To be fair there are many Cssa de Figueiras in Portugsl. Directions provided took us many kilometers in the wrong direction.

The house was provided with everything we needed for the week the garden was beautiful every morning the beds were folded by the house maid to leave no mess .the paintings of such fascinating creatures were designed on the walls the antiques on display and the pool was heated perfectly although it was fairly deep that no body could simply pass the steps.Overall the house was magnificent and I reccomend staying over for a holiday

This villa is truly as wonderful as the description, photos, and other reviews describe it to be. We can’t decide if the best feature is the location, the gardens and pool, or the comfortable home. As the description indicates, the villa is only a few (truly a FEW – maybe two or 3) minute walk to the beach. There’s a wide sandy beach with umbrella and chair rentals, a watersport rental hut, and towering cliffs on one end. Adjacent to the beach is a strip of small restaurants which serve a variety of food as well as drinks (Sangria seems to be a specialty). Another couple of minutes away by foot is the village, with additional restaurants, a grocery store, etc. The gardens and pool are every bit as beautiful as the photos show them to be. The grounds are so peaceful with the birds singing and the lovely & fragrant flowers. The house was well-appointed yet comfortable. There was plenty of space for the five in our party to be together, or have some private time. The bedrooms are large and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a few dinners at home. Amelia not only does a fantastic job with the housekeeping, it was also helpful to have her available to answer questions. We could have easily spent the entire week just relaxing at the villa, OR on the beach, OR sightseeing in the Algarve. All were equally inviting, but we did a combination in order to experience as much as possible. We took the train from Lisbon to Lagos (with a transfer in Tunes), then a ~10 € taxi ride from Lagos to Luz. We easily could have managed the entire week without a car, but we decided to rent one midweek to do some additional sightseeing. We drove to Sagres for sunset one night, and spent one day in Almancil with a stop in Porches (at a pottery shop). We also took the cliff walk from Luz to Lagos, and did a kayak tour of the grottoes (highly recommended). Overall, I can’t think of a better place to spend a holiday.
