Nice owners and has a very large outdoor area with pool. Tuna I had was nice, if not a bit salty and not as spicy as I was expecting.

Quite expensive for a lunch, food was good this time not always been that good, and if you hand anything back the blame is always yours not there's. As we've experienced in the past. The staff are good overall.

Ate here May 2019 on recommendation of a fellow hotel guest. Was not disappointed! Friendly waiters, delicious food, which was very well presented. Would definitely eat here again.

First dined here 5 years ago whilst on holiday. It was close to the Hilton resort in Vilamoura. I returned this year with my wife and two children.
Firstly, it is a bit out of the way for people staying close to the marina, but it is well located for people staying in hotels, apartments and holiday homes in the surrounding area.
Secondly, it is not a fine dining restaurant but it is great tasting food in a very relaxed setting.
We were greeted today by a waiter who made us feel welcome which to be honest is not very common when traveling with young kids. We had a small starter and ordered a chicken dish with cheese sauce, lamb chops and a burger and chicken goujons all with salad and chips. Everyone was happy but my lamb chops were amazing. Just like the steaks I had there 5 years ago, they were cooked perfectly. Very tender and juicy. The chef working the grill is very good. I haven’t tried and fish course there but I will before my holiday ends.
Good food experiences stick in my mind. This place delivered years ago and I’m happy to say it lived up to the memory today.
If you want fine dining in the area there is plenty to choose from. If you’d like something nice at a reasonable price then give this place a shot.

Excellent food, good price, great service.
Not the typical tourist place.
We are in Portugal for 4 days and it was the best food by now.
Comida excelente, a buen precio y un gran servicio. No es el tipico sitio de turistas.

Absolutely love this place! Have been several times and will keep going back! Superb for families or couples. The service is amazing, so friendly and accommodating. The food is always superb too!

Fabulous spot for family. Kids played in pool and on trampoline and mum and dad relaxed and had great meal. Chicken is the best I've ever had

I'm the barman @O Pirata. Drop by without comitment, we have got a cozy, family friendly space with pool open 'till 7pm, trampoline for the youngsters and plenty of room inside if you're feeling cold. Our specials are vegetable coal grill bbq dishes, such as Rebye steak and Monkfish and prawns kebab. My cocktails and wine selection, flawsses! :D we waiting for you

While this is not a Michelin star restaurant it was exactly what I wanted tonight. A decent rounded meal with a palatable bottle of wine. I enjoyed it a lot and the staff were excellent. Lovely guys who couldn't do enough to help.
Highly recommended, surprisingly good for a decent feed.

We have visited the Pirata restaurant several times over the years and find the food is always excellent.
The staff are very attentive especially Fabio ,he reccomends the best dishes and also the best wine .
It’s also very good value for money. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family who are holidaying in Vilamoura.We will be back again.

I would definitely return to O Pirata. Great service from Fabio tonight. I had the special, which was a ribeye steak, it was massive and cooked exactly how I wanted it. Dessert was good too, I had the lemon meringue pie but wish I'd gone for the strawberry cheesecake, which my girlfriend had, as it was even better. Very reasonably priced and it seems like a nice place for various customers as there were families there as well as couple. I'll be back in the future.

Very good food. Service was excellent. Very Reasonably priced for Vilamoura too. Swimming pool is a great idea for the children (or adults!) at a restaurant.
Breakfast is superb as well!

Very lovely sea bass! Waiter was very good, although rushed off his feet so towards end of the meal we were hanging around a little. Otherwise nice venue especially for families and great food. Would certainly recommend and we will return...

Good meal, though the garlic prawns were very expensive- 4 prawns for €8 Is a bit steep. Tuna steak was great as was the fig and sweet potato desert.

Espaço acolhedor para um belo almoço de casal com filhos pequenos podendo usufruir das piscinas e todo o espaço... Couverts, bebidas diversas, 2 pizzas, salada de atum mt boa que surpreendeu, café e gelados... Por menos de 50 euros... E sem o movimento de verão... Excelente qualidade/preço...

Beautiful quiet restaurant with a pool, that has cheap meals and even cheaper drinks. It's one of our usual places to dine.

The food was fabulous, the friendly staff were fabulous and the setting was great. Only downside was the couple who lit up on the table next to us...hate rude smokers!

Delicious dinner had rib eye steak but it was huge no chance of finishing it , it was amazingly tender, lovely staff, it's one of villamouras hidden spots well worth a visit, you will return again and again, it's consistently good

Muy buen producto y preparación. Cada plato es para unos dos comensales, son platos para compartir y acompañar de un entrante para cada 3-4 personas. Buena calidad precio, si compartes el plato principal.

It's the 3rd time I have been and we went for lunch.We had toasted sandwich s and fries it was very good and the surrounding s are with a pool and sun beds if u wanted to stay all day.staff very good and welcoming .We will go back this week for an evening meal.

Wonderful venue, which includes a pool and trampoline for the children to enjoy whilst the adults are eating. Friendly and hospitable staff with very good English. They made us feel very welcome and it seemed as though nothing was too much trouble. The food was well prepared and delivered quickly, but there was no pressure to move on to the next course. The bill was a pleasant surprise considering we had pre dinner drinks, wine with the meal, starters, main and a dessert. I can highly recommend that you try this restaurant, we will be returning.

We went for an evening birthday meal. Staff were attentive, humorous, helpful and friendly. Children were quiet and enjoyed the shallow pool and space. The place has a beautiful ambience. Soft music in the background, lovely choices on the menu and we felt unhurried. We shall return for the delicious food. A pleasantly surprising bill for a great meal.

Fantastic family run restaurant with 2small outdoor pools & trampoline to keep children happy. Highly recommend the clean facilities & food was amazing at really good prices too. Catered for our 5yr old coeliac son no problem with a small steak & rice 1night & a chicken kebab one lunch. Will def come back!

Excellent. Tout est bon, le cadre est très joli avec la piscine, les prix sont très corrects.(65 euros a 5 pour plat et dessert chacun sans les boissons mais soda a 1,50 et grande bière a moins de 3 euros environ). De plus le personnel est très sympa et essaie de parler français. Je recommande cet endroit absolument.

Quality food. Large servings of authentic Portuguese cuisine. Wait staff spoke English and was kind and explained local dishes. Wonderful family atmosphere complete with pool and trampoline.

O Pirata in Vilamoura is a great pool bar to relax and sunbathe with kids. O Pirata has 2 swimming pools and trampoline in a lovely garden setting. The food at O Pirata´s is very reasonable and always well presented and good. Staff are always attentive and very friendly. Well worth a visit to O Pirata´s pool bar and restaurant in Vilamoura

Noisy as hell until well past 1 AM. Absolutely no consideration for the residential environment it is integrated into.
