The rooms are basic, but if all you are doing is using the room to sleep & shower it is perfect. We went out of season so it was very quiet & service a little slow, but staff were friendly. Would use again

We received a very warm and professional welcome from the hotel receptionist and she provided us with a map of the town with recommendations of places to visit and restaurants/bars. This was very useful information as many places in Alcoutim are closed during the winter months. The hotel is located in a very quiet part of town with wonderful views over the river towards Spain and is within easy walking distance of the restaurants,bars,shops and tourist attractions in the town. The hotel is spotlessly clean with very pleasant bar,restaurant and lounge areas. The outside areas are well maintained and the swimming pools and tennis court are excellent. Our room was roomy,well equipped,comfortable and very clean. A buffet breakfast was available for a small extra cost (€6) and was perfectly adequate.

Lovely hotel and staff. Room good but would have been better if we had got a position in the sun given the time of year (January). Staff were very helpful and caring. I would recommend this hotel highly.

Stayed last 2 nights. Had a problem with our hire car this morning after checking out. Drove back to the hotel, not wanting to break down in the middle of nowhere and not speaking Portugese.
What amazing support we received. Offered our room to wait in as it was quite cold. After the receptionist contacted the breakdown company. Then contacted them to arrange transport back to Faro airport for replacement car as ours was not good. Sorry I didn't get your name but we would like to say big thank you.

Situado numa zona sossegada, permite fácil acesso a pé aí centro onde se pode admirar o rio. Os quartos são espaçosos e tem tudo o que é necessário. Recomendo.

Maybe nice but our room was 13 degrees at arrival in November and the fan in the room only helped a little,not nearly enough to be able to be in the room. The lobby was warmer. Haven't seen anything but the tiny cold room with hardly no view at all. We booked room with view of the river and got a tiny window overlooking the pool area, no river in sight. And the toilet in the room is so cold I use the toilet in the lobby instead.

Good hotel next to river and spanish boarder. Breakfast good and snacks available in evening.(no main restaurant.) The bar is good with excellent service and prices.

Recently refurbished hotel in very quiet location overlooking the river. About 10 minutes walk downhill to town, so a bit of a problem that the restaurant was not operating during our mid-November stay. We made do one night with a bar snack of soup and toastie, and the soup was good. Very pleasant and helpful staff.

I stayed for several days in November. Exceptionally quiet. Nice bar/lounge/small restaurant area. No atmosphere. Quite cold at times. Breakfast could be better. 2 days no sliced bread so no toast. 2 days they had bacon and then nothing so this let it down. Today cold scrambled eggs. Breakfast coffe machine served up poor coffee.
Snacks are sandwiches & burger and soup so you have to go out for meals. Outside restaurants need a shakeup. Lobby & reception area looks dead and unwelcoming. They have 4 flag poles outside. Good idea to actually have flags flying to say the place is open for business.
Very clean hotel. Rooms very nice and bright and super clean. Bathroom fine but toilet bowl or maybe seat is small. Not great for bigger bums. Good quality towels. Nice little private balcony. Good blackout curtains. Windows on ground floor have no ability to partially open and to remain secure. Window not easy to open. Wi-Fi excellent.
Bed very comfortable if you have double bad as they fit a thick mattress topper over 2 singles. Plenty of hot water. Could do with tea making facility. Option of bathrobes could be offered especially during colder months. Staff excellent, friendly and efficient and very helpful. Good safe parking. Good range of TV channels with a few English news channels. Aircon good. Nice pool. Nice view over river.
Good potential here but needs a bit of attention to the ambiance. A more welcoming feel would be great. I think the hotel is let down by lack of decent, clean looking eating places. In winter the little town is really dead which may suit some people. Its ok for a 1 day visit but that's about it. Of course summer maybe different. I was happy to leave the area as I felt I was in gods waiting room. The whole area was so dead it made me feel uneasy especially in the evenings as few people around. It was eerily quiet. I felt that even the dogs had given up on the place or they had been instructed not to bark. What do the locals do for fun? Perhaps fun is not allowed!

Hotel de três estrelas muito agradável, bem junto ao Guadiana, com atendimento simpático e eficiente. Pelo menos alguns quartos do piso térreo têm acesso direto o jardim e à zona da piscina. Fica situado a escassas centenas de metros do centro da Vila. Tem 'wi-fi' gratuito.

O hotel tem todas as comodidades e está virado para o rio, tendo uma paisagem linda, e um ambiente ótimo para repousar e ler. Para quem quer passear de carro ou fazer canoagem ou até atividades mais extremas, há muita oferta em Alcoutim ou em Sanlucar de Guadiana.
Há também bons restaurantes e cafés em Alcoutim pelo que penso que é um belo local para ficar uns dias.

O quarto é maravilho, há Wi-Fi em todo o lado, a piscina é espetacular, a vista encantadora e apaixonante !
Todos os colaboradores são extremamente simpáticos e atenciosos, com principal destaque ao Rodrigo. Ele foi muito prestável, atencioso, simpático, um EXCELENTE profissional é uma grande mais valia para este hotel !
Depois disto tudo, acho que três estrelas não definem está maravilhosa e relaxante estadia. Dava 5*

Very pleasant welcome. Hotel was clean and well presented modern and contemporary. We opted for a higher spec room which was spacious and well laid out. Fantastic location on the banks of the Guardiana river. Great fun watching those on the zip wire come over. Breakfast was €6, but had a good selection

Os quartos para além de bonitos são muito acolhedores e confortáveis. Local extremamente limpo. Pessoal muito simpático e super prestável. A piscina é muito boa e com uma vista simplesmente linda. A parte melhor parte da estadia terá de ser o pequeno almoço cujos alimentos são acompanhados de uma lista nutricional. Sem dúvidas recomendo.

Quartos pequenos mas confortáveis, com ar condiccionado, sendo os melhores no res do chão junto à piscina e com vista para o rio. Lugar de lindas paisagens num local romântico. Staff muito simpático e eficiente. Parque de estacionamento amplo. Pequeno almoço variado, bem fornecido e à descrição. Arredores de paisagens maravilhosas e tranquilizadoras. Preços de epoca alta demasiado elevados para o tipo de hotel que é. A descida pelo Guadiana até Vila Real de St António é verdsdeimente linda.

Hotel has a good position on the river, and a lovely pool to relax beside the river. Room was fine nothing outstanding but comfortable with a small outside area. Bathroom, Cable TV and service were all fine. Breakfast is 6 euros but was a very good buffet. We had some issues with the wifi but enjoyed our overnight stay at the hotel. The town/ village is about 10 minutes walk from the hotel. The town/ village has a nice setting on the river and a few cafes, restaurants, including an Indian Restaurant Sheva , which was very good. It is possible to do zip lining across the river and other outdoor activities.

Was upgraded for 5E to a room with view of river and a balcony. This hotel was an unexpected retreat. Very clean ! Small rooms but efficient. Great powerful shower head. Only booked one night and immediately wished I’d booked more. Nice breakfast also. Really pretty little town that had much to see and all walking distance.

We had an amazing stay at Hotel D´Alcoutim. From check-in, bar and cleaning ladies all staff was extremely friendly and helpfull. The breakfast had a lot of variety including home-made cakes, definitely worth it and a good start of the day. Hotel has a nice and quiet location, with view of the Guadiana River. We´ve spent a few beautiful days by the pool, getting to know Alcoutim and there is even the possibilty to cross the river by boat and visit Spain. Would highly recommend!

Absolutely brilliant hotel would highly recommend! Hotel is lovely, newly refurbished and great location 5 mins walk from the town. What makes this hotel is the excellent staff - on hand 24h and always willing to help. Breakfast is really great value at €6 and even the beer is €1.50. Food choice is limited range, but what you can order is fantastic! We actually ditched the real restaurants in town to eat the lovely food they had on offer.

O melhor hotel de Alcoutim, boa relação qualidade preço. Tem estacionamento, excelente pequeno almoço e refeições intermédias, boa piscina com tratamento á base de sal, excelentes vistas. Ar condicionado em bom estado dado tratar-se de uma zona de calor sufocante. Internet free boa. Pessoal muito simpático. Recomendo para se descansar e ganhar energias.

Bel hôtel à 20mn a pied du centre ville en bordure de la rivière Guadiana, nombreux stationnements gratuits autour de l'hotel, belle piscine, chambre propre et bien équipée, écran plat, climatisation, petite terrasse pour fumeur, salle de bain avec baignoire, seul petit reproche la literie un peu trop souple. Gostava de dar 5 estrelas a este hotel, que em muitos aspetos merece, pela relação preço qualidade que oferece. O staff é excelente, o pequeno almoço muito bom pelo preço cobrado, e a vista sobre o rio e tranquilidade do sítio são sem dúvida razoes para voltar. Os quartos superiores, embora confortáveis, tem alguns pormenores que poderiam ser revistos. Mas lá está.... por 55 euros a noite, esteve mais que à altura.

Excelente localização pessoal simpático e atencioso. O rio faz de palco ao chilrear dos pássaros só, de tempos a tempos, cortados pelos gritos afoitos dos corajosos que se lançam desde Saluncar monte acima até Alcoutim na margem do Guadiana cortando o ar numa tirolesa que liga Espanha a Portugal. Que jeito tinha dado á uns anos para o contrabando...

They made us wait two hours for our room. Granted that we arrived an hour before check-in time, but we still had to wait an extra hour after check-in time to access our room. Communication was also quite awful. They never said it would take two hours to get our room, but instead they kept telling us that it would be ready in twenty minutes. And of course... the view of the river they promised us when we arrived was completely forgotten two hours later. I was really hoping that the room would make me forget that initial bad experience. Sadly, it didn't. It was uncomfortable, and really nothing special. I'm most definitely not coming back here.

Hotel renovado, decoração de muito bom gosto, sossegado, tranquilo, o melhor sitio para descansar e não fazer nada.
Wi-Fi disponível, piscina com sombras e vista para o Rio Guadiana.
Pequeno almoço disponível a um custo extra, mas a meu ver, vale a pena.
Só senti falta de um frigo-bar, estavam cerca de 35°C, e não havia forma de manter água fresca.

Beautiful Hotel. Friendly staff. Great location facing Spain just across the river Guadiana and the Zipline from Spain to Portugal. Nice 45 min boat trip up river from thd Hotel. Buffet breakfast €6 not included in the price. Unfortunately no other meals available in the hotel but few nice restaurants within 10 minutes walking distance. Beautiful rooms air conditioned and leading onto the pool. Peacefull and cheap at €45 for double bedroom. Bar upstairs leading onto outdoor balcony overlooking the pool. Worth a visit.

Hotel renovado com quartos espaçosos com AC . A casa de banho e nova com óptima pressão de agua . Os quartos tem uma pequena varanda, os em número par dão para a piscina . Piscina grande muito agradável. Fomos em Junho r está óptimo. Água super quente . Pequeno almoço 5 euros por pessoa , vale a pena já que tem boa variedade . Pessoal simpático. Bom Wi-Fi .

Atendimento péssimo, bizarro, inqualificável. Vir de Lisboa convencido que tinha reserva confirmada e descobrir que afinal o funcionário se enganou e já não há quartos disponíveis... É no mínimo digno do estado a que chegou esta magnífica vila portuguesa, que apesar de magnífica se revela entregue a gente medíocre. Desculpem mas é hora de mudarem de atitude de uma vez por todas.

Precioso hotel a orillas del río Guadiana con embarcadero, piscina y unas maravillosas vistas de Sanlúcar del Guadiana (España) en la otra orilla.
Instalaciones inauguradas hace 3 meses con una extraordinaria relación calidad precio.
Personal muy amable y eficiente pendiente de tus necesidades y requerimientos.
Un remanso de paz y serenidad.
Un sólo pero... pese a la cercanía con España; 2 minutos en lancha motora (1 €), 40 segundos en tirolina y 40 kms por carretera, el idioma español no comparte espacio junto al inglés y el portugués, en folletos, indicadores, carta restaurante, la mayor parte del personal no lo entiende ni lo habla.
No obstante, para mi esposa y para mi un 9.99 sobre 10.00

É um ótimo local para desfrutar o som e o cheiro da natureza! É excelente para descansar ou passar uns dias com a criançada! Tem serviço de Internet gratuita o que facilita quem tem a possibilidade de trabalhar à distância. O pessoal de staff é super simpático, o que torna a estadia ainda mais agradável!
