Philip Rankin: It's a nice villa in a lovely area. And private. Lots of space. Clean. But there are a few downsides. The upstairs beds are very hard. Could do with having toppers on them. The is a smell from the drain when you let the bath water go. Could do with a dryer for the utility room. Pool could do with heating. There are a few jobs that need doing around the villa. Possibly an update and paint.

A Google User: Villa Sunny is located in a quiet residential area. It's fairly clean, cleaners also visited during our stay. However, when we arrived, big dirty marks were dropped across the pool area. When the cleaner and pool cleaner visited, this was not washed away so stayed like this all week. The pictures on Solmar website do not reflect the reality of this villa. This villa has so much potential but is far from the luxury villa it's sold as. The outside table was non existent- although we did find it broken in the corner of the garden (see pic). Downstairs in the garage is a dark and dingey pool table room with a further dark bedroom off this. If 8 people were staying, the people who pulled the short straw would be sleeping down here! As we were a party of three we didn't go downstairs. Which was a shame because we would have enjoyed a game of pool but it was smelly and damp in the garage.
The WiFi is pretty awful, bad signal which comes and goes. As we have a business at home, we needed the WiFi but it was unreliable. We did speak to Solmar about this issue and someone visited to reset the router but it didn't make any difference.
As the WiFi was unreliable, it was difficult to get the radio or music online. The TV has very limited English channels and the old fashioned radio has a broken ariel which meant that we struggled to get music around the pool.
The final touches to this villa could have been to a much higher standard. Most of the shower heads leaked water from the top and were unusable. So we just used the one shower over the bath downstairs. In addition, lightblubs were out throughout the villa which made the place even darker. I feel these things should be checked when you're spending a lot of money on a holiday.
Although pool towels were dropped off after asking, pool towels are not included in the rental which wasn't clear when we made the booking. There is 8 sunbeds but only 5 or 6 blue covers for these beds. I presume the others have flown away in the wind, as its quite windy as the Villa is high up.
We wish we'd read a review with this information in it and we might have considered booking somewhere else. Nevertheless, the sun was out and we enjoyed visiting Portugal overall. Probably would not book this villa again.

O Barker é fantástico. Eles instalaram um novo sistema de ar central TRANE há dois anos. Eles me impressionaram como honesto, responsivo e competente. Hoje eles fizeram um "check-up" anual e foram novamente honestos e responsivos. Eles também me educaram sobre as diferenças sutis nos tamanhos dos filtros, ótimos e agradáveis caras de serviço. Recomendamo-los vivamente.

Bem, eu fiquei na loja por uma hora e nenhuma pessoa me pediu ajuda para encontrar algo que eu finalmente me cansei de tentar escolher algo por conta própria e perguntei a um trabalhador que passava se ele podia ajudar, mas ele não podia, então no final eu finalmente encontrei o presente que eu estava procurando. Mas eles tinham acabado de abrir, então eu não pensei que teria que esperar uma hora para que alguém me ajudasse e havia várias pessoas que estavam ajudando outros hóspedes ao meu redor, pois eles estavam comprando coisas muito mais altas do que eu, mas ainda assim.

Que pequeno tesouro... tropeçei nele durante um passeio pela aldeia. Estava à procura de algo para me lembrar do meu tempo em Nova Iorque, e para levar um pedaço dele para casa em Londres comigo. Encontrei a coisa certa. Um poster da cena dos anos 20 da Broadway... dado que os espectáculos da Broadway têm sido a minha companheira nos EUA, isto é muito pungente para mim e tocou um acorde! o bastão era simplesmente fantástico... eu podia ter ficado lá sentada a conversar por mais tempo! obrigada pelo meu adorável café Nepresso...
