Eines der vielen portugiesischen Restaurants mit frischem Fisch. Wir hatten 2x den Tagesfang (Seebarsch) und der war ok. Die Vorspeisen sind dann - wie üblich - komplett auf der Rechnung. Bedienung war freundlich.

Pesce insipido, ma costoso, tavolini minuscoli per massimizzare i profitti. Abbiamo preso una cataplana e se non l'avessimo mangiata in seguito altrove avremmo bocciato decisamente il piatto. Da evitare.

Atendimento tipo xico-esperto, ou seja, ementas para a mesa sem pratos do dia, os mais económicos e amplamente divulgados no exterior. Dose de sardinhas assadas, com 2 de 5 em sangue, que substituíram de imediato, mas sem um simples pedido de desculpas. Experiência a não repetir. Tanto o nome "Alentejano" como a localização "Albufeira-Algarve", merecem mais.

Restaurante grande e turístico. Pedimos camarão frito de entrada, que estava bom. De prato principal pedimos, polvo a lagareiro que estava ok, lula grelhada que estava dura, robalo grelhado ok, e bacalhau de natas excelente.

Service déplorable,
Si vous mangez une olive, vous les payez toutes (ou alors il les comptes, on en sait rien)
Piège à touriste, qui propose de la nourriture locale mais ce n'est qu'une façade. A Albufeira , il vaut mieux manger dans ces restaurant type chaine.
Sinon sortez de Albufeira, vous mangerez pour moitié moins cher et le double de qualité !
Si vous venez a Albufeira pour la fête, cherchez le moins cher et passez votre chemin devant l'alentejano.
Si j'avais pu mettre 0 étoile je l'aurais fait

Portuguese style steak was amazing & highly recommend.
Hanging kebab was dry and one piece of chicken slightly undercooked.. kids loved there carbonara.
Just a heads up: The staff bring to your table without asking or stating there an an extra charge:
bread, olives,carrots, pate and butter.
When questioned was told its a charge per person.
I think this could be better communicated.

Fik stemning og fin mulighed med et par tv-skærme på restauranten som viste Portugal kampen. Udover dét var maden som sådan også fin nok. Jeg bestilte en fillet steak, dog smagte min kærestes sirloin meget bedre og var også dobbelt så stor. Dog var prisen omkring 9€ dyrere for min fillet. Orange var god og frisk.

Really nice restaurant , great service and plenty of food per person to a point it can be too much. Very professional staff and i am sure i have been here before but it is massive now. I will definately recommend this place for portuguese traditional cuisines.

Lovely traditional Portuguese restaurant. Stopped on here on the way past when out walking one day and was delighted at the service and the quality of the food on offer. The prawns were lovely and fresh for starters and the wild bore was also lovely for the mains. That with a glass or two of the house wine and all at a good price. I will done here again in the future.

El tipico “engañaturistas”, se venden como comida tradicional portuguesa y te ponen calamares congelados. Te ponen paté y aceitunas sin pedirlo y luego te lo cobran. Además de malo, caro. ¡Nada recomendable!

Me he sentido timada. Pedí que me enseñaran un postre, me enseñaron otro que yo no había nombrado y me lo pusieron, claro este costaba el doble y yo no vi en ningún momento el que pedí. Cuando vi la factura lo reclamé y me dicen que lo tenía que haber dicho antes de comerlo... Claro pero yo pensé que me estaba comiendo el que había pedido... Es el sito en el que peor nos ha tratado en toda la semana en Algabe...

Piège à touriste, apéritif d'accueil payant, ne les acceptez surtout pas. Les plats sont réchauffés au micro onde pour la plupart. J'ai pu le voir de mes propres yeux étant assis presque aux pieds du cuisto. J'ai voulu commandé du calamar soit disant il n'en avait plu, j'ai donc commandé un steack de thon... Assaisonnement à la sauce tomate accompagné de légumes cuits vapeur, une pomme de terre coupée en 2 et 2 brocolis... 2 verres de soda tout ça pour 27 euros pour 2 en évitant les apéritifs d'accueil. Pas de au revoir ni de à bientôt pour ma part puisque je n'y remettrai jamais les pieds ! Dure expérience presque traumatisante. Je déconseille.

Kleines Lokal das zum Verweilen einlädt, auf der Karte gibt es günstige Menüs aber auch tolle Gerichte von der Karte. Hatte gegrillten Lachs mit Gemüse, und der war sehr lecker.

Refeição muito ruim, pratos frios e péssimo atendimento. O pedido foi Bacalhau ao Brás, por incrível que pareça não foi possível identificar o sabor de bacalhau. Péssimo atendimento e comida! Não indico a ninguém fazer refeições neste local. Por incrivel que pareça ainda fui mal tratado por reclamar da qualidade do prato. Horrível!

Está en el centro de Albufeira y las reviews no son muy positivas, y parece el típico atraco a turistas... pero cenamos 3 por 20 euros por persona o así, con postre, la cataplana típica... y estaba bastante buena! La ensalada de pulpo estaba bien cargada de pulpo, y son rápidos en atender.

Unfortunately a bad experience. We went there for the “typical portuguese” food, but (according to our groups opinion) got the touristic versions, with unfeelingly made dishes. The bachalau was very fishy - why we couldn’t eat without being worried of its freshness. The salmon was fried in a lot of fat instead of grilling. The pizza seemed to be convenience. The waiter spoke our language but didn’t explained the difference between some dish versions we asked for. Prices oriented to the touristic place. Hope to find real Portuguese soul food (as adverted) next time.

Piri-piri chiken was good and sangria as well. People around me seems liked their meal also. Again, in Portugal, take care about what is put on your table. If you eat something, even if you didn't ask for, you will be charge for. So to avoid surprise when the bill arrive, be careful!
Pretty much busy place, and you are not going there for the service..staff looks overwhelmed and you can wait for order or to get the bill. But once you order is done, the waiting time to be served is reasonable.

Had a late lunch/early supper here today. No wait at all and the mixed grilled fish and my partner had the cuddlefish. Both were outstanding. Delicious traditional Portuguese food!

Es war zunächst positiv in Albufeira etwas Portugiesisches zu finden.
Ich bestellte ein bife portuguese (siehe Bild) und meine Frau Frango Piri-Piri. Das Steak war ordentlich und man ging auf meinen Wunsch ein das Steak ohne Schinken zu servieren. Bei meiner Frau stimmte hingegen umso weniger. Das Hähnchen war einigermaßen ok, jedoch die Pommes nicht. Diese war offenbar einfach nur in fett eingetuppt und nicht richtig fritiert.
Die Kellner waren fremdsprachlich nicht unbedingt auf der Höhe.
Die Tische waren leider zu nah aneinander gereiht, so dass man gewollt/ungewollt mit wildfremden zu Tischgesellen wurde.

Parfait, excellent, super bon haha. J’ai demandé des Sardines grillées en entrée que je n’avais pas vu sur la carte et franchement un délice. 5 grosses sardines ! Ducoup plus trop faim pour le plat que j’ai fini à emporté. Un Bacalhau (Moru) façon pêcheur délicieux me rappelant les plats de ma grand-mère !
Je recommande les yeux fermés !

Después de buscar y buscar en este pueblo de guirilandia un lugar típico donde comer y sin que nos claven encontramos este restaurante. La verdad que la comida estaba riquísima. El arroz de marisco para dos, además de buenísimo es abundante, puesto que terminamos comiendo tres y aún sobró algo. Además cocinan mitico bacalao a bras (riquísimo) y bacalao con nata. A nosotros nos encantó. El precio nos pareció correcto teniendo en cuenta que el pueblo estaba hecho para turistas.

My family and I dined in this restaurant during a recent holiday. I ordered the paella and it was really tasty. My wife ordered Piri Piri style chicken, again it was very nice. Similarly my kids seem to reaĺly enjoy their food. Regretfully our food sat on the pass for quite a while as did the drinks we ordered. We seemed to get the worst server in the restaurant who seemed to irritate not only us but his colleagues. Fantastix food and I will return I just hope I get a better server.

Sat inside but felt like I was outside as all windows and doors open. Lovely environment. Food very nice and friendly staff. One minor point hence the four stars - 2 staff arguing in the main eating area! Otherwise recommended.

Definitely would not recomend, worst place we had food by far,the paella was very dry and bland,my little girl got spaghetti bolognaise which looked terrible wouldn’t give it my dog and couldn’t tell her off for leaving her tea on this occasion,they dumped some stale bread on the table with some samon paste (cheap stuff),which we thought was completely and was charged and end of the bill which was around 7 euros not including food bill,if the food wasn’t bad enough that was just insulting :((

Service was rushy, not professional, sloppy and careless. We asked the paella and there were a few negative points (rice was too liquid, meat was dry,, seafood as ok but scarce). 3 french tourists next to us ordered at the same time and the staff delivered one dish wrong to them, and when they politely told that was not what they ordered the staff went full defense mode and didn't trade the dish to them or even cared to listen more. Don't recommend this place at all

It's ok. There seems to be always a line up here but dont be fooled. The food is mediocre at best. The staff doesnt seem too enthused to help. There was even a dispute between the cooks and the waiter that we witnessed. We got the seafood rice. It was enough for 4 people. Price was slight more inflated than other places.

Food was great...and not expensive...highly recommended
Sadly on second visit all went pear sheaped.... we were seated at a smoking table outside which we wanted as we smoke...we were rudely interrupted by a waiter inside and told not to smoke as smoke was blowing inside...not our problem tbh...there was a sliding glass window he could have closed but we were told to move. Then the waiter that was serving gave me abuse for moving tables. I informed him of situation still not impressed he cleared the table we now occupied and preceded to slam and I slam down the table mats on our new table. Only gave us one menu...so here we go...our thoughts...not eating here. Went and asked for manager ..he agreed that we should not have been moved and window should have been closed. He asked me which waiter had caused the issue. Called him over and can you believe the waiter...in front of his manager told me to "get a life". I flipped the lid at this point...and manager just said " I'm just the manager...I dont own it." At that stage I walked out. Unbelievable tbh...totally recommend this is given a miss...as you can see we were there before and food was superb...but sadly as and manager don't know how to treat issues..will never go there again.. Shocking Shocking Shocking way to treat a paying customer.

I would recommend for anyone looking for cheap local cuisine not willing to travel far. Though the food is reasonably priced and local, the service was very poor. Staff aren't friendly and don't seem to care. It's ok, but I wouldn't go back just because of the service.

Scampi was raw in the middle and batter still runny. This happens, in general the food is not that bad for the price but waiter basically accused us of stealing and walked off when we said we didn't want it. Given he was not 8 yrs old absolutley no need for him to act like that.

Food is awful. Got sangria - tastes like juice with lemon and ice. Paella is from yesterday leftovers. Will not recommend at all as for a price they charge there're plenty better places around to eat. Btw, seems that "Local Guide" reviews are "favour for favour" local strategy between the businesses, so be ware...

Truly terrible food. Ordered steak in peppercorn sauce. Steak was covered in a glutinous sauce..with whole peppercorns! Side dish was fries ok. And boiled rice !!! One of the worst meals I've eaten anywhere.

Really good food at very reasonable prices, staff are friendly. It can get busy and you may have to wait a little extra time, but it's worth it. When we were here there were quite a few locals dining here, so that was a really good guide for us. Will be back again on our next visit to Albufeira.

Lovely food in a typical Portuguese restaurant. Dined here twice in our week long stay..tried the sardines which were lovely..if you dont mind the bones ! At night time we had rack of lamb which was delicious. Staff weren't over friendly..though possibly because it was so busy, however nice atmosphere and food .

Not so much dislike as know there are far better eating places at better prices. The central restaurants don't have to try as they get the footfall. Unfriendly staff and very average food.- lukewarm and looked like yesterday's leftovers. Won't return. A shame as a few years ago it was smaller and much much better

A comida não tinha gosto e pelo preço muita pouca. O Slogan é: comida típica portuguesa, mas a comida para um português ou mesmo um Alentejano como o nome do restaurante diz a comida não tem paladar. Foi servida fria entre cinco minutos. Um Bitoque ou Frango Piri-piri não se faz em cinco minutos. Tenho muita pena que um restaurante em Albufeira seja só para agradar os turistas. O serviço não têm simpatia o único que deu um sorriso foi aos clientes foi um estrangeiro que servia mesa !!!!!!!!!

The setting draws you in as it's quite appealing.
The menu offers a nice selection and the few images show great dishes.
The food itself however is just thrown on the plate with no care. Overpriced for what you get. The vegetables taste of nothing. And the staff is very unattentive.
Wasted a great lunch opportunity in such a wonderful place.

Zuerst haben wir uns gefreut, da es so aussah, als ob dieses Restaurant ein bezahlbares typisches portugiesisches Restaurant wäre. Der Kellner war nicht freundlich aber auch nicht unhöflich. Allerdings das Essen war eine Katastrophe. Ich hatte eine Hühnerbrust mit Sahnesauce und Pilzen. Das Essen war sehr fad, bei der Sauce hat man geschmeckt, dass sie nicht frisch war, sondern seit Stunden darauf wartete, dass sie jemand bestellt. Der Octopus von meinem Partner war ok. Aber nichts besonderes, dieser war sehr bitter, man hat es nicht geschafft den bitteren Geschmack herauszubekommen, dazu war unerklärlicher Glibber im Octopus. Die Fischsuppe als Vorspeise war in Ordnung. Wir können es wirklich nicht weiterempfehlen und würden jeden raten 3-4 Euro mehr für ein besseres Restaurant zu zahlen.

Many restaurants on the strip and all have that bland western steak, burger and ribs feel. Come here if you want a sense of a tucked away traditional Portuguese restaurant at a good price.
Food was lovely. Gear range of vegetarian, meat and fish meals and nice house wine by the jug.
Staff were on form, serve fast and are polite.
If there is a queue to this restaurant and you have to wait for a seat...it's for a reason. It's because it's lovely to wine and dine.
If you're walking around struggling to choose a place, this is safe and well worth it.

Também me pareceram poucos empregados e a maior parte deles com pouca experiência. Apostem na formação, paguem condignamente e respeitem os clientes.

Zentral in albufaira gelegen. Essen durchschnittlich, lange Wartezeiten, unhöflich Bedienung und relativ stolze Preise. Zusätzlich bekommt man obwohl unbestellt Oliven Brot und sadinenpaste auf den Tisch gestellt sollte man davon essen muss man dafür zahlen(sagt natürlich niemand). In meinen Augen absolute abzocke und ehrlich gesagt das unverschänteste was mir in einem Restaurant passiert ist.

La atención del personal deja mucho que desear, por no decir lo que tardaron en tomar nota, pedí una Coca-Cola y me la trajeron servida y para colmo me dicen que tengo que especificar si la quería de lata, la comida en sí, no está mala pero, el cordón blue que pedí parecía un San Jacobo de pollo, muy enano y cuando se lo dije al camarero pasó olímpicamente de mí, no volveré más.

Queues round the block for this restaurant, I honestly don't know why our experience was at best average, we have had better food and service for lower prices elsewhere. We waited in the queue to get a table then a long wait to order food then a long wait for the food to arrive and it wasn't great. In my opinion if they had a reservation system instead of people waiting round the block the service and experience would be far better as the staff would not be so rushed and more attentive.

The food is great, pork is the specialist meat In the area and the Portuguese style is a treat.
You will queue to get in t peak times and this fine. If your Portuguese it seems you can jump the queue the rest of us are in, fair enough but on a hot night with a small child it's tough to stand for 20+ mins while other groups just walk in.
Do love this old town though.

Comida típica portuguesa orientada al turismo. La Cataplana está buena aunque las he probado con mas sabor. Está en una zona muy concurrida del centro de Albufeira. Tardan un poco en servir y algunos camaremos están un poco perdidos pero por lo demás esta todo muy rico y el Bacalao excelente.

We were seated and waited over 20 minutes for someone to take our order while several tables of people who came in after us were seen to first. Servers looked and sounded like they'd rather be anywhere else. One of our party ordered rice and vegetables on the side and got three small, soggy potatoes and barely a handful of veg. I ordered a steak medium rare, and when it appeared it was anaemic and pale looking on the outside and well done on the inside (how is that even possible?), splashed with sauce to hide it. Cheap, but definitely not nearly cheap enough for the quality and service. Bathroom is awful, also terrible access for anyone with a pram. Much better places around.

We really didn't like that they ripped up off on the couvert. We paid every item twice, i.e for two people, we paid two Manteiga (butter), which corresponded to the usual two small butter portions etc. We had one basket of bread and obviously paid for two Pao. There was one person alone on the next table and got the SAME amount of bread and other couvert components (same amount of olives, sardine paste etc). We paid each component twice - portions you usually get by default at every other Portuguese restaurant, as ONE couvert.

Nous avons fini par le menacer de partir sans payer et miracle 2 minutes après c était réglé.

Vim cá jantar com a família pensando que iria ser bom mas sinceramente não foi. o arroz de pato nem lhe tocaram, não sabia a nada estava seco, enfim. A feijoada transmontana estava boa, nada a reclamar. Depois a sobremesa, cubinhos de ananás que estavam azedos. Sinceramente não posso recomendar este local para degustar uma boa refeição. Horrible service!
The servers have no manners and don't know the basics of serving food to people. The tables aren't well cleaned and the servers don't care.
The food is authentic and pretty good but not for the price they charge the dishes. The portions are small and come with more "sides" (e.g. salad, chips..) than the actual food you ordered and where expecting to eat.
I don't recomend this to anyone, specially locals.

Fuimos por las buenas opiniones pero la comida estaba muy mala y recalentada. El bacalao estilo "Braz" es un revuelto de bacalao congelado, y cerdo estilo portuguesa es magro del malo super aceitoso con papas de ayer recalentadas... no merece nada la pena.

Fast eine Stunde lang auf ein Gericht von der Karte gewartet - serviert wurde bis zum Pechschwarz verkohltes etwas.( Keine Entschuldigung, nichts. Das Brot scheinte geschmacklich mindestens genauso alt zu sein wie die Einrichtung. Nie wieder hin!

Great food only bugbear was that they won't do smaller versions of adult menu for children. Our youngest loves fish and had to have an adult portion. They, therefore could be a bit more flexible.

Das Essen ging. Wir haben nicht so toll gesessen, der Tisch stand draussen abschüssig.
Was mit am meisten störte...der Koch war alle 5min im Fussgängerbeteich draußen zum rauchen......für mich ein no go.

Serviço muito lento, com a sala vazia e 14 empregados de serviço o prato do dia levou 40 minutos e quando pedi uma segunda bebida, nunca chegou mas após fazer o pedido a 2 pessoas. Para a zona em que se encontram é muito pobre em serviço ao cliente.

Da non credere dopo quasi due ore di attesa ci hanno servito una paella orrenda del baccalà alla griglia cotto al microonde. Capisco locale pieno, ma professionalità 0. Lo sconsiglio vivamente abbiamo mangiato in altri locali molto meglio.

Acima de tudo peca pelo fraco atendimento feito de forma desorganizada e com pouca simpatia. A comida é também muito fraca face ao preço praticado.
Positivo fica a localização e a dimensão da esplanada.

Prix exorbitants pour de la nourriture vraiment bas de gamme, apéritif de bienvenue qui sont payant ! (Non informer), pas de carafe d'eau ( 3euros de litres en bouteille) bref une catastrophe .

Starters olives, bread and pate put on table as soon as you sit down whether you want them or not and are charged for. Mains paella and prawn kebab were nice. Service needs to be improved, one guy in particular bald head, almost like he was doing you a favour serving you! Desserts chocolate mousse OK for 2.25 euro but just thrown in a stainless steel bowl as was lump of creme caramel. I would avoid these if returning but I can't see us doing that after tonight. With attention to detail this restaurant could be really good. So tripadvisor score about right here. After dessert and service, disappointed.
