I’d give this negative stars if they let us. This is the biggest tourist trap of them all. Absolutely terrible food, terrible service and terrible experience overall. There was one waiter working for the entire restaurant. He read back our order and even still they managed to mess it up. My friend ordered the sardine delicacy and received a cold, salty sausage. The “sardines in tomato sauce” was cold sardines from a can on hard bread with a dot of sauce. The potatoes stuffed with garlic that the waiter recommended for sharing was literally four boiled potatoes (small) with mayo in the middle on a lettuce leaf. We paid 63 euros and hated it. Do yourself a favour and wait 2 hours for Bairro Avillez up the street.

It should be noted, this place has now changed their name to Chiado Garden. Presumably to avoid their bad google rating. The hot sauce was excellent, very spicy, unlike some places where they say it’s spicy and then it’s really just watered down Tabasco. As far as the food goes, I reckon I’ll be lucky if my head isn’t in a toilet bowl within the next 6 hours. Honestly, don’t get the cod plate. Or the pineapple salmon. Or the burger. Actually, save yourself money time and health and STAY AWAY. The waiters were friendly and the boiled potatoes and bread with cheese were OK.

The waitress spoke perfect English, the portions were a bit small, but the food was well cooked. We drank a "Porca de murcas" wine (which was OK) and local beer (Super Bock or Sagres).

One of the worst meals I’ve had in a long time. The Cod was chewy and we didn’t eat most of the meal. The owner even had the nerve to park the car with the blinkers on for 10 minutes blocking traffic while everyone was honking right next to our table. Luckily it was cheap

The cod plate is not good and they don’t let you pay with card if your card is not from Portugal. The staff was nice

We got lucky. They forgot part of our order so we only had to endure some of the awful food. The friendly waiters would be the saving grace if they hadn't messed up literally half of our orders.

Het duurt een uur voor het eten op tafel komt en dan is medium nog doorbakken. De wijn afgerekend en het vlees laten staan. Schandalig!

No te dejan pagar con tarjeta y no te avisan antes, te dicen que puedes ir a un cajero automático. No es nada del otro mundo, el bacalao a la brasa es aceptable. Poca profesionalidad

Restaurante super simpático com excelentes tapas. Valeu a pena a espera para usufruir de tão boa comida e de um serviço tão profissional e simpático . Aconselho o Gallushi, o camarão com queijo e o bacalhau à Brás . Para terminar não abdique do excelente bolo mousse a lembrar o bolo de chocolate das nossas avós . Algumas críticas que li devem sem dúvida referir-se ao restaurante do lado porque em nada têm a ver com este simpático e acolhedor Restaurante . Nada melhor que experimentar .

NOT RECOMMENDABLE - Trap for tourist!! Everything seemed to look good and at first we were attracted by the friendliness of one of the waiters. However, when we were already seated (they also did not let us sit wherever we wanted, even though they said we could sit anywhere) we ordered the food. They brought one of the dishes and the other never came. When we asked the waiter he got nervous and started talking to the boss, it seemed that the food had been served to others. Very unpleasant in the treatment, we were disgusted and without receiving any apology on their part.

The worst place in Lisbon, I ask for a table to eat and drink myself and the gentleman who wast serving says no the tables are for two or more , and I went to the place next door they were great they were happy to have me and so nice service I spent myself 30 euros they were please as well , don't ever go to gallada they are looking just for your Money they don't care about a person

Very bad quality. Felt like I had to be careful not to be poisoned. I saw a girl working in the kitchen who carried out the garbage with the same gloves she prepared the food with. Also totally over priced. I regret ever coming here

The food is very good. We have taken 7 plates and all was goods. Thank you Juliana for your cook. We hope to come again in your restaurant. Thanks a lot. And I don't forgot all the staff with the smile everytime. But I will never come back because they only accept cash. I had to go far away to take cash.

One of our best experiences eating here. Good quality by its price. For two the tour de bacalhau is perfect. One of the best bacalhau a bras we tasted here in lisbon. The BEST thing here is the waiter Andre, really kind, friendly. It's a pleasure to see how he cares the rest of the tables and how he performs his Job. I totally recomend it.

I never rate restaurants but I felt compelled to review this one because it was horrible. STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU WANT FOOD POISINING! Ordered a salad, an egg dish & a sandwich. The salad came first and was ok. The egg dish came 5 minutes later and the eggs were still literally raw. I'm not talking runny.. I mean 100% uncooked. The waiter was unapologetic and simply made sure I was still paying for it. The sandwich never came because the waiter forgot to put it in the computer. We paid 21 euros for a single salad and 3 waters. Absolutely horrible food and terrible service. They obviously prey on unsuspecting tourists, make sure you go to the cafe next door instead.

Excelente restaurante de Tapas. Empregados simpáticos e prestáveis . Queijos tradicionais portugueses todos de óptima qualidade . A não perder as almôndegas e o Gallushi. Preços acessíveis . Esplanada óptima para desfrutar do ambiente do Chiado.

Terribile! Servizio inesistente e scarso... poco capaci di interagire con turisti Stranieri. I bicchieri con l acqua ci sono stati portati a mano in due volte, nemmeno in un vassoio, da una cameriera che appena ha visto che eravamo stranieri si è ammutolita e ha fatto il minimo indispensabile... Piatti senza sapore e senza un minimo di presentazione, unti e bisunti... il baccalà almeno presentatelo senza spine! Te ne va di traverso una di quelle ti rovini la vacanza!!!! Terribile, l unica nota positiva è la location, ma non basta....

Schlechter Service, nicht sonderlich günstig. Geschmacklich eher mau. Nächstes Mal dann doch lieber in die schicker aussehende Snackbar.

Einfach nur schrecklich! Die Teller waren dreckig und das Essen war nicht schmackhaft geschweige denn frisch (super bei Salat). Die Bedienung war ebenfalls eine Katastrophe: kein Lächeln, kennt die Karte des Restaurants nicht, mit Englisch kommt man besser auch nicht (Zitat: "we no have"). Man ist wirklich froh, wenn man wieder weg ist. Eine Pommes von jedem x-beliegen Stand wäre sicher besser und vor allem sein Geld wert gewesen.

Worst experience of Lissabon. Dishes were dirty, waitress had no idea of the menu, salad was old and tasted like crap for 8 euro. The water comes in plastic bottles and in the end they had to go to the kiosk to change money for small change. McDonalds would have been the better idea and i suppose that says everything ....

Local pequeno mas com ótima comida, atendimento muito cordial, boa variedade. Vale experimentar.

Service avec une organisation hors du commun demander un plat en meme temp pour tous et quand tout votre groupe a fini de manger il vous l'apporte ! Aucun geste commercial du fait de la confusion totale du serveur. On avait l'impression que c'était la première fois qu'il prend une commande. Gros problème lors règlement de la facture 2 plats non commandés ont été facturés. Pour finir les photos des plats ne correspondent pas tout à fait à ce que l'on vous sert Bref je vous deconseille.

Worst service ever. We were hungry, but decided not to eat here after waitress forgot to bring us our drinks, messed-up the order, did not open bottled beer and finally when we were ready to order, he went for a pen and came after 10minutes while paying attention to other tables.

Carte très intéressante qui permet de découvrir les produits portugais. Super accueil avec des serveurs qui parlent anglais...
