The seasoning was heavenly. The waiters where very helpful and filled the fish for us, would be a shame if I'd ruined it.

Die Calamares und der Fisch wurden direkt auf dem Grill gebraten. Es waren 2 herrlich, einfache Gerichte!
Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und nett.
Ein Kindersitz war auch vorhanden.
Der Tisch war etwas Klein, aber es passte ins Lokal. Von unserem Platz aus konnte man in die Fischhalle sehen. Dort konnte man die Fischer bei einem Teil ihrer Arbeit beobachten.
Es war eine schöne Erfahrung.

Une superbe découverte ! Le poisson est ultra frais (50m entre le port et le resto) et choisi à l'arrivée au restaurant. Les serveurs sont très agréables ! Je recommande vivement si vous êtes amateur de poisson.

Geschmacklich sehr gut! Kann man nichts sagen. Mit einer kleinen Vorspeise und zwei Hauptspeisen (Tageskarte) haben wir 33€ gezahlt. Sehr netter Service, gutes Essen, faire Preise.

Decepción,
Fuimos a este restaurante por la buena calificación y buscando un buen pescado con el aliciente de estar en el puerto pesquero.
Pedimos de primero unos calamares a la romana y nos trajeron unos calamares rebozados congelados de hipermercado cutre incomibles.
No salimos de nuestro asombro, máxime cuando en la vitrina del pescado exiben calamares a 37.5 € kilo, y la lubina a la plancha que tambien pedimos estaba en los estandares esperados.
Cuando nos quejamos empezamos a comprender. El veterano portugues que nos atendió no era el propietario, siendo este un güiri con poca idea, pensando que como la mayoría de los clientes son extranjeros puede timar al personal que no muy experto en estos temas ofreciendo calamares a la andaluza y dando bazofia. En fin, una pena y un detallo muy cutre y suficiente para hundir un sitio con posibilidades.

Fantastic fishing port restaurant. This is a typical fishermen's café, on top of the fish auction, where they also serve meals cooking fish from the harbour for you, on demand.
I found this place a very cosy local place where to enjoy a meal at the same time you enjoy the harbour's lifestyle around you. The bar is on top of the harbour's fish trade market. They have windows over the auction area from where you can enjoy all the action below at the same time you enjoy a meal or a drink.
The service was also superb. Most staff are 100% bilingual English & Portuguese and they are very kind at all times.
The fish and squid was fantastic and also the local deserts (egg pudim or regular one) were incredibly good.
It's definitely worth a visit if you like fish and its related industry.

von außen eher unscheinbar. Es ist weit besser als der Name „snakbar“ erwarten lässt. Die Fischer an der Theke machen das besondere aus. Der Fisch war super gebraten. Mit Salzkruste. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hat uns gute Tipps gegeben.

This place is amazing. It is run by three brothers and their parents. They speak perfect English and German and are the friendliest staff we have met. You will get the freshest fish here. The food and the place itself is very simple but very very tasty. If you’re lucky, you can get a look at the harbour warehouse when they sort the newly arrived fish.

Als Einzelperson habe ich heute in diesem von außen unscheinbaren Restaurant gegessen. Das Essen war echt phantastisch gut - der Service sehr freundlich ... aber für die DORADE wurden mir sage und schreibe 19 Euro (!) ohne „ Vorwarnung „ berechnet. Zusammen mit einem Beilagensalat - Oliven mit Brot - ein Dessert und eine kleine Flasche Mineralwasser wurde mir dann die Rechnung über 27,60 Euro präsentiert.
Noch bin ich mir unsicher, ob der Preis dieser DORADE mit 19 Euro (!) trotz meiner Reklamation in Ordnung war. Zwei Sterne Abzug, weil ich von dem zuständigen Kellner nicht vorgewarnt wurde.

Good fresh seafood. Enjoyed Octopus salad, sea bass, potatoes etc. Lovely spot sitting outside, though it doesn’t face the water on the other side of the building it is probably better as it is out of of the wind. Friendly, intuitive waiter.

Barmans are very nice, and the price is really good. I don't put 5 stars because the calamares a la sevillana were quite bad, but the pescado do dia was amazing. I recommend it.

Recomendable comer el la terraza un buen Rodaballo. Tienen pescado frescos del dia. Bien de precio. Es para sin prisa. Sacan los platos poco a poco y te preguntan el orden. El camarero con Coleta es muy amable

Todo un descubrimiento. Situado en el puerto y encima de la lonja, pescado super fresco hecho a la brasa. Los postres caseros impresionantes. El servicio muy atento y profesional. Hemos comido muchísimo y ha salido a 21€ por cabeza. En la terraza hacía muchísimo viento pero así y todo merece la pena. Desde luego, sitio muy recomendable.

Visited the restaurant on July 17 for a light lunch and tried the goose barnacles and grilled Mackerel. The owner and staff were extremely nice and the food excellent. Decided today to book a lobster cataplana for tomorrow and found out they were closed for the weekend but was willing to accommodate us today for a meal at 5pm. We came back for our 5pm seating and was blown away by the fresh lobster cataplana. Absolutely delicious finished off with a wonderful fig tart.

Super resto de poissons hyper frais car collé à la criée. Un très bon accueil av des serveurs très efficaces qui font l'effort de parler français. Les plats sont simples mais copieux et on se régale à coup sûr. On nous montre les poissons avant de les faire cuire et on ns en annonce les prix avt, car c au kilo, du coup, pas de mauvaise surprise... un très bon endroit à ne surtout pas rater. Bravo

Haben den Tipp von einer Mitarbeiterin der letzten Bratwurst bekommen, weil wir frischen Fisch essen wollten. Wir waren begeistert. Das Restaurant befindet sich direkt über dem Fischmarkt (man kann vom Restaurant direkt runter in die Halle gucken) und dementsprechend frisch ist er auch.
Alle Kellner waren richtig nett, lustig, zuvorkommend, gastfreundlich und der Jüngere der Kellner hat uns super beraten. Wir waren von allem begeistert. Haben Pulposalat, Tintenfisch, Riesengarnele (wirklich groß) und Adlerfisch gegessen. Dazu Brot, Butter und Sardellenpaste. Traumhaft lecker! Für diesen Geschmack und die Frische bezahlt man gerne etwas mehr, wobei es alles wert war.
Wir geben diesen Tipp also gerne weiter.

Bon restaurant où l'on est servi vite, qui accepte la carte bancaire. Il y a beaucoup de clients, mais la terrasse est grande, et protégée du vent. Si vous allez marcher sur le promontoire à deux, vous aurez une vue plongeante sur toute la baie.

Al fin y al cabo lo están comprando en el mismo sitio a la cuarta parte del precio (ya que están encima de la Lonja de pescado, donde lo estarás viendo)....sino menos de "extranjis". En definitiva, desproporcionado; precios de restaurante en tabernucha engañosa!
Deberíamos seleccionar lo que escribimos, de lo contrario engañamos y creamos falsas expectativas a los usuarios!!!

Fuimos a comer ayer, preguntamos por el menú (plato del dia), y nos dijeron que no había... pero resulta que para los que no éramos extranjeros si había...
Calidad normal , pero pague el lenguado a 55€ kilo...
A la carta no lo recomiendo. Por la noche fuimos a cenar al restaurante también de sagres (se llama escondidinho). Muchísimo mejor y más barato.

O melhor do que vem do mar. Sempre fresco, sempre saboroso, e no sitio certo para se estar, no Porto das pescas, onde se pode ver tudo a acontecer com os próprios olhos.
Simpatia deste sitio de familia é outro dos grandes argumentos. Em Sagres, não se pode falhar este!

Nous sommes tombés dessus par hasard...
L'accueil très sympa et arrangeant, nous sommes arrives à 6 vers 14h et les personnes qui nous ont accueillis ce sont mis en quatre pour nous trouver une grande table....
Ensuite ont choisi dans une vitrine,le poisson qu'ils vont nous préparer.. puis ils vous le cuisine grillé au barbecue.
Pour nous c'était un énorme Bar pour 3 et des encornets... Un vrai plaisir pour les yeux et les papilles et le tous servie avec le sourire dans une ambiance simple et convivial .... Nous nous sommes régalés..
A mon avis ça devait être un lieu incontournable

Небольшой рыбный ресторанчик в порту. Свежайшая рыба и морепродукты, которые вы выбираете сами перед приготовлением. Мастерское приготовление и помощь в раскладке на порции. Взяли палтуса 1,3 кг на четверых. 40 евро за кило(гарнир в цене). Нереально вкусно.

Wat een fantastische plek om te eten. Niks speciaal aan het restaurant maar het eten is er fenomenaal. De bediening heel vlot en passen perfect in het kader. De vis wordt je nog eens getoond voor ze hem klaarmaken. Super vers. Heerlijk gewoon ❤️

The fish here was fantastic, the service was brilliant and the whole dining experience was lovely.
Don't expect a fancy menu here... Just the freshest fish you can imagine, cooked to perfection
Bonus points for getting to watch the fish auction after lunch, that was done experience too!!

Restaurant direkt im Hafen !! Aussen und Innenplätze. Frische Fischgerichte. Alles noch sehr ursprünglich. Wird auch von den einheimischen Fischern besucht.

Locale nel porto di Sagres, molto semplice ma pesce freschissimo! Si può dire dal pescatore al consumatore!
Da fuori il locale non dice nulla di che ma quando vedi il parcheggio strapieno di macchine inizi a farti qualche domanda, poi vedendo la vetrina col pescato capisci in che posto sei capitato. La cottura alla griglia (fatta da due signori sui 60 anni che vedi subito essere in possesso di tutto il know how necessario per l'importante compito cui sono destinati) è semplicemente perfetta.
Purtroppo è aperto solo a pranzo ma se si passa da queste parti all'ora giusta (e fino alle 3 passate lo è) non si può non fare una sosta!

Parecía que estaba bien el sitio, las recomendaciones eran buenas asique decidimos ir mi chico y yo ya que por sagres no hay gran cosa. Cuando llegamos ponía pescado del día 9 euros, unas narices. Lo eliges y según lo que pese vale una cosa u otra, 20 € 500g. Le decimos de pedir bacalao que era el pescado más económico y no les quedaba, lo más económico era congelado.Pescado congelado y empanado que me lo hago yo en mi casa. En fin, nada de esto de pesarlo y elegirlo lo ponía en la carta, sino no hubiésemos venido aquí. Luego tenían mucha gente y pocos camareros asique eran un poco tardones. Eso si, los mejillones por 9 euros eran abundantes y bastante ricos. Lo único que recomiendo.

Un disparate la frescura del pescado, ves en la vitrina te lo pesan y te dicen lo que vale cada pescado. 100% recomendable, volveremos sin duda si pasamos por sagres de nuevo.

Mangiato pesce fresco. Rapporto qualità/prezzo molto interessante. Purtroppo è chiuso alla sera. Si trova al primo piano nello stesso edificio in cui si svolge l'asta del pesce. All'interno del ristorante ci sono delle vetrate da cui si può osservare lo svolgimento dell'asta. Noi ci siamo stati verso le 16.

Restaurante pesquero, por excelencia en Sagres, justo encima del mercado de pescado, más fresco imposible! Muy recomendable las gambas ( camaraos ), el pedcado del día el lenguado, evitar mejillones y calamar, están mal lavados. Mejor comer en la terraza el interior algo asfixiante. Mejor llegar pronto porque se llena rápido!

This restaurant is right above the fish market so the seafood here is as fresh as it gets. Appearance is deceiving and this place is much better than it looks. Portions are big and grilled fish is so fresh. They have daily specials which are usually worth a try. Waiters speak good english so no chance of otdering the wrong fish. Make sure to arrive early as queues can get long.

Excelente restaurante ubicado justo al lado de la lonja y puerto de Sagres. El pescado es fresco y de muy buena calidad, se puede ver desde el interior del restaurante a través de una cristalera la lonja donde distribuyen el pescado.
La comida excelente y los camareros de 10, educados, atentos y simpáticos. Muy recomendable, repetiría

We had an amazing lunch here . The food was fresh from the sea and we ordered the grilled turbot , grilled prawns and the amazing dessert doce de casa. This is a family run business with great service and a fishing charm atmosphere especially with views to the fish market facility. Highly recommend !

Der frischeste Fisch weit und breit!
Auch das vegetarische Omlet ist sehr lecker.
Der selbstgebackene Kuchen eine Sünde..... echt lecker!
Super interessant ist die durch die Scheiben zu beobachtende Fisch-Auktion und die frischen Fänge aus dem Meer.
Schneller und zuvorkommende Service.
Alles in allem ein Erlebnis und Gaumenschmaus.

Je conseille ce restaurant si vous n'êtes pas trop pressés et que vous voulez mangez quelque chose de bon. En effet, pour être servi l'attente est plutôt longue, mais sa en vaut le coup. Je conseille le cheeseburger il est vraiment délicieux ! Les poissons sont également excellents et les portions dont généreuse !
Mais gros point négatif pour ma part: l'acceuil n'est pas vraiment vraiment chaleureux... c'est très dommage !
Mais s'est quand même 4 étoiles pour ma part.

Wow. I like seafood but didn't realise fresh fish could be this good.
Make sure to get everything fresh from the window as they will prep it spectacularly. We also got the fried squid and would not recommend, should have listened to them at got the fresh stuff.

Du frais, du vrai, du bon.
Placé judicieusement au dessus de la criée, le poisson ne peut être plus frais.
L’accueil est très chaleureux et en plusieurs langues et les tarifs très corrects.
J’ai goûté le poisson grillé un vrai régal.
Un endroit à ne pas louper !

Sehr einfach, sehr bürgerlich, einfach toll. Kein großes Tam tam über Einrichtung, Aussehen etc. Eine Fischer Snackbar für jedermann!
Essen ist ein Gaumenschmaus! Wir hatten Dorade und die war richtig gut gegrillt. Mit Getränk, Pommes und Salat waren eir bei knapp 35€. Sehr gutes Verhältnis zu der gebotenen Qualität. Immer wieder gerne.

Ich würde behaupten dies ist ein absoluter Geheimtipp, wir sind ganz zufällig dorthin und wollten einen Snack essen. Wir hatten einen gemischten Salat und ein Omelett, beides war sehr gut. Der Service absolut super. Aber das Highlight ist dort der fisch. Dieser ist absolut frisch, man kann ihn sich vorher nochmals angucken und z.b. draußen grillen lassen. Wirklich Klasse wir werden sicherlich nochmals hinfahren um dort auch Fisch zu essen.
Absolut empfehlenswert.

Fomos ao restaurante atraido pelas boas avaliações que possui, mas me decepcionei. Os aneis de lulas estavam bons, mas o bacalhau à brás foi um a decepçao, melhor seria chama-lo de Omelete à Braz, pois de bacalhau só senti o cheiro. Não indicaria.

Suite à un premier déjeuner hier qui était super nous avons commander une cataplana de langouste pour le déjeuner du lendemain... et ben vous savez quoi?? C’était délicieux!!

Excellent, un lieu loin du tourisme de masse dans le petit port de Sagres, avec du poisson frais parfaitement cuit et des desserts fait maison !
Le patron, Roger, (très sympa au passage) est belge donc pas de souci avec le français!

Helt klart värt ett besök. Perfekt för lunch före besök på fortet. Vi beställde Calamares, grillade räkor och fiskburgare där allt överträffade våra förväntningar. Beställde även in en Hamburgare, prova fiskburgaren istället.

No encontrareis un gran restaurante es más bien un bar de pescadores y ahí está el encanto, el pescado sube de la lonja directamente a los fogones, más fresco imposible.El trato de los camareros estupendo, nos buscaron una mesa dentro porque hacía frío en la terraza y eso que ya habíamos empezado a comer.

If you are looking for fresh seafood in the Western Algarve then this is the real deal. It has real rustic charm being right above the actual fish market. The fresh sole and bass we had was perfection, cooked on the big outdoor bbq. Three delightful brothers run this place and the service was top notch.

Pecheurs viennent ici ! Il est ouvert du midi a 17h! Il faut donc arriver a 16h30 max!!! Beignet calamar au top ! Sole et daurade parfaitement cuites! Super dessert local (gateau figue amandes) ! En terrasse au soleil pour 15/20€ tout compris (biere) !! Le bonheur! Fermé le week end !!

Oh my! Looove the superbe seafood and the amazing staff. Quality can't be overrated, setting right at the port is lovely and service is friendly. Don't except a superfancy restaurant, but a well-maintained family-friendly hall with a clear focus on hospitality and THE BEST SEAFOOD at amazing rates.

Meine Feau und ich hatten Muscheln und gegrillten Fisch. Mussten 20 min. warten da das Boot mit den Fischen noch nicht eingelaufen war und nicht sicher war wie der Fang ausfiel.

Local fresh fish, good food and good value. The restaurant is situated on top of the fish market and has large windows inside so that you can look down and see the fish being sold. A really unique place. In the picturesque fishing harbour.
