Um espaço que foi perdendo qualidade à medida que se foi vendendo mais aos turistas e aos seus gostos por gourmet, tapas e cocktail. Os preços elevados e qualidade medíocre.

Super liebevolles Restaurant mit herzlichen Personal. Das Essen war ausgesprochen deliziös und mit viel liebe zum Detail.
Selten so gut gegessen und aufmerksam bedient worden!

Nice tapas bar on the west side of the river, small and modernised in a traditional manner. Food very tasty with good portion size. Worth a visit.

Good tapas restaurant. Possibility to book a table.
Some Spanish and Portuguese tapas.
Everything was good.
Not so expensive (around 20€/person) with wine, water, 2 plates per person + desert.
The waiter was nice even if he was a bit busy. To try

We loved the octopus salad however we wish we had ordered the grilled octopus after seeing one being delivered to the table next to us

Petit resto à Tavira très sympathique le patron parle un petit peu français bien sympa une carte de produits frais qui ravira vos papilles si vous passez par là arrêtez vous ça vaut le coup

Cute place, nice service and good food. We had the braised Tuna and the octopus salad. The tuna was really good, the salad was ok but a bit over priced.

Love the tapas. Tried others and they do not compare to here. The sweet potato chips and alioli are superb. We also love the meatballs, the best I have ever tasted. This is our 2nd year back and have still loved the food. Service is good, friendly and helpful. We message to book tables and they are quick to respond. Will definitely be back again.

Tout était parfait. Nous avons pris 3 tapas chacun. Jambon ibérique, chips de pattate douce, aubergine, risotto de champignons, joue de porc et un filet mignon. Pour terminer une mousse de citron et coco.
Un peu de vin pour accompagner ces mets. Tout était bon et savoureux.
Nous recommandons fortement ce restaurant certainement le meilleur que nous ayons fait de tout notre séjour en Algarve

Very slow and unorganized service. Two tables behind us ordered after us and we're served first .They forget one of our order and we actually did need to order it twice and when it arrived was salty and uneatable. We ordered things like salad and other tapas that do not require that much time and needed more than 40min to deliver it. The quality of the food does not compensate the price and time waiting for it.

Un restaurant bien sympa.
Les bruschettas sont très bonnes, je recommande. Gaspacho très bon aussi.
Prix correct entre 3,50€ et 10€.
Poulpe assez spécial, faut aimer, pour ma part j’aime pas trop.
Personnel à l’écoute.
Si vous êtes dans le coin, c’est une bonne adresse pour manger.

Buen sitio para cenar y tomar tapas o platos con mayor cantidad.Nos gusta el pan de ababora, los chips de batata ,las bruchetas de pistacho y miel con queso de cabra y muy recomendable el carril de frango ,quizas veo excesivo la copa de vino ,y no muy llena de 4 a 6€,la cerveza bien, aunque no tenian de garrafa.Ricos postres para terminar ,pero no espectaculares.

If you are vegan, don’t go there. Though everyone was very polite and friendly, they paid little attention to my vegan dietary requirements and brought something not vegan that tasted funky. I asked the waiter many times to confirm that it is vegan. In the end 10 minutes after I left the restaurant I felt very sick and puked 5 times full blast.

Good food and wine not sure that the staff seem to appreciate the custom. Service could have been a lot better and I think the place is slightly overrated as there are better in the town. DGUSTA is a level above.

He estado en Tavira, por cierto que los mosquitos, te comen. Y paseando por la Rua Marcelino Franco. Pasé por la puerta del restaurante "Pausa", nos abordó un individuo, no sé si dueño o empleado, a ofrecernos una mesa, al rechazarla, soltó "que pasa, ¿Que no hay para pagar españoles?"
El individuo, no solo aborda molestando por la calle, sino que además ofende.
No entre en semejante sitio, ni sé como se comerá, pero "bordes" y "groseros" son un rato. Si quereis que os traten con cierta educación, no vayais, No lo recomiendo para nada.
Veo que no soy yo sola la que ha tenido mala experiencia con este sitio. Es increible que quienes viven del Turismo y la Sal (malísima para la tensión), tengan ese trato con quienes vamos a dejar dinero para que puedan seguir saliendo a flote, con su único medio de vida. Porque Tavira sin turistas, se muere de asco.

Staff muito simpatico, mesmo em pleno Agosto e 2 bebés conseguimos reservar uma mesa, muita variedade de pratos mas alguns com algumas falhas. O atum braseado e o molho de soja foram os favoritos, o hummus era um pouco seco e com pouco sabor e o risoto era um balde de arroz num caldo. Foi pena mas esse prato foi uma verdadeira desilusão. Faltam fotos dos camarões com gengibre que eram optimos e do fillet mignon que era bastante tenro mas com um sabor muito aquém do esperado. Mas foi um bom jantar. O preço final foi bastante agradável.

Increíble,vamos por las buenas reseñas. Serían las nueve y poco,el camarero nos ve sentarnos,saludamos y.....cansados de esperar a ver si se nos acercaba lo llamamos y entonces nos llega con cara de pena y nos dice que van a cerrar...a todo esto la terraza llena. No lo entiendo,porque no lo dijo un cuarto de hora antes... En fin,creo que es mi primera mala reseña pero me ha tocado la moral que mirara de lejos yo creo que esperando nos cansaramos.

Numa tranquila noite de verão algarvia a descoberta do Pausa retemperou a noite. A simpatia e a afabilidade dos colaboradores a qualidade dos produtos a apresentação e a boa confecção recomendam uma visita pausadamente. Lista de vinhos curta mas boa.

Le patron est sympathique, les plats sont plutôt bons... mais je ne comprends pas le commentaire qui parle de portions copieuses ! Je suis sorti de table en ayant l'impression de ne pas avoir commencé à manger, et pourtant j'ai un appétit normal.
Alors si vous avez faim, essayez ailleurs. D'autant que du coup, ça revient très cher si vous voulez vraiment manger...

Delicious freshly cooked food. Lovely friendly staff. So glad we stopped by and we plan to visit again before we go home. There was plenty of choice and they catered for our vegan daughter. The portions were very generous and we struggled to finish everything. Very reasonably priced.

We went for simply tapas. We had cuttlefish and croquettes . Both were amazing, some of the best we have ever had. Especially the cuttlefish , my new favourite. Definately recommend !!

We went here for lunch and had 4 tapas, the ham croquettes we're nice but small. The meatballs and baked eggplant didn't taste of much really and the chicken curry tasted of basic curry powder. Nothing was bad, it was just kinda average, if you prefer mild tasting food you might like it more. The food is cheap, service is good, wine is expensive.
The night before we had eaten in the tapas place opposite and it was far better!

Há muitas opções no menu deste restaurante. Os petiscos (ou tapas, como se quiser) vêm em pratinhos com quantidades generosas para se partilhar. Tudo muito bom. As pessoas são simpáticas e atenciosas. Atenção, que, não há multibanco e é de toda a conveniência fazer reserva.

We have been to 3 other regions in Portugal and this restaurant was up there with Ramiro in lIsbon.
The freshness of the food, the flavours, the laid back friendly atmosphere are extremely inviting and homey.

The charming restaurant is hidden on a small street next to the river and offers what one can expect (culinary) from a visit in a typical fisherman's village in Algarve. Amazing tapas for all taste, vegan, vegetarian and omnivorous :)
Highly recommended for a visit in beautiful and wild South Portugal!

Another nice spot for tapas in Tavira. We went on a rainy Saturday in March and were lucky to get a table for two at seven fifteen . Seems family run ,friendly staff ,clean and tidy.

Nette winzig kleine Tapas-Bar (um die 25 eng gestellte Sitzplätze), bei denen die ganze Familie hilft. Die Tapas waren lecker, auch wenn sie uns nicht komplett vom Hocker gerissen haben. Preislich absolut in Ordnung, Portionen so gewählt, dass man sich gut durch die Karte probieren kann.

Geweldige plaats om te eten! We hadden met het gezin hier uitgebreid getafeld en hier allemaal van genoten. Ideaal om meerdere kleine tappas te bestellen en te delen met een groep mensen. De ober was super behulpzaam: Hij bood meteen dekentjes aan (s’avonds in november), We kregen een degustief en hij maakte aanbevelingen zonder te opdringerig te zijn.
De toast met geitenkaas en pisatchenootjes was overheerlijk. De tonijn was geweldig! De buitenkant lekker krokant gebakken, de binnenkant rauw. Het stukje smolt gewoon op je tong weg.
Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

Delicious tapas, good portions and attentive staff. We were two persons and shared 6 tapas dishes, a bottle of wine and one beer each. The tab was 48 Euros. Very well worth the price! I would go here again.

Really pleasant people, delicious food, try the cured tuna and the pork cheek stewed in port, and definitely save room for dessert. Also make sure to book a night or two in advance - it's popular!

Den letzten Tisch ohne Reservierung erhalten (um 18:30) also unbedingt reservieren ! Sehr gutes Essen, besonders der Octopus, die Garnelen und das Bruschetta mit Ziegenfrischkäse, Pistazien und Honig. Der gebackene Brie war für den Preis etwas wenig. Ansonsten Top :)

Tempted to not recommend this lovely restaurant as we want to keep its presence to ourselves.
Tried it once and enjoyed it so much booked for a meal 2 days later then again a following night.
Please recognise that this is a Tapas style restaurant so order what dishes you want from the variety on offer. For us this meant a selection of say 5 dishes between us but you could order less and then add more if wished for.

Lugar pequeño, decoracion muy cuidada. Tapas muy ricas a muy buen precio, totalmente recomendable. El mousse de limao nos sorprendió, espectacular! Comida muy bien presentada y muy buena.
