C'est une petite maison typique portugaise sur trois niveaux. Bien équipée, propriétaire charmante. L'endroit est calme, reposant, zen. Vous serez bercé la nuit par la petite rivière alimentée par des sources en provenances des monts qui entourent Alte. Une belle halte et dans un monde bien réel. Si vous recherchez le bling bling et si vous préférez le monde virtuel passez votre chemin. Vous êtes au Portugal, au vrai Portugal. Merci Maria de Fatima

The place is not very nice, there is ugly dirty moldy mini mini bathroom 2qm with toilet, no windows in bathroom, no window in kitchen where you have to take breakfast, it s very dark. When you open door in kitchen, you have cars coming from corner and parking just in front of your kitchen.. No garden, no Patio to be lonely only roof. The house is near main road, you here cars and dogs in the night, and the river canalisation in winter. The road N124 is just 20 meter away. Maybe for one night ok when you want go back to Airport but not cosy place for Relaxing and enjoy country life and quietness. The place is not silent, what you maybe expect when you go in a village like Alte. The stairs in the house are very dangerous and very long, no toilet on first and no toilet on second floor where you must sleep. Roof is Boring place to stay with dirty chairs and table, we could not really​ use , bec kitchen is in ground floor and a very long way to transport your dishes and food., so you stay in kitchen. When you read evaluation on airbnb or booking it s really over evaluated, bec its an old house bad renovated, bad painted in every corner, tile are Grand mother style not algarve style. It is Maybe nice for small person of 1.50 meter because everything is so small in this house . The house is maybe 40 qm2 never 60qm2 as suggested. The bathroom is not existing or you can not call it bathroom. It s a toilet where you can wash Hands only with cold water and later they put a mini shower in opposite corner which was dirty and moldy. Not really cleaned. Now Windows, no areation possible... Maybe nice for locals but for european Tourist it is under average standard. The gas Boiler was not working well, we did get often cold water. Or try ten times to get warm water, the water was coming and you can boiled yourself. It was also smelling gas from Boiler sometimes what make me afraid. We didn t like our stay of three nights in this place, we can not recommend it. The owner is not at the place only at the phone, only his old mother give you keys, no English, bad French.. No instruction of the house on place, where we can go eat or drink. The village is dead at the evening, daytime you have a lot of Tourist, but later at 20.00 you see only cats walking on the streets. One Restaurant to eat we find at evening but simple not cosy place. It think Loule,Silves, or Monchique is nicer to stay. Or stay in Alte Hotel, there is a nice view and pool and in low season cheaper and better, you get more value for money. The village looks old fashionned best time are over.
