Small restaurant tucked away off the beaten track. Only open in the evenings but with sound well cooked local.food. an absolutely evil home.made Piri Piri sauce is on offer if youre brave enough!

Visited twice during our one week stay. It was only a few doors along from our villa.
First visit was with the whole family, and I chose the chicken steak. It was delicious!
The second visit was just my wife and I, and we shared the chicken cataplana. This is like a chicken stew, with vegetables and potatoes. Again it was absolutely delicious.
The service was very friendly and efficient on both occasions.

Kurczak prawie same kości 1/2 kurczaka to jakaś śmieszna porcyjka , do tego blade frytki . Ryż z owocami morza smaczny ale bez rewelacji , a w owocach więcej dłubania, żeby znaleźć kawałeczek czegoś do zjedzenia , więc brudne ręce, chusteczek na stole brak. Drooooogo !!! Taniej jedliśmy w Alfama w Lizbonie

Typisch portugiesisch. Hier kocht die Familie noch selbst. Spezialitäten CATAPLANA MEERESFRÜCHTE MEERESFRÜCHTE REIS. Piri Piri ( Hähnchen) Die Portugiesen essen auch gerne dort. Freundlich. 5 Fussmin. vom Ort, daher kein Trubel in angenehmem Klima. Ein Muss! Gehen,wann immer wir in Carvoeiro ankommen, das ist sehr oft, als erstes dort hin. Leider seit dem 4.11.geschlossen. Winterferien!

Maravillosa..!!! Wonderful!
Estuvimos de excursión en barco con los chicos de mycrew, por cierto fabulosos, y al preguntar donde ir a cenar nos hablaron de este sitio. Fuimos y la cataplana estaba de miedo y hemos vuelto unos días después a por el arroz con marisco también espectacular.. La atención por parte de Rui y los suyos maravillosa, totalmente recomendable. Ojalá podamos volver pronto.

Good quality traditional Potugese food at a reasonable price. Friendly staff as well. Good place to go if you're staying at the Monte Dourado because it is on the hill. It's just a five minute level walk. No need to go in to town for some nice food.

Bem...o melhor arroz de marisco de sempre. Ainda vem a borbulhar para a mesa...simplesmente maravilhoso. O marisco super fresco, sabor bem apurado. Atendimento 5*****. Super simpáticos. Aconselho a todos que venham para estes lados, ou então venham por apenas este arroz de marisco. Vale bem a pena. Comer e chorar por mais. ( por mais, maneira de dizer....Não cabia nem mais um bago de arroz de satisfeita que de lá sai). Amei

Le demi poulet est vraiment petit même dans un plat enfants il y a plus a manger alors mieux vaut prendre un plat enfants à 4,50€ au lieu de 7,00€ pour le poulet

Właśnie wychodzimy, córka zamówiła krewetki z czosnkiem - sumie ok. Moja zupa rybna najgorsza jaką zjaldem w ciągu 10 dni w Algarve- w sumie bez ryby w zupie, zupa warzywna żony smakowała jak mix ziemniaka i marchewki. Coca-Cola była w porządku. Kiepsko. Nie wrócę i nie polecam.

One weekend away with our company. We always eat here, the food is delicious. You have to have patience, but the food is worth while waiting. Together with a nice wine you would love this place. When you are in the neighborhood, pay them a visit.

I ordered the starter prawns at 20 euros. They were tasteless and still had the brown " waste" in them. I have had them all over Carvoeiro and this was a complete letdown for our last meal. My husband ordered the whole chicken, it was really a capon. Very small but tasty. We were hoping to bring some home. The service was good but when I asked for a glass of wine, I was told they would figure it out as they are only listed by the bottle (6 euro for 750 ml). I had 2 small glasses, then charged 6 euros. I should have bought the bottle. Not sure why all the great reviews are here (we read them before we went) but we do not concur.

Calor horroroso!!!..no aconsejan si es mucho la comida que pides y eso no nos gustó .tardan en servirte una eternidad .....el arroz de marisco genial !! No cobran con tarjeta lo cual es un fastidio.

Lugar simples, cerveja gelada e atendimento eficiente. Quanto à gastronomia, pedimos uma cataplana de bacalhau e nos serviram a entrada do paraíso. Atravessaria o Atlântico a nado para viver esse dia em Carvoeiro novamente.

Haben eine Cataplana mit Seeteufel gegessen. Hat hervorragend geschmeckt! Preis Leistungsverhältniss stimmt absolut.

Sehr gutes Fisch- und Fleischrestaurant. Haben eine mega leckere Cataplana gegessen. Am besten vorher reservieren weil es sonst mit einem Platz schwierig wird.

It's worth the walk up the hill to this restaurant...the best meal so far and the staff, very attentive. We had the catch of the day, sea bass and although we had to wait a little while ( because it was being freshly cooked), it was worth it! Everything on the plate was hot. The fish came with head and tail on but don't let that put you off, it was delicious. They do meat too, which looked good also. Definitely recommend Palmeira

Buen restaurante, muy cerca del centro.,pero fuera del ambiente turístico del puerto. Comimos la especialidad de la casa, arroz de marisco, y la verdad que aún que tuvimos que esperar 50 minutos, la espera mereció la pena. Muy bueno el arroz, el trato y servicio.

Bodenständiges, familienfreundliches und -geführtes Restaurant. Guter Service, leckeres Essen - rundum gelungen. Besonders empfehlenswert sind das Chicken piri piri und der Garnelenspieß. Wir kommen wieder!

Fantastic seafood rice. A few minutes walk uphill from the main strip of bars and restaurants if you want real Portuguese dishes this is the place. Great friendly service honest food and good value.

Food was good but half chicken was less than half a chicken and there was little piri piri, swordfish and sea bass was lovely, chicken fillet was great. Desserts were good and reasonably priced. House wine was very respectable. All in all a good meal for a good price.

Unglaublich lecker! Personal und Chef sehr freundlich! Waren zum Essen, 5 Erwachsene und zwei Kinder, haben definitiv die teureren Speisen gegessen, mit Wein und Bier keine 100.- € gezahlt. Und zum Abschluss gab es noch einen “Nachspüler“ auf Kosten des Hauses! Kann man nichts falsch machen! Kinderkarte vorhanden!
Nachtrag, waren nochmal zum Essen da. Hatten Cataplana mit Meeresfrüchten für zwei. Drei ausgewachsene Frauen haben es nicht geschafft den Topf zu leeren. Obwohl es unglaublich lecker war.
