It came recommended, but I'm not sure it was justified.
Perhaps a slightly off day, we all have them, including me! I'm booked to visit again later in the year, so I'll try again if I'm allowed to travel.

Zojuist voor de tweede keer deze week hier gegeten. Spanish Platter, chicken saté en parrot burger. Een aanrader, lekker eten voor redelijke prijs, bijzonder vriendelijke bediening.

Un servicio muy atento y muy buenos platos !! Una cena para 2 adultos y 2 niños por 32€...la chica que nos atendió fué muy amable y acertadamente nos aconsejó que los niños compartieran un plato principal...fué muy honesta... 100% recomendable.

I have visited the Blue Parrot cafe/bar Monte gordo a couple of times with my husband.Friendly owner and staff English run.They serve delicious meals although a bit pricey, if you're not on a budget fine.We stopped by for just 2 coffees and 2 pieces of Apple crumble with Ice cream and cost 10 euros compared to 5 euros for 2 servings of apple pie & cream plus 2 coffees at a lovely Dutch café around the corner. No meal deals available here if you're looking for an economica menu.Clean washroom/toilet facilities..indoor and outdoor seating.suitable for families with children.

Heerlijk om even wat tapas te eten of een kipsaté met frites. Twee aardige dames runnen dit restaurantje. Engels en Nederlands wordt hier gesproken. Goede producten. Aanbeveling.

Kleine menukaart, heerlijke gerechten en vriendelijke bediening. Spareribs en kip piri piri (vrijdag) erg smakelijk. Reserveren aan te raden in het hoogseizoen. Goede prijs kwaliteit!

Underbar mat i en enkel skrud!
Låt dig inte tro att detta är en sylta! Revbenen var så möra och goda med en spännande kryddning! Lammburgaren var enligt mitt sällskap bästa på mycket länge!Snabb och bra service, med gästvänlig personal!

Op 13 september 2018 zijn we op aanraden van de positieve reacties hier gaan eten bij The Bleu Parrot.
We werden verwelkomt door een vlotte en aardige serveerster/eigenaresse. Die zelfs wat Nederlands sprak. Aangezien we niet van die grote eters zijn bestelde we maar gelijk het hoofdgerecht. Mijn eega nam de (lekker hollands) kipsaté met friet en ik de spareribs na een gebruikelijke wachttijd kwamen de schotels op tafel. Deze smaakten heel goed met de aantekening dat er op sommige stukjes saté verbrande stukjes zaten. Slecht voor je gezondheid liet mijn vrouw nog weten. Als nagerecht namen we een ameretto een flinke. En een dame blance. Kortom een geslaagd etentje met een charmante bediening en voor herhaling vatbaar. We moesten afrekenen incl. 3 rode wijn € 31.50.

Un pequeño tesoro escondido en Monte Gordo. Excelentes platos para degustar. La costilla con salsa barbacoa es un manjar, al igual que las brochetas de pollo con salsa de cacahuete. Precio ajustado y atención exquisita. No sé encuentra en primera línea del paseo de la playa, pero está muy bien situado

Um achado, no meio da confusão! Os hambúrgueres caseiros e super saborosos. Calmo e bem frequentado, com boa música. Ótimo para um almoço tardio. Atendimento simpático e com maneiras. Hambúrguer +batatas +salada e bebida preço médio 10€/pax.

Gute Tapas, wenig Auswahl. Der Wein war sehr gut und die Bedienungen schon fast übertrieben freundlich. Preise im Ganzen angemessen. Hauptgericht hatten wir keines, allerdings sahen die am Nachbartusch etwas überladen aus.

Comida ótima caseira , um entrecosto fenomenal extremamente tenro. Entradas baratas e deliciosas oriundas de vários países europeus. Empregados super simpáticos. O frango piripiri era delicioso e o picante era caseiro com um sabor de comer e chorar por mais. As sobremesas eram divinais podia morrer a comer gelado de bailey's ou gelado com brownies caseiros, o tiramisu de Nutella foi o melhor tiramisu que comi na vida.

A small establishment with an eclectic menu of dishes from a variety of countries. The service was good and the food arrived promptly. Both our main courses lacked seasoning but, unusually for a Portuguese restaurant, salt and pepper were provided on the table. Generous portions that were reasonably priced.

We have been here 3 evenings the past week, why? Because the food is amazing, so is Inna and so is the whole experience. Why look further when The Blue Parrot has it all? If you plan to go, it may be wise to book a table. We are most definately not the only ones who like this place!

We bezoeken dit restaurant al een aantal jaren. Ze serveren uitstekende kwaliteit voor een redelijke prijs. De beide eigenaressen zijn buitengewoon vriendelijk. Je voelt je echt in de watten gelegd. Dit restaurant mag je echt niet missen.

I mentioned to someone at my gym that I was visiting Monte Gordo, he said, go to The Blue Parrot. I took an Uber from the train and had a delightful lunch. I ordered a delicious lamb burger with a spicy dipping sauce and to my pleasant surprise, it came with sweet potato fries. I ended the meal with a mouth smacking apple crumble with cream. I’m returning today!

Bumbling along on my way back to the hotel and saw the Blue Parrot. Thought I'd have a coffee but stayed for a really nice Blue Parrot burger (not a real blue Parrot, it was beef) followed by an excellent Apple Crumble with Ice Cream AND Cream. Wow, going back as soon as I finish this review. Recommended.

Comimos el primer dia que llegamos a monte gordo y sin duda es el mejor sitio en el que hemos estado. Buen servicio, muy buen trato, la camarera fue muy agradable con nosotros, exquisita comida y precio muy razonable. ¡Volveremos!

Can't understand how this place got such a high review score.
We went based on the reviews and were very disappointed.
Food was average. The fish was obviously bought in pre packaged and frozen.
Service was attentive and the place was busy but we won't be back.
Eddy Tapas was 100 times better.1

I found this place passing by when I was going to the beach and it caught my attention. After taking a look at the reviews I decided that I needed to give it a try. My experience there was so great that I returned in the day after with a couple of friends and enjoy it a lot as well. The food was delicious and waitresses were very nice and kind during the evening. Best restaurant during my time in Monte Gordo. A must for your travel in here.

Monte Gordo - Dean and I ventured into this area (after a game of golf, of course) to see what city many tourist come to visit for the beach. We were served lunch by Lucy who was a sweetheart. She provided information about Tavira and good foods. Dean enjoyed the vegetable soup and garlic bread. The Tuna Salad (cooked) was with fresh veggies which you could taste with every bite. The spare ribs were ok, but then again, I have had smoked ribs from Tennessee. Dean liked his fish and chips, but I couldn’t get him to eat his mushy peas. Although he hasn’t tried them, he says that he doesn’t like them. I will try a different dish our second visit.

A small but beautiful wee restaurant .If dining there between 6-00pm and 9-00 pm you really need to book .Only 4 people looking after all clients Ira her son and 2 female chefs .The menu is great ,the food is delicious and the service is out of this world .

Ein tolles Restaurant zum Abendessen in einer belebten Straße in Monte Gordo. Man erhält leckeren Fisch, Fleisch und Meeresfrüchte zu fairen Preisen, besonders, wenn man das Touristen Menü bestellt (Vorspeise, Hauptgang, Dessert und Getränk für 11,50€!). Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und schnell, auch wenn das Restaurant sehr gut besucht war.

We went three on may, It was 21:30 and they told us the kitchen was already closed. Why they are open so late if they close so early the kitchen. I do not like It. I Will never return. There are a lot of places where to thoose from in Monte Gordo anyway.

In Monte Gordo moet je het vooral hebben van matige pizza's en snackbars met de standaard vette hap voor de weinig kritische toerist. The Blue Parrot is een verademing binnen deze Nederlandse enclave. Het ziet er niet fraai uit qua inrichting maar dit wordt volledig gecompenseerd door het geweldig, vriendelijke personeel en uitmuntend eten.... zeker voor de prijs. Helaas voor mij, als vegetarier, een beperkte keus maar wat er geserveerd wordt is dan ook overheerlijk. Het is heel klein dus er is niet altijd plek... reserveren dus

Ein kleines Lokal , von außen sieht es mehr wie ein Bistro aus. Sehr gut besucht, sehr leckere und ansehnlich dekorierte Speisen mit interessanten Gerichten . das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist absolut in Ordnung. Die Wirtin ist sehr nett und serviceorientiert. Absolut empfehlenswert
