Für den Anspruch des Hauses war das Personal häufig uninteressiert und sehr zurückhaltend. Check in ist erst ab 16Uhr möglich, Check out aber schon im internationalen Standard um 12Uhr. Spart das Haus an Reinigungskräften, so dass die überforderten Kräfte erst um 16Uhr fertig werden mit ihrer Arbeit? Bei unserer Ankunft um 14 Uhr wurden wir entgeistert empfangen und uns lediglich gesagt, dass zu diesem Zeitpunkt Check in nicht möglich sei. So sassen wir da. Und nun? Kein Angebot, wie man die Zeit überbrücken könnte. Unser Vorschlag, die Zeit am Pool zu verbringen war dann soweit okay. "Willkommen" war das nicht wirklich... Ansonsten ist es ein wunderbares Anwesen, inmitten der Weinfelder, ideal, um nach intensivem Sightseeing die Seele baumeln zu lassen.

A stunning hotel, 10 minutes out of town, with great views overlooking quiet vinyards. 21 suites only, and full 6* service from check in (parking your car for you), through facilities, activities (horse riding, pool), room, meals, to check out. Wed planned to head into town, but having settled into our (upgraded room) we were so bowled over, we opted to just stay in and chill for our overnight stay. I honestly cant remember if I mentioned it was part of our honeymoon trip - so maybe everyone gets a bottle of champagne and a bowl of chocolate strawberries, or maybe that was why, but it was all top notch. The menu is ample but not crazy long and unachievable, but the food was very tasty and well prepared and served. The service was calm and measured, and most staff seemed to be VERY local, and recommended wines from the vinyards they grew up in.The room was tastefully appointed - had everything we needed, and the bed comfortable. Our upstairs suite had a couple of steps between bed and bathroom, which may be an issue for some, but this wouldnt be the case for say pool exit rooms Id guess. Just mention at check in.A great stay, we return in a blink of an eye

This place is lovely! We wound up extending our stay, as the peace & quiet was dreamy. Its a beautiful property situated in a vineyard with wide open park and mountain views. Its located about 10 mins from Setubal, 10 mins from Azeitao, and 20 mins to some spectacular beaches hidden in the park. The breakfast and saltwater pool won me over.

Excelente experiência!! O hotel é um casarão que era da família do atual proprietário, construído no século XVII que está dentro do Parque Nacional da Arrábida e tem muita história. Também vale a pena degustar os vinhos, pois as uvas são colhidas dentro da propriedade.

Não fiquei lá hospedado mas quem me atendeu foi super simpático.

Relais-et-Chateaux should pick up this property, vraiment! Stayed a few nights here on one occasion, had lovely breakfasts, dinner twice, a fabulous private yoga class and a wonderful massage then. Great service from all staff. Also had the privilege of having had dinners here twice more, including for a very special occasion and each time all guests in our party where very impressed. I hope you consider it and are as impressed as we were...

Really mixed feelings about this place. Positives: Dinner staff were fantastic Beautiful location and grounds were stunning. Breakfast was brilliant, with lots of choice! Really nice walks in the grounds Room was clean and comfortable ‘Free’ bottle of wine on check out Negatives: Dinner wasn’t amazing, and certainly not worth the price. The crab was bland and the negro fritas was silly and not edible. The veal was over cooked and my partner wasn’t asked how he wanted it. Staff were unprofessional after an incident where our door came open. Staff obviously heard ‘noise’ in our room and acted very childish afterwards. Not what I expect from adults or from a hotel of this standard. Breakfast staff didn’t even say hi but offered the American investors (they had dinner at the same time as us the night before which is how we know they were there to invest etc) cappuccinos at breakfast. Honestly wouldn’t stay again as I don’t feel It’s worth the price. I rather not had the wine on leaving and had €20 taken off the bill. I have stayed in far grander and friendlier place for less.

Great setting. The grounds offer lovely walks into the nearby hills and vineyards. Restaurant was OK not great. Rooms were nice but you could hear your neighbors due to sound proofing weakness. All in all we had a very pleasant stay.

Tolle Lage in den Weinbergen und sehr historische Unterkunft. Abendessen eher enttäuschend, teuer und teils wenig schmackhaft. Wenig souveräner Service. Kleinste Zimmer billige Ausstattung eher Jugendherberge zu Luxushotel Preisen.

Its amazing how this hotel manages to welcome so many different travelers (solo, couples, family, friends) while leaving a so quiet, soothing place. The view and the environment are beautiful, the restaurant is really good (breakfast included), easy access and parking, two very pleasant swimming pools (I also particularly enjoyed the one dedicated to children, or the parents feel as good as in the « adults pool). thanks to the staff who were smiling and very kind to us

I was with a group of friends and we payed more so we could have an extra bed in one of the rooms. The room was beautiful but the extra bed was super uncomfortable. The staff is not prepared for a 5 star service. We asked for a gin by the pool and they clearly don’t know how to prepare a gin (and it was super overpriced). Besides that: the food is pretentious “gourmet” but lacks quality. I asked for a sandwich at 14:00 and they were only allowed to make the sandwich after 15:00. Ridiculous, lacks the flexibility of a 5 star hotel.

this is a really beautiful and quiet location. The staff was amazing and, although we could only stay one night, we had a great time. The view from the pool is breathtaking! I would highly recommend this property to anyone passing through the area!

I can't say enough good things about Hotel Casa Pamela! Our rooms were spacious, comfortable, bright, elegant, and had BEAUTIFUL views into the nature reserve. Our food and drinks were amazing, and the service in the restaurant was FANTASTIC (Pedro was honestly one of the highlights of the trip!) Lastly, the service was truly unbeatable: Jose helped organize our activities for the day and joined us as a guide and translator and truly made our visit to the region unforgettable. I would honestly recommend Hotel Casa Palmela to ANYONE looking to spend a night or two in this part of Portugal!

We loved this hotel. The staff are so warm and kind. Especially Joao and Luisa in the restaurant. The pool and 70 hectares of grounds are beautiful. We took a fantastic hike through the vineyards and up into the hills. The room was beautiful and well appointed. We drove to the beaches (10 mins away) and had an amazing day there. The highlight of our stay was dinner in the restaurant served by Joao. He went out of his way to make sure we had the best experience and his wine and food recommendations were fantastic. This place feels like a hidden gem and as much as I want to keep it to myself I know it will be discovered. We are already planning another stay next year!

Lovely property - staff expects tips and give major attitude every time you dont tip - it appeared that there was no management onsite - poor service - asked for towels twice - they never came - told in the dining room that bottled wine was unavailable - had to buy by the glass - loved the hotel but staff, other than friendly cleaning lady, were suspect.

Das neu renovierte Hotel ist umgeben von Weinbergen inmitten einer schönen Natur unweit des Nationalparks Arrabida. Es ist sehr ruhig gelegen, die Zimmer sind fantastisch und alles ist sehr sauber. Toller Pool und ausgezeichnetes Essen, sowie ein hervorragendes abwechslungsreiches Frühstück. Das Personal ist extrem freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend.Alles exzellent und eine tolle Atmosphäre!

What a lovely spot. I had a really pleasant stay at Hotel Casa Palmela. With good food (especially the Octopus, and the Mousse au Chocolat) a nice room near to the pool . The staff is cheerful (good english) an the service was great.

O local é paradisiaco, calmo e situado nas proximidades da serra da Arrábida. Os quartos são luxuosos. A vista para a serra quer da Arrábida quer de S.Luis é maravilhosa. O romantismo está penetrado vivamente nas paredes que o duque de Palmela tanto gostava.cinco estrelas.
