Very bad attitude from staff. Was kept waiting whenever I approached the desk whilst they spoke amoungst themselves. When I approached to ask how long I’d be waiting I was told I’ve been waiting 19 minutes and can wait up to 45 minutes. Like 19 minutes is an insignificant amount of time. The bus didn’t arrive for over 2 hours after I landed.

Booked through hoppa Only slight grumble hoppa has said no more than 45 minute wait on arrival but escudo signs said 60 minutes. We left 55 minutes after arrival. Driver in both directions polite and safe. There was a high step onto minibus so if travelling with mobility issues this might be a problem. Otherwise a bargain

One hour in Faro airport. Staff has no idea of timesheets, where are the drivers or anything else. Had to use a uber 86€ To reach my hotel. Thats the biggest fail company in europe. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!!!!!

Requested and paid for a bus to arrive at 9:30am only to be told 24 hours before that we will be picked up at at 7am without any say in the matter. So had to leave our hotel 2 and a half hours early and arrive at the airport with hours to wait for our flight. Complete joke!!

Customer service was absolutely ignorant and offered no indication as to when our shuttle was arriving .. we waited so long and NEVER book this company again.. only gave a one star as no other option

Hi Hoppa, I am shocked at the customer service from Escudo Tours. My father is travelling today and I was told the destination (Pacheco's Guesthouse) is not possible. It is choosable on your website though so I booked it. My father is 75 years old, does not know the area and does not own a phone. I am working and can not pick him up at the time. I called the Escudo Tours office to ask if possible to drop at a Taxi rank to complete the journey. Simple request right? Think again. I was shouted at from the start for as simple. The rudest I have ever had. I hope the calls were recorded. Patricia put the phone down 4 times. She was shouting at me it is not possible, its the rules, its not possible. Long story short. All I wanted to ask is to drop my father at a taxi rank. The guesthouse was on your website to choose. The customer service of Escudo tours is the worst I have ever experienced. I checked online and there are no good reviews on the Escudo Tours company. 1.3 stars on Google reviews. If people could choose less than 1 star they would. Do you know the company at all? Try to call customer sevices and pretend to be a customer with an issue and you will hear how rude and unhelpful they are. I could start to list all the instances of rudeness, but I will now stop now and let you decide for yourself. Do a test call with a problem, please! Just book something and call them with an issue. They are getting a copy of this message, maybe this will make them wake up and stop treating customers bad. If you want to stay in business do not use this company.

Terrible! No return transfer as booked and paid for. Booked and paid for a return transfer from Faro airport. I was emailed a link to confirm the outward transfer, I completed it. The transfer was at the airport and I asked the driver about the return journey as I had no details about that and the link previously sent expired once completed. She pointed to my phone and said future, I asked if I would get email or text, she said yes. I’d be picked up outside the Hilton Vilamoura. Luckily I phoned Escudo at 10.40 of the day of my departure as I’d had nothing. They confirmed I’d booked and paid for a return, but for some reason it was unconfirmed on their system, he said maybe I hadn’t confirmed it online, I said I had no opportunity as they’d sent no link and the original email only confirmed the outward journey and didn’t give the option of confirming the return leg. Once completed it disappears and you get an email saying billing completed. He said he couldn’t schedule my pickup for that afternoon (1.15) - sorry! So I’ve paid for a return I’ve not had. Fortunately Yellow Fish stepped into the breach. If I had left phoning any later waiting for a text or email, it could have been a very expensive and stressful taxi.

Shocking service, as soon as I arrived at their desk I asked if it was the right place and straight away the woman started treating us shockingly shouting at me. We was then charged 16 euros extra for 2 kids despite having already paid an extra 20 euros for their car seats in the first place. Then we got on the shuttle bus AND THERE WASNT EVEN ANY CAR SEATS! Very rude staff. AVOID!!!

They don’t have a ‘0’ star rating or I would gladly select it! Take note of the reviews before using this crowd of cowboys. One hour 15mins wait at Faro airport early afternoon when we arrived on a Monday for my partner to be rudely advised by the agent that it would be no more than 30mins and we had only been there 30mins and the maximum wait was an hour. We had been there 45mins already up until that point! I gave them the benefit of the doubt for the return, having booked the transfer for 13:00 as our flight is at 16:30. The driver turned up at 08:30am, was extremely rude and unprepared to have a discussion when I presented my multiple emails with the details confirming the 13:00 pick up, responding well I have this and you have that so if you need to get to he airport call the emergency number! No thank you, a taxi will suffice now at cost! Incompetent, disgraceful service and in shock that they are allowed to continue as a company given the feedback online! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Not a great service. Late pick up at airport. Then dropped off at wrong hotel. Had to pay for another taxi and 40 minute wait to get us to the right resort. Taxi 25 mins late to pick us up for the airport. Booked transfer through hoppa. Only ever used transfer companies twice in my life, coincidentally both through hoppa, both times a disaster.

For all your Faro transfers, avoid this company and look elsewhere. Severe incompetence and no idea how they can maintain a presence at FAO, let alone a license to operate. Upon arrival at FAO, representative claimed that we were due €50 for our party of 11 to complete transfer from FAO to Carvoeiro, as the transfer was allegedly only booked from FAO to Albuferia. After much persistence, and after showing printed confirmation of transfer, Escudo reluctantly agreed to provide the transfer to Carvoeiro as booked and paid for. For our return transfer to FAO, the transport did not show up. After calling frantically for 30 minutes, eventually a rude and extremely dismissive representative answered the phone. He agreed to follow up with driver and call back. No call back was provided. Subsequent calls ignored. Eventually got through to a second representative who could not have been any less helpful. Extremely rude, dismissive and severely unprofessional. Told us to "make your own way to airport" as the transfer we had booked and paid for was "not coming". Absolute shambles of an operation, avoid at all costs. Lots of other reliable and professional transfer/travel agents at FAO.

I was so worried about our transfers with this company from reading the reviews and in our case they couldn’t have been more wrong. We didn’t have any issues whatsoever. Our flight was delayed by an hour and still, our driver was there for us within 5 minutes, didn’t speak much English but his mannerisms were very friendly. On return, he showed up on time and was very efficient. There was nothing to stress about at all.

!!!DO NOT BOOK WITH THESE!!! We were waiting in the airport for the shuttle bus for nearly 2 hours, staff don’t have a clue what they are doing and are very rude! We were forced to pay an extra €8 for a child seat but when we finally got in the bus there wasn't one there and the driver had no idea what we were talking about. The driver spent a lot of time on his phone during the journey and was driving extremely fast!

This company are a disaster. Waited 2 hours in faro for shuttle bus, and they eventually put us in a taxi with another couple & the driver had no idea where we were going or our accommodation. They never picked us up the morning we were going home, even though we rang them 48 hours before we were due to go home & they gave us a pick up time. We had to pay €50 for a private taxi to airport , ridiculous, rip off company

Had to wait 1 hour and 15 minutes for a car - not happy as we missed a meeting in doing so. The staff at escudo tours were extremely rude and blamed out late flight for the inconvenience- delayed by 20 minutes . Never use this company again ....

After waiting over an hour for our transfer , the young driver was on his phone the whole 1 hour and 40 minute journey , coming back he was 20 mins late and it was the journey from hell. He was driving very erratically ang going way to fast , i heard my husband shout loudly at him as he had seen him drifting off to sleep , to which my husband then watched him for the rest of the journey. He told my husband at faro airport that he only gets 4- 5 hours sleep per night and thats why hes so tired. Ive been been so scared for my life

Meant to travel from luz to faro this morning with Escudo tours. Never received any pick up details and my efforts to contact their office were fruitless. Eventually made other arrangements to catch my flight and cancelled my booking. Hoppa need to find another bus conmpany asap.

I don’t usually write reviews but my experience when I arrived at escudo tours desk at 15.30 today 31/3/20 has forced me to write. I was holding confirmation that my pickup was at 15.40 at Faro airport. The ‘lady’ there told me I would have to wait up to 1 hour for my driver although there were no other customers here, and even though I had several emails from Hoppa that they had confirmed my destination and pick up time with the company providing the driver. She said I should have arrived at 16.05 despite my emails and she continually preached at me was that she was not Hoppa (who the booking was with) and that it was Hoppa’s fault for not providing enough information. Every time I tried to speak to show her several of the emails I had confirming the time, she refused to look and continually spoke over me saying “We are not Hoppa”, over and over (not even ONCE did I suggest they were - after all, Escudo was written above her window and I CAN read?) Then, when I tried to interject she accused me of being rude. Possibly some of the worst customer service I’ve experienced in Portugal. Escudo, is this ‘lady’ the Face you wish to present to your customers??!!? ... and those of your associates Hoppa?? Maybe she was just having a bad day, but that should never be taken out on customers. Tut tut!!

Do not use this company. They are liars. They don"t pick you up and say that they waited for you and you did not appear. Awful customer service. They have ruined our holiday. We waited from 0845 for a 0900 pick up which never arrived. I contacted them and they said the van waited for 10 mins outside hotel. They never told us what time they "waited " from. Hotel staff checked the cameras. There was no van waiting from 0745 until 0940. We tried to explain this but we're told it was on the vans gps. Told to make our own way. 90 euro for taxi. Will be taking this further.

A fuir. Arrivé : une heure d'attente pour remplir le bus et plus d'une heure pour faire 37 km. Départ : Vient nous chercher en retard, oublie une personne d'un groupe à un hôtel, fait demi-tour, tournicote pendant 30 min pour trouver un autre point puis conduit comme un dingue pour essayer de rattraper un peu de retard (feu rouge brûlé compris) : arrivé à l'aéroport moins de deux heures avant notre vol.

Bad politic from the company for pick from the hotel to the airport, at the begining they told me for call on the day before for organize the hour of picking, when I call they just give me 1 option for go at 3h50 to the airport, my plane is at 9h (40-45min of way) soo around 4h waiting on the airport. I book this transfer from Ryanair website, is not recommended, there is many options with better attendance, sometimes sh*** happens!

Do not use . Waited an hour at airport for transfer and did not show up for return trip . Couldn’t contact them as phone permanently engaged .
