Zeven dagen het zelfde ontbijt gekregen. Wc op de kamer bleef lopen. De emaile van het bad was eraf
De lamp naast het bed had geen lampenkap en hing half uit de muur. Gewoon, alles is versleten en verouderd. Het hotel is dringend aan renovatie toe. Wij gaan in ieder geval niet meer terug.

On the first night the room we were given was not good at all, the bed made serious noise when ever we tried to move, and also it was very dark, it looked to me it was a store room kind of thing(room no.2), we reported and they changed it to a nice room with balcony(room 209) on the 3rd day as we left to tour the city on the 2nd day. The 209 number room was good. Both room have a common problem, when taking shower on the bath tub the water dont pass quickly, I think the hotel need to see the plumbing seriously. We faced this problem on both room. Staff were always helpful, the room always clean and tidy, they dont have tea Cattle in the room but we asked and it was given to us. if they could arrange a small fridge for every room, it would be best, because it was really hot weather outside, the room have air condition. The wifi is very strong in every room. Train station is literally opposite side of the hotel and the bus station is about 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Also very close to almost all the places to visit.

Location was good as close to airport but not a nice area. Room was not very clean, especially the bathroom. Toilet had faeces in. Condition of shower was shocking. Very cheap bed with only 1 pillow. Very close to busy road so loud.

Близко к вокзалу и основным туристическим местам. Недорого. Хорошо убирают.
Кондиционер над головой спящего. Насморк и кашель утром. Вторую ночь спали без него. Можно открывать балкон, но внизу шумная дорога.
На завтраке из горячих блюд только вареные яйца и нет чая. В остальном стандартный набор закусок.
2 розетки в номере, не у кроватей.
Кровати короткие.
Вид с балкона на заброшенные здания.

Sofrível... Fiquei particularmente desiludido com o facto de se anunciar como tendo parque gratuito e no final é um lugar. Tecnicamente é verdade, mas ainda assim em abril passei quinze minutos a procurar lugar... Muito agradável depois de já ter conduzido umas horas.
Em termos do quarto... Duas estrelas, tal como anunciado. Tem uma cama para se deitar, tem tomadas elétricas do outro lado do quarto, o que é um bocado palerma. Tem wi-fi com bom sinal. Ouve-se as conversas dos vizinhos, mas só se estivermos atentos e tenho uma mosca que não me sai do quarto. A televisão é do séc XVIII mas tem ar condicionado. Não o liguei, mas entretanto consegui matar a mosca.
Não custava uma indicação, no quarto ou aquando do check in, sobre como aceder ao wi-fi... Assim a pessoa não precisava de voltar a recepção para perguntar isso.
Já tive pior?, sem dúvida... Mas fiquei lixado com o estacionamento.

Moche, chambres très petites, propriétaire radin et de mauvaise foi, cher pour un taudis avec cafards et petit déjeuner à bases de produits de la plus mauvaise qualité. Mais le propriétaire s'en fiche puisque Faro est une ville de passage... Jusqu'au jour où le marché l'immobilier [location] s'effondrera en Algarve car beaucoup trop cher rapport qualité prix, le marché de la vente étant encore abordable

Besonders toll ist das Frühstückbuffet , als Extremfrühstücker geht einem da das Herz auf. Gut okay, ich wiege auch 105 Kilo da braucht man schon ein ordentliches Angebot. Personal sehr freundlich, Zimmer immer sauber.

le pire hôtel de ma vie:
-un froid glacial toute la nuit, des couvertures qui puaient le moisis étaient dans le placard
-impossible d’ouvrir la fenêtre psk elle donnait sur le restaurant (rien en fait juste un mur)
-pas d’air, odeur de moisi pas aéré
-la chambre a cotée de la réception, on étendait les clients rentrer à 4h de matin et qui parlaient fort dans le hall
-les lits faisaient super mal au dos, des ressorts qui sortent
-une salle de bain minuscule et immonde
-des vus sortaient des prises donc impossible de charger nos téléphones
-un rideau écroulé dans un coin

Das Hotel liegt nur wenige Meter vom Bahnhof entfernt und damit ziemlich praktisch. Das Hotel ist insgesamt ein bisschen altbacken , aber für den Preis (ich habe über Expedia einen Schnäppchenpreis inkl. Frühstück bezahlt) kann ich es weiterempfehlen. Das Bett war bequem, das Bad zwar klein und etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber sauber und zweckmäßig. Das Frühstücksbüffet war für den geringen Preis spitzenmäßig. Das Personal ist freundlich und um den Gast bemüht.

Die Möbel waren einfach und teilweise abgewohnt und auch das Badezimmer war nicht mehr das neueste, aber das Bett war bequem (auch das Kissen :-)) und - worauf ich Wert lege - der Wasserdruck in der Dusche sehr gut.

Die zentrale Lage zur Bahn, Bus und alter Stadtteil ist genial. Das Hotel weist noch alte Tischlerarbeiten aus früheren Zeiten auf. Stilvoll ist noch der alte Hauch von vergangener Zeit zu spüren. Das Zimmer war mit Balkon und Fernseher ausgestattet. Das Wifi funktioniert überraschend gut. Die Nacht war trotz Straßenverlauf sehr ruhig und still. Entspanntes Aufwachen inklusive. Das Frühstücksbuffet hat eine gefühlte Länge von 8 Metern. Eine liebevolle Zubereitung und frisches Obst runden den Start in den Tag bestens ab. Der Empfang an der Reception ist wie ein nach Hause kommen. Jede Frage und Unterstützung wurde angeboten. Dieses Hotel hat meine Erwartungen übertroffen. Bom dia...Martin

Nice staff. That's about it. The hotel is completely unsuitable as a place to sleep. Not because it's old (it is, tho), but because it's almost impossible to have a sleep there. Imagine no soundproof windows, but a thin-glazed balcony door. Now think of a huge garbage truck with two loud workers making a stop every night to collect; then loud buses passing by several times in the night; then planes being quite loud (Faro is a small town) flying by. And people talking in the early morning, and the hotel maid knocking on your door around 10AM. There wasn't a DND sign for me to hang outside, on the door knob. There was no kettle in the room. The two electric sockets were on the other side of the room, so no laying on the bed and checking your phone while charging.
I wouldn't complain about the room: it has an okay bed with clean linen, a private bathroom that is in a good state and the hotel is 10 minutes from the Marino area with all the restaurants. But you can forget about good sleep. And then the question “why would I pay at all for a torture like this" arises...

Hôtel vétuste et très bruyant malgré une chambre ne donnant pas sur la rue celle ci reste très bruyante entre le train et les nombreux passage aucune isolation même pas de double vitrage, la baignoire est noir et toute petite salle de bain, nombreux poil sur les draps. Pour 40€ la nuit hors saison!!

Café da manhã farto. Quarto simples e com um pouco de mofo nas paredes. Cheguei antes do check-in (que é as 14h) e o quarto não foi liberado. Depois voltei as 16h e o quarto ainda não estava pronto e tive que esperar 15 min para entrar. Localização boa. Perto da estação de trem e 15 min da codade velha.

Buena ubicación. Hotel sencillo pero muy limpio. Teniamos una habitación triple ya que viajé con mis padres . era interior en el piso bajo pero amplia. Cuando llegamos no teniamos mesillas de noche. Eran tres camas ( muy cómodas) un escritorio y una silla. Las pedimos y nos trajeron sólo una mesilla y otra silla. El ventilador del baño hace mucho ruido y no se puede parar con la luz encendida.El desayuno está bien. En resumen hotel.cómodo, bien ubicado y limpio.

Nice hotel. Very close to the center, 5 min walk. Close to the train station, 2 minutes walk. We had a clean towels and sheets every day. Breakfast was very tasty. Fresh rolls and delicious coffee. Very polite and helpful receptionist. If I will back to Faro I will stay in this hotel again. I recommended this hotel.

Hôtel tres moyen. Carreau cassé, prise mural qui ne teint pas au mur, télé grande comme un mouchoir de poche, pas de frigo, pas de verre dans la salle de bain. Chambre très petite. Pas de fermeture de la fenêtre. Petit déjeuner annoncé gratuit mais finalement payant 6 €. Très difficile pour garer en voiture. Écoulant de la baignoire laborieux, ventilation de la salle de bain tres négliger !Maintenant , pour y dormir une nuit c'est assez!

Our flight landed late on a Saturday night in Faro, and we chose this hotel due to its proximity to the airport and of course the price of a stay. The next day we continued to our final destination. Our room was fully adequate for our short stay. However, a BIG downside was that the hotel does not offer parking and the receptionist was not helpful at all in finding a parking lot. She sent me off with a look over there in the next block. I did that, and it turned out that it took me 20 minutes of driving around in a city where pretty much every parking lot had been taken. Also, the prevalence of one-way streets makes it close to impossible to stay in the vicinity, so when I finally found a lot it was about 15 minutes by foot from the hotel.In conclusion, if you do not have a car and look for an economy hotel near the city centre of Faro then this is a fair choice. If you come by car, and especially at night, I cannot recommend this hotel.

Ist eben ein Stadthotel... Dieses muss man sich im Klaren sein.
Straßenlärm die ganze Nacht. Zu hören auch bei geschlossenen Fenster.
Kleine Zimmer, kleines Bad, sehr in die Tage gekommen und muffig. Aber zum kurzen Stadtbesuch geht es.
In die schöne Altstadt sind es nur 10 Gehminuten und zum Flughafenbus nur ca. 5 Minuten

Schönes Zimmer und Bad allerdings auch ziemlich teuer dafür, dass es eher einem hostel gleicht und in der Umgebung viele verlassene Gebäude stehen. Außerdem wird für Frühstück 16€ pro Person verlangt was meinst Meinung nach zu viel ist. Pluspunkt das Meer ist nur 3min und die Altstadt 10-15mim entfernt.

Very nice hotel in the city of Faro, with comfortable bed and cozy room. The breakfast was a buffet with the right variety, I would recommend it to everybody. The hotel is near the city exit to the west of the Algarve, where the best beaches are, so that's also a plus.

Muy bien como bed&breakfast pero las habitaciones están algo anticuadas y el baño es bastante antiguo, el personal fue agradable. Lo recomendaría para una estancia de pocos días donde la mayor parte del tiempo vayas a visitar playas o hacer turismo. Relación calidad-precio buena.

This is a great, basic, 2 star hotel very close to the centre, bus and train stations. Very nice restaurants within 5 minute walk. The room had everything we needed and was comfortable. The kettle and cups were also very welcome. We brought our own tea and coffee, but enjoyed the 2 complimentary teabags as well.
Our room had heating as well as air conditioning which was very welcome on a cold, rainy day.
The area around the hotel does look run down - there are derelict buildings and lots of graffiti, but don't let that put you off! The area was safe and neither my 82 year old mother or myself ever felt unsafe.
I would recommend this hotel.

Heel slecht, kamers zijn antiek, geen nachtkastjes, wel lamp maar geen lampenkapje naast bed.Balkonnetje met 1 stoel, kamer ook maar 1 stoel. Badkamer, bad met stukken email uit, kraan niet te regelen. Enige dat ok is is de airco. Personeel helemaal niet vriendelijk en het ontbijt, alle dagen hetzelfde, geen variatie en ook weinig keuze. Wel 20 soorten koekjes (snoep)in een heel onaangename refter.Sorry beter sluiten, deftig renoveren en dan terug open met deftig personeel

Hôtel propre, très bien situé à 500m du port et du centre historique Arco Da Vila. Le quartier est très calme malgré une vue sur une usine abandonnée et désaffectée. Concernant l'hôtel, les chambres étaient propres et très correctes. Points négatifs : insonorisation et le petit déjeuner pas terribles. Poursupi proposer du jus d'orange en poudre, imbuvable, alors que des oranges naturelles jaillissent dans tous les arbres de la ville ? Deception

I wouldn’t call it as a hotel as it was more like an old place in a residential quarter.
No WiFi!!! We went downstairs for help, yet the staff told us it sometimes didn’t work for iPhone users........

Hotel in buona posizione, parcheggio in strada da cercare. Noi eravamo al piano terra quindi per due giorni non abbiamo potuto aprire la finestra perché affacciava in una via di passaggio. La camera era calda, non arieggiata. Appena arrivati si sentiva odore di fumo, proveniente forse dalla strada. Consiglio la prenotazione senza colazione, poiché non è nulla di particolare. Meglio andare in un bar.

Albergo in pessimo stato generale. Un 2 stelle scadente. Lenzuola pulite, bagno vecchio e malconcio, un po' come tutta la struttura. Personale gentile e colazione normale, buona. Posizione molto comoda, ma a questi prezzi però si trova molto di meglio a Faro.

The staff were very accommodating with our needs, we have a 1 year old and they provided a baby bed which was amazing to keep him secure at night. It’s not the newest hotel but it was very clean and the photos from Expedia don’t do it justice. It’s 3 minutes away from Faro train station which was what needed too. We will be back for sure.

Für eine Nacht vollkommen ok, vom Flughafen nur 15 Minuten entfernt. Parkplatzsuche dauerte sehr lange. Die Zimmer sehr klein und hatten die beste Zeit schon hinter sich. Für 65Euro kein Schnäppchen, aber mit einem guten Frühstücksbuffet deswegen auch noch 3 Sterne und wie gesagt wir waren um Mitternacht da und nach dem Frühstück um 09:00 auch schon wieder weg...Bilder vom Balkon.

Die Lage des Hotels ist gut, nur 3 Stationen mit der Metro bis zum Zentrum. Kostenlose Parkplätze vor der Tür und das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.Einziges kleines Manko war das winzige Zimmer, da man kaum Platz hat den Koffer hinzustellen.

L'un des hôtel les moins chères de Faro. Niveau salle de bain... C'est pas jeune et limite dégoûtant, on s'est pas douché dedans ! La ventilation de la salle de bain faisait un bruit dingue quand on allumait la lumière, à l'ancienne ! Sinon pour le reste, correct, petit déjeuner correct aussi. Hôtel suffisant pour du transit, mais pas pour y séjourner.

La habitación era muy pequeña, al igual que el cuarto de baño, el wifi no le ha funcionado en la habitación, solamente en la recepción. Lo único bueno es que tiene aire acondicionado. El desayuno buffet iba incluido, aun que tengo que decir que era bastante cutre, las galletas estaban rancias y los croissant parecían del día anterior. Relación calidad precio, aceptable.

Would not recommend booking here. I only give It two stars because the staff was friendly and helpful and the location is convenient for the train, otherwise this was not an enjoyable place to stay.
The major issue I had with it is that in the night while we were sleeping a heavy lampshade fell off the wall above the bed, hit the bed then broke on the floor. Thankfully I had moved the bed a few days earlier since I’m travelling with my mum and we appreciated having a couple feet between our beds instead of them being pushed together as they were when we arrived. If I hadn’t moved the bed the lampshade would have landed very close to my head. The gentleman in the lobby was helpful to come upstairs and clean it up, but it shouldn’t have happened.
The shower head does not stay up in the holder without water pressure. When the water gets turned off, it falls down and not knowing that, hit my mum in the shoulder.
Then there was the issue of parking, it was hard to find parking some evenings and we had a pretty small car. If you have a bigger car I imagine it’d be even more difficult.
There is also no mini fridge and the blow drier didn’t work.
The towel rack for the shower towels was located within the shower area, which I found a bit odd and had to move them so they didn’t get wet.
I booked this hotel because we were arriving late and leaving early by train so it’s a convenient location for that and was a decent price. But with everything, I should have booked somewhere else.

Na aankomst werd ons verteld dat we het laatste beschikbare kamer kregen. Dit was op de eerste verdieping kamer 102. Onmiddellijk bleek dit een ontzettend verouderde kamer met twee losse bedden. Bij boeken ( ruim een maand van te voren )expliciet gekozen voor een tweepersoonsbed. Dus terug naar de receptie.. receptionist wilde in eerste instantie niet meewerken met de verwijzing naar het niet beschikbaar zijn van verdere kamers. Toen we hem de boekingspapieren toonde met daarop duidelijk het twee persoonsbed werd er na veel gezucht en gekreun wat gerommeld en gaf hij een andere sleutel. Direct bij ontvangst van de sleutel de vraag is dit zeker een kamer met tweepersoonsbed. Hierop begon de receptionist te twijfelen en verschafte wederom een andere sleutel. Raar gezien er bij aankomst verteld werd dat we de laatst beschikbare kamer hadden. Maar goed we kregen dus een andere kamer. Bij openen van de deur van de desbetreffende kamer was het wederom een erg verouderde
en vervallen kamer. De badkamer had schimmel tussen alle tegels en de douchekraan kon van ellende niet in de houder blijven. Al met al een erg slechte ervaring en voor ons dan ook nooit meer. Erg spijtig. Absoluut niet 3 ster waardig.

The staff are super friendly, they are the best thing about the hotel. It is old and dated, but clean and the rooms do have private bathrooms.
But pack ear plugs... The windows and walls are thin, I didn't sleep a wink! The garbage trucks/ buses run all night. I could hear the people in the next room flicking switches and chatting. There was also constant banging of doors which seemed to riccoshade through the whole hotel.
The hotel is not fit for purpose if you want a good night's kip.
I can't comment on breakfast as I didn't have it.

Bardzo spokojny hotel położony w samym centrum Faro. Obsługa miła i pomocna. Pokoje czyste i sprzątane codziennie. Jeżeli chcesz wypocząć po trudach plażowania lub zwiedzania, to ten hotel jest do tego idealny. Śniadania serwowane codzienne są więcej niż obfite i absolutnie każdy znajdzie coś dla siebie a w kwestii wyboru kawy po prostu rozpieszczają gości :-)

The photos make this place look presentable but they're very misleading. It's below a hostel in terms of facilities and cleanliness and absolutely not worth what they charge as it is priced as though it's a hotel even though it doesn't meet that standard - terrible location in a run-down part of town, ugly old fashioned rooms that shake when a plane goes overhead and vibrate whenever a car drives by, unhelpful staff that couldn't tell me anywhere to get food even though there's a McDonald's round the corner... just failed on every single point. Plus, the breakfast is literally some packets of biscuits and crackers which you are not allowed to take for later. I urge you to stay anywhere else or risk ruining your holiday as I did by choosing the alfonso.

A diseaster ! It said 2 stars, but the hotel doesn't deserve them. The room are very small and old fashioned. The bathroom is also old fashioned, and not well designed! Gitterstäbe vor dem (einzigen, kleinen) Fenster, an dem ständig Leute vorbeigehen und aufgrund der Fensterhöhe direkt ins Zimmer schauen. Auf die Toilette kann man sich nur sehr schwerfällig setzten, da 20cm vor dem WC ein Bidet installiert ist. Es ist sehr dunkel im Zimmer. Service ansich ganz nett. Kaum Parkplätze vor dem Hotel (nur in näherer Umgebung. Hier sollte man allerdings bzgl. Vandalismus an Leihwagen aufpassen).

Un absoluto horror, hotel "de mala muerte" sucio y viejo y el trato del personal es incalificable, no todo el hotel tiene ascensor, el parking gratuito es la calle.
Nos pusieron la primera noche en una habitación que no habíamos reservado, la cual carecía de ascensor y cama doble, además de estar en unas pésimas condiciones (cerradura forzada,puerta de la terraza que no cerraba,ruido de la calle, cortinas de baño sucias).
Cuando solicitamos la habitación que habíamos reservado nos dijeron que como eran las 12 ya no la tenían, nos dieron al día siguiente nuestra habitación que estaba en mejores condiciones, pero se negaron a recompensarnos de ninguna manera alegando que la culpa era nuestra por no darnos cuenta antes de que esa habitación no era la nuestra, en fin totalmente recomendable no visitar este sitio.

Une honte... attrape touriste. Même en demandant une chambre au calme ils n'ont pas pris note de notre demande. Hôtel vieux sale et très mal isolé. Si vous voulez passez une nuit blanche c'est l'hôtel qu'il vous faut.

Personnel très charmant gentil accueillant ns ayant gardé les bagages lors de notre escapade en Espagne en attendant notre dernière nuit chez eux.En revanche la chambre donnait sur une rue bruyante, la chasse d eau faisait un bruit énorme lorsqu on la tirait, pas de chevet près du lit, salle de bain vieillotte, baignoire à moitié bouchée et avec des traces.
Emplacement à dix minutes du centre ville : point positif. Climatisation ok.....

My husband & I stayed here for our 'mini-moon' (we're planning a trip to Thailand in a few months for the real deal). We wanted somewhere cheap & cheerful just for a few days to chill out after all the mayhem of our big day.
Alfonso fit the bill perfectly. We may be giving the wrong impression by giving it a '4' star rating, the hotel itself isn't luxurious. We were glad of the air con & the shutters which made the room almost pitch black, that really helped gain a good night's sleep. Also, we read several reviews that complained of noise, but we did not have any issues at all. Alfonso is a budget hotel that is well run, clean, comfortable and makes a great base to explore the wider area.
Breakfast was served over a generous time (I think from around 6:30 up to around 10) and there was a decent enough selection of continental style items on offer. The coffee was particularly good.
What did warrant the stars though was just how accommodating and helpful the staff are. They will really go out of their way to help you out. Could not have asked any more from them.

Os quartos são pequenos e antiquados. As casas de banho são pequenas. Os empregados são atenciosos,existem apenas uns detalhes que devem ser ratificados. Tais como preparar o pequeno almoço de madrugada,uma vez que os servem cedo também começam cedo,quem fica nos quartos junto à recepção ouve tudo,que foi o meu caso. Das 4h30 em diante não dormi mais ,mas também se ouve bastante barulho no hotel todo. Pessoas a conversar ate altas horas da noite tanto nos corredores como nos quartos. Não deveria ser permitido. Falar sim mas sem incomodar os demais. De resto a internet fraquíssima.

Habitación muy antigua y descuidada. Muebles viejos y el baño limpio,pero muy deteriorado y con la bañera negra, del paso del tiempo. La ubicación es bastante buena y el desayuno, que estaba incluído, tipo buffete libre, bastante completo. La atención del personal muy buena. Las almohadas muy delgadas y pequeñas. Pedimos almohadas dobles y enseguida las trajeron.

A very peaceful hotel with a great location close to Faro train station. Nice staff, limited breakfast but that's no problem. Free wifi. Loved the comfortable mattress that gave me a good sleep. Needs a little bit of maintenance but overall I'm very happy. Staff friendly. Even made the beds every day and even fold my sleeping clothes

Um lugar acolhedor, com tratamento familiar. O pessoal do hotel é muito simpático e está sempre disposto a ajudar. É como sentir-se em casa. Adorei.

Hotel propre et central. A deux cents metres de la gare des trains et bus. Personnel acceuillant, chambre propre et fonctionnelle. Bon PDJ. A recommander pour un passage souvent oblige a Faro.

Séjour dune seule nuit, établissement de bon niveau, correct et bien placé pour visiter. Toutefois FARO ne présente vraiment aucun intéret, triste, et sans objet touristique, ny consacrer que 2 ou 3 heures cela suffit amplement;allez direct à LAGOS.
