This is a real gem. It's in the back street behind the McDonald's in old Town, Faro. The décor is very tasteful. They have used old wine cases to cover the wall, all very artful. The food was fresh and presented well. We had a great seafood meal of sea bass and octopus that had been caught locally.

Food was 4/5 but ALLERGY SUFFERERS BEWARE. Staff was friendly and courteous. I informed our server of my son's peanut allergy. Server spoke perfect English, so no problem there. My son was served a salad with crushed peanuts! Thankfully I noticed, so we returned that. He had a reaction to his salmon though. Probably cross-contamination from the peanut on his salad. Server was initially defensive but then became appropriately apologetic. He said that they reviewed allergy prevention procedures in the kitchen while we were there.

Delicious, typical food and very friendly staff! Polvo à lagareiro was delicious! Will probably go back for a nice relaxed meal!

Visitei com membros da família. Todos acharam a comida razoável. Não posso dizer o mesmo, pois depois de 1:10 (uma hora e dez minutos) de espera, reclamei pela terceira vez que o meu pedido estava demorando e uma atendente veio à mesa e comunicou que o meu pedido não ia mais sair, pois o funcionário tinha esquecido de anotar. Fazer o que? Dei umas boas gargalhadas e saí do estabelecimento.

Très bien! Un peu perdus le 1er soir nous sommes allés dans ce resto car ils servent des plats typiques et variés. Nous avons été très contents car tout est bon. Les produits sont frais et fait maison. Nous avons aussi bcp aimé l'accueil et le service. Je recommande.

Very nice place, close to the center and very delicious food. We ordered different kinds of fish, meat meals and desserts and we we're happy with all of it; big portions and very well prepared and served, prices are also fine.Service was a bit slow and we had to catch waiter's attention a couple of times but all in all it was great. I really recommend it.

A really nice place, smiling waitresses working very quickly, fantastic food and a great dessert menu. Definitely worth a visit.

Good located restaurant with nice staff. The food was nicely served. We ordered fried shripms and cuttlefish for a starter and they were really good. As main a course we have chosen octopus ( I am a big fan of it) and beside that it has been nicely served it has not been as goods as our starters. It was way too chewy.

Bon mais service excessivement long, serveurs sympa mais beaucoup d'erreurs dans les prises de commandes, Climatisation beaucoup trop forte, malgré tout excellent rapport qualité prix.

Fuimos un día de mucho calor y dentro se está muy fresco. Además el camarero nos sugirió cambiar nuestra petición de cataplana por ser un plato muy caliente para ese calor y nos recomendó algo más apropiado aunque fuera más barato. Eso nos demostró que quería dar un buen servicio por encima de hacer caja y nos sentimos muy a gusto en todo momento. Ensalada de bacalao magnífica, buenas sardinas y generoso menú infantil del que comieron dos pequeños. Por último el precio fue bastante bueno. Para tener la 5a estrella deberían cambiar las patatas congeladas por patatas auténticas, que el menú infantil no fueran las típicas varitas de pescado congeladas de cualquier super y, para nuestro gusto, quitar las tripas a las sardinas.

Íbamos con la idea de comer cataplana pero el camarero nos sugirió que era mejor comer algo más fresco por el calor que hacia y así hicimos. Comimos ensalada de bacalao y sardinas. Todo muy rico

Desastre total, no hay adjetivos para describir un lugar tan malo, no dudéis en no sentaros. No entraré a juzgar el trabajo de nadie pero puedo asegurar que me senté en la mesa a las 10 y cuarto más o menos y a las 12 aún no tenía mi plato en mesa. Noe quedó otra que marcharme.

Located in a cute street Staff is incredibly nice and welcoming, and all dishes were succulent, especially their sauce and Fish. I highly recommand !!

L accueil est chaleureuse, le service est bon. Notre plat fut un vrai régale et le prix total fut très très abordable au vue de la qualité des produits. Pour 3personnes(2adultes et 1enfant) 30€ =plat + boisson. Je recommande même si l attente est un peu longue

Comida muy rica a precio asequible. Quizás un poco lentos pero en general bien. El camarero muy atento.

Great restaurant! Service is fantastic, staff is very friendly and speaks English very well. I had the Caldo Verde soup that looks like seaweed but it's actually cauliflower leafs lol, it was good. For main dish I got the Tuna steak in black sesame seeds and it was amazing! The waiter told me the tuna is locally and freshly caught almost daily and it was so apparent in the taste and quality! If you're in Faro don't miss out this place.

Best meal on our vacation. When I return to Portugal I know where I will be eating. We cannot stop talking about how amazing and fresh the food was. Great service as well! Make sure to order the shrimp with garlic!

MUY RECOMENDABLE. Un buen restaurante con muy buena calidad y precio razonable. Los camareros atentos y acertadas sugerencias al cliente. Sobre todo no te engañan. Llegamos y nos comentaron que podíamos sentarnos, pero que si no nos importaba esperar un poco para ser atendidos porque habían llegado muchas mesas a la vez, algo de agradecer.

The food and ambiente are great but the dish sizes are a little bit smaller than expected. Still a very nice option to have dinner.

Lecker lecker lecker! Wir haben hier alles genossen. Bereits die Vorspeise (übersetzt: geschmorter Tunfisch) hatte uns vollends überzeugt. Da hier auch Einheimische essen, gehe ich davon aus, dass die Gerichte authentisch sind. Ich kann das Lokal wärmstens empfehlen.

Came to Faro late, most places were closed or closing soon so me and my daughter had a quick look and decided to take the risk and what a great decision it turned out to be. Our orders were taken pretty promptly, although there was what seemed like a long wait to hungry tummies but it was well worth it. The octopus salad was lovely and tasted as it it had just been caught. The seabass fillets were cooked just right, well cooked and still juicy. The rice with mixed fish had lots of different and plent of fish. Me and my daughter left very happy and planning to go back again. The bill was a reasonable €34 for three mains ordered (we thought octopus salad was going to be small lol.

Segundos platos: Solomillo a la portuguesa= cama de aceite con amago de solomillo; Atun a la Algaravia (supuesto plato tradicional portugues)=No es atun, pescado de color rosado, poco cocinado, sobre charco de aceite y verduras varias. Crimen gastronómico

Portions were OK sized. Price was OK to just packed with flies ruining everything and was dirty in general. Staff were looking very unhappy and angry

Restaurant was not crowded, waited over an hour for a steak, which they gave away to another costumer. Sudeenly the replacement steak only took 15 min. Meet was poor quality, very fatty. Service was not better. Wont be coming again.
