Good restaurant with a view just over the market. The owner is very friendly and the food is very good. Totally kids friendly, with draw kits and kids menu. They also pin their draw on the wall of Fame of drawing. Great experience here.

Licht und Schatten. Mittags war alles super, Essen, Service, Ausblick. Ein paar Tage später waren wir zum Abendessen dort. Auf der Straße wurden wir von Frauen angesprochen das Restaurant zu besuchen. Hätten wir es nicht gekannt, wir wären nicht rein gegangen. Die Fischplatte war lieblos gestapelt, das Publikum merkwürdig. Vielleicht nochmal auf ein Glas Wein.

Un super bon plan.
La cuisine est de très bonne qualité et les quantités astronomiques. Pour un prix très correct. Le service est sympathique et accueillant. Il y a même eu une attention particulière pour l'anniversaire de mon mari.
Nous le conseillons franchement.

We tried this restaurant for lunch and we were not disappointed. We'd normally not spend so much on lunch, but for seafood it was a good deal. We both enjoyed the mixed seafood grill plate for two. (28 euro) It came out quickly and was hot and delicious. The food was seasoned well and we devoured everything. Very nice portion size and serving for the money. I'd recommend and return. There's a great view from the roof top, nice and cozy indoor seating/heating as well. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained.

The first time I went to Marè, was for a friend's birthday. I loved the view, the food and location oh and the people very friendly. It is mainly fish and meat restaurant , but you can also find vegetarian option.

What a disappointment amazing setting on the rooftop second floor of the fishmarket lovely location with the sun, unfortunately the food was terrible the octopus was overcooked, burger lacked flavour when complained they reduced the bill and removed octopus from Bill, lovely staff unfortunately they could do better in the kitchen

Das Essen war ein Gedicht, jeder Bissen war ein Gaumenschmaus!!! Jeden Tag fangfrischer Fisch von lokalen Fischern!!! We had xmas day lunch on the gorgeous rooftop overlooking the marina and sea. The food was fairly good i had cappachio and started with the shrimp soup which only had one shrimp in .. it was good though. My son had a mega burger which he said was very good . Overall we enjoyed it....especially the cheeky seagull !

Nice spot for an afternoon drink! The bar overlooks the marina and the ocean, making it perfect for relaxing. The coffee is the same you find in most places in Portugal, arabica beans, burnt, and bitter. It's a disappointment really, but this is the standard around here... That said, I can't really fault this place too much as the service was prompt and while we didn't have any food, a neighbouring table ordered some seafood that looked out of a dream!

We had a lovely family meal here. 3 ordered a la carte, 3 of us took the grill buffet (fish and meat grilled fresh to order plus a range of salads. The staff were all attentive and our girls were nicely fussed over having coloured in their menus. In short: highly recommended.

Lecker und traumhafte Aussicht.
Der Chef kommt aus Deutschland, trotzdem ist das Essen eher thailändisch angehaucht. Es gibt jeden Abend neben Essen A-La-Carte auch ein All-You-Can-Eat Buffet mit diversem Fisch, Fleisch, Gemüse, Salate etc. Fisch und Fleisch wird individuell und frisch zubereitet. Echt lecker uns vielseitig. Aber auch die Gerichte von der Karte sind super lecker. Der Chef kümmert sich mit um den Service und ist wie das Personal sehr freundlich Alles ist preislich über dem Durchschnitt aber durchaus angemessen.
Die Aussicht kostet nicht extra ist aber ein Traum, sofern man einen Tisch am Rande der Dachterrasse ergattern kann.

The worst service ever. More than 20 mins to bring a cup of hot water and a teabag. There were 3 waitresses and very few visitors (3 tables). How long does it take you to boil water. Very rude, arrogant and agressive stuff. I don't recommend this place

Nette Bedingung, entsprechende Preise für Lagos, das Essen an sich super nur teils etwas viel Mayonnaise in den Salaten. Darum nur 4 Sterne aber an sich wirklich zu empfehlen und Highlight ist die Aussicht und, wenn es statt findet, der Grill Abend !!

Super Essen, nette freundliche Bedienung, Deutscher Chef aus Oberfranken, hier gibt es auch Salate die schon super mariniert sind und nicht nur wie in Südlichen Ländern üblich eine Schüssel Grünzeug und Essig und Öl auf dem Tisch. Fantastische Aussicht über den Hafen.

Wir hatten das Fisch- und Fleischbuffet für 19,90. 5 verschiedene Fisch- und Fleischangebote. Alles frisch gegrillt mit verschiedenen Salaten. Ich fand es ganz gut und das Preis - Leistungsverhältnis ist absolut in Ordnung für All you can eat. Auch die Burger sind gigantisch und sehr gut.

Been here a couple of times now. Great location on top of the fish market in Lagos. Excellent views over the marina and over the river towards Meia Praia. Modem bar / restaurant, reasonably priced and good food. Both times we have eaten here we've gone for the buffet menu - €20 for whatever you can eat from the buffet. Plenty of meat / fish choices all cooked to order on the BBQ. Lots of salad and fruit as well, just keep going back to get X whatever you want. Children are usually discounted and the staff are very friendly. Our kids really like this restaurant and I'm sure we'll visit again when we're next in Lagos.

Amazing views out across the Lagos marina but the service was desultory. Our Swiss burger was brilliant, however the salad was swamped in a dressing and the lettuce was gritty. And, if the menu says french fries, don't serve tasteless crinkle cut chips that no amount of salt can rescue.

An excellent restaurant. I've been several times and always found the service to be friendly and efficient. The staff are always welcoming and the prices are surprisingly affordable given the prime location. The food has been consistently good across a variety of different dishes ranging traditional portugese fish dishes to burgers and and asian influced meals. I will definately be returning.

Einmal durch die geschäftlichen Markthalle durch, zwei Etagen nach oben und dann??? WOWWWW!!!!! Ein Restaurant über den Dächern von Lagos! Ein Schattenplatz und dann kommt das Essen. A glamorous restaurant with tasteless food. The portions are huge but in terms of quality, what's up? We ordered burgers, the cheapest and easiest on the menu (12 euros) and the burgers were a bad joke. We were super relieved we didn't purchase for a lot more. The place isn't worth the bad service and lack of commitment towards the customers. Zero passion, from the kitchen to the waiters.

Zufällig sind wir über das Restaurant bei einem Markbesuch gestolpert, beim anschauen der Speisekarte wurden wir auf Nachfragen gleich auf deutsch sehr gut beraten worauf wir uns einen Tisch für ein paar Tage später für das Buffet reservierten. Spontan entschieden wir uns noch das Tagesessen mittags zu essen. Es war super lecker und der Service sehr organisiert und zuvorkommend. Wir freuen uns schon auf unseren letzen Abend im Mare.

Ok, die Lage und die Aussicht sind top aber:Das all-you-can-eat Angebot können wir nicht empfehlen! Die Beilagen Pommes und Reis kamen als wir noch Salat hatten und waren dann zu den Hauptspeisen kalt, der angebotene Fisch und das Fleisch trieften vor Fett. Die Krönung war dann der "Duft" auf deren Herrentoilette.Sorry aber ein Mindestmaß an Sauberkeit muss sein.

Attirés par la formule barbecue à volonté nous nous sommes laissés tentés par Mare. Finalement une formule barbecue commandée et un plat de moules cuisinées. Si les moules étaient bonnes, la formule quant à elle n est pas à retenir : beaucoup de choses manquaient dans ce qui était annoncé... Un peu cher au final pour quelques morceaux de poulet au barbecue. Préférez les commandes à la carte et laissez vous tenter par leurs cocktails qui sont excellent !

Contrairement à la première impression, ce n'est pas un piège à touristes. Le personnel est très sympathique et attentionné. Les viandes et poissons au grill sont tous aussi bons les uns que les autres et vous pourrez manger avec une belle vue sur la marina. Bref à faire les yeux fermés.

Su atención maravillosa
Su carta muy estensa y muy rica. Hemos provado varios platos y todos ellos muy abundantes y muy sabrosos. Recomiendo el queso de cabra caramelizado. Espectacular.
El servicio es inmejorable. Sus camareros son muy buenos en su trabajo y muy atentos.
Los días que hemos estado en lagos a sido nuestro restaurante para cenar. Tienen unas vistas impresionantes.
La pena es que ya sólo nos queda un día. Y seguro que lo echaremos de menos.
Os lo recomiendo sin lugar a duda.

Delicious food and friendly service with lovely views over the bay. We had tuna carpaccio, garlic prawns, salmon and octopus; all of which tasted very good and we really enjoyed it. I asked for medium rare salmon (as advised by another reviewer) and it was cooked to perfection. Such a relaxed vibe to this restaurant. Later on, we were given little blankets by the manager when the wind had picked up - a lovely touch. I would recommend ordering from the A la Carte menu if eating here and pre-book one of the high tables with a view.

ESPECTACULAR. Sitio con unas vistas increíbles. Puedes ver todo el puerto de la ciudad y parte de la siguiente ciudad.
Personal encantador que no te agobia y te hace sentir muy bien. Nosotros pedimos la opción del menú de 2 personas por 28 euros los dos. Nos pusieron atún, salmón, gambones, pulpo y otros, además de una ensalada para cada uno, todo ello con verduras salteadas (pimiento, calabacín, pepino, tomate...) . La cervezas Sagres muy buena por 3,5.
Dado el nivel gastronómico de la ciudad, creemos que es de los mejores sitios para comer y tomar algo TRANQUILAMENTE, sin agobios por parte de los camareros y disfrutar de la ciudad.

Sitio precioso, precio un poco caro y a quien no le guste la verdura es mejor que no vaya ya que todo va mezclado con verduras varias. La comida de muy buena calidad y esquisita pero los postres no me gusto ninguno (de los que pedimos).

Salmon & prawn duo was spectacular looking. Quite tasty. I don't cook our salmon all the way through so I found it a tad on the dry side. Wish I had remembered to ask for it medium.Keep that in mind when ordering. hubby had Chicken cordon bleu & he was happy with his meal.

- Öftere Nachfrage vom Chef ob alles in Ordnung ist.
- Mehrsprachige Speisekarte.

Very nice place to eat and the atmosphere is great. Best view in town. You can see beaches, the marina and most of Lagos'smain street from above. Live music, house specialities and very nice staff. The owner will come and have a chat with you and you have no care. 5 stars.

Enjoyed the buffet on a Saturday evening with 4 adults and 4 children. Service personnel was great, the view on the harbour is amazing and the buffet was rich and tasty, high quality seafood, too.

Ein toller Blick über Lagos, Buffet war sehr lecker und auch wenn es nicht der Grund für einen Urlaub in Portugal ist....da gibt es neben regionaler und internationaler Küche den besten Kartoffelsalat den ich je hatte :)

We have eaten here several times now and it has always been a great experience. The location on the roof of the market building gives it stunning views across Lagos Bay, the beaches and the old town. Perfect place for sundowners, lunch or supper. The hanging seafood skewer is awesome and a house speciality. Good service in a relaxed vibe has always been our experience. For sure one of the better places to dine in Lagos.

В ресторане оказались по чистой случайности и были приятно удивлены. Множество свежайших рыбных блюд, хорошая коктельная карта. Прекрасный вид на Лагош. Меню не самое дешевое, но качество блюд превосходное. Порции довольно большие. Не слишком людно, однако иногда заезжают туристические группы. Персонал внимательно прислушивается к пожеланиям и точно их выполняет. Место очень понравилось.

Einen großen Dank an das Personal und vorallem an die Zauberer in der Küche.Wundervolles Essen, geschmacklich super abgestimmt einfach nur ein Traum. Das ganze bei toller Kulisse.Der Caramelisierte Ziegenkäse als Vorspeise hat uns total verzaubert aber auch die Hauptspeise war ein Traum leider konnten wir keine Nachspeise mehr essen da die portionen echt riesig sind.Wir werden wohl nochmal kommen müssen.

Wir waren spontan dort und haben es keine Sekunde bereut! Ein ganzer Topf voller Fisch samt Beilagen und Salat für 28€ (siehe Bild/für 2 Personen) der einfach nur gut geschmeckt hat. Das Angebot galt für Freitag, sonst kostet das Gericht 34€ was aber auch völlig okay ist.
Man hat einen super Ausblick über den Hafen von Lagos und das Personal waren zum Großteil deutsche, sodass die Kommunikation recht einfach verlaufen ist. Sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend! Beim nächsten Besuch in Lagos kommen wir sehr gerne wieder vorbei!

Cuisine excellente , avec des produit frais et locaux . Propose aussi un wok a volonté avec des produits frais le soir .
Le tout avec une vue magnifique sur le port et la baie de Lagos, de jour comme de nuit.
Service irréprochable multilingues. Serveurs dynamique souriant et très agréable .
Ambiance très moderne . Le tout pour un prix très raisonnable, environs 20€/pers avec plat + dessert + boissons .

lange wartezeit (aber wir wurden darauf hingewiesen), kein problem.
von 6 gerichten 1 vergessen, 1 falsche beilage, bedienung etwas langsam. spätestens bei dem vergessenen gericht hätte ich gedacht das man zur entschädigung ein getränk auf's haus bekommt.....
ansonsten zu empfehlen!

All you can eat incluso pesce. Non vi aspettate chissà cosa, il costo è i 20 euro a persona. Le porzioni di pesce sono : porzione di tonno e di salmone (molto piccoli), gamberetti e pesce spada alla griglia. Ovviamente la frequenza con la quale vengono messe sulla griglia quelle porzioni sono molto basse. I vari contorni non sono comunque male.

This has got to be the most awful restaurant experience I've ever had! The "sea skewer" we ordered was completely rubbery and dry, the sauce is the cheapest you can find, and the dish tasted horrible. I let the staff know I would not pay for it, because all I ate was a sample of each fish, and every one of them were completely dry and horrible. The first waiter agreed with me and took the food out apologising.
Another waiter came along and said she tasted my dish and said it was "fine"??!!! And that I had to pay for it. They didn't offer me something else to eat, but demanded I payed! I refused! The owner came after a while and told me to go home to my country, shouting and screaming that I had to pay the bill, or else he would call the police. I told him the first waiter agreed with me, but he just kept on calling me names and shouting.
Never, EVER! Set your foot in this restaurant if you enjoy good food, service or being treated with respect!

We went to take advantage of the open grill which was good value, if you have an appetite. The normal menu looks interesting if slightly more expensive than some other places but the view is outstanding. The staff are attentive and the food is well cooked and the salads are kept well stocked. The house red wine was superb, slipped down much too easily. The music is a wonderful eclectic mix and added to our enjoyment.

First see all that fish in the market hall then relax at Mare. If you get a place at the wall you have a beautiful sight.
The vine is very good, staff is friendly.
