Absolutely amazing restaurant! The food is very good and unique, home-made from high quality materials. Everything is authentic and the atmosphere is special. Will definitely come back soon! Highly recommend to anyone, regardless if you're looking for Israeli food.

Comida maravilhosa com cardápio predominantemente vegetariano e vegano. Experimentem o Menu Degustação. Vão chegar infinitos pratos deliciosos até fartarem-se. Também acompanha sobremesas divinas e café. O ambiente é intimista e agradável. Recomendo fazerem reserva antes.

Visited with a friend during a visit to Lisbon and it was absolutely delightful. The staff were friendly and helpful. The environment was cosy and comfortable. But most importantly the food was incredible. The bread and starter was amazing and our mains were delicious. One of the best meals I've had in a while. 10/10 highly recommend.

If you are looking for somewhere that locals go to that does not entail Portuguese food, this is the place. On the food side, good ingredients, taste and traditional to israeli cuisine. Beware of very large portions and an inexistent wine selection. All in all, very good value for money.

Came to this place after another place not being able to take us. We were seated at a shared table only until the next reservations arrived so only ordered one appetizer. The filled meat pastry was good but only 2 pieces and waitress brought out homemade bread, 3 spreads and olives which were about 4 euro. Might stop in again if we had more time but due to being rushed this time, it was an ok experience

Cucina etnica molto speziata, non adatta a chi non ama i sapori forti. La carne molto saporita, ottimo il pane e la pita , discreto anche il vino!!! Servizio cortese non invadente. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.

Wow, amazing place! We were so lucky to be the 4 of us, without reservation, and we were able to get a table straight away.
We shared a bottle of white wine, Tosca, which was very good and very reasonably priced.
They serve you immediately some beer bread (!) with 3 different sauces such as carrot, yoghurt and a green one I'm not sure of? All amazingly tasty.
We shared a couple of dishes such as Falafel, Pita bread with hummus and a spinach pita.
A must go! Plus, the environment was so cosy and the total price came as a bargain! Also, very vegan/vegetarian friendly.

I came here to eat as a solo diner and was honestly a bit surprised after sitting down. First I had no plans on eating here, I stopped in while roaming the neighborhood and looked inside and well, it seemed inviting, so I gave it a shot.
The place wasn't busy so I was seated straightaway. The waitress who worked with me was very helpful in picking items from the menu that appealed to my tastes; I went with a meatball pita and an eggplant salad. Both of which were delicious. One thing to note though, the eggplant states that it comes with cilantro/coriander and that's not true unless you specify that you actually want coriander, aside from that delicious.
Prices were great and the mood/music was equally as good. I would definitely recommend the place if you're in the area.

The restaurant was busy when we arrived but despite not having a reservation, they were able to fit us in on a table that was reserved later as long as we were able to leave in an hour which was fine. One of the best falafels I have had! Could tell they were very fresh as soft and right flavours. Very delicious. The pita was soft too.

Had the most wonderful night here! The chef and staff were so helpful and friendly (even after I messed up the reservation time) and we Loved the food!! Divine place for a night out! Felt like I was back in Tel Aviv.

El lugar espectacular, sitio con un encanto espacial, la comida está buenísima, si estás buscando algo distinto y especaes este es tu sitio. La sangría está descomunal! Con una para dos sales súper feliz!! Lo recomiendo sin duda! Falafel especraespec, en resumen si vienes a Lisboa no te lo puedes perder!

Sito nel centro storico, il Barrio Alto, il ristorante dovrebbe essere del genere "etnico". In un locale stretto sono ammassati troppi tavoli. Vengono servite delle salse che contengono: o troppo olio, o troppo aglio, o sono insapori. I cibi sono fortemente speziati al coriandolo, alla menta o al prezzemolo. La musica è a volume troppo alto. In sostanza, se la vostra età comincia con il numero 2, se vi piace mangiare molto condito, se non vi importa che all'uscita dal locale i capelli e gli abiti abbiano lo stesso odore di ciò che avete mangiato, forse potete provare. This was easily some of the best Middle Eastern cuisine I've had in my life.
The restaurant has wonderful ambience and a very kind, genuine staff. Come here and nourish your soul.
Pictured: the veggie shakshuka, which was simply decadent. I also had a date-sweetened lemonade.

Excellent food and service but terrible environment. It's a small space but they accept large groups of people, for some reason the music also loud for a meal place. The result was not being able to keep a conversation, being uncomfortable with the overall noise and being seated too close to the next table and hearing them shout thought the meal.

Sub-par Israeli food, prices extravagantly. I don't see why anyone would go here, unless they live in Lisbon and miss a pale imitation of Israeli good. The hummus is sub-par, the Labaneh was disgraceful, the couscous actually wasn't that bad (if someone drags you here, get that). The wine was priced more fairly than Israel, but that was the only bright point in the whole meal. The service was authentically inattentive. Why in god's name would anyone pay 8 EUR for a bad hummus? If you've never eaten good Israeli food, and you find yourself here, forget you read this review and be happy you don't know what the real thing tastes like.

Who would have thought you'd find top of the line Israeli home-style cooking in the heart of Lisbon. Hummus on hummus on pita on pita. If you love the idea of going to Lisbon, and bacalao isn't your thing then you should definitely make an effort to have a meal here.
Space is on the smaller side, so I'd recommend reservations

Sehr schönes, junges Ambiente und eine tolle Bedienung sind hier vorhanden! Das Essen ist vielfältig und wierklich gut! Man sollte vorher reservieren, das Lokal ist etwas kleiner und der Andrang hoch, was aber beim essen nicht stört sondern gute Laune verbreitet. Würde diesen Ort sehr weiterempfehlen!

Make sure to book a table or you might miss one the best meals of your life! I was very skeptical when our waitress insisted on choosing falafel. I used to live in Israel but it was the first time I liked it! Hummus was amazing, pita was tasty and fresh, eggplant salad was warm and juicy! There were four of us, we had five plates to share and we got so full we couldn’t handle the dessert ;( only to try it next time! Thanks for being so amazing! Beazlaha!

After seeing so many good reviews, we thought this place was good too but it turns out one cannot really trust these as they're clearly biased for attracting people to certain places.
The table wasn't ready for the reservation and we were asked to wait outside until they prepared it, the staff brought 4.10euro bread and sauce on the table without informing us about the dish or the price only asking if they should leave that on the table (and we told them to take it back as we didn't even get to see the menu which has a lot of bread in it anyway), the staff weren't that great in the end as we were hurried a few times. We ordered 1l sangria and they brought 400ml in a jug filled with fruit and ice, staff stating that's 'their size' when asked. They did offer to bring another jug but by that time we decided to leave, so they let us go without paying for the sip we took.

Very popular place so it's a good idea to make reservations. We didn't have reservations but we lucked out and were seated after just a ten minute wait with some wine in hand. They went out of their way to treat us like valued guests. Most other restuants in the area would just turn you away if you didn't have a reservation. The food is fresh and very tasty. We had salad, falafel, smoked cauliflower hummus and wonderful fluffy pita bread. There is also a great selection of wine. The atmosphere is cozy and service is good managing to keep up even at full capacity.

Excellent place to try some Israeli cuisine. The place has a run down feel that immediately attracts your attention. The staff is very courteous and the food is sumptuous. Its a new place and definitely worth a visit if you are staying in Bairo Allto area.

A truly surprising and unforgettable experience.
We were warmly welcomed by the nicest staff we've seen in a while. Since we were there the first time, they offered us a tasting menu, which gave us the chance to try almost every dish on the menu.
The 'tasting' menu was massive, each portion bigger than the last and they never stopped coming.
We could not finish the food, and took some for home and finished up with some great coffee and a short chat with the owner.
Complements to the loveliest staff, amazing chefs and a fantastic owner.
If you are ever in Lisbon, this is the place you don't wanna miss!

Brutal!!! Encontramos este restaurante por casualidad y fue de lo mejor de Lisboa.
Tuvimos que esperar un rato porque no teníamos reserva y todos los trabajadores estuvieron muy atentos con nosotros, nos ofrecieron un aperitivo en la calle mientras esperábamos mesa! Super agradables.
La comida simplemente espectacular...le doy un 10, todo muy bueno, bien condimentado y bien acompañado.

Delicious food, warm and friendly service, great value. This is the perfect place to go and switch it up after trying some of the Lisbon/Portuguese standards. We waited an hour and a half for our table and it was worth the wait. The hostess, I think her name was Laila, was very kind and clear in her service style. She took great care of us and made us feel welcome. The food was fresh, flavorful and texturally out of this world. Can’t wait to come back to Lisbon and dine here. Probably best valued restaurant I’ve found In Lisbon.

I was looking for somewhere in the area and stumbled upon Tantura, so glad I did. There was a little queue, which I am presuming there always is, as its so good. I had to wait for a table but the hostess was really acoomodating and I didn't have to wait that long considering the queue. The atmosphere is good, food delicious and genuinely a great experience, would recommend to anyone in the area.

WOW! Such a great experience coming to this restaurant, we visited Lisbon from Israel and on a Friday looked for a nice place to eat - we found this place and decided what is a better to spend Friday night than by eating Israeli food.
The food is amazing, each and every one of the dishes we tasted had a homemade with love taste to it and it also looked great. We really enjoyed the salad which was a surprise to us because we didn’t really get how the dressing fits the salad - BUT IT DID.
The place also looks really nice and homely.
Has a lot of vegan options!
Prices are reasonable.

אוכל מעולה, שירות מעולה, הכי טעים בישראל ובפורטוגל. 10 מ10 בהכל. הלוואי והיינו יכולים להישאר בליסבון עוד כדי לאכול שוב בטנטורה!! לאבנה מדהים

The worst restaurant in Lisbon. Food lacks taste and very bad service, took an hour just to be served. The bill was very high for the little we ate. Stay away, tourist trap!!

היינו פה בדיוק בערב שהתפרסמה הכתבה ב"כאן". מקום מקסים. האוכל סביר, לא מאוד מרשים ובטח לא פנומנלי . סלט הטבולה היה חתוך גס מדי. החומוס והפלאפל היו טובים אבל בערך 6/10. המחירים סבירים לחלוטין. הצוות שירותי. אם אתם מחפשים אוכל ישראלי דומה כמה שאפשר למקור ובביצוע סביר, זה המקום.

Not traditional Mediterranean food. Humus lacked tahini and corriander in tabouli is sacrilege. However nice presentation, good ambience. It did take some time to get the waiters attention and we were attended to well after other guests who came after us.

삭슈카 계란요리와 피타슈니첼, 후무스 시켜먹었고 다 맛있었습니다. 고수가 후무스 빼고는 모두 들어가니 싫어하시는 분들은 빼달라고 하세요. 가격도 적당하고 분위기도 좋았습니다. 이스라엘 식사를 경험해보고 싶으시거나 해물밥에 질렸다면 가보세요! Every dish we had was satisfaction itself. Reasonable price for good quality food.

Parece ser que es un lugar de moda en la ciudad. Si vas en pareja vas a comer apretado, falrará sitio para los platos. Así que mejor ir en grupo y de paso probarás más platos. Local limpio y servicio muy bien. La comida, la verdad si es buena pero no descubres nada nuevo, comida árabe israelí. Humus, excelente, con albóndigas de carne; ensalada de espinacas, también rica; y unos huevos con pimientos que me recordaban a huevos al plato. Copa y media de vino cada uno, total 38,45, incluídos el aperitivo que no vale la pena cogerlo pues no te da tiempo de probar pues ya te están sirviendo. Lo curioso es que no teniendo que ser una comida salada, en ningún día en Portugal hemos pasado tanta sed despues de comer o cenar, y eso que no se notaba la sal.

Esquisite cuisine, with fine plates mixing Israeli typical food and some Portuguese touch, the result is a gorgeous experience to all senses; the place is a little bit small, but the only thing you feel is a cozy restaurant filled with good music to the ears, awesome food for the hungry body and peace for a tired soul.

Incroyable ! Ambiance trop bien, nourriture consistente, tout ça pour moins de 10€ par personne ! Il y a des plat végétarien et végétaliens mais aussi des plats a base de viande. Tout est parfait ! Merci pour tout !
( attention il y pas mal de sauce dans les pittas a la viande mais la sauce est maison et légère donc tout va bien )

Delicious food lovely atmosphere with very helpful waiting staff. Enjoyed all! Thanks so much just a pity couldn't go again as not open Mondays and flight times and opening times on Tuesday are too close. Would highly recommend!

What a wonderful find in Bairro Alto! We got here at 11pm on a weekday, and everything that we ordered was amazing. This included: fallafel, hamshuka (must get!), hunmus meat, and the dish of the day was chicken with rice. But for me, the standout was the desserts: halva and chocolate truffles! Very comfortable, hip vibe. Was a bit hot inside, could keep the door open or get better circulation!

Absolutely delicious food and great atmosphere. Have been here every night we have been in Lisbon. Would recommend booking a table as it’s always very busy. Staff and chefs were super friendly. Will recommend to my friends :)

The food is beautiful. The eggplant salad is one of the best dishes I’ve eaten...ever. The hummus is incredible and the malabi desert is by far on the list of best dishes too. The waitress was really attentive and gave the greatest service, she really made the meal better by her lovely presence!

Loved the food, loved the place, loved the service, loved the Portuguese wine.
Grate to see and be proud of the Israeli food far away from home.
Anything we tasted, we were four hungry guys was just grate.
On top off all, not expensive!!!

As someone that has roots at the Mediterranean, I can confidently say this is probably the best Mediterranean cuisine.
The food makes you want to lick your fingers and lick your plate ((:
In addition I loved the eclectic chic design of the restaurant! Enough to take a pic at any website to understand. And most of all... the ambiance!
I don’t know how some restaurant create it. But I definitely feel it when it’s there. We had a magical night!

Excellent, authentic Israeli, mizrahi food, awesome atmosphere. Very nice staff and Elal and Itamar are the adorable owners. I felt very much at home there, and enjoyed the homemade food tremendously.❤️

Beautiful experience and will for sure come back monthly. The food is above delicious (from pita, falafel, hummus, everything was above perfect) and the staff was just wonderful and super caring. The ambiance is homey and welcoming, so recommended on all levels (also the prices are just perfect and affordable). Congrats for such place.

Great Israeli food, thoroughly enjoyed it. The people running the place are friendly and they took time to explain all the dishes. The best thing to do would be to go as a big group, order a few dishes and share. Coming from London, the food seemed really good value for money too, which is a bonus!

Excellent Mediterranean food. The pita bread arrives piping hot from the brick oven. The spreads are amazing, great salads, hummus and changing daily specials.
