Goed hotel, groot zwembad met veel ligbedje. Schoon appartement met lekkere slaapbanken. Sleutel moet afgegeven worden wanneer je het hotel verlaat, 24 uur per dag is er iemand aanwezig bij de receptie waar je de sleutel kan afgeven/ophalen.

Clean and modern apartments, not really child friendly was on 4th floor and balcony bars were broken so had to keep the doors locked at all times, no air con - very expensive for a basic apartment - no kids club, no music and bar is beyond small

Absolutely lovely, staff are the highlight of this place, so so friendly and very helpful and room was great! Highly recommend

You are never sure what to expect when you book a cheap deal but I was pleasantly surprised. The staff have been great. The room is spacious clean and tidy. The kitchen has just been replaced. Beds have new memory foam mattresses and the floor is new laminate. The pool area is well maintained. Well worth trying and definitely lives up to its three star rating.

Very clean hotel and rooms. The best things were the friendly staff and view from the hotel. Grounds were well maintained. Rooms in excellent condition. A few local bars and a spar by the hotel and the old town around 10 mins walk. Would stay here again if in the area.

We stayed here for six nights in September . I have to say the staff was excellent. Sofia went out out her way to help us with booking train tickets and answering all our questions. As well all the other staff we came across were very accommodating. The hotel location was an easy walk down to the main beach area. There is a very good restaurant around the corner on the way to the beach . Incredible specials every night and friendly.The only negative we had was we booked garden view rooms .I would suggest if you do request garden view not to have rooms 001 to 005 as you enter these through the basement.Pool area very nice and lots of room and chairs.We would stay here againRob and JenCanada

The hotel and location are fabulous! The only drawbacks were the lack of aircondioning in the rooms. It probably wouldnt have mattered except that we were there during a very hot spell. The 2 girls on recepton were wondrfulm

I stayed in these Apartments with my husband, 2 daughters and my daughters partner. Lovely Apartments. Very spacious, immaculately clean and lovely sea view. Excellant location. All staff very welcoming and pleasent. Pool bar could have been a bit better. Ran out of beer. Ran out of ice creams.Only one cocktail on the menu. However ,was still very enjoyable. The only reason i would not return to these Apartments is the deposits you have to pay on arrival. We rented three apartments for 5 people. My confirmation said 150.00 euros deposit to be paid on arrival. It did not say per person or per apartment so i assumed it was for the whole party. On arrival the receptionist said as we were a family we did not have to pay a deposit. But if we had, it would have been 150.00 euros per person. I was only required to leave my credit card details. I was very relieved and grateful that we didn't have to pay, but still feel a deposit of 750.00 euros for the one party is extreme. Also, did we not have to pay just because who was on reception that day? Some people had to pay 50 euros,some 100 and some 150. I feel the deposits are very judgemental towards guests and i do not think that is the correct way to treat people. We are all people hoping to have a good holiday. If the deposit is not an issue with you..i would highly recommend these apartments. You will have a lovely holiday. We did.

Have been going to this hotel for the last four years. The location is good, easy walk to the beach and the old square with its bars and restaurants. Hotel staff are friendly, rooms are cleaned every day

Great location, apartment updated except for the bathroom. Quiet apartment complex and although it wasn’t an issue for us some people were complaining about the lack of sun loungers around the pool.

Great holiday, chilled away from the rat race at home. People saying no WiFi in apartment, no TV in bedroom, no bathrobes who are you people ,your supposed to be on holiday, you would have been better staying at home

To begin with, I expected a lot and what did I get?- A trashy room without wifi, functioning toilet and a key to unlock the bathrooms! The breakfast was ok but what can you expect of portugese food? Lol The woman who served the food couldn‘t speak a single word english (!!!) but she was nice. One of the most stupid things was that the reception took 100€ of me, for SeCuRitY ReAsOnS. The pool was cool though. Hope we‘ll never ever cross each others ways. See y‘all.

We spent the month of March at thr Almar Apt/ hotel for the first time. The staff is very friendly, accommodating and helpful; couldnt ask for better!! The hotel is in an excellent location! It is very clean and comfortable. The kitchen could use some updating; we heard it is in their future plans. We will definitely return

Stor leilighet med kjøkken og balkong til en veldig god pris. Beliggenheten er helt grei og det tar kun en 3 minutters spasertur ned til stranda. Eneste minus er at om man får et rom nede i kjelleren så er det så vidt dekning så hotellets WiFi når ikke dit.

The friendly and professional staff are a joy. The rooms are large and comfortable, It is not a luxury hotel but they have all the necessities, there is a two element cooktop and small fridge but only a microwave oven. The beds are very comfortable. There are many good restaurants in close proximity. All requests we made of the staff were handled immediately in a very professional and friendly manner. There are no laundry facilities available which would be a plus for longer term stays. Should I return to Albufeira I would definitely consider another stay at the Almar.

The service was very good and friendly. The apartment was very clean but the smell of damp was not pleasant. The furnishings are tired and a little stained. Its the kind of place I would have stayed at when I was on a girls holiday years ago but no home comforts.

We were a group of 10 males aged between 30 and 50 on a Stag Party. We wanted to be close to the bars, restaurants and beach in the Old Town, so The Almar was perfect at just a 10 minute walk. Before booking I had read reviews that it was very quiet, and on reflection The Almar was not ideal for a Party such as ours. It was indeed very quiet, and as a group booking we had to pay a €50/pp deposit to cover not only damages, but also excessive noise. Having said that, the hotel staff (in particular the female staff on reception) we truly excellent. They were helpful, funny and friendly at all times. I would absolutely without doubt recommend The Almar to any couples/families, and whilst we had an enjoyable stay it isnt really ideal for groups of friends. It could do with WiFi in the rooms too...

We went pretty hard on the first halve of our trip so we were happy to have this comfortable hotel to recupe at. Decor and furniture were pretty modern but the kitchen is a bit dated. No wi-fi in the rooms just to note

Es un apart aceptable, tuve que alquilar un ventilador viejo y pagar extra €3 x día después de pagar €119 x día. Hemos matado 3 cucarachas luego de perseguirla.la piscina muy bien. Esperaba mucho más por 3*** solo aceptable

loved almar would not suit everybody old fashioned .but perfectly clean.great staff housekeeping reception and bar, special mention Fernandez ,he is almar. we will be back next year,almar is so handy to town, I have to say it is more suitable to couples middle age or older.rather than familys.can wait to return.

Although centrally located with a friendly staff - the hotel isn't actually a hotel and more like apartments. The room we booked initially actually didn't have beds and instead 2 couches to sleep on. As a couple this wasn't so great. We were able to upgrade for a small charge however. This upgraded included an amazing view but still 2 separate, uncomfortable beds pushed together. The rooms are quite old and could use an upgrade and some maintenance however they are still very clean. I would still recommend these apartments due to the great location as long as you know what to expect from the rooms.

No tiene aire acondicionado. Los ascensores funcionan muy mal. No tiene aparcamientos si no llegas temprano. Es todo muy viejo. Y por último encontré las camas sucias, sin cambiar y llenas de pelos, por lo cual no me quedé ni cinco minutos pero eso sí tuve que pagar una noche por tener reservado a traves de Booking y me costó cien euritos de nada. No os lo aconsejo para nada.

Está bien situado aunque un poco viejo pero vamos el salón es amplio y la piscina bien. Ideal para un grupo de amigos

good location with great view and pool. rooms were spacious and had all the necessities. front desk staff were very friendly. only complaint was that housekeeping was minimal and could have been better. by the end of the week things were getting pretty dirty. definitely pay the extra for the oceanview rooms.
