Beautiful Moroccan inspired hotel a short walk away from everywhere. My studio was fully equipped and of a good size with a nice charm. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was included and served on the top floor/roof. It included all the normal items, fresh fruit and with hot food made to order. WiFi was hit or miss on occasions but was not too much of an issue for me. Overall I really enjoyed my stay here. Would definitely recommend.

Evitare, assolutamente. Siamo arrivati a Lagos in serata dopo aver prenotato mesi in anticipo una camera doppia in questa struttura tramite Booking.com. Ci siamo trovati davanti la porta sbarrata e, chiamando i proprietari, ci siamo sentiti dire in modo brusco, scortese ed offensivo che non c'era alcuna prenotazione a nostro nome. Grazie a Booking abbiamo trovato un'ottima sistemazione alternativa, ma la rottura di scatole di trovarsi senza un posto dove dormire dopo un lungo viaggio è totalmente imperdonabile.

Great location, walking distance to town centre and beaches. Casa has large clean rooms. Breakfast is very generous Portuguese style.

We loved Casa da Moura. The building has just been redecorated and painted, the rooms have also been updated. The staff are friendly and very helpful. There is no front desk but the service is great. You get a key to the front door and a key to your room, then you are on your own. The breakfast on the roof is good with a nice selection. We loved the pool, a great place to cool off and relax. The rooms at the back on the ground floor are the most comfortable, our room opened right onto the pool. You quite literally took a step out the french door and you were in the pool. The rooms are comfortable and have have a fridge and kettle. There are lots of bars and restaurants a short walk away. The beach is also really close, maybe a 10 to 15 minute walk. We have stayed here once before and liked it just as much, we will stay here again on our next trip to Lagos.

We loved the moorish decor & and peaceful location, on arrival we received a very warm welcome from Petra, who explained everything we needed to know, very helpful, nothing was too much trouble & she also provided us with an excellent cooked breakfast. 5stars to Petra.

Quiet, beautifully decorated Moroccan style.It was like a small apartment with a pool and patio a few feet away. The big breakfast was a great surprise. The only thing that was unfortunate was the mold smell in the rooms.I think a dehumidifier is all they need to have a perfect, enchanting hotel

Spent a wonderful week here. The property is well maintained, quiet location and close to many restaurants and shops. I cannot say enough about the lovely lady who worked so hard to ensure our stay was perfect. Anastasia greeted us when we arrived (there is no reception), cooked us the most delicious breakfasts each morning, kept our room clean and comfortable and assisted with information and requests. Wonderful stay! Highly recommend.

Das Ambiente der casa do moura und die zentrale, ruhige Lage ist sehr schön; Sauberkeit, Service und Frühstücksbüffet sehr gut. Einziger Kritikpunkt: es gab zum Frühstück keinen frischen Bohnenkaffee, sondern aufgebrühten gefriergetrockneten Nescafé.

This is not your standard holiday apartment!The apartment was spacious , two large clean rooms with a balcony with a small kitchen area .The decoration is best described as Moroccan , with wall hanging , rugs and an exceptionally big bed , basically the size of two double beds !The breakfast is delicious , with a wide choice from omelet to fresh fruit , and desserts such as apple flan or tiramisu . Its in a quiet street about 10 to 15 minutes uphill from the town centre .There is a small pool and patio. The towels and bed linen are changed every two days .Its seems to be run by one person .Petra , who does the breakfast cleans , acts as receptionist and is extremely helpful .The the best holiday hotel we have ever stayed in , and we want to return !

Stayed at this lovely unique property. Very well located, quiet but close to everything.Rooms are unique in this historic building that has been carefully restored.Breakfast is an easy pace and sets up the day nicely in the rooftop dining area.Recommend this hotel for anyone looking for something calming, special and boutique in a good lcoation.

This place had a lovely morrocan theme with helpful staff and delicious rooftop breakfasts. Great postion, including ocean views.

There is no reception but housekeeping lady, Petra seems to be in charge so she took our money. Toilet seat was loose, bathroom smelled BAD but Petra said it was the pipes. With a little bit of work and TLC the place could easily be made more comfortable. Dated and worn. Breakfast was excellent and the room/apartment very spacious.

Casa da Moura is a nice located house. Especially the breakfast view from the roof top over the old town and the old city wall is amazing. The breakfast was delicious with a wide range of fresh fruit. Rooms are spacious and comfortable.The heart and soul of this hotel is the nice employed lady from Prague. She foresees customers wishes and tries everything to make them happy.

Hotel im März besucht - noch wird viel renoviert - da fällt halt auch Baudreck an; Zimmer sind im alten Stil und das ist ganz wörtlich zu nehmen, aber sehr gemütlich und ganz freundliches Personal, bemüht die Gäste zufrieden zu stellen

The hotel is quirky, and as they provide a front door key, you are there on your own for the evenings, as the one member of staff, goes home The breakfast was superb in both choice and quality.Our room was very large and despite the age of the equipment, everything worked, just. The value for money was great and we really enjoyed our visit

Rooms were styled in tasteful moorish design king bed was huge and quite a romantic room. More like an apartment due to its spaciousness. We were there in winter so felt quite empty.. However overall a fantastic location..if you have a car to find it. Free parking but not sure if same during summer season.

Internetzugang war aber fast unmögliche Verbindungen. Eingang und treffenhaus war zu dunkel wie ein Geisters Haus.....leider nicht empfehlenswert.

We loved our stay at Casa da Moura. We were a little early for check-in and the receptionist let us put our bags in our room while we went out to explore Lagos until our return at the appropriate check in time. They provided us with a good map as well. Our suite was on the first floor and we enjoyed the colourful décor as well as the hot and cold breakfast on the rooftop overlooking the city with partial ocean view. The hotel is older and some tiles are chipped but it was all very clean. It all added to the charm of the hotel. There is no lift in this building and we were pleased to find our suite on the first floor with a walkout access to the pool area where we relaxed in the late afternoons. the location is at the top of hill within the old wall section of the village but the walk down through the streets to the centre was easy and close by. the staff were a little shy but very friendly and catered to our requests. We had to leave early on our departure so they allowed us early entry to breakfast which was much appreciated. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Nice room with well equipped kitchenette with fridge. Excellent breakfast on rooftop terrace. Good location for touring city, restaurants and shops.

The place is overpriced for the standard of services provided. Personnel is impolite, not showing any interest of helping guests. We arrived at 4pm and there was not towels available for the pool. The room is big but equipped with very decadent appliances and cutlery, very limited chances to cook something unless you want boiling eggs. There's NOT parking available outside, if you are lucky you can find some vacant place but it's a lottery. You need to pay a private parking. Sunbeds are clunky, nearly unsafe, same the umbrellas. The next day we were given towels for the pool: holes, stains, well... embarrassing. During the day, 2 out of 6 sunbeds are kept busy by personnel's sons, using the facilities that hence are not available anymore to customers, besides continuous noise in the pool' s garden. And, room are normally cleaned very late in the afternoon. A disappointing experience, 145 € /night, hugely pricey.

Wir waren seit 2014 das dritte Mal für mehrere Wochen in diesem kleinen Hotel. Das Hotel ist sichtbar in die Jahre gekommen. Leider wird vom Eigentümer die teilweise notwendige Aufarbeitung bzw. Neuanschaffung von Inventar vernachlässigt. Schade, denn das kleine Haus mit seinen gerade 8 Zimmern ist sehr ruhig im oberen Teil der Altstadt gelegen und für alle geeignet, die eine individuelle Atmosphäre mögen und Bettenburgen ablehnen, Restaurants und Geschäfte sind, wie die gesamte Altstadt, zu Fuß in wenigen Minuten gut zu erreichen. Aus diesen Gründen, trotz der kritischen Bemerkungen zum Inventar, schätzen wir die Ruhe und auch die Lage in Lagos als vortrefflichen Ausgangspunkt für die Erkundung der Algarve und des Umlandes.

Ich kann das Hotel nur weiterempfehlen. Die Lage ist wirklich super. Wir hatten ein geräumiges und gemütliches Dreibettzimmer. Das ganze Hotel war sauber und hatte eine schöne Atmosphäre. Das Frühstück war sehr abwechslungsreich - mit viel frischem Obst! Kostenlose Parkplätze in der Nähe. Leider spricht das gesamte Personal sehr wenig Englisch.

We chose this location based on guidebook recommendations. Sadly, the property is overrated. While the location is great, the physical property has not been kept up. The room we stayed in actually had a musty, mildey odor. The pool was clean but tiny. An room adjacent to the pool had doors that opened out over the pool, making it feel awkward when the doors were open (sometimes they were). Outside of breakfast hours, no one seemed to be at the desk. On the plus side, breakfast was well-stocked and the terrace had a pleasant view. We had to make special arrangements to check in after 5 p.m. The staff speaks minimal English.

Couldnt get any information. Once we arrived no one was ever available to help or answer any questions. It was kind of strange not to have a single person to ask for any info. Not one single person around! So if you know Exactly what you are doing and where you are going this place was great! But if you need absolutely anything this is not your place...

Befindet sich in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße, ca. 5-10 Min. Fußweg vom Zentrum. Das Apartment war sehr geräumig und im maurischen Stil eingerichtet. Die Betten waren ok. Sehr sauber! Einen Parkplatz in der Nähe findet man nur mit extrem viel Glück.

Sehr freundlicher Service, tolles Frühstück, erfrischender Pool im Garten, zu Fuß schnell im Zentrum, aber trotzdem sehr ruhig gelegen. Das Auto kann man in der (sehr schmalen) Gasse vor der Unterkunft oder am öffentlichen Parkplatz gleich ums Eck parken. Anfahrt mit Navi hilfreich - ich weiß nicht, ob man sich sonst so ohne weiters durch die schmalen Gässchen durchfahren traut ... Wurde ein paar Tage vor Anreise angerufen wegen der Ankunftszeit. Eingangstor ist immer zugesperrt, man bekommt beim Einchecken den Schlüssel. Kann das Hotel sehr empfehlen!!!

We had a lovely one night stay at Casa da Moura. Overall the hotel was clean enough though some of the furnishings are a little tired. The rooms are small suites which is great as we had our son with us and had plenty of room. We loved the roof deck though it would have been nice if they offered wine, sangria beer, and a small bar menu up there in the evenings. The neighborhood was ok and it was just a short walk to the waterfront and the center of activity which was nice. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The price was reasonable and we liked the Moorish decorations; reminded us of a previous trip to Morocco.

The hotel is located a few blocks away from all of the restaurants, cafes, etc, which my girlfriend and I actually preferred. It was nice to be on a more mellow street, but have everything accessible via a 2 minute walk. Everything was perfect. Staff was very kind. Rooms were clean, spacious. Hotel was charming.
