If you're looking for great service, Sol E Jardim is the place for you. Initially, we had opted for another restaurant for our first dining experience in Faro. After one bad service, we found ourselves returning to Sol E Jardim which we had discovered when an elderly man approached us and told us that "everything is delicious".
I ordered the chicken breast with mushrooms which was creamy! My friend ordered the chicken kebab which was juicy and well presented. Overall, the most memorable part of this experience was the service. We ordered sangria and our server poured every cup. As soon as he saw us pouring for ourselves, he insisted on helping us. We did not expect it but it was well appreciated.
Sol Em Jardim really turned a sour experience and reminded us that there are lots of great people and places to see in Faro.

Accueil personnalisé et sympathique, le Français est parlé par une partie du personnel, terrasse sur la rue et salle de restaurant spacieuse et bien éclairée.
Service assez rapide, de bon plats bien remplis avec des ingrédients frais. Prix très corrects.

Très bonne accueille très bon repas déco magnifique des énormes poissons en aquarium, et le serveur très sympa nous a sortie des tortues pour amuser le petit. Ils ont également une pièce adapté pour changer les bébés. Idéal pour les enfants accepte les gros chiens. Dispose d'une terrasse intérieure pour les fumeur. Peu copieux mais satisfaisant.

Sehr freundlicher Kellner, gute Weinempfehlung, leckerer Fisch, einfaches und angenehmes Ambiente, Dessert und Kaffee hat uns auch gut geschmeckt. Wirkt alteingesessen und authentisch. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt und den Abend genossen.

Dobra restauracja. W centrum Faro. Sympatyczna obsługa, dużo miejscowych i sporo turystów. Ceny przystępne. Świeże i bardzo smaczne sardynki, owoce morza ( polecam ośmiornice), a także fajne menu dla dzieci.

Hier gibt es typisch portugiesische Küche zum günstigen Preis und in ansprechendem Ambiente. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und entgegenkommend. Die Speisen sind liebevoll angerichtet und schlichtweg lecker.

De passage début novembre, le restaurant où nous voulions allez était hélas fermé. Sur le trottoir en face, nous nous sommes fait racoller par les serveurs de ce restaurant après nous être débarrassé de ceux du premier (qui fait parti de la même famille). Nous n'aurions pas dû y entrer. Propreté plus que douteuse et surtout mets mal cuisiné. Le calamar était de la semelle et le poulpe grillé pas frais. Résultat nous avons été malade. Très cher. Piège à touristes

Ristorante gradevole, dove la cortesia e la gentilezza costituiscono le note caratteristiche. Siamo stati a pranzo e a cena il 31 ottobre e il 1 novembre, ci hanno accolti come se ci conoscessero da sempre. Le proposte, tutte piatti di mare, sono state apprezzate e piacevolmente gradite. Ottimi la zuppetta ai frutti di mare e il baccalà alla brace. Gentilissimi i gestori ei personale di servizio. Merita una menzione speciale Luigi, che ha familiarizzato con noi e ci messo a nostro agio. Si consiglia la visita, noi ci ritorneremo!

Très bon restaurant, service agréable. Les serveurs parlent français et s'occupent bien de vous. Prix moyen 10-15€ (poissons frais).Je recommande les Brochettes de poulpe et crevettes.

Buen lugar acogedor con terraza interior, limpio, camareros atentos, la carne muy buena, los spaghettis a la boloñesa no tanto. Tened cuidado los españoles acostumbrados a las tapas, ya que un problema es que te ponen entrantes (pan, mantequilla, paté, aceitunas y zanahoria) sin que los pidas y son muy muy caros. Decid que no los queréis por qué son unos 20 euros de más entre todo.

My partner and I decided to eat at what appeared from the outside to be a fine seafood restaurant on an evening last week.
I ordered salmon whilst he ordered steak and chips.
The establishment’s decor was somewhat questionable, but we didn’t let this out us off.
What did put us off was the food. I had no problem with my salmon, however the steak and chips was not what we expected. Instead of serving the finest sirloin on a plate, with a handful of freshly cut chips, my partner received a bowl with a bit of rubber and a packet of crisps swimming in some kind of soup.
The high edges of the bowl meant it was very difficult to cut the rubber, and the crisps went soggy very quickly. Staff were unhelpful in attempting to explain why the meal was served with crisps, and not chips, but our hunger prevailed and we got on with eating.
To make matters worse, the crisps were of different flavours. My partner had only tasted plain ready salted crisps at the point we complained, but he started to taste salt and vinegar (which doesn’t go with this steak) and even a stray BBQ pulled pork (which really didn’t go with this steak).
My partner only manages to eat a small portion of his rubber before sending it back, refusing any alternative they offered. We didn’t pay for his meal in the end, and shan’t be returning.

O serviço fui bom. A comida sem sabor, típico espanhol. Pelo menos, tinha piripiri. Der Service war gut. Das Essen war leider zuwenig gewürz, typisch spanisch, eigentlich schade, da wir ja in Portugal sind, wo das essen eigentlich schmecken sollte
Wenigstens hatte es piripiri, zum nachwürzen.

Haben ein Angebot von dem Stopper vor dem Restaurant gewählt,Mittags 13Uhr,Hähnchen mit Beilage,totaler Flop.
Fleisch war aufgewärmt vom Vortag,trocken,nicht zu genießen, Pommes ca.10 Stück, 3 Salatblätter.
Lokal an sich sehr schön.
Wären gerne nochmal Abends hin gegangen,so leider nicht.

Don’t go there if you’re vegetarian - paella was a bag of frozen veggies with rice, no taste whatsoever. It was really bland, the same with vegetarian soup. Avoid!

Our first time in Faro, we did say this place since the first day, really nice place and nice atmosphere. My boyfriend want to surprise me in our trip to Faro and on the last night we went to Sol e Jardim restaurant. It was the best date ever, Fabio was our waiter that night and he made our night more special. We did have oysters and mussels, he did pick the mussels from the aquarium, he showed it to us and then served them. As a meal we did have lobster, it was amazing it came with rice and sea food... Very special place

Atendimento péssimo, são aproveitadores de turistas que não conhecem valores, eu como já trabalhei em restaurante conheço os valores e pratos em Portugal, para turistas que querem conhecer um local bom e que querem uma experiência com a culinária portuguesa não indico o restaurante

Malheureusement mauvaise expérience,
Service aimable mais un peu lent, assiette pas terrible du tout (grasse et peu goutue). Peut être est ce parce que nous étions hors saison et qu'il y avait très peu de client.
En tout cas c'est l'endroit où j'ai le moins bien mangé durant mes 4 jours à Faro. Ils peuvent sans doute faire beaucoup mieux :)

This restaurant was the culinary highlight of our visit to Faro. The staff were some of the most attentive and helpful we have come across anywhere. While mainly a sea food restaurant, there are plenty of other dishes to sample. While my wife is a fish eater, I can personally voch for the proper steak and the amazing turkey steak. If you like high quality food at very reasonable prices, you must check this place out. If it's warm don't forget to ask to be seated in the garden area at the rear. The atmosphere there us amazing. So glad we found this place early in our visit to Faro. We made it our go to place for our last meal. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

La salle de restaurant sous une arcade donnant sur un patio. Très agréable pour y manger. Nous avons pris la formule touriste à 12€ par personne, entré, plat, dessert et café. Très correct. De plus un serveur parle bien le francais. Ce qui facilite le choix du plat.

La atención muy buena, pero la comida deliciosa, riquísima, abundante muy muy recomendable. Nos abrieron un domingo que no trabajan porque fuimos con un grupo de senderismo, eramos 32 y el servicio fué muy bueno. Nos pusieron para repetir y el postre también estaba muy rico.

The restaurant is in the centre of the city which suggests that it is a place more for tourist. The food is fine but with more research and a little walk you can find cheaper and much better food. I took the fried octopus which wasn't fried but I supposed they meant stir-fried.

Oh this restaurant took our breath away. Friendly attentive staff who on entry explained all dishes in English making it so inviting & not disappointed. I had fish spaghetti with all kinds of fish couldn't name them all. The desert was so tasty not too sweet the fig blend was lovely. Cheesecake light & refreshing. Clean fresh & very reasonable in price. Thank you for your hospitality.

We sat in the shaded walled garden at the back of the restaurant to get away from the heat and direct sun. Menu was extensive and the food was tasty, but not exceptional, although the grilled sardines looked superb, worth a visit.

Soooo delicious and the price is astonoshingly moderate for the quality! We paid 22 euro for a topped up glass of wine, a beer, and two extra-tasty main dishes :D Our favorite dish was a Chicken potato pan.

Didn't get my order at all. My husband ordered his and mine together but the waiter forgot about it. We waited more than 30 mins to get the food just to learn at the end the waiter forgot my order. When we paid for bill, they didn't return the full change. The food is very expensive for the portion and quality you get. I don't recommend it!

Looks good on the surface, but basically a ripoff for dumb tourists. Bacalhau a bras (salted cod with onion and egg) was mostly onion and egg with a small fragment of cod every 3rd or 4th forkful. Medium beer is 4 Euros, 2x the price of a large beer 3 minutes away. To be avoided if possible.

Ho mangiato bene, qui in Portogallo la gente è molto cordiale e gentile. Squisite le carote all'aglio. Il menù turistico da 11euro è completo e abbondante, si può scegliere tra carne o pesce. Le insalate molto sfiziose e ricche. Nessuna sorpresa con il conto finale. Come nel resto del paese la manutenzione generale lascia desiderare.

Great little restaurant, food and service first class. Hubbie had monkfish and prawn kebab which he stated was amazing, it certainly looked it. I had a feta salad which was delicious. Fresh bread, olives to begin. Huge glasses of red wine. Mr Cavaco brilliant waiter....we would definitely recommend and would go back in a minute...

Sardinhas were little and dry. The mixed grill, was made with only cheap meat and very little portion. The tune salades was drained in olive oil.The bife with mushrooms was dry, but portion was ok. People were friendly, no complaints there.

Dejo claro que la amabilidad del camarero ha estado muy bien y por este señor no me levanté y me retiré.
Pero , que entre la hormiga en la ensalada y que los moscones que se te metían en los platos ,,,,, me ha dado mucho asco.
Creo que los wc debería de hacerles una reforma porque deja mucho que desear

Para salir del paso cuando no hay otra opción. Comida muy mediocre y orientada para extranjeros. Nada de comida tradicional bien hecha. Lo del jardín es un cuento. Es un techo de chapa al fondo adornado con muchas plantas y macetas.

Una trampa para turistas. El jardin no es tal jardin. El servicio lentisimo. La comida de poca calidad. Mientras comiamos observamos 3 reclamaciones de clientes por "errores" en la cuenta.
