We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Breakfasts were great with all that fresh fruit. Room was well appointed and we enjoyed the pool. The garden was really nice. A lovely oasis in the town.

Ideal para quem não quer ir para um hotel nem alugar um apartamento apenas pois tem o melhor dos dois mundos - apartamento dentro duma quinta com pequeno almoço incluído :) Para além de que o staff é afável e simpático.

This is a cosy, clean and welcoming place, absolutely beautiful traditional Portuguese decor and delicious fresh breakfasts. Ideal for couples who want peace and quiet. Only 20 walk from Tavira town. The owners couldn't do enough for us and we fell in love with the place.

El hotel es bonito, pero es algo incómodo para el invierno,tuvimos mala suerte y llovió todo el tiempo y el hotel no dispone de ningún espacio común, ni cafetería , ni ningún lugar donde estar que no sea la habitación. Nuestra habitación era pequeñat y nada especial, ,excepto por una pequeña terraza que no pudimos usar debido al mar tiempo, así que me resultó algo caro. La atención muy amable aunque le pedí bañera grande y no me la pusieron. La verdad hacía tiempo que tenía ganas de conocer el hotel, lo elegí para pasar mi cumple y me ha decepcionado un poco

Petits appartements très bien équipés, tres propres . Accueil chaleureux .De bons conseils donnés à notre arrivé (ou manger, comment se rendre à la plage...) . A 10 mn à pied du centre ville et de ses nombreux restaurants , et supermarché à 2 mn . Nous recommandons cet endroit et si nous revenons à tavira nous reviendrons dans cet établissement.

Fantastic apartments, warm cosy and fantastic breakfast included, choice of continental and bacon with, fried, scrambled or boiled eggs, nice breads, ham, cheese, fruit, yogurt etc and freshly squeezed orange juice. Great location only 5 or 10 minutes walk to old town, just round the corner from Lidl for your supplies. Will definitely return here again.

Well-equipped rooms and everything worked. Set in lovely gardens, and a very good breakfast choice, with exceptionally good orange juice. Convenient parking.

This is the place to be in Tavira! The surroundings are maybe a little sketchy but once you enter the hotel you are in heaven. Very nice rooms/suites. Beautiful garden with a small pool. The staff is extremely helpful and nice. And the breakfast... an amazing assortment of all you might need (pastries, bread, cheese, eggs, fruits, etc) - and dont forget the orange juice. The best you will ever drink!

First trip to Tavira - we were out of season (poor weather in early March). Couldnt use pretty gardens or pool. Traditional Quinta charming, but needs some updates. Breakfast very good. Internet sporadic. Owners and staff very nice & helpful. Car drive to city center & good restaurants.

Son casas rurales a las a fureras de Tavira. Muy cuidadas y perfectas para desconectar. Las casas, los jardines, el comedor y la pequeña piscina, son perfectos para pasar allí unos días y reponer energías. El trato es también excelente. Muy recomendable. La única pega es el acceso con sillas de ruedas, no muy bueno, pero tampoco imposible, pero entendible por ser un conjunto de casas muy antiguas.

lovely hosts, this was an old farm which got converted in hotel rooms. Very charming and peaceful, great breakfast.

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentrumsnah in einem schönen und gepflegten Garten. Die Zimmer und Appartements sind mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und haben je eine individuelle Möglichkeit ungestört draußen zu sitzen. Das Frühstück gab es als Buffet - Orangensaft war frisch gepresst und Eier wurden frisch für den Gast zubereitet. Das Zentrum kann man zu Fuß in 10 Minuten erreichen. Die Tipps zu den Restaurants waren sehr gut.

Very nice place. The house has many different appartments, all of them stylish decorated with kitchen. With a parking inside the "quinta". The pool is small, but is good for a quick bath. The Breakfast, plenty of good and healthy things. Nando, the guy who was on the reception helped us to find a place for dinner, thanks. We will come back!

The Quinta do Caracal is a very cool relaxing place. The amenities are great and it is easy to walk to the historic area of Travira. The morning breakfast is superb. My wife and I enjoyed it immensely. The only negative was the pillows which were very hard.

We booked the hotel as it seemed to provide a green and characterful oasis close to the town centre. The hotel is built on a former farm, and fresh fruit and eggs are provided from the farm daily for breakfast. Quirky delightful rooms, a garden setting with loads of grass and trees, yet a kilometre from the Roman bridge - perfect!

Caracol means snail--this lovely small property welcomes one to slow down and relax in the garden, by the pool, or in attractive rooms with antique furnishings.

We had a lovely two night stay at this old family farm that is now in the centre of Tavira (beside the train station). It was great to wake up to the sounds of the different birds and enjoy the gardens and orange trees on the quinta. The breakfast was great too and the cottage was very comfortable.

Beautiful landscaping and layout. Can tell the hotel is run by women as there is everything you could want.

Super hotel. Nice change from the big corporation hotels. Unique room with shower and kitchen nice bed good breakfast in nice surroundings. It was a good base to visit local beaches and to tour East Algarve.

Wonderful and relaxing place to stay. We wake up with sounds of birds singing. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The only problem was weak wifi which wasnt working in rooms.

Really nice grounds to walk around and relax in. Staff were very friendly and giving us some great advice on things to see in the local area. Short walk in to the main part of Tavira for restaurants in the evening. We had a very nice couple of days here.

Lovely typical Portuguese style apartments (b & b) within their own grounds which included a swimming pool (a lovely converted old water tank), bar, breakfast room and comfortable sunbeds with umbrellas. Grounds well kept and attended by a gardener every day. Toaster,microwave, kettle, fridge and electric hob in the kitchen area with basic utensils (i.e. plates, pans etc). About 15 minute walk from the lovely town of Tavira.

Hotel con encanto dentro de una población muy bonita del Algarve. La propietaria nos ayudó con sus indicaciones a descubrir la zona y nos sugirió varias visitas muy recomendables, la playa de Barril y el pueblecito de Cacela Velha. La habitación amplia y con todo el sabor original de la decoración con mobiliario antiguo. El desayuno al calor de la chimenea con productos variados y zumo de naranja natural también fue un aspecto positivo de nuestra estancia.

la blonde aux yeux revolver et la brune pulpeuse ont très bien transformé cette quinta en une maison dhotes -hotel très bien situé et calme qui vous fait oublier le beton de lAlgarve . excellents conseils pour vous faire découvrir TAVIRA ET ses alentours ; bonne recommandation pour le restaurant AVENIDA , deux sœurs très sympa,tennis , jardin ,poulailler ..... LA FERME dans la ville .

We chose the city of Tavira as the base for the Algarve part of our Portugal vacation mostly on the recommendation of the Rick Steves guidebook. It was definitely less touristy with quaint streets, local people, cozy restaurants, and no giant hotels. The Quinta do Carocol was a great choice as the property is large with authentic looking rooms filled with local furniture and decor. As the property is older, it could use some improvements and unfortunately there was some mold and mustiness in the closet areas which could be a problem if you have allergies. The property had nice landscaping, ponds, and many places to sit. Unfortunately we came during a somewhat cold and rainy time. The heater in the bedroom was necessary and led to a pleasant sleep. Also the bathroom has a heater which helped a lot. Free wireless in the indoor lounge area iss a must for us and it worked just fine to check our email on our Android phones. The place is a good 10-15 minute walk to the river and main parts of town which was just fine for us and the area seemed safe. Two supermarkets (chains) are nearby and a couple of take-away food places. Overall it was perfect for our stay. Afterwards we drove to Faro and then took the train to Lisbon.
