The young waiter wasn't friendly. We sat nearby the kitchen and heard him in the kitchen make fun of some French people. Not the right attitude, so a 'No go' I would recommend!

We came here by chance while wandering round this lovely scenic village, and returned 3 more times, once with friends. We all loved the friendly, informal approach, the attentive and helpful service, that catered carefully to my allergies. There is nothing rushed or stressed and there is always a bit of banter and humour. Staff cater to bus trips and tourists and speak good English. We really enjoyed the food, barbecue chicken, pork.... The view is great, nearby donkey, Baltazar, provides the cabaret! We couldn't wish for better!

Si vous venez en Algarve (Portugal), il faut absolument venir voir ce petit village typique "Alte" avec ses ruelles, ses demeures typiques, son Igreja pleine d'histoire, ses fontaines et sa chute d'eau et en profiter pour déjeuner dans ce restaurant " O Folclore", accueil, service, qualité des plats, tout est excellent et tout ceci sous les yeux de l'âne Baltazar, qui est enfermé dans son enclos situé dans le prolongement de la terrasse et qui assure le spectacle, c'est un peut la mascotte du restaurant

We came here on a jeep safari tour.
The meal had been pre booked.
The food was average.
We had soup it was ok.
Then chicken and chips for main which was very nice
And an orange for dessert.

We had dinner here after our 4x4 off road jeep safari. We go a vegeterian burger but unfortunately it was just the patty and no buns. Otherwise the place looks amazing and good food. Do visit baltazar the donkey next door.

Atendimento rápido e simpático, porém, a comida não satisfez... Bacalhau extremamente salgado e com o molho com algum sabor a ranço!

Norhing special covert expensive . 1 person paid 17 euros for a soup and 3 pork belly with ships and rice. Lots of flys and bees around the tables

Fomos visitar as praias fluviais e decidimos experimentar este restaurante. Quando lá fomos havia pouca variedade de comida e não ficamos agradados. Além de ter comido entremeada que vinha acompanhada com xerém, tipico do Algarve, mas que não agradou. A entremeada não era grande coisa e as sardinhas também não. Preço qualidade não agradou... Não é tudo negativo, come-se... mas não será para repetir, a paisagem é agradável.

Pas du tous d'accord avec les autres avis...pourtant nous sommes sympa... on a attendu presque deux heures pour etre servi alors qu'il n' y avait pas de monde. Pas du tous chaleureux. Apres le repas etait bon mais mal reçu .tres déçu.

Lugar bien. Ojo que no es plato del día "menú" como sugiere el cartel de la puerta, es sólo el precio del plato, postre, bebida y café no entra.

A primeira impressão é má, no sentido da espera até que um empregado nos cumprimente... A comida não é nada de especial e pouco rica em quantidade e qualidade... Os pratos são confeccionados na hora e levam muito tempo a servidos... Esperava melhor deste sítio, se calhar para turistas está ok, mas para quem sabe e aprecia restaurantes, é medíocre! Neste almoço, esperei 45 mins por 2 costeletas grelhadas, um punhado de batatas, arroz e uma salada mista... Pobre, muito pobre! Quanto aos empregados, muito desorganizados, lentos e a se fazerem ás "gorjas" dos turistas iludibriados...!

Nice little restaurant. We came here as part of an organized trip. We had soup, chicken, salad and fries. Tasty and plentiful. Watch the hot peri sauce. Burns your insides out!! Balthazar the donkey is the main attraction but watch out, he can nip!! We bought an extra drink which was very reasonably priced.

Leuk restaurant vooral bekend om de op houtvuur bereide kipgerechten. Tijdens het weekend reserveren is aanbevolen. Dan kan het erg druk zijn omdat dan ook de locals komen eten.

Een eenvoudig restaurant met een geweldige keuken, veelvuldig bezocht door de lokale bevolking die zich tegoed doen aan de lokale gerechten! Speenvarken aan het spit is er daar een van! Ronduit heerlijk en dat allesvtegen zeer betaalbare prijzen voor twee personen inclusief verse jus de orange en de appetisers nog geen 25 euro!!!!

Bien reçu (et en francais), bon rapport qualité prix et vue sur la vallée avec en + Baltazar (l'âne dans son enclos)! Nous avons mangé une soupe, un plat, prix du pain, un verre de vin et un café pour 13€,50 par personne....bien non?

Pleasant venue although it sits above the supermarket so we weren't sure at first. Delicious cuttlefish and prawn kebab which was very generous. Would recommend.

We visited for a Xmas Party, so there were 40 of us and the food and service were excellent. Chestnut stuffed Pork, delicious. A great day, we will be back!

Leckeres essen, gut marinierte Schweinesteaks auf Holzkohlegrill. Pommes u.d reis dazu komische Kobination. Aber definitiv gut mariniert,
zartgeklopft und gut gegrillt. Kompliment an die Küche. Inneneinrichtung ist aber sehr bauernhaft, aber im ganzen Ort ist es so, auch das Publikum vor Ort. Der Salat mit Käse von meiner Frau war ok, aber nicht besonders schön angerichtet, passen zur Inneneinrichtung.
Die Haupt Gerichte sind etwas hochpreisig finde ich , von 8-15 euro da schlagen schon die Touristen Preise voll durch auf dem Lande. Da fragt man sich warum ? Wenn man in den Touristen Orten teilweise günstiger essen kann mit mehr Auswahl. Ich habe sogar gehört es gibt eine Winter und Sommerkarte mit anderen Preisen. Die steigenden Touristenzahlen, bringt Goldgräberstimmung hervor oder macht träge. War aber in Griechenland auch so....bis der Absturz kam. Griechenland deutlich günstiger in 2017 als in Portugal auch Spanien. Ich war dort im gleichem Jahr und konnte die drei Länder gut vergleichen als Tourist.
