This hotel cancelled my booking 6 days before arrival, even though it was paid and confrimed few months ago. I DO NOT recommend this place as it seems to be unreliable.

City House and Happy House are the same place. The reception is in Happy House, where you will meet the delightful Elisa. She emailed me two days before arriving to make sure I knew where I was going and while there was so helpful in all her advice on where to go and what to do. For a two star accommodation it was five star service. Very clean with fresh towels every day. I know where Ill always try and stay anytime Im in Faro.

I spent in "City House" two nights and have the best impressions on this guesthouse. The staff is very friendly, location is in very center, rooms are cozy and you feel there like at home. Kitchen and bathrooms are well equipped, wi-fi is excellent. Highly recommended!

This is more a guest house than a true hotel. I wish the description had been more open about this. For instance, the fact that bathrooms were shared was only visible under more details, the fifth bullet point in the list. The first four points were totally irrelevant and I stopped reading, so I missed this very important point. Although it may be my fault, a crucial factor like this should be part of the short description for the room. Honestly, i feel I was misled. All in all, the place is okay, well located, decent to stay, has a kitchen available and a nice rooftop. However, despite the bathrooms being super clean, I would not pay what I paid for a room that does not have its own bathroom. Additionally, when I got there, the credit card terminal és down and it was suggested to pay cash. In the 21st century, its unacceptable not to take digital payment meetings methods. In the end, the situation was resolved by using the terminal of a sister hotel but the anxiety lasted about ten minutes. Finally, there is no elevator. Although its only one flight up, senior citizens may struggle going to with a heavy suitcase
