Hotel Baia Grande , mit ca. 200 Betten, sehr sauber, Mitarbeiter freundlich, nicht überlaufen Anfang Juni, vornehmlich ab 50- jährige, Essen abwechslungsreich im Speisesaal für ca. 100 Personen, Getränke zur Halbpension abends ab 3.50 €, mit sauberen Pool, genügend Schattenplätze, freier täglicher Shuttle-Service nach Albufeira, schöner einsamer Sand- Strand (mit Felshängen an der Rückseite) in 10min zu Fuß. Los empleados de la mesa de entrada muy bien al igual que la cajera del Buffet. Pero el mozo del buffet era un desastre. Malos modales, no intentaba comunicarse en ningún idioma, usaba señas y mala cara. Servía la comida con desprecio.

L'acceuil est très bien, plusieurs langues parlées.
La vue sur la mer est jolie mais sans plus.
Les chambres sont propres et il y a une piscine couverte mais un peu petite. Pensez à prendre un bonnet de bain pour le sauna et hammam.
La piscine extérieure est très grande, mais non chauffée.
Attention la qualité du wifi est très médiocre.
Par contre la plage est à 10 min à pied et c'est un superbe endroit !

Ein auf den ersten Eindruck tolles Hotel. Phantastische Pool Anlage. Wunderbares Abendbuffet. Allerdings ist das Meer nur durch längeren Fußmarsch erreichbar. Kleine Badebuchten, idyllisch aber sehr schwer zugänglich.

Tiene su encanto, pero en general está genial en todos los aspectos. La piscina interior necesita una renovación integral.
Y los mojitos son de los mejores que he tomado.
Recomendable para familias y gente mayor.

Excellent rapport qualité prix, la restauration du soir et le petit-déjeuner sont très corrects, le personnel est à l'écoute, en revanche les cocktails pris au bar n'étaient vraiment pas terribles.

Dit hotel staat op een prachtig mooie plek. Veel groen en een top visrestaurant op loopafstand. Vraag de locals de weg om je op verborgen parels te wijzen. Zoals een restaurant koffiebar of bakkerij.

Maison de retraite je viens de passer 1semaine etant vendu par travel evasion comme le Top d HOtel..... Hotel vieux . Il y a des fuites au plafond. Poubelle de chambre rouillee. Piscine interieure nule et degradee. Arrivee le jeudi 4/4/2019. Le vendredi matin aux niveau de la piscine interieure degradee un parterre de CAFARDS. L horreur. Prevenue les hotesses pour eux rien de genants. On demande pour faire un soin .la masseuse est en vacances et pas remplacee....vacances plus jamais a fuire cette agence travel evasion qui vs vende de la M.

Adoramos, fomos sem expectativas, mas encontramos um ambiente de simpatia, um quarto amplo para casal e duas crianças. O pequeno almoço para todos os gostos. Um piscina interior de água aquecida privativa, sauna e por fim piscinas exteriores e espaço para relaxar. Obrigada.

Very pleasant hotel and great value. Staff are superb, friendly and helpful. Food is good. Rooms are clean and tidy with acceptable bathroom. The location is a bit remote in winter months as not many of the local shops and restaurants are open. Would definitely recommend having a car. Good walking in the local area. Definitely recommended.

Chambres agreables, spacieuses, bien équipées et très propres.
La restauration reste correcte dans l ensemble. Un rafraîchissement côté déco de la salle de restauration serait à envisager.
Le personnel devrait s enrichir de documentation pour visiter les alentours.
Voiture nécessaire si l on veut se déplacer

Un peu vieillissantMalgré la faible influence, ils nous ont mis dans la chambre juste au dessus du hall d’entrée ce qui est horrible quand des gens sont très peu discrets au bar le soir.Le lit de ma fille en supplément arrêtait pas de grincer très agréable bien agréable dans la nuit une fois qu’on avait réussi à trouver le sommeil.Mais sinon le petit dej très bien, le buffet du soir n’a pas été testé mais le repas au bar et les barmaid très bien !La piscine couverte était bien chauffée mais fallait avoir qu’un bonnet de bain était obligatoire !C’est propre mais trop bruyant (j’ai jamais été aussi dérangé).Le bruit m’a surtout déranger vu la faible influence : ils pourraient mettre leur clients dans les meilleurs conditions

Very relaxing hotel with superb friendly staff. Comfortable rooms with the left hand side ones with sea view best as get sun most of the day Good breakfast and reasonable choice for evening buffet. Great value for money in winter months. Been a number of times and will be returning.

Wir waren 3 Nächte im Winter. Sehr schön ruhig gelegen, in 10 Minuten bist du an einem wunderschönen kleinen Strand. Der Spabereich ist klein und könnte kleine Renovierung gebrauchen. Das Hotel in allgemeinen sehr sauber mit freundlichen Personal. An der Bar war die Karte super, das Buffet am Abend nicht so unseres...aber wir sind Gastronomen von daher sehr schwierige Gäste.
Ich kann empfehlen, würde sicher nochmals buchen aber ohne Halbpension.

Spent a week here with my friend in July. We wanted somewhere a bit more secluded in Algarve and this hotel is the perfect place. The breakfast buffet has a huge variety of choices, we spent most days by the pool, and we even enjoyed drinks and room service on our last night there. You can book a shuttle bus from the hotel reception that will take you to a beach, and we ordered Uber's if we did want to go to the old town and enjoy the nightlife as it's not too far. The hotel staff were amazing to us, and even came up to our room to help weigh our suitcase before we left to the airport. Missing Baia Grande Hotel!

Modern hotel with all the features you will need. The staff are very helpful (thank you Joseph, Victor and Maria). Clean rooms with comfortable beds, would come here again but I would hire a car or other transport as it's a bit isolated - it does run a free shuttle into Albufeira and Gale three times during the day. It's quite a walk back from Albufeira especially up the long steep hill just past the Marina or a dodgy walk along the main road (not alwayss a pavement!) then up a slightly less steep hill then across the crossroads and back to the hotel. Walk to/from Gale is reasonable some minor slopes but there is a pavement. Found Gale very dead during Nov/Dec as most hotels and villas and even one of the two supermarkets was closed. Nothing was open on the main road between hotel and Gale - just signs , in English, stating closed for holidays until April!

Have stayed at this hotel a few times over the years and have always Enjoyed my stay! The staff are absolutely awesome and are really friendly and helpful, the food here is by far one of the best I've had abroad, there's a huge selection and is always high quality!. The rooms are comfortable and have everything you need, only thing that lets the hotel down is the facilities apart from the pool and the sauna rooms there isn't much else here to do otherwise would have got a 5 star.

Un peu (beaucoup) décue par l'absence de services proposés dans cet hôtel (jacuzzi ne fonctionnant pas, massages annulés, personnel non remplacé) et la propreté qui n'est pas au rendez-vous....
Le ménage en chambre est baclé. Manque d'amabilité de certaines personnes, surtout quand on s'intègre comme j’essaie de le faire. Dans 1 supposé 4 étoiles (même aux normes locales), c'est inadmissible!!
J'ai aimé la restauration, le piano bar, et le cadre sympa de l'hôtel.
Trop loin du centre ville et autres centres d'intérêt, parfait pour le balnéaire l'été. Mais ce n'est pas un 4 étoiles...la direction fait-elle des économies hors saison?? Dans ce cas, faites nous payer moins cher...

Lovely hotel very nicely decorated and great pool area. Spacious room with good sized balcony. Breakfast was ok some days better than others didn't have evening meal other than at their barbeque evening by the pool which was fab! Lovely food and great entertainment! Ate at poolside bar and food good. Hotel bit out of the way however hotel provide courtesy bus several times a day into albuferia old town which was big bonus. Staff were friendly. Hotel in nice location to have walk to coella beach which is beautiful. Couple of good restaurants in walking distance 10 mins away. Overall great hotel would go back.

beautiful hotel. spotless staff work so hard. especially the cleaner that did our room (316) reason for 3 stars is 1. location bit out the way. but once u know where others places are it's ok.
2. water. only one shop 9am to 1pm needs to sell water. basically sells nothing or hotel should have water dispenser or vending machine. yes u get complimenty water on arrival but when it takes 3 hrs to get into it room u have no choice to buy water from pool bar. €3.40 for 2 small btls
3. mosquito didn't know there was some. got bite quite a bit.
4. not happy that German guests told my 8yr old grandson to be quiet when playing in pool. I soon put a stop to it.
5. hotel more for older people. if u want tranquillity baia grande is the place.
now for good points
1. lovely pool plenty sunloungers.
2. staff fab
3. breakfast plenty choice from full cooked english to continental. plenty tea. coffee. hot choc. Orange juice. Apple etc.always replenish nice and hot...
4. complimenty bus to old town. and beach.
5. only 10min taxi into town for €7
6.nice indoor pool
7. if u get chance visit Scooby bar 10mins from hotel. also some nice places to eat about 10- 15mins walk. (nothing just outside hotel)
will I go back. I sure would had a fab 10 days and weather was amazing for Sept x

First time we stayed here room was great we had the perfect room with perfect views. Staff were very friendly especially all the bar staff. The evening entertainment is set for the older generation . However you are close enough to the bustle if that is what you wanted it's just a stone throw away . A few good restaurant on the door step. A great relaxing atmosphere.

Accueil, Chambre et SB ok
Restauration le soir varié de qualité et en quantité. Personnel efficace .
Salle redécoré chaque matin. Le jeudi soirée grillade autour de la piscine.
En présence de grand groupe la salle devient très bruyante.
Piano bar avec animation tous les soir

Le ménage de la chambre était fait vers 16 h 17 h. Les serviettes ne slnt pas changées souvent. Le meble ds la chambre etait cassé en bas et le sommier etait tout déchiré. Les boissons ne sont pas comprises. Ça ajoute sur le prix de l hôtel. Les buffets sont toujours les mêmes et décevants. Pas beaucoup de recherche ds les plats.Points positifs la piscine, le barbecue du jeudi soir et le personnel à la réception aimable et serviable.

Staying Bed and Breakfast, breakfast in my opinion is very poor compared to other 4 star hotels. Towels are only changed twice a week which again not what I expect from a 4 star hotel and our room was never cleaned before 4pm. Pool area is lovely, reception staff friendly, bar pool very expensive as with most hotel pool bars. A very quiet and peaceful hotel, if you like daytime activities and night entertainment this hotel is not for you, more suited for the more mature. A visit to Sao Raphael beach and Gale recommended. We used hotel courtesy bus for going to and from Albufeira although a taxi from Albufeira to hotel only cost 6.35 euros

We have been coming to Baia Grande for many years. That must surely speak for itself. The location is perfect for us as it is in such a peaceful area. It is close to lovely beaches and restaurants although we have had to explore to find them. I would recommend it to anyone..

Cet hôtel mérite ses 4 étoiles , situé dans les faubourgs d' Albufeira , au calme .Les chambres sont confortables, avec une belle salle de bain .
De préférence prenez une chambre donnant sur la piscine et la mer , car le soir vous pourrez vous détendre sur le balcon , la piscine est illuminée et si vous avez la chance d'étre proche du salon bar
Y entendre le pianiste ou un guitariste le jour du repas méxicain. Tout les jeudis en saison ,soirée barbecue autour de la piscine, avec musiciens au kiosque et en fin de repas danses locales.
Pour se baigner en mer ,il vous faudra parcourir
10 bonnes minutes pour aller dans une petite plage pas toujours calme . Mais on ne viens pas en Algarve Portugal pour la plage, méme si quelques unes sont très belles comme celle d'Albufeira, des navettes de l'hôtel vous
conduirons à la marina pour prendre le bateau .
A faire absolument pour visiter les grottes ,ou encore vous conduira en centre ville.
Les repas sont excellents, variés , et le personnel trés à l'écoute pour vous rendre service.
Je conseille cet hôtel.

Zum nächsten Strand sind es etwa 10 bis 15 Minuten zu Fuss, zu den Restaurants 5 bis 30 Minuten zu Fuss. Für Leute, die halbwegs beweglich sind, sollte das kein Problem darstellen. Es gibt einen kostenlosen Shuttlebus bis 8 Personen mehrmals täglich in die Stadt Albufeira und an den Galestrand. Matrazen sind sehr gut, das Zimmer auch, lediglich der Boden wurde nicht so häufig gefegt, dadurch lag oft Sand von uns dort. Kühlschrank und LCD-TV vorhanden, empfangen wurde ARD, ZDF und SAT1 von den deutschen Sendern. Am Pool gibt es Tischkicker und Tischtennisplatte sowie ein Schachspiel.

Mooi zwembad , schone ruime kamers . Vriendelijk personeel. Prijzen van drankjes wat aan de dure kant . Dinner pas vanaf 19.00 uur. Geen entertainment zowel overdag als `s avonds.Voornamelijk ouderen , weinig jongeren. Je bent bijna verplicht om een auto te huren want het centrum is op 4 km afstand . Lopend is dit niet te doen. Overdag beetje saaie boel bij het zwembad .

Lhotel est situé a 10 min en voiture de Albufeira, dans la localité de Sesmarias, dans une lotissement de villa luxieuses, et à proximité de falaises et plages surveillées.Il est donc conseillé de louer un véhicule pendant le séjour, car il ny a aucun magasin accessible à pieds, à part quelques restaurant.

Hotel magnifique, belles prestations, piscine immense avec îlot central bar tres agréable. Personnel tres sympa, petit déjeuner tres copieux internationnal. A noter ce petit bémol: la chambre avec balcon vue jardin na en fait quun garde corps. On ne peut profiter a proprement parler du balcon. Sinon tout etait parfait

A proximité de plages splendides et pas trop remplie, 10 min de marche le long des falaises.
Pour rejoindre Albufeira, une voiture est nécessaire.

Pouca variedade no pequeno almoço. Terceira cama ( de criança ) de muito má qualidade, impossível dormir na mesma. Wi-Fi não funciona em condições. Rede NOS de telemóvel fraquíssima, ligar para alguém só na varanda do quarto. Excelente Jantar. STAFF muito simpático. Praia da Coelha a 10 minutos a pé.

Great hotel and easy to get to city centre by a taxi. Only downside was that there are no local shops nearby that are of walking distance. Beach fairly close by at walking distance. Excellent service provided within the hotel. Spa facilities were excellent and free for all hotel guests. Lovely staff members always ready to help. Breakfast was a buffet which was great (thought it catered well for all tourists). Definitely will recommend for a family/friends getaway.

Hotel bellissimo, pulito e con personale gentile. Buona colazione continentale, e piscina esterna da vero resort a 4 stelle. Unica pecca la lontananza dal centro di albufeira, ma le navette giornaliere gratuite messe a disposizione dall'hotel e le stupende spiagge vicine, compensano!! Consigliatissimo.

Hôtel minable, les chambres sont spacieuses mais aucune deco, l’eau de la baignoire ne s’évacuait pas lorsque nous prenions des douches, les produits de bain dans des misérables sachets d’un autre temps, au petit déjeuner tout était sans goût, pas de choix, on vous fait croire que vous êtes dans un palace en vous plaçant à table, seul la piscine est magnifique mais il faut se lever tôt si vous voulez mettre vos serviettes car comme bien sûr cela n’est pas survenu certains idiots de touristes ne peuvent s’empecher De le faire. Cet hôtel ne mériterait pas mieux que 3 étoiles.

Las instalaciones no están mal en general. El buffet del desayuno es bastante limitado en cuanto a variedad.
Como nota negativa, comentar que el día antes de la salida (tras ocho noches) me encontré un par de cucarachas ,una en el baño y otra entre las sábanas de la cama.
El arreglo de la habitación mediocre.

Good location within short drive to the city and walking distance to a beautiful beach. The hotel is little dated by Portuguese standards. Some staff is not very welcoming and pleasant. Great pool are with a lot of lounging. However, the bar at the pool is pricy. Breakfast at the hotel is decent by European standards. Overall decent hotel but for the price there are better options.

Clean, friendly good value hotel. Recently refurbished many rooms, pool and other areas. B and B only so didn't try the dinner. Breakfast has a good choice but get there early in busy periods to avoid the queue. Only downside is location. 15min walk to beach, bus or hotel shuttle to Albufeira but a couple of restaurants in walking distance (including one favoured by Cliff Richard). Spotless medium sized pool with bar, small inside pool available but rarely used.

This hotel is a well run property catering for mainly older guests in the Winter period and a younger element In Spring and Summer the interior areas are pleasant and the leisure facilities are good. The restaurant is mainly buffet style with a slighty intimidating table policy particularly for new arrivals. We visit this hotel usually twice yearly but mainly in the Winter season.

Très difficile de dire que c'est un 4 étoiles ! de fausse notes viennes perturbé malheureusement cette établissement qui au premier abord donne bonne figures.
La chambre et propres mes hyper mal insonorisé, les chausson fournie habituellement avec robes de chambres faut oublier ça n'existe pas chez eux.
Par contre la nourriture est de bonne qualité et très bien préparé et cuisiné.
Les l'infrastructure sont récente ou bien entretenu a première vu.
Le perssonelles fait au mieux pour recevoir leur clients avec pour certains en trilingue.
Beaucoup de perssones âgé pendant notre séjour et sa fait limite maison de retraite.
Il on une très belle vue panoramique vu de leur terrasses (voir photos)

It is a beautiful hotel. Very clean.

Très bon souvenir de cet hôtel. Il faut prendre impérativement une location de voiture pour y aller car il est excentré. Il permet cependant de bien rayonner. Les chambres sont confortables et propres. Le personnel était très correct. Les repas étaient variés.

Die Hotelanlage ist sehr schön , sauber und Anfang Dezember sehr ruhig . Das Personal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Zimmer und das Bad sind sehr großzügig, das Frühstück bietet alles an was man so morgens braucht . Ich würde das Hotel weiter empfehlen.

Das Hotel liegt etwas außerhalb in Sesmarias, es gibt einen kostenlosen Shuttle Bus zur Altstadt von Albufeira (könnte etwas öfter fahren). Zimmer: großzügig, hell und freundlich. Das Bad ist äußerst komfortabel. Schöne Hotel-Lobby und Bar, freundlicher, lichtdurchfluteter Leseraum mit Terrasse und Blick über die Poollandschaft bis aufs Meer. Have been many times and have never been disappointed. When we arrived this time we were told the inside pool was unavailable due to renovations being done but we were able to use another hotels facilities and Baia Grande provided transport to and from there. Staff are always polite, friendly and nothing is to much trouble for them. Bar area is bright and has a fantastic view of the outside pool area which is lovely. Can’t wait to return.

Very disappointed on arrival at room,people smoking on the steps next to our balcony,just feet away.Went to desk asked to change room,higher floor if possible,offered top room for further 140 euros.Declined.Eventually got moved to another ground floooom.Found the front desk not very friendly.The staff in the dining room were friendly especially Maria.

Overall my partner and I had a pleasant stay at Hotel Bahia. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were as advertised which was good.The cons - The breakfast choices were not vast and could do with having more options. The pool area also could have done with a bit of modification. Given that we stayed in winter season, the use of the indoor pool would have been beneficial and made our stay more comfortable.

I don't know how this a 4 star hotel, far from it maybe in the 90s as well as the menu it seems stuck in time , buffet evening meal was over priced at 25 euros and very bland and nothing Portuguese about it, had better meal at soa Rafeal which IS round corner for the same price with drink best food ive had in long time , disappointed with cleanliness of my room , Bathroom wasn't clean for the entire time i was there. One last thing i checked out at midday but wasnt being pick up until 5pm so went out and enjoy the last of the sun before home and lest baggage behind , on my return i ask if i could freshen up ie shower as i hot from being in the sun and the beach , the management refused me a place or a room to use even though the hotel was far from fully booked , they said i could use the toilet, which i had choice but use it to get change in so i had to travel back sweaty and smelly , ive never had this treatment before for all years i have travelled , would i say money well spent got to say a big no .

Os quartos são muito agradáveis e a piscina é muito boa. Merecem umas sólidas 4 estrelas. Já o resto não é bem assim. A comida decepcionou um bocado (pelo menos o que eu comi). Ao pequeno almoço faltava alguma variedade, era demasiado "inglês". Os funcionários eram simpáticos tirando um ou outro, que não sei o nome, que não eram assim tão simpáticos. E depois havia a parte "complicada" que era: ter que andar com a identificação do quarto para todo lado — não fosse algum desgraçado se lembrar de entrar no hotel e começar a comer à fartazana sem pagar nada; e o mais chato, para mim, que era ter que abrir uma conta na recepção para consumo no hotel. Ou isso ou pagar na hora, nada de "debitar" no quarto que seria muito mais prático.
Juntando isto tudo, a minha verdadeira pontuação seria 3,5 estrelas.

This hotel is in the middle of nowhere so you will need a car to travel around. Was given the wrong room upon arrival, I was surprised to see a jungle as my balcony view instead of the sea view that I paid for. I was told to wait until the next day for a room and was also told that this should be ok as I can’t see the view at night time anyway. I was surprised they were taking their mistake so lightly. In the meantime I could not unpack anything as I would have to pack the next day again. The new room had a dodgy lock which kept making unlocking noise so it seemed like someone was trying to get in. Not a pleasant noise when you are trying to sleep! The bathtub was blocked. The evening/night staff were unfriendly and approachable so I waited for daytime staff who were more approachable. I was pleased to leave the hotel at the end of my stay and will not be staying there again.

Es lo que se espera de un hotel en cuanto a las instalaciones y la localización del mismo es buena aunque se recomienda tener coche para llegar. En cuanto a los servicios ofrecidos, son muy normalitos. El wifi no va en las habitaciones pero si en las zonas comunes. La caja fuerte es de pago y la tercera cama de una habitación triple para tres adultos no es digna de un hotel de cuatro estrellas. El buffet del desayuno es justito de calidad de la comida. Las piscina exterior es muy agradable y las tumbonas muy cómodas. El Parking es gratuito.

Balcon et clim dans les chambres . Literie de bonne qualité. Repas sous forme de buffet varie et bon. Hotel loin de la ville mais navettes gratuites pour ville et plage. Grande piscine non chauffée . Club pas adapté pour les ados. Car pas d'animation en journée et pas wifi....Table de ping pong complètement voilée avec raquettes sans revêtement...le jaccuzy est en panne depuis des mois... Hotel was nice however my bed sheet was not changed the whole 6 days I was there!! One day are pillows was on the floor when we came back in the room! It was like they forgot to finish it very strange.. I also fell down the stairs by the pool area as the man was cleaning the floor hurt my arm and back the man just looked at me didn’t help me up smashed my phone.. had a massage and facial Was amazing the lady at the spa was so lovely and polite. There was a lovely receptionist Called Andra he was so so nice to us also and the man at the bar area by the pool making drinks he was polite....

This place is ridiculous for the price. The convenience of it’s location does not make up for everything wrong. Our room wasn’t very clean, sink not fully functional, 2 cockroaches walking around when we woke up in the morning. The pool and outdoor bar/restaurant closes at 7pm. 7? What the heck is that. On top of that the food is expensive and the wait staff is BEYOND rude. I wanted to grab some fries to bring back to my room. I was told I need to sit down to order food, so I sit down and they bring me fries 20 minutes later on a plate. Then asked for them to go and they threw them in tin foil, scrunched it up and tooo me another 30 minutes before I could pay. Also it’s not a heated pool and was freezing. The indoor heated pool room smells awful. Walked in and walked right out. There is no convenience store in the hotel so If you drink the 2 complementary waters, youre stuck with sink water at night because nothing is open. The one good thing I’ll give them is that the breakfast buffet is good. But overall the staff is really uptight, I didn’t not feel comfortable moving about the hotel. Felt like I had to be cautious with everything I did. Spent almost 1000€ for 2 nights. I could’ve gotten way more elsewhere and been more comfortable. It’s awful to know that money went to this place.

Overall a pleasant stay but not entirely sure the hotel is worthy of 4 star status. Whilst the rooms are clean and tidy, they are quite basic, not exactly luxurious.
Also some basic amenities I would expect in a hotel like this are missing, for example tea/coffee making facilities in the room. It is available but has to be bought so not included in price.
Additionally, whilst the barbecue is fantastic, is it really worth the asking price of 22.5 euros per head, not entirely sure..
Now onto the good things, rooms are clean and tidy, staff are polite and always attentive. Breakfast is included and there is a decent selection.

Einziger negativer Punkt der uns gestört hat war das dass Hotel eine sehr schlechte Internetverbindung hatte in den Zimmern, an der Rezeption lief das wlan einwandfrei. Das Hotel ist wirklich zum empfehlen und die Restaurants welche sich in der Nähe befinden waren auch super :)

The room was beautiful and mostly met our needs. There were a couple frustrating things that we didn’t encounter in other hotels while traveling - the fridge was locked and there was a fee for using the safe. The breakfast buffet had wide variety of choices and the pool area was wonderful. There are public beaches nearby but my friend and I enjoyed more wandering along the coast and finding the less populated hidden beaches.

Our stay at the girl was pleasant. Overall it has the feeling that it needs a bit of refresh. I'm sure it was great when it first opened but now it feels more like a 3 star than a 4 star. It's family friendly and prices for food and drink are reasonable. Beach is about a 15 min walk away.
The outside pool is quite cold and not that many people used it, a heated pool would certainly enhance things and warrant the 4 star rating.

Have stayed here three times before, until now always been happy. Expected a change as going out of season but was disappointed for various reasons. Firstly being charged for drinks when signed slips had been altered and prices were not consistent for identical drinks. Pool bar closed, given various excuses so had to carry food and drinks down two flights of stairs. Few other disappointing factors list goes on, first time I have ever written such a report in over 45 years of traveling. I hope things improve at what was a delightful resort.

Sehr abgelegenes Hotel mit einem Mietauto kein Problem.Das Frühstück war in Ordnung.Der Zimmerservice war sehr schlecht sowie auch der Zustand des Zimmers. Viel defekt Angefangen von den Möbeln zu verschimmelten Kitfugen zu den Fernbedienungen. Die gebrauchten Trinkgläser standen ungewechselt 4 Tage im Zimmer. Schmutzige Bettwäsche wurde nicht gewechsel. Wir haben in dieser Kategorie schon einige Hotels ausprobiert in Portugal, dies hier war mit Abstand das schlechteste.Wir waren nur zum schlafen im Hotel alles andere können wir nicht beurteilen. Wir haben unseren Urlaub trotzdem genossen.

The Baia Grande was a welcome break for my mum and I. The room was of good quality the breakfast ample and varied for every taste. It was in a nice location out of the main town and very quiet.A 45 minute walk down to the marina or just over an hour in to the old town. In the other direction about 40 minutes to Guia beach which is stunning. We enjoy walking so it was perfect for us. Car hire was relatively cheap if you wanted to get about more and there is plenty to do and enjoy even off peak. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and they were happy to provide all sorts of information and offer the shuttle bus to and from the town or beach. Overall a lovely place to stay and wonderful break.

A nice hotel, would recommend if you want somewhere quiet. We were B&B, breakfast was good, we eat once in the evening, it was ok but in my opinion expensive! We had a hire car so eat out the rest of our stay.

The staff who met us on arrival were friendly, helpful and professional. The majority of staff were fantastic, however some of the staff could learn to be more friendly and approachable, and even smile.The manager who met us was fantastic, I forget his name (bald guy with glasses) who arranged for a bottle of Champagne on ice in our room the following day after he had seen that it was my wifes birthday on the passport. A very nice surprise to come back to.The food was great, but quite expensive as were the beverages. Dont drink the coffee from the coffee machine, it was absolutely disgusting.The young man in the bar was very friendly and helpful, however some of the older bar staff never cracked a smile the whole time we were there.The location was great, but I would recommend you hire a car when you book, theyre quite cheap, to get around, although there is a shuttle service available.If you are younger, and looking for a lively time, this is not place for you, tends to be an older crowd, I felt quite young at one point, but excellent if you want a quiet holiday with great views.Overall a great stay.

Really nice hotel with nice pool up to 160cm deep, indoor pool is okay. Rooms are nice and lovely bar with music playing live also there is a sauna . Very nice hotel !(smells nice )

El hotel espacioso y tranquilo. Aparcamiento gratuito, desayuno bastante decente. Una piscina preciosa. El personal muy amable. Habitación amplia aunque quizás un poco antigua para mi gusto, un poquito más de mantenimiento no estaria mal. La única pega, la escasez de enchufes en las habitaciones. Si tienes que cargar dos móviles... O desenchufas la tele o los cargas por turnos.

El hotel esta muy bien, la ubicacion esta peefecta llenas de calas muy bonitas. La comida esta buena, no hay mucha variedade pero lo poco que hay esta rica. No me gusto mucho la limpeza era bem pobre. La habitacion era grande y la cama confortable.

Nice clean pools and pool areas, plenty of sun loungers and shades for example: umbrellas, gazebos. Staff are friendly and professional. Rooms are good with excellent bathrooms that have bath, shower, toilet, bidet. One downside is the WiFi is very poor, it keeps dropping out and the speed is very slow, I ended up using my mobile data which is only 3G in this area. Food is nice, good quality and good choice. The location is quiet so if you want to go out for night life etc then taxis will be needed.

En primer lugar debo decir que el personal es atento y amable, pero encontramos una toalla sucia(que cambiaron al informar en recepcion),....si te quieres duchar con agua caliente no puedes esperar mucho, pues segun pasa la tarde y se acerca la hora de la cena el agua sale fria(estabamos en 1* planta, hab.124)..... y LO PEORRRR......la comida.....el desayuno basico de hotel sencillo era pasable, pero la cena HORROROSA...poca calidad, poca variedad y sin sabor. La segunda noche(habia menu mejicano) tuvimos que optar por irnos a cenar a Albufeira en vista de que lo poco que habia en el buffet dejaba mucho que desear....por supuesto, no recomiendo este hotel.

Hotel estupendo para familias con niños, parejas y sólo. El desayuno muy completo y variado. Las habitaciones y baños grandes limpios con las camas súper comodas, sin ruidos, descansas genial. La piscina grande y se agradece para después de un paseo. Autobús gratis en el hotel para ir al centro de albufeira y a la playa, el personal muy atento, en general todo perfecto.

Nice hotel but every Thursday they have a BBQ "party" at the pool which means VERY loud music until 11pm. This is not advertised beforehand.

Wir kennen das Hotel seit vielen Jahren und kommen gerne immer wieder, weil die Lage zu drei der schönsten Strände an der Algarve optimal ist. Das Hotel bietet eine sehr schöne Poollandschaft. Restaurant, Bar, usw. alles sehr gepflegt. Personal immer freundlich und hilfsbereit. Was uns dieses Mal besonders erfreut ist, dass die Zimmer frisch renoviert und neu ausgestattet wurden. Immer empfehlenswert. Wir werden weiterhin wieder kommen.

Das Hotel ist etwas abseits eines grösseren Ortes ( Albufeira ) gelegen, jedoch bietet das Hotel einen Shuttleservice an und bringt die Gäste auf Wunsch mehrmals täglich , kostenfrei, nach Albufeira. Die Außenanlage ist großzügig gestaltet, der Pool groß und sauber. Die Bar und die Lobby laden zum verweilen ein. Zwei bis dreimal die Woche gibt es Livemusik - Jazz, Barmusik,Standards, Musicalmusik etc. Die Musik kann einen aber , weil sie bis 23 Uhr geht , schon mal das einschlafen, in den Zimmern erschweren, wenn das Zimmer zu Nahe ist. Das Frühstück ist o.k. - English Breakfast, plus Toast, Eier, Käse, Wurst, Ceralien, Marmelade, Croissants,Obst etc. etc. Abwechslung gibt es kaum.Die Betten sind Klasse - selten so gut in einem Hotel geschlafen. Die Teppiche in den Zimmern wirken, aufgrund der vielen Flecken etc. schon etwas abstoßend. Ich mochte kaum barfuß im Zimmer laufen. Während meines Aufenthaltes wurde ein Flügel des Hotels renoviert und ich habe gehört das auch die Teppiche ausgetauscht werden ( hoffentlich ) Das Bad war sehr sauber. Der Balkon in meinem Zimmer, zum Parkplatz gelegen, winzig; eigentlich nur für eine Person geeignet.Alles in allem, wenn man den Preis dagegen hält , bekommt man einen absolut befriedigenden Gegenwert.Es hat sich für mich gelohnt und ich war weitgehenst zufrieden

Die Zimmer sind schon etwas renovierungsbedürftig, aber uns hat das bei dem günstigen Preis nicht so gestört. Wir haben das gewünschte Zimmer mit Teppichboden erhalten und dazu gratis einen tollen Ausblick,damit waren wir sehr zufrieden!Das Frühstück ist gut! Hochwertige Obst- und Brot Auswahl, das ist in vielen anderen Hotels minderwertiger. Der Indoor Pool hat uns sehr gefallen, das Wasser war wunderbar warm und es war schön leer dort,nur das Wasser im Jaccuzi war kühl.Das Personal in der Bar war nicht sehr freundlich, die laute Live Musik am Abend war in unserem Zimmer glücklicherweise nicht so laut zu hören, das könnte aber sehr stören.

Schön sauber, personal super freundlich, in der Piano Bar spielen manchmal musiker, sehr schön. Aber die Sauna ist zu kalt und zu klein (könnte ohne probleme eine 2 ebene eingebaut werden). Das Hallenbad ist zu laut (von wegen lüftung...). Der Meerblick naja 2km weit weck vom strand.. und an der piano bar haben wir 15min gewartet und es ist niemand gekommen dann sind wir irgengwan gegangen... .Der preis war ok.

Ich war im Juli 2016 da.......als Paar.........ein perfektes Hotel. Freundliches Personal......sehr sauber.....tolle Anlage.Die Lage ist allerdings nicht so toll ( etwas außerhalb ).....aber Transfer zur Stadt und zum Strand ist vorhanden........Würde ich wieder buchen........

we had a grerat stay at this hotel. Staff was super friendly, the food was great and room was nice and spatious. Do pay the extra amount to get a room with a sea view, otherwise you'll be looking out over the parking lot.

Sehr nettes und gepflegtes und mit Phantasie gestaltetes Hotel. Schöne Zimmer mit Meerblick und Palmen. Leider etwas ärgerlich ist der kleinliche Umgang mit dem Internet - frei nur in der Lobby/Bar, im Zimmer dann auch nur ein Gerät möglich, nachdem man bezahlt hat. Eine Poolbenützung vor 8 Uhr wäre auch gut, es macht das Schwimmen praktisch keinen Lärm.

Unsere Minibar war von Schimmel befallen, das Zimmer wurde am ersten Tag nicht gereinigt. Auf Nachfrage wurde Minibar so gut eben möglich vom Schimmel befreit, funktionierte danach jedoch nicht. Trotz mehrfacher Bitten keine Reparatur.Notausgänge werden systematisch abgeschlossen und zusätzlich mit Tischen blockiert (z.B. Restaurant - nur einer von 3 Ausgängen für ca. 150 Sitzplätze frei, z.B. Poolbereich ab ~ 19 Uhr sind Notausgänge abgeschlossen, um zu verhindern, dass Gäste den Poolbereich betreten).Lage: Albufeira ist nur mit Auto zu erreichen - Shuttel fährt nur 3x am Tag (letzte Rückfahrt ~ 18:30 Uhr)

The hotel was lovely, spotlessly clean with very accommodating staff. The young lady who ran the pool bar and the gentleman who ran the piano bar were particularly pleasant and helpful. I had a really relaxing week which was I wanted. I would recommend the hotel unreservedly.

Urlaub im November. Schöne erholsame Klippenwanderungen auch mit einen kurzen Sprung ins Meer kein Problem. Pool kann von sportlichen Urlaubern bei einer Wassertemperatur von 18 Grad genutzt werden. Finde ich toll !!

the hotel is in a quiet area , there are a few good restaurants close by , there are four small beaches within a ten minuite walk all with small restaurants/ barsthe hotel its self is very clean , the rooms are a good size with large bathrooms and good facilties,the piano bar as lovely views over the large pool area and over the sea, it serves very good cocktails ,wine and beerswe only had breakfast at the hotel this was good ,buffetstyle with reasonable choices of hot and continental food ,there is also a pool bar that does hot and cold snacks at lunch time ,there is a shuttle bus from the hotel that takes you in to the old town that runs several times a day and is free, over all the staff are friendly and helpful ,and we would definatley return again

The hotel is comfortable and the staff are fantastic. However some basic problems.***Good points***- Room was comfortable.- Staff are very helpful and friendly.- Breakfast was pretty good for the cost.- Plenty of space to laze around the pool (it was april before easter though).- Its outside of Albufeira, but that makes it quieter.- about 10 min walk to the beach.***Bad points***- The carpet in the room was stained and dirty, not good for first impressions. The pool also needed to have a scrub.- They have music in the piano bar, thats fine. But there is no extra sound insulation for any of the rooms near the central open well above the bar meaning we got loud music until about 11pm most evenings.- They make you pay for everything extra. That includes to use the room safe, room internet (wifi only in the reception), even 50c to call a taxi.- The indoor pool is tiny. Not representative of the photo.

Das Hotel hat uns gut gefallen. Wir würden wieder dieses Hotel buchen.Die Fahrt vom Flughafen FARO zum Hotel dauerte ca. 40min mit dem Auto.Die Entfernung zum Strand ca. 15min Fußmarsch und nach Albufeira ca. 10min mit dem Auto.Hinweis:Die Zimmer neben der Bar Lounge meiden, da in der Bar Lounge fast täglich Musikveranstaltungen stattfinden und man vor 23:30Uhr keine Ruhe findet.

Schönes, etwas in die Jahre gekommenes Hotel mit sehr freundlichem und hilfsbereitem Personal. Kostenloser Busservice nach Albufeira ist gegeben. Auch Shuttles zu einem Strand, die wir aber nicht genutzt haben, weil wir über die Rezeption einen Roller mieteten.Hier wurden wir super unterstützt und alles hat wunderbar geklappt.Einen oder mehrere Strände gibt es in Laufnähe, aber wie gesagt, wir waren mit dem Roller unterwegs, daher kann ich diese Strände nicht bewerten. :-)Das Publikum ist bei unserem Aufenthalt Ende Juli bunt gemischt gewesen. Ich konnte Besucher aus Frankreich, Spanien, Portugal, Holland und vor allem England identifizieren ;) Allesamt freundlich, eher ruhig. Am Pool war es stets angenehm.Wir hatten essenstechnisch nur das Frühstück gebucht, das sehr englisch geprägt war. English breakfast, frisches Obst, Brötchen mit Käse, Wurst und Marmelade sind da zu haben. Ganz okay, leider wenig Abwechslung. An einem Abend gab es ein BBQ, an welchem wir teilgenommen haben. Kann man empfehlen! Ein Riesen Buffet an Gegrilltem, auch Fisch, Salaten und Desserts.Ansonsten gibt es abends regelmäßig live-Musik an der Bar. Nett :)

3 nuits blanches à cause du bruit de climatiseur exterieur....le personnel la journéé qui sest deplacé pour evaluer le bruit ne lentendait pas ( normal vu que la journéé il y a plus de bruit en général qui couvre et que cest un climatiseur qui se mettait en route apparement plus la nuit) malgres mes explication jai eu limpression detre prise pour une folle et cest au bout du troisieme jour que enfin le responsable sest deplacer et on a changé de chambre pour la derniere nuit jai pu dormir sans aucun bruit
