It took us like 5 minutes to be seated. Ordered food quickly and had to wait around 20-25 minutes for starters. And then another half an hour to get main. Flavors of dishes were good but that waiting time killed us.

The restaurant sits in a great position on a cross road into carveoiro. Waiting staff were very efficient and friendly. Service was quick. Would recommend the steak on hot stones. Negative. My 10 year olds burger was cold. The staff took it away. It came back warmed up. They said it wasn't warmed up in the microwave but not very sure about that. Didn't take it off the bill. Won't return.

Really slow service - Took 45 minutes for two starters and another hour for three mains... Waiters were quite hostile I got the feeling that they were focused on upselling and not making our time at the restaurant pleasureable. Food was served to people even though we go to the restaurant first... Once food arrived it was pretty poor I had did have the squid / mussells with side chips ( which were heavy oil) but it was OK nothing amazing however my friends had other meals I.E spaghetti Bolognese which u should AVOID at all costs. My opinion AVOID

Not good, had to wait for an hour. Steak eventually had to search out a waiter to be served. Steak was supposed to be rare and was well done. All in all not a good experience. Will not be going back.

Good place to eat, quick service. Tasty food and good sangria. However, starters are very small and not very appealing.

Very Friendly service. Very good food. We tried the gold bream and grilled swordfish after some Portuguese starters. Delicious. Can recommend this to everybody.

Excellente taverne portugaise! Les plats sont délicieux avec une mention spéciale pour la brochette de poulet. Le patron est très accueillant et il apprécie de parler français. Le café est excellent. Je recommande!

Hauptspeisen sind gut, Nachtisch sind Fertigwaren Eis Kuchen so auch z.B die Knoblauchbutter bei der Brotbeilage. Bedienung war nett, zügige Bedienung und kurze Wartezeit, es war aber auch relativ leer.

After visiting the Algarve regularly for the last twenty years and experiencing some wonderful food and Portuguese hospitality, this was without doubt the most disgusting meal my wife and I have ever had. Even after complaining about the scarcity of fish and the undercooked kebab,along with flavourless fillet steak and raw mushrooms,stale oil drenched French fries ,the “boss” was unrepentant and not even a sign of apology as to how we felt, A complete waste of €65 for a shambolic excuse of a restaurant. We should have done as other reviewers have decided and refused to pay.AVOID THIS JOKE OF AN EATiNG ESTABLISHMENT WITH PERIL

Toegankelijk gezellig restaurant. Typisch Portugese gerechten op de kaart heeft ons aangetrokken.
Top: onwijs leuke presentatie van de gerechten. Cataplana mooi geserveerd en smaakte voortreffelijk. Op de andere tafeltjes zagen we ook erg leuke presentaties voorbijkomen. Onder andere de vleesspiesen die met een brandende vlam werden geserveerd en de vleesjes op een hete steen om te garen aan de tafel zelf. Onwijs leuk.
Tip: we kregen een bord en een glas met brokjes eraf. Niet netjes om dit uit te serveren naar de klanten. Ook moet even gekeken worden naar het toilet dat wel wat onderhoud kan gebruiken. Zowel toilet als de wasbak.

Atendimento muito simpatico. Comemos uma espetada de peixe e marisco, e frango piri piri. Ambos os pratos estavam bons. O espaço tambem é agradável.

Muito bom! Já há alguns anos que vínhamos para o Carvoeiro e esta foi a primeira vez neste restaurante. A comida 5* e o atendimento também! Recomendamos!

Serviço muito bom e atencioso. Dois jantares seguidos, comida boa e pratos generosos a um preço muito justo. No primeiro jantar optamos por menu sardinhas. 7 sardinhas por pessoa. As sardinhas não eram as melhores mas é compreensível, no início de junho ainda estão a engordar. No segundo jantar optámos por cataplana de peixe e marisco. Muito bem confeccionada e em quantidade mais que suficiente. O molho estava qualquer coisa... no final foi colocar o molho no prato fundo, e uma autêntica sopa de peixe. Se não a melhor umas das melhores cataplanas que provei. ( Não foram muitas) Recomendo sem duvida. Voltaria novamente, e provavelmente para repetir a cataplana! E Sem esquecer a sobremesa, escolhemos uma tarte de amêndoa... muito, muito, boa... tivemos de repetir no dia seguinte...

Very friendly staff. We had great meal. I had roast lamb in mushroom sauce and my wife had the chicken kebab which came suspended over a flame. We could have used some veggies but they are not big on those in Portuguese restaurants. House wine was go too. Nice atmosphere and good prices.

OMG, what a hilarious and fun place. Our waiter we code named him Peter Sellers was so much fun. A dry sense of humor but so funny. I had the menu, or daily special was so good, and priced very strong. So much to see, such a glorious little town. Perfect time of year to be here. Everything's well stocked as they head into summer. Well greeted and attended too everywhere. 5* plus location, cheers

No es muy barato por la escasez en las raciones y no muy buena calidad. El bacalao muy seco y alguna ración incluso quemada. La ración de champiñones bastante escasa. Los camareros correctos y el baño limpio.

LOVED THIS PLACE!!! We took a party of 12 to Portugal for a golf trip and ate at this restaurant 4 times...outstanding. Jugs of wine, shrimp appetizer, sea bass....yum!

I recommend you try the Cataplana, is a typical meal in Algarve that's basically a fish soup. Excellent quality.

Net geen 5 sterren omdat we een extra hoofdgerecht moesten bestellen.
Incl voorgerecht.
Dus grote eters.

Very poor service!!!!
We had to ask how long it would take to get our ordered bread, only to hear it was sold out! Come on; bread !!!!
Getting the main menu took more than an hour!!! Kids fell asleep but they did not care a bit! We left without main dish

The food here is absolutely incredible, my husband had steak on a stone and he was very impressed he said it was the best steak he has ever had, and the kebab I had was amazing

Comimos una cataplana que estaba muy buena.
Quisimos que los niños de 6 y 3 años compartieran un plato de espaguetis bolognesa y les colocaron y cobraron 2. Sobró uno entero.
Se agradece que te indiquen cuando es demasiada comida y aquí no lo hicieron.
Vi en otras mesas carne a la piedra que tenía muy buena pinta.

I don't know about the other dishes but the seafood in this place is authentic and exceptional, it is to die for. There was a bit of wait but it is worth every second. I would contradict some of the reviews saying the food was bland. The place caters great Portugese food - not food over flavour and adjusted to suit Indian curry and Turkish kebab lovers. Everything was beautiful.

Deicious food and lovely atmosphere. Not a huge choice for vegetarians but at least there was some - unlike quite a few places we've seen so far. We had steak, sea bass, chicken & pineapple kebab and penne in a tomato sauce. All were excellent.
Update: Second visit a week later. Excellent again. They prepared a vegetable kebab for my vegetarian daughter even though it's not on the menu. Thank you.

Muy buen sitio calidad precio recomendable un par de tapas y una carne ala piedra que la haces tu a tu gusto impresionante un muy buen sitio. Lo único que no ay carta en español pero el camarero te ayuda.

We stopped for lunch. We sat outside under huge parasols where the seating is a few steps up, so away from the busy road. The service was quick and with a smile. We had a fish salad, chicken c salad, a whole squid and the extra large house hamburger. All the food was fantastic and good value. We also had drinks including freshly squeezed orange. Worth a visit.

Bland pasta with very little flavour and even less salmon. Having been in the area for 10 days, this staple salmon dish has been fantastic elsewhere with hugely generous portions.
Pretty poor service and we were here at a very quiet point in the afternoon.
Such a shame as we have had absolutely beautiful food everywhere else we have tried.
Go two doors down the hill! You won’t be disappointed!

With so many options to choose from in Carvoeiro it can feel like all the restaurants are more or less the same, if you're looking for someone to try I reccomend this being your first choice, the simple but charming decor belies the masterful quality of the food. The prawns were some of the best I've had in Portugal and the fish was equally dreamy. The staff are very helpful and provide authentic suggestions from the menu. Top quality in every aspect.

Wir konnten die schlechten Bewertungen zu diesem Restaurant absolut nicht nachvollziehen. Sie hätten uns fast davon abgehalten, in das Restaurant zu gehen. Zum Glück haben wir es dann doch gemacht. Wir haben das Tagesmenü für 10 Euro gegessen. Das war sowohl vom Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis als auch geschmacklich prima. Es gab eine Karotten-Kohl-Suppe, die handwerklich ebenso gut war wie der Fisch zum Hauptgang. Getränke und Kaffee waren im Preis ebenfalls enthalten. Die Bedienung war aufmerksam, der Chef bemüht, Räume und Terrasse für portugiesische Verhältnisse ;-) gepflegt. Und auch für unsere 1-jährige Tochter gab es alles, was wir brauchten: Kinderstuhl, Brei-warm-machen, kinderfreundlicher Kellner....
Fazit: Wenn wir in Cavoeiro wohnen würden, würden wir in den nächsten Tagen sofort wieder hingehen.

Ryba była obrzydliwa, zapach i smak mocno rybny, kilka dni wcześniej ta sama ryba w innym miejscu smakowała przepysznie. Mięso na szaszłyku dobrze doprawione, ale niestety twarde. Ratowały sytuację ziemniaki w mundurkach. Frytki dobre. Obsługa zaganiana, zapomina o klientach. Długie oczekiwanie na jedzenie, a potem rachunek. Ceny moim zdaniem zawyżone w stosunku do jakości.

After waiting 1hr 35 mins for dinner after sitting down and ordering, we received raw uncooked meat and stone cold veg. Absolutely disgusted with this place, I left without paying for the food and many other people were unhappy and another family also walked out without paying.

La comida estaba muy buena , el atún encebollado ( foto ) espectacular , pero no tienen carta en español , el camarero te ayuda un poco , restaurante muy bueno , merece la pena
