Gorgeous beach! All soft sand and lovely clear sea. There is a few different cafes and restaurants for drinks, lunch or ice creams. Also there are public toilets. Only downside was the shower wasnt working
Fantastic rooms. Very clean, modern and spacious. Not too keen on reception area, pool and breakfast area. But that didn't bother me as I don't use them.
Immediate area outside needs a bit of work, lots of potholes and forced to walk on road initially and poor footpaths if heading toward town. Not an huge issue and nothing to do with hotel but worth considering if elderly or not good on your feet.

La femme de ménage ne faisait pas très bien le ménage , la salle de bain nétait Pratiquement jamais faite. Les sommiers à ressort sont à changer je pense , mal de dos insupportable le lendemain. Personnel de la réception sont agréables et à l’écoute.

Zojuist teruggekomen van Luna Alvor Bay. Mooi zeezicht, uitstekend! Gratis parkeren en erg schone studio’s. Dat is het zeker waard. Nu de mindere punten een keiharde matras/bed en jammer van de rioollucht die je elke avond ruikt en na 5 min warm water op tijdens het douchen.
Omgeving is prima, loopafstand naar centrum. Alvor is een kleine dorp, maar verwacht geen grote centrum en veel winkels.

Nettes Appartment befindwt sich in Strandnähe. Von aussen siebziger Jahre Charme, von innen aber sehr schön eingerichtet und sauber. Der Strand unmittelbar vor dem Hotel ist aufgrund von Bauarbeiten z.Z. nicht nutzbar. Aber 10 Minuten zu Fuss gibt es die schönsten Buchten an der Algarve. Wir hatten einen Leihwagen, was unbedingt empfehlenswert ist.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Seeblick und Balkon. Im Umfeld stehen einige ähnliche Hochhäuser, die auf den Hotelbildern entweder noch nicht gebaut waren oder herausretuschiert(?) wurden. Trotzdem ein netter Ausblick. Kurzer Fahrt mit dem Auto oder Spaziergang (10-15 min) ins Zentrum von Alvor, wo es diverse nette Restaurants, vor allem oberhalb des kleinen Hafens gibt. Das Zimmer war mit Küchenzeile ausgestattet, die wir jedoch nicht genutzt haben. Das WLAN war etwas schwach. Pool sah gut aus, haben wir aber wegen der Jahreszeit/des Wetters nicht genutzt. Ebenso das Frühstück.

Nice and quiet ( ie civilised )
Handy for beach and buses.
5-10 minutes easy walk into Alvor town.
Could do with a better bar atmosphere at night.
A bit of music and cosier set up of furniture would give the customers a reason to stay at night rather than just football on the tv.
We love to chat and not be drowned out by hysterical sports comentators
Not everyone loves sport.
That said, I WOULD return to this hotel as the room and staff were excellent.

Very late admission to rooms. 4pm. You really just want to get in your room having had a long journey 4pm very late.
Room cleaning on following days is until 5.30 so getting back into your room during the day can be difficult.
Forgotten items as in the information. Asked for sewing kit to be told we do have them but don’t have any. Nothing offered
Problems with card keys not working well several times waited 30 minutes to speak to a member of staff to be quite rudely asked have you had the card by your mobile phone
Breakfast was excellent can’t fault it. Rooms clean after serviced

This was a great find, we had booked somewhere else and left, looked what was available and booked this heavenly place to stay .... it is quiet, wasnt many kids and seemed to cater for the older person.Its very clean, air con in the rooms and staff are great ... I would highly recommend here for anyone.

This is a fabulous place to stay and I would highly recommended anyone to stay here ..... it's clean, modern and new, the staff are friendly and the location is central. It's honestly 4-5 minutes to the beach and similar to shops and restaurants.
If you're looking to party it's not the place for you but if you want a nice relaxing holiday in a nice place that's very reasonable look no further!
10/10 in my opinion ....

The hotel is in excellent location a few steps away from Praja de Alvor and less then 10 minutes walk from the charming fishing village of Alvor. It's adult only so it's a quiet place to unwind and relax. The pool area is well equipped with sunbeds and parasols. There's a bar serving light snacks and reception is 24/7. Loved the room, we had sea side view. Spacious, huge comfy bed, hdmi TV, kitchen with appliances and full size fridge, plenty of storage, table, chairs and balcony. Everything working properly, all comforts including iron and hairdrier. We booked with breakfast and it didn't disappoint, everything you'd like, plenty of choice. Air con and free wifi working all over the property. I would definitely recommend it and happily return.

Stayed here in august. Lovely clean hotel. Staff were always helpful and polite. Breakfast is a bit of a hit and miss. Some mornings when we went for breakfast certain breakfast items would not be available Ie no eggs one morning, no tomatos another morning, no spoons or knifes and forks, no cups, no bread rolls. There seems to be enough staff working but on several occasions while I was here this was my experience.

This hotel is great and the location is perfect! Very close to the beach. I am giving this score because the room smells a lot of tobacco. This room is for non smokers so they should have done something about it. I ask them in the reception to try to do something. But they only used a spray on the first day. Didn't solve anything. For you guys, please respect the places were you can't smoke. These rooms have balconies with ashtrays. There's no need to smoke indoor.
About the breakfast, it's ok. Regular for a 3 stars hotel.
About the WiFi, well it's free but don't count it to be very fast. Things like YouTube won't work smoothly.

Room was very clean, personal interested and the atmosphere was very pleasent. The breakfast buffet had a big variety of products.
What was missing for 5 stars:
* coffe was not good
*The personal could drop off private jokes in front of clients.
*room service could avoid slamming doors.
I wish more portuguese products were offered. This is a great way of promotion of national brands.
I would come again.

El sitio esta muy bien situado, esta bien la habitacion con cocina para ir a tu aire, la cocina esta completamente equipada con una nevera-congelador de gran tamaño, horno, microondas y vitroceramica. Tiene cazuelas, vasos, tazas, sartenes , en conclusion muy bien equipada.
Lo bueno del piso 11 son las vistas al mar (que son mas caras) y lo malo es que la presión del agua es ridicula, sale de manera intermitente y variado la temperatura, te estas duchando y te sale un chorro de agua fria. El desayuno buffet es bueno pero escaso. El servicio muy lento y descuidado. Nos sentamos a comer en una mesa y tuve que preguntar yo si nos podian dar de comer después de estar esperando 20 minutos a que nos atendiese alguien (estabamos SOLOS en la sala, ya sé el porque).
El parking es gratis pero pequeño si llegas tarde te quedas sin sitio. No desesperes con el check in ya que se lo toman con calma, nosotros entramos a las 16:30.

Clean and well kept hotel. Nice view and friendly staff. Do not take the two rooms in the middle facing the sea (and the two opposite). These are the smallest. I advise taking the corner ones because they are larger and have a better spatial organization.

Everything was as we would expect and hoped for.
Staff were excellent - the breakfast is vast in terms of choice and great quality.
Some of the furniture in the rooms is a little tired (if you are a whinger) but useable and absolutely ok for us but some may choose to disapprove.
I feel guilty for mentioning the above but at least whingers are forewarned and I am being fair and honest.
Cleanliness was excellent also.
Lovely treatment of my partner for her birthday - a big thank you for that
Our transfer did not turn up but that is not the hotels fault as it was not in any way connected to the hotel, however, the hotel helped us out by calling us a taxi - thank you so much ☺️

Un hotel tranquilo, como todo Alvor, y muy bien situado. A pocos metros de la playa y con una piscina que está bastante bien.
El parking es limitado y si llegas un poco tarde te quedas sin sitio, aunque hay muchas zonas de aparcamiento frente al hotel.
En recepción te atienden perfectamente en español

Hotel is in an excellent location with just a few minutes stroll to the beach and ten minutes to the centre where you will find fabulous places to eat and drink. Rooms are clean and well equipped with comfy beds and good size fridge/freezer. Breakfast offers lots of choices from cooked to cold selection and is delicious. Staff in the bar, restaurant and room cleaning were all lovely.

I give this place 5 stars for its location, cleanliness and friendly staff. The pool area is small but with the magnificent beach only 100 yards away we didn't use it anyway. There did always seem to be a bed available if you wanted one though. We had breakfast in the hotel which was fine. Plenty of choice and variety. There is a Happy Hour in the bar every night with a decent discount on all drinks. And although we didn't see it there was advertising for a few nights of entertainment in the bar. This is our 3rd visit to this hotel and due to the location we will definitely return.

Reservamos este hotel por su buen precio y los comentarios positivos. No nos equivocamos. La habitación era bonita, amplia y con todas las comodidades necesarias. Muy cerca de la playa y con una piscina muy acogedora.
La única pega quizá es que el buffet del desayuno nos pareció escaso de variedad.

A praia ( AZUL) mesmo em frente. Praia muito limpa e organizada .
Estacionamento pequeno, por vezes difícil arranjar sítio.

Unfortnatley the houskeeping service was very bad, in 10 das they never cleaned the floor, the bathroom was barley cleaned too.

It serves the purpose. It's near to the beach and nicely located to the nearby little town. Breakfast is not bad, and the room size is decent. There's even a mini kitchen fully equipped if you want to cook your own food. Zero points though for the shower tough; very slow (not a good pressure) and the shower curtain... Really why??! Why shower curtains in a hotel?! How many people had showers in that bathroom and had their skins touching that sticky shower curtain??!

Great location, clean spacious rooms with great kitchen facilities. Easy walk to town or to the beach. Pool was nice and relaxed with plenty of space. It’s a shame the king size bed was two large singles stuck together, but overall a great stay. Staff were friendly and helpful at all times.

Es la primera vez que voy a un hotel solo adultos ... El concepto es interesante...hay mucho silencio se descansa genial,el estudio es pequeño cocina cama y mesa en el mismo espacio,no hay escoba ..si se te cae algo al suelo es una odisea...pero tiene de todo Tipo de utensilios para salir del paso las almohadas muy cómodas el aire acondicionado funcionaba genial
Fue el cumpleaños de mi pareja y tuvieron un bonito detalle con el,cava y pastel.
Hemos pagado 490€por tres noches solo alojamiento...un poco caro para los servicios recibidos...limpian cada 3 dias Dos ascensores para 12 plantas, una piscina con las amacas pegadas entre ellas con poco espacio...nos toco el segundo piso con vistas al parking...el agua sale con muy poca presión....
Pero en general bien.

Extremely friendly staff, who are super helpful. Hotel has all the basic amenities and the breakfast had really good selection. However I think we just came in the wrong time as there was a local festival so it was a bit noisy, and hotel would benefit from an extra elevator or two (there are only 2 for a 12 floor building).

Second time in Alvor and the weather is awful again. This self catering hotel is great though. Everything you need including a dishwasher! Oh no! Had to clear out two kitchen drawers for underwear etc. Wifi works too and you can buy breakfast/snacks if you wish. Glad I brought a brolly! ☔

We found the hotel clean, the staff were friendly and no sign of people saving pool beds, there were plenty. We had a complimentary bottle of fizz and cake sent to our room for a birthday which was a nice surprise.The only problem we found was not the hotel or staff but unreasonable guests smoking in the adjoining room, with the smoke coming through into our room through air con, who refused to adhere to hotel rules and regs. As a result the hotel moved us into another room and were extremely apologetic.

Nice rooms, awful staff, disgusting food, rude staff, rude receptionist, bad location and no hospitality. Everything you want they charge you. You want to charge your phone with their charger? 15 euros and you don’t get to keep the charger. You want new towels? 1.5 euros a towel otherwise cleaning is every 3 days. You want to print something? 2 euros per page. I really didn’t like this place. You can find something nice elsewhere.

Second time staying at Luna Alvor Bay. Hotel is clean, staff are very nice and would certainly recommend to anyone considering staying here. Would however suggest requesting a corner room as they are bigger and if wanting a seaview room requesting one on the higher floors for a good view.

Buenas vistas porque nos dieron habitación alta. Muy tranquilo. Lo peor la limpieza. Muy escasa. Al ser un apartamento podrían dejar una escoba o fregona por si algo se vierte. La equipación de platos, vasos y cubiertos muy escasa, apenas dos platos de cada y dos tazas,lo que impide que puedas utilizar el lavavajillas. Lo lavas a mano.
El resto muy bien equipado.

Do not believe the pictures!! there are several buildings in front of this hotel and two other hotels in front of the Luna. Each room has a kitchen in the bedroom which would have been ok but the kitchens smell awful from other people cooking before you, yuck! Best part was the beach as you walk out go left! great bistro and rent the chairs for half or whole day! VALENTINOs Pizza and Pasta is excellent!! Homecooked food!!

In 5min ist man am Sandstrand. Top Lage. Saubere Zimmer. Besonders freundliches Hotelpersonal. Nur Klimaanlage ist zu laut. Wir waren im 7. Stock und hatten eine super Aussicht. Es lohnt sich den Aufpreis für Meerblick zu bezahlen.

Our apartment was amazing on the 12th floor. It was clean, modern and had a huge balcony. The room was cleaned and beds made up every day. Fresh towels and linen every 3rd day. All the staff we encountered were friendly and even though we had a self catered holiday they catered for us in every way possible in a polite and professional manner. I can't speak for the food in the restaurant as I didn't have any but the bar knocks out some seriously good cocktails. The pool area is clean and quiet but it's a bit small. Saying that, we didn't have any trouble getting sun beds. The beach and Alvor town are only a stone throw away too so Luna Alvor Bay has everything you would want in a holiday destination. I would definitely recommend it and would return myself in the future.

Rooms are basic but have kitchen which is well equipped. The whole place was spotlessly clean and staff were good too.

Great location to explore the Western Algarve and its natural areas. Hotel has a good position and beautiful beaches nearby. The boardwalks are perfect to see the nature dunes and stroll into the Village. The village has good restaurants and facilities. All aspects of the hotel we found to be really good including the good value and varied breakfast..... Great staff ....

Nous avons passé un super séjour. Portimao, est une ville très bien située, car point central pour sillonner les routes de lalgarve.Notre hotel était super, personnel très accueillant et serviable, chambres impeccables, petit déjeuner buffet super.Nous avons passé plusieurs soirées dans le centre de Portimao.. Really enjoyed my stay in this hotel, rooms are always cleaned to a high standard. Our room came with everything we needed, like a built in hairdryer, microwave, fridge, kettle etc. The higher your room the better your veiw is likely to be.
Only had a few issues with this hotel, and none of them particulaly major complaints. All lights in the hallway are on a timer or sensor of some sort, which makes sense to save power, but the mechanical click to turn them on or off drives you a little crazy.. Didnt get a chance to sit by the pool as there weren't many sunbeds, and many people reserve them with towels for the whole day but the beach is about a 5 minute walk.

La difficulté à communiquer le personnel ne parle pas un mot de Français et lensemble des occupants à 90% est Anglais donc cest la langue parlé dans lhôtel comme presque partout en Algarve jenvisageais lachat dun appartement mais cela ma refroidi je tiens pas à vivre comme si jétais en GB pour le reste le pays est charmant et il y a de joli coin à découvrir

No me dejaron entrar en el parking hasta después de hacer el check-in. La habitación tenía mal el aire, cuatro veces entraron los de mantenimiento pero sólo funcionaba una media hora. Por un snack de hamburguesa, lasaña y ensalada nos cobraron 30€.Para llegar al pueblo hay que cruzar descampados de tierra.No te dejan entrar hasta las 16 hora local y salir a las 11 horas.

Una maravilla en relación calidad/precio. Los apartamentos son una pasada, con todo tipo de electrodomésticos, incluso lavavajillas. Las camas comodísimas, y una balconada tipo terraza ideal para comer y cenar, con su mesa y sillas y todo. La habitación con vistas al mar y aire acondicionado. Tele con varios canales. Lo mejor, al ladito de la playa de Alvor, es cruzar la carretera, caminar por un paseo de madera y ya estás. La piscina, aunque no muy grande, llega de sobra, y al no permitir la entrada de familias con hijos, el silencio es total. El personal muy amable también.

Nos alojamos una semana en este hotel y encontramos arañas y gusanos en la habitacion. Limpieza fatal, sábanas sucias, encimera de la cocina sucia, colchón incomodisimo, luces que se encienden y se apagan solas... El WiFi va y viene. El peor desayuno de todos los hoteles sin duda. Todos los días lo mismo, sin variedad y sin calidad.

Direkt vor dem Hotel wurde in Blickrichtung auf den Strand ein neues Hotel gebaut, so dass von Mo. - Fr. massiver Baulärm garantiert war. Und das ab morgens um 08:00, bis abends um 18:00Uhr. Des weiteren entsprach der von hotels.com in der Beschreibung angegebene Zimmersafe (Laptopgrösse) weder der Größe (Minisafe), noch war dieser im Zimmerpreis includiert und musste separat bezahlt werden.

Es un hotel correcto nada más. La limpieza no es mala pero se nota que hacen lo imprescindible y rápido. Justo al lado del hotel están construyendo otro por lo que el ruido de las obras es molesto. Nos dijeron que esta obra duraría por lo menos hasta el año que viene. En la playa hace muchísimo viento, es bastante molesto. Tuvimos que ir a otras playas en los alrededores.

El hotel tiene muy buenas instalaciones, con la playa muy cerca, en especial, la de los tres hermanos que es preciosa. Nos mejoraron la habitación cuando llegamos al hotel.Por inconvenientes, se encuentra un poco lejos del pueblo por un camino bastante oscuro si quieres salir a cenar andando.

Just very dirty rooms. I marked dirty towels and put them in the tub, after cleanings just found them hanging again??!! Spots on the toilet stayed the entire 5 days... other than that worth the money...

Nu de mindere punten een keiharde matras/bed en jammer van de rioollucht die je elke avond ruikt en na 5 min warm water op tijdens het douchen. Omgeving is prima, loopafstand naar centrum. Alvor is een kleine dorp, maar verwacht geen grote centrum en veel winkels.
