Jan 20 I couldn't finish my chicken curry today as it wasn't fully cooked. Said that to the waitress and said she need to have words with the chef. Got an appology. Wifes tuna was good tho so that spared the day. It was better last Sunday for the roast which pretty good. I'd go back again for the Sunday roast...,I'd miss anything chicken tho ! I'd say that 4 stars was a generous rating for me, prob less given the chicken. I'd say 3.8. But you can't give that. I'd say finally that to their credit the food is fabulous value for money.

Lovely. They are super friendly and very friendly. The drinks were well priced. Fantastic old pub charm. Will be going back for dinner.

Place is closed for the holidays. Normally I would not give a poor review for that, but it says on Google that you are open and the most recent review was 2 weeks ago.

Lovely bar to relax with an ice cold beer in the midday sun! Also a bonus that it’s open until 2am!

Divertidisimo sitio de encuentro donde tambien puedes cenar, y tomar unas cervezas. Musica en directo y el ambiente es super divertido. Lo he pasado genial las noches que he pasado en La zona en ese local.

Lovely friendly staff.. lot's of choice in drinks and food and snacks... lovely area... plenty of indoor and outdoor seating... open most of the year... definitely worth a visit...

Really friendly place. Staff are very helpful and speak very good english. The food is wonderful, I had king prawn pasta which came with a healthy amount of prawns and chillis.
Very reasonable prices, live sports and dog friendly.

A solid 4 stars. Good value fixed price meal deal, and good quality pub type food. Friendly staff and whilst we wouldn't normally go to a 'pub' in Portugal it made a pleasant change. TVs showing football that would normally put us off, but the sound was off so no problem. Nice setting and likely to return.

The Old Barrel Pub is a family place where the food is good and the service is premier. I highly recommend the Old Barrel Pub for an amazing time.

Good place to have a coffee or a drink, with a big TV outside all day ling. In 2019 they started serving food again, so the place is always crowded now.

This pub is in a good setting, being away from the road in the O Pomar development. You can park in the nearby streets and it's then just a short stroll. There is a decent amount of outdoor seating - shaded by large parasols and indoor seating available too. We only had a couple of Ciders there but the food being served looked very nice and good portions. They also do a range of reasonably priced cocktails.

They do a fantastic meal deal offer for 10 euro which includes a delicious main course, beer and dessert! Lovely staff too, highly recommend a visit.

The Old Barrell is a fantastic bar Clive the owner makes you feel right at home with excellent food and drink and his hospitality the staff are all very friendly.Best waitress is Angelina she is such a lovely girl ful of personality and cart do enough for you. We have been going to the Old Barrel every night of our holidays and will be returning in September see you then Rob and Elsie x

We when here last year. Service was good but there was a lot of children running about. The drinks were very expensive which was a surprise has the year before (2016) the food and drink was cheap. The food then was very British.

NOT OPEN even tho advertised as open, if the owners cant even be bothered to update what time and what days they are open then they dont't deserve my business... In response to the owner, yes there is a lot of incorrect information on the internet, so please stop adding to it...

Our party of 6 enjoyed an evening meal. The fish and chips were excellent and the chocolate cake with chocolate ice cream covered in real whipped cream was delicious. The service was top notch although we had to chase them for the bill, but that was not a bad thing showing us it wasn't all about money. For 6 the price was only75€. We'll be back.

Excelente pub, a comida é boa e as bebidas são de grande qualidade. A equipa é amigável. Podia falar mais, mas nada como experimentar. Fortemente recomendado.
