Wasn't sure what to expect from the local eateries on arrival. Large selection of fish and seafood as either individual meals or platters. They also do Pizza's and some meat based dishes for those of you who aren't so fond of seafood. I had a pork steak with bacon and egg sandwich which came with a portion of what was essentially chips just curled up. The food tasted good but you need to be a fan of Garlic as the chef definitely likes to add it to everything.... Including the pork steak sandwich...
Very busy on our arrival with a bustling atmosphere. Did take a little while for food to arrive so if you're in a rush might not be the best option. Would go back and try a different option again.

Having read the other reviews, the way to make this a 5 star experience is to be sure you order seafood. That is what they specialize in. Every seafood dish we order was beyond expectation in size and taste. The atmosphere isn't a romantic one with a sea view, but the quality of the sea food is what counts here. Their customer service is a bit gruff, but I think it's just because they are family of seafood chefs, not serving staff. You may also want to request that they go light on the salt.

Não houve nada ,nas vezes que fui , apontar. Tudo impecável, comida ,staff, espaço. Enfim.
Preços razoáveis considerando a qualidade. Espaço localizado na praia de Faro muito bem conseguido. É pena é haver tão pouco espaço e lugares de estacionamento no verão .

What a fabulous find. Despite reviews we thought we’d chance it and so glad we did. The waiter couldn’t have been more helpful and recommended the Cataplana Algarve, it was delicious. Lovely vibe to this bar/restaurant, we are planning a return visit tomorrow it was so good. Also loved the complimentary “fire water” well done Hugo, an attentive and professional waiter with great knowledge. Get there if you can, you won’t be disappointed.

Sehr schönes kleines Cafe, direkt am Strand. Guter Ausgangspunkt um nach der Bica einen schönen Spaziergang am Strand zu Unternehmen oder an dem nahegelegenen Naturschutzgebiet zu wandern.

Cameriere improbabile, nonostante fossimo a febbraio, uso del condizionatore, vino imposto peggio del tavernello (con estremo rispetto per il tavernello), cibo surgelato, mal scongelato e peggio preparato, prezzo assurdo!, se potessimo, metteremmo zero stelle. SCONSIGLIATISSIMO

Worst salad in my life.
Impolite staff. Very slow service. I ordered a salad and told them specifically "no onion" after a decade waiting they came with the salad full of onion!!!
They charge you for a small piece of bread for 0.5 euro!!!
The salad is basically a can of tuna mixed with a can of white beans. Awful experience.

Attention au pourboire ! Cuisine copieuse et savoureuse. Seul restau au Portugal où je suis allé et où l'on m'ait demandé 10% de pourboire, alors que rien ne soit précis sur le menu. Attention arnaque.

Cibo ottimo, sia come ristorante che come snack, ho consumato un ottima bifanas (caratteristico portoghese) e dell'ottimo pesce, sicuramente freschissimo. L'ambiente è informale, direttamente sul mare, quindi possibilità di mangiare anche in pareo. Il personale è gentilissimo, allegro e disponibile. Assolutamente consigliato

A big praise at the whole staff. Thanks for great food, especially the seafood and fish. Why taking pizza and hamburgers when you are staying at a place like this with domistic food from the sea? Sorry, you missed quite the best. Large portions and perfectly grilled. We had a great service with Fernando and the rest of the team. Sometimes desert, liquor and schnaps on the house. we loved it. Thanks a lot.

El sitio no esta mal de precio ni de calidad lo unico que tienes que tener muuucha paciencia por que la cocina es bastante lenta. Y eso que cuando fuimos no estaba ni el 30% de sus mesas ocupadas.

Малюсинький туалет. Очень неудобно. А в остальном вполне приемлимо. Ресторан расположен непосредственно у пляжа. Есть столики на лужайке и под навесом.

Absolut nicht zu empfehlen. Wir waren dort mit sechs Personen essen und alle Gerichte ließen sehr zu wünschen übrig. Thunfisch aus der Dose (mit anschließender Übelkeit) 8,50€, liebloser Burger mit 5(!) Pommes 7,50€ und labberige Pizza 12€. Es wirkte alles nicht frisch.
Das Küchenpersonal holt seine Zutaten direkt aus einem Lager im Vorraum der Toilette, während sie ihre Handschuhe für die Zubereitung der Speisen noch anhaben. Zugangstür zur Toilette und Lagerraum ist dieselbe.
Bei dem Anblick wurde uns allen ganz anders.

Une étoile sur 5 grâce à la cuisine : cuisine traditionnelle très bonne cependant pizza sortie tout droit du congélateur devant nous et service médiocre à deux reprises deux différents jours les serveurs nous demande un pourboire! Restaurant pas conseillé!

Charged €12.50 for frozen, breaded fish and small portion of chips. I’ve eaten tastier birds eye fish fingers. €16 boiled crab was mediocre and didn’t taste that fresh, how can one excuse that when the restaurant is located literally on the seafront? Staff were extremely dismissive - this place is just a tourist trap. If you want fresh seafood, or anything decent to eat at all, you’re better off going into the ocean and catching it yourself.

Contrairement à plusieurs commentaires, nous avons adoré ce restaurant où nous sommes venues plusieurs fois. Accueil agréable, plat copieux et prix raisonnable pour un bord de mer ! Nous recommandons fortement.

Food was okay for the price. Surely if they improved the food slightly or lower the prices they can get higher reviews. I ate the razor fish rice 'Arroz de linguerao'. The razor fish were a bit sandy and tasted like they were frozen before. Not too impressed, wouldn't come back again.

The food was amazing the waiter had recommended the cataplana which is in the platters for two, A local Portuguese dish that is a beautiful dish packed with shellfish, King prawns, prawns, crab, muscles etc in a stew pot sat in a sauce of of the world, it was amazing.
It cost us €40 that filled both of out plates twice! Great price
We also saw them bring out a larger platter that was served in a 3ft long boat that looked beautiful.
Only downside was the toilets missing a toilet seat

Era la primera vez que íbamos a Faro y sin conocer nada entramos en este restaurante que se encuentra justo al lado de un parkin que hay muy grande, y no me he comido unas sardinas más malas en los 40 años que tengo y encima frente al mar (si saben que están malas, por que las sirven?).

Paragem obrigatória na ilha de Faro mesmo junto à praia. Tem comida de excelência apesar de ter preços ligeiramente mais altos, mas que a localização justifica. Tem um staff com qualidade e com muita atenção no serviço a prestar ao Cliente. Recomendo vivamente a parar para almoçar, para um café rápido ou simplesmente para um gelado.

A minha visita ao restaurante foi maravilhosa os pratos que eu e os meus irmãos comemos foram maravilhosos tava tudo muito gostoso e foi o melhor lugar que comi aqui na praia de faro e o atendimento do Marcelo foi ótimo muito atencioso e simpático aconselho a vocês a visitar este restaurante se vinherem aqui ❤️

I gotta agree with other reviewers, service is miserable there. The guys serving there are done and don't care about the clients, for sure. Anyway, at least the cook made a decent sandwich with tuna (5 euros). For a fast food style restaurant with terrible service, the prices could be slightly lower. Main dishes are same priced as mid- to low-high class restaurants.

Um ehrlich zu sein, haben wir gar nicht viel erwartet als wir das Restaurant betreten haben. Der Eindruck eines typischen Touri-Restaurants hat sich bestätigt. Wir hatten einen Burger und Fish & Chips und bezweifeln, dass irgendetwas an den Speisen frisch und selbst gemacht wurde. Man wird satt, sollte aber nicht viel erwarten.

We ate here 3 nights and days of our trio. The food is amazing and so is the service. Try the seabass or the monkfish kebab. Delish! The desserts are all home made and delicious and the pizza is homemade too. So good. Would highly recommend

Good food. However service was like a good Parisian cafe (which mean the waiter was a bit rude but I dont think on purpose.. he is an older gentleman and it is family run.). Apart from that fish was very good and banana split was huge. Nice location. Far from everything. Some dishes in pics.

Poor service by the old dumpy bald guy. He’s had enough I think. But it doesn’t mean he has to take it out on the customers.
Separately to this, I ordered another drink half way through the meal and then never got it. Then when I went to pay they had added it to the bill, I requested it be taken off but got lots of attitude about it. So I guess I’m supposed to pay for something I didn’t have ah?
When stuff like this happens, a little bit of me wonder whether it was because we are a gay couple? But having read some other reviews here, I’m pleased that wasn’t the case.

Had an average meal there, tried to pay by card and he told me it was declined twice, worried all night then rang my bank who said they had not received a request for payment from them! Guess they wanted cash which luckily we had although we were fresh off a plane, won't repeat the visit

After 6 months of travel in South Portugal this was the worst meal we have had, I ordered a Pizza which had to be returned and my partners fish was cheap supermarket deep fryed. the last dish arrived in our group as the first had been eaten. I watched the chef go into the toilet with his food prep glove on his right hand and come out again.

Nice little cafe. Good for a cup of tea and coffee. I cannot honestly give it more than three stars considering the service. Location is not bad, right by the car park and the beach. Be careful before you sit down. Some of the seats have bird droppings on them...

Chiringuito al lado de la misma playa en el cual su personal es muy amable y atento. Estuvieron pendientes de nosotros en todo momento. Calidad precio bastante bueno. Muy recomendable la mariscada (55€) ya que es tal cual viene en la foto y para 2 personas te quedas muy lleno

I ordered a salad here as a main dish but the amount was like a starter... And when I payed the waitress was so kind to allready include the tip when I got my money back. I think it is a bit rude to give 1 star based on one visit but next time I prefer to walk a bit further...

57 min pour une pizza le personnel est pas à l'écoute 20 min pour une carafe d'eau il mérite même pas l'étoile que je leur est mis. Un vieux avec une calvitie qui fais extrêmement mal sont travail ... Je vous déconseille ce restaurant
