Szkoda bo warto by zobaczyć. Obok jest Pastelaria ze świetnymi kanapkami na ciepło. Bardziej dla lokalsów więc i atmosfera daleka od turystycznych miejsc Taviry.

Igreja de San Francisco is located near the medieval walls of Tavira city. This church was one of the most pre-eminent buildings of the medieval Algarve. The monastery established by the Franciscans between 1250 and 1330. This monastery was troubled by a series of disasters, including the earthquakes (1722 and 1755), a downfall (1840) and an outrageous fire (1881). At present still preserves interesting medieval ruins, only two of its side chapels remains. The church is free to enter. The roof including those paintings from 1700 are amazing. The garden of the church is a little heaven in the middle of the city. Beautiful uncommon flowering plants and some old trees has made this place mesmerizing. There is a free washroom inside the garden. You should try to visit the place if you go to the Tavira town.

We were lucky enough to celebrate our wedding at igreja sao Francisco, Dona Elvira was wonderful and so helpful with organizing the service. We have wonderful memories!
