My girlfriend and I stayed at Mayla for a week in August and had a fantastic time. The facilities are excellent - excellent kitchen, pool, bathroom and the rest. The owners were also very friendly and accommodating, and helped us with board hire and tips for great spots to go. We would love to come and stay again

We had a bit of a disappointing experience. Because of all the great reviews we expected a nice and friendly surf hostel. We stayed in Mayla for 2 nights and 3 days and we never met or saw any of the owners or the staff. We communicated via whatsapp, with i think one of the owners, but there was only a minimum and very slow response. We booked Mayla to do some surfing, but that wasnt possible because all there classes where full...? Maybe i should have booked in advanced, but my experience with other surf hostels is that there's always enough instructors and equipment ready for the guests staying in the hostel.

Cute place, and Jesus is just the friendliest host with great knowledge of the area for food as well as surfing

Casa davvero molto bella, pulita e fornita di ogni servizio.( cucina/piscina). Ma ciò che rende ancora più speciale questo ostello sono i proprietari. Cordiali, disponibili e decisamente simpatici. Consigliata sia per singoli, amici o coppie.

Very relaxed and comfy hostel, the Staff is friendly and the surf teacher a pro - recommended for everyone!

The perfect place to stop to enjoy beaches from Sagres to sines. Well equipped guest house, privates or dorms and a pool. The place is a great base to relax at night and enjoy the beaches by day. The house is owned by a beautiful couple, we guarentee you will extend your stay! @wanderlustaussies

Awesome place to relax, chill, surf and meet cool folks! Atamay and Camilla are super welcoming and make you feel at home. The surf lessons are fantastic! Great place!

Big, cosy, quiet and in a great location. You'll feel like you're staying at a friend's place since the staff is so nice! They told me the best places to go. A great option for a surf holiday as the staff can provide surf lessons to people of all skills, rent surfing gear or just point out good spots. My stay was short but very nice. I'll come back next summer!
