Crew and passenger safety from the start
It can get cold going out as the boat is fast people were offered coats but not required.
We did see dolphins and crew were very informative
The boat then headed to the coastline visiting caves taking the boat inside the formations and giving us a guide on the various beaches and resorts
We went on the 20 seat boat
There is a supermarket and resteraunt’s at the harbour

Excellent experience! The crew were all great, especially the captain, Pedro. He's funny and a genuinely nice guy! He could tell I couldn't see very well where I was sitting to get any good pics (he saw I had my big camera with me) so he made a point to have me move so I had better photo opportunities. The scenery is so beautiful and it was cool being able to go inside the caves. We didn't see dolphins that day unfortunately but the overall experience was still amazing! I would recommend to everyone!! :)

Great time. Saw the dolphins, if only briefly. Great to see the caves. The captain let me drive the boat for a little while supervised.
Good input from the crew with stories and info.

Nuestro capitan Nuno de Sea Crest increible!! El mar y su experiencia nos dio la oportunidad de visitar todas las cuevas y estar rodeados de delfines en mar abierto. Repetiría sin dudarlo, material limpio y cuidado. Trabajadores encantadores y un guia que ,sin tener porqué, fue haciendo mi traducción en español. Los mejores!!

Agradable tripulación, pasamos una excursión muy divertida, fueron como 2 horas y media y nos costó 30€ por persona, lo malo que el español que hablaban se entendía muy mal. Hizo un día de levante pero se aguantó bien, Hubo 3 personas mareadas que es lo lógico con ese temporal. Vimos delfines y visitamos las cuevas aunque por fuera debido al levante. También es importante que esta embarcación tiene baño!

Dit moet je gedaan hebben. Erg leuk om te doen en leuke mensen die het organiseren. Om dolfijnen te zien moet je een beetje geluk hebben maar de vaartocht op zee en de prachtige kustlijn met grotten zijn het zeker waard!

Complete waste of money. I have been on many boat tours in many countries and this was by far the worst. When we bought tickets we're promised dolphins, which were never even mentioned when we were on board. We were promised a chance to go swimming which we didn't get. We were told my nephew would be able to get a picture "driving" the boat which didn't happen. It was incredibly boring and had very little crew interaction. My family and I just couldn't wait for it to be over. My nephew slept through most of it as he was so bored. There's lots of different boat tours so choose carefully.

Great experience seeing bottlenose dolphins & Great knowledge from narrating from Pedro the captain. He is funny and knows a lot about the dolphins and genuinely respects them, not putting them in danger in any way. The cave tour was also brilliant, taking us into lots of caves along the coast including Benagil cave. The crew know what they are doing and really care about the passengers safety and needs. I Would highly recommend x ride 10/10. Thanks for the experience guys

This was incredible! Even though the dolphins were a bit shy during our trip we still enjoyed the overall experience and would highly recommend anyone else to give them a go. If you're one of those that demands to see a dolphin on a trip like this then do everyone a favour and go to a marine park instead. The crew are superb, knowledgeable and have excellent sense of humours! We'll definitely be seeing the X Ride Algarve crew again next time we visit Albufeira :)

I must qualify this review by stating that I've taken numerous dolphin or whale watching boat trips such as this around Europe. Madeira, Canaries, etc. X-Ride stood out amongst these due to the professionalism and attentive nature of the crew. Even before we boarded the boat it was clear safety was paramount as families with children were lined up and brought on first and seated in positions of maximum safety. Once on board the safety instruction continued but in a humorous and engaging way by Captain Pedro. The tour itself was amazing. It really was the best I've been on. The narration was spot on throughout with detailed explanations of everything we saw. The music on the boat complemented the magic of the sights and sounds. We were lucky enough to see a large school of dolphins on our tour. It was a beautiful experience. These guys deserve 5 stars. Everything was tight. Professional, safe, and fun.

Die Bootstour heute war phänomenal! Der Captain Pedro und seine Crew waren sehr lustig und hatten gute Infos, zudem unglaublich gut am Steuer. Wir haben viele Delphine gesehen, atemberaubend! Dazu wirklich beeindruckende Höhlen befahren. Gerne wieder!

El Tour estuvo genial, tuvimos la suerte de ver los delfines y las calas preciosas, también disfrutamos de un corto baño en alta mar, cuando acabas el tour bajas algo mareado. A escribir algo en contra la actitud de Pedro, de primeras sólo hablaba en inglés y francés, hasta que viendo que no nos hablaba en español varias parejas al comentarlo, se mostró reacio a hablarnos en dicho idioma y pudimos comprobar que dominaba perfectamente la lengua, "nos soltó que hablaría en portugués despacio " y que pusiéramos interés en comprender......que si no nos enterabamos era porque no nos daba la gana. Me parece una actitud chulesca y grosera ya que como bien le contesté es una suerte poder hablar tantos idiomas. Debería tener en cuenta que es una atracción turística y que vive de ello.
La mayoría de las opiniones expresadas de los usuarios son totalmente ciertas, tras nuestra experiencia podemos corroborarlo, una lástima ya que echa por tierra el trabajo de los demás compañeros.

Bestimmt ganz schön, wenn man den richtigen Platz bekommt. Jüngere Generation bekommt die schlechtesten Plätze (vorne seitlich). Also am besten ihr sagt, ihr habt Rückenprobleme, wenn viel los sein sollte. Das garantiert den Blick geradeaus und auf alles Schöne . Auch könnt ihr es ohne Nackenstarre und ohne Ohrendröhnen (Boxen sind auch Vorne und nicht leise!) genießen. Schönes gesehen, auch Delfine, aber unterm Strich waren wir allein aufgrund des Sitzplatzes total enttäuscht.

Experiencia única en el barco, mientras visitábamos cantidad de calas idílicas e inaccesibles a pie , teniendo la oportunidad de deslizarnos por entre esas formaciones típicas y únicas de la costa del Algarve!
Buen ambiente, connotaciones de aventura, al correr en busca de los delfines, que en esta ocasión, no quisieron aparecer!

Passeio muito bom, uma equipa bastante competente. Lamentável a minha avaliação é baixa para a qualidade do serviço derivado a uma prática da equipa em que no fim do passeio passa 2 caixas para darmos grojeta, ao qual procede de um comunicado em que nos deixa um pouco mal vistos se não dermos nada. É uma pena pois sem essa prática daria 5 estrelas na boa.

An absolutely outstanding half day trip. Setting out at speed into the Atlantic in search of dolphins, the entire trip covers around 40 miles in 2 hours, the first hour or so on the "high sea". Constant radio contact with companion boats means that when the dolphin pods are spotted, the captain can change direction quickly to ensure an "encounter". A bumpy ride - but to be expected given the high speed in open water, but it does mean that the offers of cold refreshments can go unheard at the risk of drowning yourself in beer or soft drinks. The latter half of the ride takes a more gentler pace, exploring the beeches and amazing caves along the Carvoeiro coastline, before heading back again to the Port of Albufeira. Great value with an attentive crew. For those who may be quesy, I would recommend a back seat - but fear not - once the dolphins have been spotted, there is plenty of opportunity to move around the boat for the best view. But the captain will also help, manoeuvring the boat around the pod!

Déçu...
Un commandant aussi lourd que ses blagues, des places de devant au rabais (gare au torticoli), baignade de 5min à l'ombre, visite éclair de benagil cave sans pouvoir se baigner, aucun dauphin.
Mention spéciale au commandant qui est le prototype du parfait gros beauf : entre blagues douteuses et humour salace durant 2h30 impossible de profiter pleinement de la sortie.

Tour of the caves along the coast is very beautiful and interesting. We didn't get to see any dolphins on our afternoon trip - just the luck of the draw. Crew helpful and speak multiple languages but a few too many crude jokes with young children on board.

A lot of fun and the crew on board were great! Saw lots of dolphins and caves, plenty of opportunities to take pictures. Enjoyed the music and the enthusiasm of the crew. It was a very, very bumpy ride so be prepared for that but all in all, great value for money!!!

Sehr nettes und lustiges Personal. Alles lief geordnet und nach Plan ab. Die Tour an sich war sehr Informativ und interessant. Man fährt mit dem Boot auch teilweise direkt in die Höhlen hinein. An Board gibt es kühle Getränke zu kaufen. Der Höhepunkt der Tour war für uns das Beobachten der wildlebenden Delphine!!

El tour fue muy bien, tuvimos la gran suerte de poder ver delfines y de disfrutar las calas, el único inconveniente fue el capitán Pedro, al empezar salió un hombre y sin presentarse empiezó a seleccionar a las personas, por edad, si tienen algún problema de espalda, embarazadas,etc. Si el señor Pedro se hubiera presentado como capitán y hubiera hablado con los pasajeros yo le hubiera explicado, que nosotros estábamos pronto porque a mi pareja le dan mucho respeto los barcos, nosotros llegamos de los primeros para coger un sitio en el cual le permitiera disfrutar de la experiencia sin que lo pasará mal, el salió y seleccionó a su parecer (que luego entiendes que es para equilibrar el barco) pero como no explicó nada te sientes como si fuera un rebaño de cabras , y al ver que quería estar de los primeros de muy malas maneras me puso el último de la cola, hable con la chica que me vendió los tickets, porque por el trato recibido quería que me devolviera el dinero, ella muy amable habló con el capitán y me busco unos asientos acordes con nuestras necesidades, luego, durante el trayecto muy agradable pero una vez más el señor Pedro hace bromas que no le hacen gracia, señor Pedro que se que contesta, si se molestará en hablar con los pasajeros, sólo que al llegar se presentará para que así las personas entiendan que está pasando iría todo mucho mejor ya que el único punto negativo, de todos los turistas son tus formas, por el resto del equipo x ride todos un 10, a Pedro lo aprobamos porque luego en el Tour la cosa cambio y fue más agradable.

Je met cette note car déjà car nous n'avons vu aucun dauphins (Moins d'une chance /3 d'en voir). La traduction en français est juste incompréhensible au début de l'excursion. Blagues assez beaufes de la part du capitaine. Heureusement que le paysage rattrapait le tout. Conseil important : essayez de vous mettre sur la droite du bateau (tribord) pour une meilleure vision des grottes.

Nous avons profité de cette excursion. Nous sommes venu début Janvier. Moment inoubliable ! Un équipage super, un paysage magnifique, et le plus les dauphins étaient bien présents en nombre. Un immense merci pour ces souvenirs qui resteront longtemps en mémoire.

Great experience! Pedro our guide was extremely knowledgeable and funny, he made us feel very comfortable on our trip!
The coast was rather interesting but the highlight was 100% the wild dolphins that came up to the boat and played around us.

Wir waren heute (18.11.2019) auf der Dolphins & Caves Tour entlang der portugiesischen Küste. Es war ein großartiges Erlebnis. Der Guide erzählte Informationen und Geschichten zu mehreren Stellen entlang der Route, lies aber auch genug Freiraum um selbst die Landschaft zu genießen. Höhepunkt der Tour war ein Treffen mit einer wilden Delphinschule mitten im Ozean - das wird wohl auf jeder Fahrt versucht, kann jedoch nicht garantiert werden, weil die Delphine natürlich Wildtiere sind. Zum Abschluss gab es dann für alle Teilnehmer noch ein Erinnerungspaket in einem Booklet mit einem Foto von sich selbst und seiner Gruppe, sowie einem Bild des gesamten Bootes beim Auslaufen. Auf der Rückseite gibt es dann noch weitere Informationen zur gefahrenen Route und ein paar Bildern. Kostenpunkt 10€ - da gibt es definitiv schlechtere Urlaubserinnerungen.
Alles in allem kann ich die Tour jedem Empfehlen der die Zeit dafür aufbringen kann. Man bekommt wirklich einen Blick auf die Schönheit der Welt in der wir leben.

Wirklich großartiges Erlebnis.
Tolle Aussicht, witziger Kapitän.
Lohnt sich auf jeden Fall.
Wir hatten Glück und auf der "Dolphins and Curves"-Tour wirklich Delphine gesehen.
Das ist wohl nicht immer der Fall, da es sich um wilde Delphine handelt.
Vor allem im November ist aber eine gute Windjacke zu empfehlen.
Auf dem Wasser kann es durch den Wind sehr kalt werden.

Wundervolle Tour an der Küste der Algarve. Das Boot fährt sogar in einige Höhlen hinein. Delfine sind neben unserem Boot geschwommen. Die Crew war super freundlich und Kapitän Pedro ist der Knaller.

Adorei o passeio que fizemos hoje!
O único ponto e que o barco é grande, pelo folder que peguei achava que fosse pequeno (os menores entram nas cavernas com mais facilidade, esse passa somente por algumas).
A empresa tem bastante experiência, profissionais falam várias línguas, faz o percurso de maneira bem agradável e no final demos a sorte de ver os golfinho!

Wir waren Ende Oktober auf dieser Tour unterwegs und es wurde sehr professionell gearbeitet. Die Leute wurden entsprechend Alter platziert, Pedro erklärte auf nette Art in mehreren Sprachen , konnte das Boot sehr sicher fahren, Höhlen erkundigt und Delfine gesehen.
Wir empfehlen diese Tour zu 100 % weiter.

We had a great time on the trip, the captain was very stern at first but he was just making sure every one was safe and ready for the trip it turned out he was a lovely, funny, friendly man and also very caring. We saw the dolphins and some great cave's... I definitely recommend this trip.

Wir haben am 12. September bei x ride die Höhlen und Delphine Tours gebucht und es hat mega Spaß gemacht. Uns wurde das kleine Boot empfohlen und das war auch gut so. Es ging mit mega Speed aufs offene mehr. Soviel Spaß hatte ich schon lange nicht mehr. Auch Delphine haben wir gesichtet. Der Tourguide konnte vier Sprachen und hat uns alles mit viel Herzblut erklärt. Das Geld hat sich echt gelohnt. Tolles Erlebnis. Vielen Dank

The high of our trip to Algarve. We loved the tour and the team at X-Ride were amazing. Our captain was Pedro and Alex (I believe), and they were great – they even provided their own coats to both me and my partner as they could see we were cold (it was the last tour of the day, so the sun was setting). The caves are gorgeous…you get such a lovely view of the coastline. We were lucky as we got to see about 12 dolphins in the sea. It was magical… they play a serene track on the background and you just get lost in the moment. They are keen to protect the environment and the oceans, it’s impossible to ignore their message. I so recommend the tour; it is a once in the lifetime experience and you should do it.

2h30 tour to see dolphins ans the caves. Although they try to please the tourists by getting as close as possible to the dolphins, I am not sure if it helps or scares the animals. Overall, good experience. We did at 9:30 am in Aug and we had to use a layer as it can get a bit cold during the tour.

It is great when the experience is better than you would have expected. The team at X Ride is really professional. They do know what they do. The boats are very safe, powerful and comfortable. Me encantó el paseo en bote, elegimos ir con el Explorer que era más chico. Pudimos ver los delfines y las cuevas. El paseo en bote fue muy divertido (a nosotros nos tocó adelante).
El guía fue muy bueno, explicó las cosas en inglés y en francés (también dijo que si alguien no entendía también sabía aleman y español si mal no recuerdo).
Le saco una estrella porque en la publicidad decía que te ibas a poder meter al agua en algún momento y eso nunca pasó (tampoco dieron ninguna explicación de que no haya sido posible, no hicieron ningún comentario al respecto). Me parece que es importante destacar ese punto ya que en nuestro caso ese fue el factor decisivo de la empresa, sino hubiésemos elegido otra con botes más chicos...

J'ai mis une étoile car on ne peut pas mettre moins.Très déçu de cette activité car premièrement le guide n'était pas très aimable, deuxièmement les descriptions en français étaient incompréhensibles et enfin on n'a vu aucun dauphin.

Ballade super sympathique, nous avons eu la chance de voir bcp de dauphins et le capitaine a pris le temps pour nous laisser observer ces magnifiques dauphins . Le tour dans les grottes étaient lui aussi très agréable. Rapport qualité prix au top . Cette ballade est incontournable.

We really wanted to do a boat trip out to see the caves and these guys offered the chance to see Dolphins - was certainly a magical experience, our guide Pedro spoke 4 different languages (fluently!) And he did a great job explaining all the parts of the tour as well as keeping a keen eye out fo dolphins. Had a lot of fun!

When I was on holiday me and my girlfriend went on this trip and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The price was reasonable and you get to see some amazing views of the caves. We was also lucky enough to see dolphins on the trip which was a bonus. The only thing I would say about is they dont have refreshments on board so I recommend bringing your own because I did get very thirsty.

The cave is quite stunning but the huge boat and the loud music from the boat destroys the atmosphere. So cannot recommend it as it is also really dangerous for the swimmer and SUPer.

Sortie en bateau qui vaut vraiment le coup. En ce qui nous concerne nous avons eu le petit bateau plus confortable. Le personnel a été très agréable avec traduction en anglais mais aussi français alors que nous étions que 2 sur le bateau.
Malheureusement pas de dauphins mais un réel effort de la part de la compagnie pour en trouver.
Je conseille fortement.

Belle expérience, visite en anglais français et portugais pour combler tout les passagers du bateau. Je conseille de prendre le petit bateau qui est bien plus confortable et plus convivial.
Nous avons malheureusement pas vu de dauphins mais c'est la loi de la nature.

Dommage les dauphins n'étaient pas au rdv. Très sympa et surtout le tour en bateau est beau et complet. Prévoir des habits chauds et imperméables...

Grotere boot, +/- 50 personen. Gaan tot vooraan in de grotten, kunnen er door hun grootte wel niet doorvaren. Ideaal voor mensen die niet zeker zijn of ze zeebenen hebben en/of mensen met kleinere kinderen. Uitleg in Nl-Fr-En-D-P-Es-It. Mogelijkheid tot het spotten van Dolfijnen/Orka's!
Ik ben samen met 2 oudere personen gegaan waarvan één gebruik maakte van rollator, geen probleem, wordt mee aan boord geholpen en rollator werd zelfs vastgeschroefd op het achterdek. Als u de marina voorbij rijdt en het volgende ronde punt rechts naar beneden neemt, kan u toelating vragen om met personen die beperkt zijn in hun bewegingen tot aan de pier (terrassen) te rijden, en voertuig dan terug op voorziene parking te plaatsen aan het havengebouw!

Génial ! Les grottes sont superbes , nous avons eu la chance d'avoir une grande famille de dauphins pour nous accueillir le jour de notre balade (24/05/2018) , et des guides vraiment très sympathiques et attentionnés ! Toute la visite est faite en anglais mais l'un des guides me traduisait en français lorsque je ne comprenais pas. Je recommande fortement

Toller Ausflug mit Pedro dem besten x-ride Kapitän. Wir haben lange viele Delfine gesehen bekamen viele Informationen. Bei bestem Wetter ist Pedro in alle Höhlen hinein gefahren und hat uns bestens unterhalten. Es gibt in Albufeira viele Anbieter solcher Touren. Wir würden X ride auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

Travesía estupenda en pareja en la que disfrutamos durante 2 horas y media de todas las playas de Algarve, cuevas y vistas al mar. Lo único malo fue que no pudimos ver los delfines en la travesía, no obstante hay que tener en cuenta que los delfines sólo están de paso por el lugar y el coste de toda la travesía fue económico. Volvería a repetir.

As advertised and to be expected from that bright orange boat, it's more of an exciting bumpy ride, than something for ppl who like it calm.
The skipper and guide was charming and knew different languages. The tour around the caves was beautiful and in the end we were incredibly lucky and saw some dolphines.

Surprised these google reviews have folks who saw dolphins as most other travel forums, nobody sees dolphins. And we didn't! The the trip is enjoyable bc of the scenery. Note the ride is bumpier than expected. In the end, if we weren't going to see dolphins and just the caves and do a scenic view, I'd recommend a catamaran or a small boat. The catamarans are smoother rides and you can stand up and hang around. As for the smaller boats, they can get into a number of the caves. This one claims you go inside the Bengali caves but that's an exaggeration. The boat is too big. It mostly noses you in for a view but the boat doesn't actually go in it. I guess if we actually saw dolphins I'd give this 4 star but again, seems like seeing dolphins is actually rare and not the norm so I'd opt for a more comfortable or closer cave ride.

Excellent couple of hours spent exploring the coastline and caves.Lucky enough to encounter a school of dolphins on way back.Captain Pedro is a bit of a character.Money well spent.

A fabulous 2.5 hours from beginning to end. The shoreline and caves were beautiful as expected but the dolphins were the real stars of the show. Awesome to see in their natural habitat, weaving about in the clear waters in what seemed a playful way. Pedro the captain was almost as good too.
