Das Essen ist okay bis durchschnittlich, dafür aber zu teuer, bzw. die Portionen zu klein. Vor allem bei den Weinen kann man ansonsten in Portugal für weniger Geld ebenso gute, wenn nicht bessere Weine bekommen. Sprich: die Weinkarte ist für portugiesische Verhältnisse teuer.
Das Ambiente hingegen hat uns gut gefallen, auch wenn der laufende Fernseher mit Dauer-Sportschau-Programm nicht so ins Ambiente passen will.

Proberen zich voor te doen als klasserestaurant: etiquette van het personeel, veel te kleine porties voor te hoge prijzen en een peperdure wijnkaart, alleen dat de gerechten dat niveau niet halen, waardoor die hoogdravende houding totaal misplaatst is. Hoe dan ook een mooie locatie en de kinderen hebben wel genoten van hun pizza.

Restaurante italiano muito bem decorado e com ótimo aspeto. Menu bem estruturado, produtos de qualidade e bem confecionados. A carta de vinhos é curta mas conveniente (só um reparo o vinho a copo deve.se apresentar a garrafa ao cliente) e as sobremesas são muito agradáveis. Os funcionários são afáveis e bons profissionais. O preço cobrado é carote e o estacionamento é inexistente. Mas se é adepto da cozinha italiana faça uma visita.

The restaurant was really not up to our expectations. We felt discriminated by the staff just because we seemed to them as young students not able to afford their stuff. I can't even describe it as food, it was not at all tasty. We couldn't empty our plates. Never again !!!!

RIDICULOUS. Don't waste your time and money ....
One of the waitresses, apparently the boss, behaved completely differently with us than with other clients. We felt pulled under, she looked down on us and had a very unpleasant attitude. If it was because of our young age, it doesn't make any sense to me... We do not go to places we can't afford and we expect to be treated like any other (older) client ;) ;) ;)

We came to Belmondo full of good expectations and were told to wait as we didn't book, which was fair. Other clients arrived and started waiting. They were offered drinks while we weren't.
Once sat at the table, we only got the menu after another client made a remark to a staff member saying that our table seemed to be forgotten (40 minutes after we sat down). The food came after a reasonable amount of time but wasn't good, didn't taste like homemade and was according to us, overpriced. We did not finish our plates and none asked us if anything was wrong....!
While eating, our glasses became quickly empty and it didn't seem to interest anyone. We had to ask for a bottle of water. Not to mention we did not even get to see the wine menu...
We felt the need to share our feelings with a waiter which felt sorry for us but we didn't get any compensation of any kind.

The food was mostly delicious, except the pizza that looked like it was prepared by Dr Oetker himself (he might well be the man in the charge in the kitchen :) ).
The service though was abominable. Ordering took ages, as did the preparation of the food. One waiter just put the drinks at random on the table, expecting us to distribute it among ourselves.
The straw that broke the camel's back was our waiting to order our desserts. As the waiter never came by, we just decided to ask for the bill, pay it and leave.
Although most of the food was excellent, some of it was somewhat overpriced and we were very disappointed with the service.

Grossly overpriced! Overrated food, ok but nothing special. Not original italian food. Waiters were ok but not putting the wine on the table, playing at silver service then waiting for a drink. Location is like a pool bar so should be priced as such. We wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Worst service ever experienced, the waiter left in the middle of our order and came back after 5 minutes without apologysing, we weren't offered the wine menue, we waited for over an hour to get our food, my girlfriend got the wrong topping on her pizza initially, when we complained she got the same one with just a whole lot of seafood arranged carelessly on her pizza, then we waited another 15 minutes for the bill, the food was okay but overprized, wouldn't go there again!

Cuidado con la bebida. Be careful with drinks! El restaurante tiene un ambiente acogedor y trato amable. Las pizzas estaban bien pero no excelentes. Pedimos 2 copas de vino rosado. Las copas las trajeron servidas desde dentro cuando lo normal es que te sirvan en la mesa. Nos pareció un gesto un poco feo. La sorpresa llegó con la factura de las 2 bebidas era de 11,60€. Nos pareció un poco excesivo para el vino de la casa. Cuando pedimos que nos mostrara el menú de bebidas para ver el precio comprobamos que el camarero se puso nervioso. El precio no viene reflejado en ningun sitio. Finalmente nos dejo la factura en 30€. Nos dio varias explicaciones que sonaban a excusas baratas. El dinero es lo de menos pero te vas a casa pensando a cuánta gente más al día les engañan con este método tan rastrero.

Voilà un super restaurant que nous avons découvert lors de notre semaine à Algarve au Portugal. Notre hôtel se trouvait juste au dessus et nous avons voulu découvrir Le Belmondo, le cadre nous plaisais bien et nous n'avons pas été déçu. Si un jour vous êtes dans le coin, n'hésitez pas, ça vaut le détour.

Très bon accueil, comme d'habitude plats délicieux, carpaccio de viande, escalope saltimbocca et risotto safrané aux noix de St Jacques, une petite merveille. C'est notre resto italien préféré... Le seul bémol, on a appris seulement au moment de payer que la machine à CB ne fonctionnait pas. Heureusement que j'avais du liquide...

Nous avons mangé dans ce restaurant deux fois au cours de notre séjour. Les serveurs sont très professionnels et le patron très gentil, amical.
La cuisine est très bonne, aussi bien le saumon que les pizzas. Décoration très sympa avec une belle piscine et une cheminée avec canapés.

Appalling service and food. Weren't made to feel welcome. Sat and waited for almost 20 mins without being offered a drink or look at menu! Burnt tasteless margarita pizza for my son and my little girl had plain penne with an offering of parmesan on top as her cheese pasta! Seafood chilli pasta no chilli in and mushroom ravioli and concealed sauce! All this and overpriced wine came to in excess of €80! Shocking and wouldn't recommend unless you are obviously a regular and have booked!

Wow absolutely amazing restaurant with great service! So far we ate there twice and I am sure we will go back in a few days. Fresh and homemade food and pasta, superb pizza, fantastic desserts ( I recommend the pannacotta with berries). Moreover the fantastic view over the ocean and sn da rocha chapel.

I first visited Belmondo in 2009 and loved it. We are back in Porches again and revisited the restaurant. We were not disappointed, the staff are excellent the food superb and the ambiance pleasing. We are here for four weeks and will visit the Belmondo frequently. This is not the cheapest restaurant in Porches but the quality more than justifies the slightly higher price.

Das Restaurant Belmondo liegt nur wenige Gehminuten von Senhora da Rocha entfernt. Es ist sehr ruhig gelegen. Das Ambiente des Restaurants ist im oberen Bereich anzusiedeln. Der Kellner war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Unaufgefordert und freundlich brachte er ein Tomaten Carpaccio und genau so freundlich hat er es wieder mitgenommen da ich kein Verlangen danach hatte. Die Speisen im Restaurant waren sehr gut es gibt nichts worüber ich mich beklagen kann. Die Preise dort sind angemessen. Ich kann dieses Restaurant uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Absolutely gorgeous setting, very romantic. Food is OK, but overpriced. I wasn't happy with the wine selection, which was grossly overpriced. Wine by the glass would be a good option - forcing you to fork out 40+ euros for a very average wine is a bit off-putting....

I put 2 stars for the cadre/atmosphere and personnel. Do not expect eating Italian pizza there. It tastes more like a frozen supermarket pizza. The daw is really not appetizing.
Note: Quattro stagioni is with anchovy (was not aware)
the profitroles were really a joke, no vanilla ice cream, and the chocolate is this fake sauce you can get in a fast food.
The mashed potatoes was also not home made but from bags.
Do not expect much from the food quality, nevertheless the atmosphere is quite cozy and enjoyable for a drink

Ein Italiener an der Algarve? Muss das sein? Nein, muss nicht, aber kann, wenn er gut ist! Und er ist gut! Essen wie in Neapel, Pellegrino, Pizza, Pasta, Antipasti, alles wie in Italien. Ausgesprochen nettes Personal (hallo Martha, wir grüßen Dich!). Kostenlos der Blick auf das Kirchlein Sehora Da Rocha oder der Sprung in den hauseigenen Pool.
Im Mai und zum Lunch eher schwach besucht, also sehr angenehm. Man sitzt im Schatten und genießt den Wind und den Meerblick, Urlaub eben!

PIZZAS CONGELADAS A PRECIO DE ORO.
Lo único que se salvó de comer en este restaurante fue el buen trato.
El resto nos decepcionó muchísimo.
Pedimos una botella de Moscato que no figuraba en carta de vinos y nos cobraron 25 euros por un Moscato muy normalito.
Un plato de verdura asada que estaba bueno pero era muy muy escueto. Escueto incluso para una persona.
Y finalmente, pedimos una pizza y al llegarnos a la mesa, nos sorprendió porque no era artesanal. La masa era gorda e insípida, la pizza pequeña y muy pobre en contenido. Vamos, sin lugar a dudas, una pizza congelada de las que podemos comprar en cualquier supermercado.

Es un restaurante elegante con buen servicio y vistas increibles. La comida es muy buena pero quizas es un poco impersonal. Bajo mi punto de vista, en las proximidades hay otro restaurante italiano que, sin vistas ni tanto lujo, tiene mejores precios y un trato mucho mas familiar y acogedor.

Staff were very aloof and cold - food was nice .... Fillet steak amazing and reasonable price although we were overcharged by €70 until we queried the bill. Lovely setting and very clean.

Really nice atmosphere here sat outside with a nice garden, lit swimming pool and a live singer. The service was excellent and the food was incredible.

Ojemine, das ist ein totaler Reinfall. Pizza auf Pizzahut-Niveau, Steak zäh, Sossen aus der Tüte... Hier muss wohl grundsätzlich an der Wurzel angefasst werden! STAY OUT!

We stopped by in Feb half term 2015.Not a lot was open. We were so happy to stumble upon this restaurant. It was 3.30 on a Saturday, we were given an amazing welcome by the staff and all the options on the menu were available. I had chicken in a martini sauce which was so good and my partner had spinach and ricotta tortellini. I would give the food 8/10 but 10/10 for the hospitality and friendliness during their winter months. Also the bruschetta I nearly forgot to say was the best! I don't know what olive oil they use but it's the best I have had outside of Rome. 5* from me.
Cannot believe a reviewer said staff not friendly! They were so professional and spoke really good English. Shame on that reviewer.

The bruschetta was perfect, the pizza just not good enough, panacotta very good, tiramisu not good enough. Bit mixed feelings about this restaurant.
