Although I didn't actually end up diving, I had a really positive experience with Kim at Dive Time. I ended up not being comfortable going past 30 feet as the visibility began to lessen significantly. I signaled to Kim that I wanted to ascend, so we went up together slowly. I told him I felt really anxious about the conditions, and he was extremely patient and kind towards me. I appreciate how wonderful Kim was, I didn't feel pressured to try again, and he made me feel at ease about the situation and really cared about my safety. Definitely the best guide I've ever been diving with.

I did two reef dives with Dillon, from Zimbabwe! He was a fantastic instructor and is an amazing talented young man. The visibility wasn't great at times but he made sure to explore and see as much as possible, including my goal to see an octopus!! The skipper Carl (?) Was also fantastic. Don't think twice and book with these guys. Professional service and all great and new equipment.

It was an amazing experience especially for people like us who were first timers with limited swimming experience. Vasco made us feel safe and confident. Thank you Dive time for a wonderful experience.

Me and my boyfriend did two dives in a day here yesterday. Our instructor was DM, Maria. She was patient, sympathetic and reliable. Briefed us thoroughly and we always felt safe. We were a group of 5, and very nice people. The equipment was in the best conditions. Maria also took time to find the best fit for all of us. It was a boat dive, and we had coffee and tea between the dive which was very nice. We went to Mos wall and Mos mamas for the dive. Visibility about 4-5 meters which is quite normal in this area. There were many undersea creatures we could see and we had the best experience! We would always recommend this dive school to others who wants to go diving in Portugal! Thank you Dive Time Team!

A great dive center with a very friendly and professional staff. Everything runs perfectly and the boat is very confortable. Definitely recommanded for your diving experience in Lagos.

Well, I feel like I have to review this place given Katrin's review - my conscience won't stop nagging me since it doesn't match my experience. I notice that all the 1- and 2-star reviews on Tripadvisor are from August 2016, which as I understand was quite recently after Chris took over. We actually went out in May 2017 half a dozen time on a large hired boat and not the RIB mentioned. We did get offered sea sickness pills, which I found odd - I'm guessing Chris had a bad experience with a guest once, they weren't needed. As for the dive, the sites were well chosen and competently executed. They had enough gear to rent, two enclosed showers and the pre-dive briefing was good. I'll rate this as 4 stars only because I can't bear to rate it as equal with a spectacular place I went to in Fuerteventura that has similar diving conditions. That said, he's only has only been running the place for a short while, so that may well change.

At the end of August 2016 we went diving with Dive Time in Lagos, a boat trip with 2 wreck dives. What started as a fun day diving quickly turned in an unwanted, dangerous adventure. The owner, Chris, greeted us with sea sickness pills, apparently the water conditions were changing, yet the sky was blue and the sun was shining. We all know that choppy sea and high waves can be part of the diving deal, so five of us geared up nevertheless and headed to the boat in the nearby marina. As we arrived, the two guides and Chris discovered that the boat was damaged. A segment of the inflatable tube around the boat, keeping it afloat, had been punctured and deflated. Nonetheless, Chris assured us that the boat was stable and could still take us to the wrecks, without checking for further, less visible damage. This was a mistake as we later discovered, and I guess we should have withdrawn immediately from the dive. But what happened afterwards was beyond our imagination, and the confluence of many unfortunate mishaps with what seems a blatant disregard for safety measures on part of the company made us regret that we didn't turn around at this point. You can read the rest of my review on TripAdvisor, there isn't enough space here to account for all the grave mistakes and the level of negligence that we experienced during our trip with Dive Time. It is far from my intention to write a negative review just “because”. However, you will note that there were a series of grave disregards for safety measures, which added up to a dangerous situation. I feel it is therefore my duty, for the good of future customers and the company, to point out the shortcomings so that they can be addressed to prevent a real catastrophe or even loss of life from happening in the future. We noticed the many positive reviews about Dive Time, and we understand that everyone seems fun and nice while things go easy and smoothly. But professionality shows during emergencies, and, unfortunately we had to witness the amateurish organization and equipment of this company.

On Wednesday the 18th of May2016. I did a divetrip to two wrecks of the Ocean Revival Park. Together with Nuno and Sugar from Dive-Time Divingschool in Lagos Algarve. Great diving-centre with excellent staff. Thx guys

Best dives to the Ocean Revival Park, are definitely with Dive time, they have a nice RIB! I went out on a winter day, we went for two dives! We dived to 2 boats of the revival Park. We even were lucky to see some beautiful dolphins! Thank you for the lovely experience and I'm looking forward to the dive to the caves of Sagres!

In agreement with Steve. I have recently completed my Open water certification with Dive time and found not only Chris to be an excellent instructor but the whole team very helpful and reassuring. All of the equipment that I and others used was brand new. I enjoyed me experience so much that I am going to go on more dives with them and intend to sign up for further courses and I cant wait!

in responce to annonamous complinant, i had the complete opposite service from dive time. I found martin and the dive team very professional and friendly, i have been diving with dive time for the last five years and will continue to do so
