One star is being generous for this place. A family dinner turned out to be a disaster. So many positive reviews attracted us to have a dinner at this place. Having a number of restaurants on one street makes one wonder which one to go for. Unfortunately, we had a very unpleasant experience visiting this place. Three of us had to wait about 45 min for our order to be served and when the food arrived it was absolutely uneatable. I won’t say anything about the over cooked and completely rubbery mixed grill dish that I have ordered, but my child’s hamburger arrived as a plain burger in a bun, not even a lettuce or a tomato to complement it. A very well known fast food joint serves better dishes that Carpe Diem at a fraction of the price. I am sorry guys, but you need to get your act together to justify your four star rating. For the visitors, please think twice before visiting this restaurant, my advice, stay away and spend your money elsewhere, there are plenty of local restaurants that serve authentic quality food.

High Quality food combined with great hospitality makes eating @carpe diem an over all great experience. Also I would love to recommend the spare ribs and the burgers, you will not find them better anywhere else.

Great value, attentive staff and nice food. This was our restaurant of choice during our holiday. We came for the offers, but stayed for the staff and food.

Tonight is our third visit this week. The food is delicious and the service is consistently at a very high standard. This restaurant offers the best value for money in this resort. The owner and staff are excellent.

Excelente restaurante, que não sendo dos mais baratos tem uma cozinha fantástica. Como entrada comi uma sopa de cogumelos com um leve sabor a hortelã acompanhada de um pão de alho crocante . Depois seguiu-se umas espetadas de camarão e um bone steak com molho de pimenta preta .Comida e serviço 5 estrelas .

Very disapointed !!! For starter i order fried calamari and get only 4 rings. For Main course i order pasta with the prawns they are give me spaghetti with only 5 prawns (only tail)And full of oil. Meal cost me 70e for my family. Leave restaurant hungry.

Lovely meal great choice with reasonable prices Have eaten a few meals here now including the tourist menu and all have been very nice and fantastic value. Kebabs and steak highly recommended they also catered for my Milk allergy.

Wow. The food is absolutely delicious and the price is right. We visited several restaurants in the Albufeira area and this restaurant by far had the best cod fish. We would definitely recommend this to everyone. Thanks David for such an amazing dinner for our family of 5!!

We are a family of six who have just been to this restaurant and to say I am disgusted with the attitude of the what I think was the manager is a. understatement... The food was edable but only just ..there was an offer 6for 5 so we went in but they tried to charge us for extra drinks and extra food that we didn't order... Then the icing on the cake was when I paid I gave over the amount but they refused to give my change. Please please avoid unless you want a bad experience on holiday the only good thing about this place is the lovely Scottish Lady that works hard to get you in..unfortunately that's where it ends;;

In dieser Straße ist es sehr schwer was zu finden. Allerdings ist dieser Laden absolut schlecht. ! Das Menü Angebot ist absolut verwirrend. Man bekommt nicht was man bestellt. Ein Burger für vier Euro nur zwischen zwei Brotscheiben Und eine Handvoll Pommes. Obwohl mir eigentlich aus dem Angebot hervorgeht das Salat dazu serviert wird. Und auf Nachfrage behauptet wird das dies bei diesem Burger nicht dabei ist.

Comida boa, preço justo. Tem menu turístico com tudo incluído.

Great restaurant, fantastic varied menu, kids menu is first class with free ice cream. Lovely fresh side salad with main course. Relaxed family freindly atmosphere. All round great experience.

Un restaurant qui ne parle pas le Portugais, ni le Français qu' Anglais! Ne prenez pas les cocktails avec alcool, car pour 6,50e vous n'aurez qu'1 doit d'alcool et le reste que du jus!! Et pour finir le "menu touristique "c'est vraiment pas bon!! même si c'est au prix de 12,95e.

Had breakfast and dinner here most days during our holiday. Food is always cooked fresh and tastes delicious, staff are just lovely and all menus are very reasonably priced. We are already planning to return next year....there are many restaurants/ cafes in this area but this one is a hidden gem!

We went there for dinner twice on the last two nights,because just found the end of the holiday. We really liked this place, the owner is the most friendly person I've seen he looked after us both night very well,such a good personality. I'll definitely recommend for everyone who's heading to albufeira in the future and hopefully we'll be back . Thanks for everything and see you next time!!!

Very good food and friendly staff. The furniture and environment was not the best though. The vegetarian spaghetti was great. Their kabab and cheese was also delicious.

We thought on our holiday to go to a nice Dutch restaurant. Picking a restaurant is always difficult, because one person in our group is allergic to gluten. After asking the owner a couple times if they would serve food without gluten, we trusted him. He knew what it was and had 15 people each day with gluten allergy. Turned out to be a very bad choice. The owner did not even listen to us when we tried to explain. Later that evening our friend got very sick. So do not trust the smooth talk of the owner. He is rude and does not listen to his costumers.

Good cheap food close to where we were staying. What made the visit was the friendly service provided by our waitress 'Lorna'. Go here for Lorna if nothing else! :)
