Disappointing from beginning to end. Chicken was dry, waiter was without personality, (would be better employed in an morgue) and service was slow. I don't generally write if its bad but I make an exception here.

Repas très convenable mais l'ensemble du personnel est très désagréable... il faudrait qu'ils reapprennent à sourire... ça ne coûte rien et ça nous permettrait de passer un bon moment...et le personnel travaillerait dans une meilleure ambiance...

11 of us arrived unannounced for lunch and they handled it with no trouble. It's a local café/restaurant and was full with workers lunching. They kindly moved around so we could all sit together. We all had the chicken which is house speciality and VERY cheap. Was OK, but after all - just grilled chicken. Nevertheless good local lunch atmosphere and good prompt service.

A real Portuguese local restaurant popular with both locals and tourists alike and all treated the same. Some of the waiters can be moody but that should be treated as part of the fun. The pricing is ridiculous for what you get. That is it does not cost a great deal for a meal and wine. it can become quite noisy and is a little cramped if you have baby with you. But it is certainly worth a visit.

Seating is at long, shared tables, surrounded by locals, who love the place at least as much as the tourists do! Open for lunch and again for dinner each day. Ce fut une 1 ere fois pour moi .Pleins de monde sur le trottoir qui attend de la place , a mon avis ,ça doit être de bonne augure ...
En effet , les assiettes sont très bien servies , et c'est très bon , surtout le poulet grillé .
Pour ma part ,j'ais pris des calamars grillés ,qui manqués un peu de cuisson , dommage .
Un petit bémol , attention à la promiscuité ,toutes les tables sont accolées , donc que vous soyez ,4,6,ou 8 ,ça ne change rien, nous étions 2 , entourés de 2 personnes de chaque côté , a moins d'être une sauvage .. c'était bien sympathique , nous avons échangé avec tout le monde .

C'est très bon et pas cher ! A faire absolument si vous voulez tester une cantine portugaise. Je vous conseille les lulas (calamars) qui sont très bien préparés. Lieu bruyant et très éloigné de l'ambiance lounge .

Hier macht es Spaß.
Wenn man zu spät kommt muss man in der Schlange warten. Man sitzt zusammen mit Portugiesen, Engländern, Schweden usw. Wunderschön.

Sem dúvidas dos melhores frangos assados que já degustei.
Atendimento simpático, rapidez e trato no relacionamento com o cliente. Nesta altura de pandemia o espaço com mesas disponível está muito mais reduzido, mas a qualidade é sem qualquer margem para dúvidas excellent.
Eu aconselho vivamente a todos os visitantes to Algarve e da zona de Faro a darem uma saltada a São Brás de Alportel.
Em seguida dêem uma caminhada pela Vila de São Brás e passem pela estátua do meu Tio Bisavô (Bernardo Passos).
Um bem hajam.

Uma das casas mais movimentadas em S. Brás de Alportel.
Várias especialidades grelhadas além da carne e do seu famoso frango de churrasco grelhado em carvão. O molho da casa dá um paladar especial aos grelhados.
As sobremesas são diversas e saborosas, as quantidades generosas e o café também não foge á regra.
O staff é bastante profissional.

Love chicken Luis, I've been visiting this restaurant for 25 years and it never disappoints. It's where all the locals go and is always busy so get there for opening to avoid a wait. Has a menu that caters for all but the chicken and chips is the best.

J'y vais tout les étés c'est un bon restaurant la spécialité est le poulet grillé. C'est bon et pas cher. Quatre étoiles pour la nourriture et le prix mais le service à table par contre laisse à désirer. Les serveurs ne sont pas souriants. Et en été le restaurant est vite plein il vaut mieux y aller tôt.

We love "Chicken Louis'". Straight forward but delicious BBQd chicken with a gorgeous home made peri peri sauce. Been here several times over the years and a must go place each visit. Great service and prices (for the chicken, never ordered anything else!)

Seit 30 Jahren gehen wir hierher. Natürlich ist es nicht mehr so einfach und ursprünglich wie früher, aber wir kpmmen immer gerne wieder.
Es sind immer noch die gleichen Kellner wie vor vielen Jahren. Durch die vielen englischen Gäste ist es sprachlich etwas verändert. Das gute Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist aber geblieben. Es empfiehlt sich rechtzeitig um 19 Uhr dort zu sein, ansonsten wird es für größere Gruppen schwierig.

This place used to be amazing value, but today not so much. I stopped going because it was mostly huge shared tables and you'd get a bright pink Brexiter on one side to shout annoying rubbish and a shrieking baby on the other to spit food over you, but for family groups etc not a problem.
Today however I didn't really WANT to go out, there was just nothing in the house that wasn't in the freezer.
So I thought I'd save money.
I didn't save money.
Still four stars. Professional staff, quick service, good food, reasonable price.
Don't like being plonked next to random people and it's not really a bargain these days, so not five stars.

Réputé pour son poulet, l'ambiance du lieu s'apparente à une cantine, un peu bruyante. Le poulet est très bon et on y mange pour pas cher. Il vaut mieux arriver pour l'ouverture car en une vingtaine de minutes les tables sont pleines. Les gens font la queue à l'extérieur. Un petit sourire de la part des serveurs seraient un plus.

This is our absolute go to restaurant. We love it here and gave been coming for years! VERY affordable prices and delicious mouth watering foods. If you want the special of the day, ensure you arrive early (12PM) or it will be all gone but. It to worry because the rest of the menu is fantastic!

Busy and noisey, but great food and value for money. A meal for 6, mains, desserts, wine and beers, less than € 80.
The service was fast and efficient, the waiters polite and friendly. All in all a great choice for small and large parties. The chicken in cream and mushrooms was to die for.

Used to be very happy there. Waiters are still awesome and so is the whine, but I had an upset tummy now for the second time after eating grilled chicken with salad. Had a whole night emptying out my stomach in two directions. Not going there again. Sorry guys, but you have to serve proper food. Maybe change the price and buy a better quality?

One of our favourite places to eat in Sao Bras. The price is right for quality of food versus the possibility of sitting at long table with strangers that quickly become interesting people to talk to. The place feels reflective of the community of mixed native Portuguese and expat British, German, French and Scandinavian. Good to take your visting friends and family to as doubt they would have ventured out of there comfort zone of resturants with menu outside in multiple languages and once inside there is enough choice on the menu, which is in multiple languages, to cater to everyone. I recommend the chicken in cream with mushrooms if you like garlic, if you dont fancy the chips that it comes with, you can ask them to have it with rice instead. The house carafe of white fizzy is good but not overly fizzy.

O Luis dos Frangos é um restaurante de ambiente simples e os clientes gostam dele assim.
Esta casa já tem imensos anos e ganhou uma grande fama, principalmente pela qualidade da sua comida, embora o frango assado seja o seu produto estrela, o resto do Menu é altamente recomendável.
A sempre presente cozinha tradicional portuguesa destaca-se é inúmeras iguarias, nomeadamente o bacalhau cozido com grão que recomendo vivamente.
O staff é simpático, atencioso, demonstrando grande vontade de interacção com o publico.
Talvez devido à antiguidade daquela casa, é natural que já tenha imensos clientes habituais, que junto com equipa confere à sala um ambiente familiar e até acolhedor.
Dentro do género, este é um óptimo restaurante, recomendo alguma atenção na hora da visita, pois das poucas vezes lá fui, encontrei a casa cheia, no entanto, nunca precisei esperar por mesa.

Tastiest chicken I 've ever eaten,and when on the Algarve have to make pilgrimage to Luis.Always stop in Albufeira but have to visit Luis at least once to sample fantastic chicken.Not the shortest drive which in itself speaks volumes

s de estos restaurantes en los que te puede tocar sentarte en una mesa larga al lado de otro cliente. Las veces que hemos ido, porque repetimos varias veces, estaba abarrotado, pero siempre nos atendieron rápidamente.
La especialidad es el pollo, exquisito, con una mención especial a las patatas fritas que lo acompaña, delicatessen.
Probé varias veces la dorada y el bacalao también a la brasa, impresionante.
El vino blanco a presión de la casa, el mejor acompañamiento.
De postres hay para elegir entre varias tartas, muy buenas y el sorprendente Molotov.
Y lo mejor de todo, el precio, como si fuera un sueño.
Una experiencia única.

Local restaurant that offers mainly chicken prepared on different recipes. Quality of service and food is ok, what expected from a place like this one. Cheap place to eat and continue your journey.

We have recently bought a house in the area. This evening we ate at their no. 2 restaurant which is just around the corner, and had their speciality 1/2 grilled chicken, salad and chips which was delicious and together with a drink came to only 5.50€ per person. Highly recommended but get there early (particularly in holiday season) because it can be very busy with a queue - especially Sunday lunchtimes.

Fantastic value been going there for over 20 years. Food always excellent and good service. Owner Luis and wife eat there every night so it must be good. Closed Mondays and Tuesday's but Luis has opened another restaurant' Luis 2 ' just around the corner that's open on these nights. Best to arrive early to aviod queues.
