Auf Grund der guten Bewertungen waren wir dort und wurden leider enttäuscht. Drei Punkte waren ausschlaggebend: 55min Wartezeit, falsche Beilagen wie bestellt und das 350g Steak war durchgebraten und nicht medium wie ausgemacht. Das Fleisch war von guter Qualität, wurde aber sehr lieblos mit Pommes und unmarinierten Salatblättern kredenzt. Sorry aber da hab ich in Abulfeira schon besser gegessen.

Great meal and staff were nice. Patio had decent views too. Moderate price wise. Fillet steak around 22 euro. Novelty of cooking the steak yourself on the hot stone was a bit of fun.

Fantastic food, and great service. Went here 3 times during our stay. The Steak on a stone is just perfect! The staff are very friendly and speak very good English. We did go to some of the other more expensive places but they were not as good, so I would recommend if you want the Steak on a stone to go here!

Reviews don't reflect the quality of the restaurant at all .Food was OK, if a little cheap "pub chain like" ,the interior Could do with a revamp, and it felt a bit like school meals, flakey paint on windows, old decor and tired table and chairs . Pleasant staff, but price certainly didn't reflect the quality, quite expensive for what it was .

Enjoyed a very nice meal here. The crowd I was with was boisterous but good natured. The staff coped really well despite the place being pretty much full. Fairly simple menu but with some veggie options....mainly steak though. Decent toilets. Beer a bit pricey but no worse than anywhere on the strip really.

This restaurant is held in high regard for the stone on which you cook your steak - Meat and ingredients are prepared and placed on the stone seconds before being brought out to you. It's a very enjoyable experience - especially if you enjoy cooking as the prep and washing up is taken care of! The sirloin I chose was tender and delicious, I would also highly recommend the Irish coffee as it is kept traditional with the floating cream the bill didn't leave a scar either! Please visit if you're in Albufeira - it's well worth it and the staff are kind as always.

Liked it here, comfy seats good service and tasty food. Not keen on the hot stone concept as it could over cook your food if you dont keep an eye on it.

Slightly disappointing, my roast chicken was dry. My husband had lamb chops that were fine. Garlic bread for starters was good. They didn't have the dessert we picked. The prices didn't reflect the quality of the meal unfortunately.

This was a memorable dining experience . All of your food is served on a very hot stone and you cook it to your satisfaction. Two of us had surf and turf - steak, prawns, onion slice, tomato slice, green peppers, garlic butter and a jacket potato on the side. Superb! Two had the vegetarian dinner and it came with similar veggies and two large wedges of feta cheese on top.

Amazing food best meal we've had in Portugal. Definatly recommend the sizzling fillet steak platter. Wish we'd found it before our last day.

Just come home from a week in Albufeira we ate at this restaurant 3 times and enjoyed evey meal. If you like meat you will love this place

Wonderful restaurant. Sorry we didn't find it sooner. Delicious food cooked well and properly. Steaks and fish divine. The wines were short list but very good and reasonably priced. Staff were lovely too. 5 stars

It sounded a bit tacky, why cook my own dinner? But really was very nice, lamb rump I had, wife had sirloin steak, I really enjoyed it, something different and fun

I had the surf and turf, and the wife had sirloin. Out of all the places up to press including the old town, I'd definitely put this first, the kids home made chicken nuggets were also spot on.. Will definitely be back before going home, good polite atmosphere. Thanks Richard see you soon

A fun dining experience! The staff is friendly, answered all our questions and gave excellent recommendations. We started with olives (nothing impressive, skip them), garlic bread (amazing! Crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, with just the right amount of garlic butter - served warm of course!), And the devil wings with piri-piri sauce. The sauce came in the side which was great as I only wanted a little while my husband wanted more. Delightful! We both ordered a sizzling stone steak -- not sure why you'd come here and not order one, but we saw a few people who did -- he had the cut filet with pepper sauce (again served in the side) and I had the sirloin with mushroom sauce. Let the fun begin as they brought our sizzling stones. Served with garlic butter to add to the stone when cooking, the aromas begin to meld and made my mouth water while waiting for the steak to cook. The stone stays amazingly hot allowing for me to cook my steak to a well done state that I enjoy. Mix the steak with a bite of the mushroom, tomato, onion and a quick dip in the mushroom sauce - yummy! On a side note, we did go in the off-season (late Nov) so no wait and only a handful of tables.

Always eat here at least twice during our holiday. Friendly staff, efficient service, fine wine and cooking on stone is an experience everyone should try. Very enjoyable

Lovely fillet steak on the stone with very reasonable house red. Although on the doorstep of the infamous "Strip", this restaurant is an oasis of serenity and you are not aware of anything from the noisy neighbours even when dining outside. It was nice to be recognised by the owner as it must have been 3 years since we were last there. We won't leave it so long again.

Les repas sont bons, peut-être un peu chers par rapport à d'autres restaurants de la ville mais les prix restent corrects. Allez-y le ventre vide car les plats sont très copieux. Le cadre est agréable et calme.

Second time I've eaten here with my daughter.Each time the staff have been friendly & the sizzling steak on a hot stone served with peppers,tomatoes,onions&mushrooms.Choice of chips or jacket and peppercorn or mushroom sauce.Yummy!

Sehr nette Leute. Wir haben das Sirloin und das Algarve Steak gegessen. Leider kam es durchgebraten statt Medium. Ansonsten aber alles i.o. Über die Deko lässt sich streiten aber die Leute geben sich viel Mühe und sind sehr freudnlich.

Great restaurant. I had the lamb chops which were delicious and they came with a sauce. Husband had the sea bass which was cooked really well. Definitely worth a visit if your in the area

Didn't know what to expect, both my husband and I had the sizzling plates, fillet steak and lamb rump, looks very basic when it comes to the table but as you cook it and eat, it is delicious and one of the best meals we had in Portugal. Kids enjoyed their home made chicken goujons too. Staff were lovely too. Definitely worth a visit.

Nagyon érdekes megoldás a forró kövön felszolgált "alapanyag", melyet tetszőlegesen magunk süthetünk át a finom fűszervaj segítségével. A kiszolgálás gyors. A személyzet kedves, udvarias.

A big hit with all my family so visiting a few times whilst in the area. Firm favourite was the sizzling stone platter, we opted for chicken and fillet steak with the pepper sauce which are huge portions! Even though it was very busy the service was quick and staff very friendly.

I love going here. The food is lovely and the staff are really nice. Me and my husband were here last year and the staff remembered us which made us feel special. Everytime we go the place is super busy and there can be a little wait between courses but it's well worth it!

Asked for 9 seats guy asked us to wait until he made up a table. Then he brought us to a table for 6 and when I said about needing the 9 seats he started huffing and brought a table and set it separate from the other table and just looked at us. Needless to say we left and went elsewhere. Was not accommodating at all, would advise to avoid this place if you don't want to feel like your hassling your server.

This place was recommended by friends and it didn't disappoint. A couple of us got the 'sizzling steak'. Your steak comes out on an extremely hot stone and you cook it yourself to your liking. Food was excellent. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience, meat comes on a hot stone and you cook it yourself however you like. We were confused initially when they tied bibs on to us but it makes sense with the spitting fat :) Would totally recommend!

Food was lovely but steak on the stone when cooked needed a separate plate as if you left it on the hot stone it became over-cooked. Also, the sauces tend to burn on the stone. Overall a very good meal and reasonably priced.

Nice stone cooking venue, meat was good quality and easy to cook to your own taste, the meat arrives mi-cuit on the stone and is turned as it is served, so with little skill you can enjoy your selection. Portions are good so no problem abd dessert is always an option. Staff are, in general both pleasant and efficient.

I don't know what all the fuss is about. It was grand, nothing special and I'd sit inside, because if it's breezy you'll be chasing your table decorations everywhere and making sure it doesn't take your drinks off the table. Portions were not big and when I asked for veg, well that was a disappointment. I wouldn't be rushing back.

Good food, but small portions and, well you pay for the extra effort to present food on a stone, somehow. I recommend it if you want to enjoy something special without being very hungry.

Brutal is an understatement. Sizzling stone wouldn't even warm your hands on a brisk November evening. Rushed through our meal and required several stones to cook a steak to medium standard, ended up with something akin to roast beef

Cooking your own fillet steak and prawns on your own hot stone is the best meal I've ever eaten. A must for anybody staying in Albufeira.
