Nice cocktails, just a shame the beer choice is terrible and never seemed to have any bottles on the menu.

The tapas here are really good. Recommend the roasted chorizo and the garlic bread. The specials were very good and the octopus salad was by far the favourite, fresh and delicious! The lady that served us all night was amazing

Most customers seem to be British tourists coming for burgers and fries or some variation. We had a pork steak, potatoes and octopus salad and nothing was really worth eating - bland and unassuming is the best that can really be said. Seems to be a tourist trap despite all the positive reviews. Regret having wasted a meal here.

We found this little gem on our stsy in Albufeira last week and wow did it impress! Friendly staff , delicious breakfast, juices and smoothies. And the ice cream is just perfect. To top it all off, the views are just insanely beautiful. Cant wait to go back to the sleepy donkey!

This little place has the best tapas I have ever tasted! Good service and a great owner who also cooks the tapas. Had a good laugh with her and would definitely recommend a visit there. I will be returning for the hot chorizo.

En face de la plage et sans prétention ce petit resto est très convivial et une patronne et un personnel très sympa et accueillant
Aucun soucis de langues car le français anglais espagnol et portugais sont couramment parlés
Tapas et plats typiques de la regions à un prix raisonnable et copieux

Au bord dune petite plage tres belle, Super accueil très chaleureux , propriétaires au top. Suivez leurs conseils vous ne serez pas déçu. Nous y avons mangé plusieurs fois et rien à redire. Je conseille les pastels de nata fait maison. Merci encore aux propriétaires très sympathique.

Sleepy Donkey is our favourite home away from home in Olhos d’Água. The welcoming service offered by owners Gloria and Carlos and their staff is superb. The seafood is delicious and perfectly cooked, especially the tender octopus. The gelato, homemade by Gloria, is a daily treat. Highly recommended!

Acceuil très chaleureux, les tapas sont justes sublimes... La sangria est la meilleure des alentours... N'hésitez pas à faire une dégustation et le tout à prix très correct.

In het gezellige dorp Olhos de Agua bevindt zich The Sleepy Donkey, een ijssalon en bar/restaurant waar u heerlijke tapas kunt eten. U kunt ook buiten zitten op het terras. Erg vriendelijk personeel.

Very tasty food. Good friendly service. Had special of the day Piri Chicken & chips and a large glass of red wine all for €7.50. It was some of the best chicken I have had. Very nice. Plus the server was very helpful and very welcoming.

Comida tradicional e "não " tradicional virada para o pessoal mais novo. Comida muito bem confeccionada. Gelados e crepes fabulosos! Os empregados e proprietários afáveis e simpáticos. A repetir sem dúvida!!!

Is what it is. Plenty of uncomfortable seats, waiters not very attentive. They could be more proactive. Took a while to be served and get a bill. Even though they was just standing there. All in all cheap beers I guess. Why not?

We shared Platter #2 and it was very delicious. The service was wonderful, the price was reasonable and we would definitely come back.
The only reason to not give it 5 stars was a smell of sewage that wafted through once in awhile.

Delightful little place. The tapas boards were fantastic, the best I've had. The sausage and octopus were particularly good. The back of the restaurant looks like it is being refurbished and that was the only downside. Very friendly and attentive staff. Will definitely be back.

2nd time to Olhos de Agua. We loved the Sleepy Donkey restaurant so much we ate there every lunchtime on our second holiday. Fantastic food and a good variety of choices. My favourite was the Tapas. The huge prawns in olive oil with garlic are the best along with the Padron peppers. The staff are so welcoming and happy and will do anything to suit your choice. Gloria, Andrea, Paulo, Pedro serving and the bar man who's name I can't remember are all lovely people. I would highly recommend and we will definitely be going back. Lovely relaxing restaurant and huge umbrellas where you can sit in or out of the sun. Our visits here was one of the highlights of our week away. And for the English people they all speak very good English too. Good variety of food choices and great bar if you just want a drink.

Nice drinks of moderate size, but fairly dire service. Woe betide the person who asks for something while two concurrent orders are in progress. Also, I hope you like cigarette smoke.

Sitio a pie de playa donde tomar tapas y comidas de todo tipo a buen precio con menú infantil y buen ambiente la mayoría ingleses tomando cañas pero para comer está muy bien y al lado tienen heladería con muchos sabores raros

Waited 40 minutes for a cheese& ham toastie and a bland beef burger. The excuse for the wait was that they were really busy, but they shouldn’t have that many tables out if they can’t deal with the lunch time rush. I won’t be coming back.

Friendly staff made you welcome, even shared joke with my ordering the ATUM salad. (Tuna as I'm now aware). Service was speedy enough for me on holiday. Absolutely no complaints. Ps much more friendly than Pickwick next door.

Beim ersten Besuch alles ok. Eine Woche später wurden wir trotz geringer Auslastung nicht bedient. Die vorhandenen Keller waren mit sich beschäftigt. Wir sind dann nebenan gegangen.

Excelente local mesmo junto à praia de olhos de água. Excelente serviço e empregados bastante simpáticos. As bebidasne refeições são de grande qualidade.
