OMG OMG OMG! Sooooo good. I absolutely loved everything to bits. Really tasty food, very good wine and nice service. The waiters were super friendly too. And the place itself is just magical. Books, books, books and amazing food. Super recommend it!

Charming place with friendly staff! I tried the cod and was delicious ☺️ , my husband and my friend tried the shrimp both were tasty, but the shrimp was overcooked.

We were lucky to find this restaurant after a rainy day in Obidos! The restaurant is located next to the accompanying hotel 'the literate man' few steps outside the citywalls. The ambience was really nice, a spacious, well lit dining room surrounded by bright bookshelves. The service was very tentative and we never had to wait. A guitar player played some quiet songs in the background. As for food and drinks we can really recommend the Prawns and the gin tonics.

Un sitio espectacular. Sin buscarlo, nos hemos metido a cenar en este ¿hotel? ¿restaurante? ¿librería? ¿biblioteca? Y ha sido maravilloso! Encima me he ido con 3 libros comprados. An awesome place in Obidos, a MUST for any book-lover, to eat delicious meals in between thousands of books, in a big salon with shelves plenty of them. What a place!! Moito obrigados por a sua gentileza!!
