The foods good but the portions aren’t that great. I can’t speak to all the dishes as we only had the 1/2 chicken, tomato salad and side chips. The half chicken is a half tiny chicken. The salad was massive and the fries were a good size. Other than that the staff are friendly.

Für das Piri Piri Hähnchen gingen wir hin und wurden auch nicht enttäuscht, das war prima und tatsächlich das Beste in der Umgebung. Das Lokal: klein, urig und typisch portugiesisch. Es lohnt sich, dort ein zu kehren.

Sat in the punter pub a few times and this place was always very busy and had people waiting for takeaways . On the last night of our holiday we decided to get a takeaway I wish we had eaten there earlier great food and staff

We liked this little restaurant so much that we ate here twice in one holiday. We ordered piri piri chicken for 4 with chips. The chips were nice and crispy and the chicken was cut into pieces and just delicious. Our lips were burning delightfully from the spice. Total bill for food and 4 drinks was £40.

Very basic, nothing special. Very small portion of chicken. If that was 1/2 chicken it must have been very very small!! Casual atmosphere with sort of communal seating. It's ok but I wouldn't rush back. Tip to Chef/owner look for bigger chickens!

Nous avons pris les viandes grillées pour deux.
Très bon mais une étoile en moins car les fins étaient vraiment secs( trop cuit ou pas de bonne qualité, très peu de viande voire que des os)
Belle terrasse et prix abordable pour le quartier.
Bon point pour la serveuse très souriante et agréable!

The food here is simply excellent. The chicken is to die for and the service is very friendly. You might wait a little longer than other places as there is usually only one front of house but it is more than worth the wait.

Truly disappointed with the service, my sister and I arrived at the restaurant and waited to be seated for 5 minutes and without any interaction with the staff we decided it would be best if we walked in to make our selves seen, but still no staff seated us. We looked back and could see two other families also waiting to be seated. Then we walked up to the till Area and asked for a table for 2 but the waiter quickly told us to just wait in an aggressive manor. We looked around and there were many open tables, just the staff was too lazy to seat us. We looked back and the other families were still waiting too and looked unpleased.We waited an additional 5 minutes but then decided to just leave. On the way out one of the waitresses was blocking the way out while talking with a guest we kindly asked her to move but she didn’t budge, we literally had to push our way out. Horrible behavior.

Great place to eat, authentic cooking, ribs and black pork succulent and tasty. Mixed salad is the best, could eat the salad everyday. Come early to avoid disappointment as tables go very quickly. Family oriented and wheelchair accessible.

Service was good. The only reason I wouldn't give 5 stars normally is because the food wasn't amazing. It's definitely a restaurant you should try though. Also, the pricing was pretty alright nonetheless. (I'm giving it 5 stars anyways because relative to its location the food is great).

A minha cotação é mais elevada devido às boa qualidade da comida. O espaço o tem nada de maior, mas o pior é mesmo o serviço: lento, descordenado. O tempo para servir um churrasquinho que consistia em frango, meia peça de entrecosto e duas febras/secretos foi tal que tivemos tempo de ficar a ler... Estivemos 8min a espera de dois cafés - a casa nem cheia estava - e, após 3 vindas da empregada até às esplanada sem nada trazer para qualquer mesa, desistimos dos cafés e pedimos apenas a conta.

El 1/2 pollo piri piri era poquísimo, el secreto y el lombinho estaban muy pasados y salados, hasta tal punto que resultaban muy duros y secos. El Secreto resultaba, además, muy grasiento.
La camarera resultaba desagradable y con prisas por cerrar. Nos dijo que la guarnición estaba incluida en el precio y que podíamos elegir entre ensalada, patatas fritas o arroz. Elegimos 2 de ensalada y 2 de patatas, y nos la sirvieron juntas en el mismo plato, aparte de que resultaron ridículas de poca cantidad.
Para finalizar, cuando pedimos la cuenta, cual es nuestra sorpresa que nos cobran 3€ por la ensalada minúscula y un poco más de 3€ por las patatas fritas.
No pienso volver nunca. Hay muchos sitios en Portugal donde se come mejor, a mejor precio y con mejor trato.

Fuimos 2 dias: pollo piri-piri ESPECTACULAR. El plato que tiene varias carnes para 2 personas por 19,90 nos decepcionó. Además te quedas con hambre.

Absolutely superb food. We had the mixed grill for two and it was amazing. Lovely and crispy, but succulent on the inside.
The lady was very friendly, helpful, and talked to us at length about her beautiful country. It was our first time to Portugal, but thanks to people like her we will definately be back.
P.s. try the peri-peri sauce. Quite hot and full of favour.

The food looks nothing like photos and this is not a restaurant either, its more like a fast food shop with limited sitting area. We ordered mixed grill for 2 and what we got was more bone than meat. Piri Piri sauce is just some super spicy (chili) oil and nothing's else. I don't know if we were unlucky to come here in a bad day or those who left good reviews don't know what good food is. Will never come here again. So disappointed

Real family feel to this friendly little restaurant. Piri Piri chicken was absolutely delicious - home made recipe, so good we came back a second night. Very good price too.

Went on the recommendation of another holidaymaker and were not disappointed.
We had Piri piri chicken, pork ribs, chips, tomato salad, small rice pudding, a beer served in a chilled jug and an iced tea. 27 euros for everything. This was less than half of what we had paid the previous evening for a far less enjoyable meal. Service cheerful, helpful and friendly. Can recommend and will return!!

Fabulous cosy rustic restaurant which is relaxed and very friendly. The homemade pir pir sauce is amazing hot and tasted fantastic. The food is excellent with well cooked fries and made salads. Couldn't fault the place . Will return for sure. Cosy relaxed place to eat . Highly recommended enjoy Danny783

Un sitio pequeño pero acogedor, no te das cuenta de la masificación de gente alrededor y la comida muy buena. Como curiosidad, sino tienen sitio y hay sitio en otras mesas te ponen a compartir mesa con otras personas
