Após me terem abordado na Rua para publicitar e levar - nos a ir comer ao restaurante, como é comum na baixa fazerem, desloquei - me ao espaço, autêntica desilusão, empregados antipaticos, pedi uma comida da ementa, disseram que seria melhor optar por outra porque não iria gostar, como se soubessem dos meus gostos enfim medíocre... N aconselho a ninguém

An amazing go to place if you like authentic Indian cuisine.
Every single dish is savoury and spicy. I loved the Veg Manchurian, it is a must try. The staff is quite friendly and helpful.

Sehr gutes Essen. Extrem viele Inder kommen hier her und die müssen es ja wissen. Zu den Gerichten haben wir immer Reis bestellt. Große Karte, hier muss man sich etwas Zeit lassen. Auch vegetarische Gerichte. Z. B. Spinat mit Kartoffeln, die indische Variante ist sehr gut gewürzt. Trotz unserer eher abfälligen Mägen hatten wir nie Probleme. Haben 2x hier gegessen. Preislich ist es nicht teuer.

Bom restaurante, no bairro Chiado, fica em uma das paralelas a rua Augusta. É pequeno, 2 garçons servem as mesas um deles é bem confuso. Fomos mais de uma vez e a nossa torcida era para ser atendido pelo garçom mais prático e rápido. O pão naan com alho é muito bom, acompanha-o 4 molhos diferentes. O arroz com especiarias é um prato divisível e torna os pratos de peixes e carnes também divisíveis para o caso de estarem em grupo. As carnes e peixes com molho são melhores. Tentei um cordeiro sem molho e foi difícil engolir porque estava muito seco.

Melhor indiano que conheço em Lisboa. É que eles acertam em tudo. Nos preços e na qualidade. Recomendo o pão nã, as sopas, os arrozes e os pratos de borrego.

O atendimento é simpático e atencioso, embora não entendam sempre bem o português.
Foram simplificadores na troca das opções dentro do menu escolhido.
A decoração é simples mas clean.
Há várias opções e sugestões de refeições rápidas de servir.
O prato veio bem servido, e estava saboroso.

If you're bored of all these Portuguese, Italian etc. dishes then this is a must go place to go for something spicy Indian authentic food, though spicy is not as much spicy it should be but still loved it.

They make their own Paneer ! and it's super soft and fresh. The food is completely delicious. Brownie points for fast service, friendly staff and very cheap price. We went their thrice in our 6 days trip to lisbon.

Disappointing experience...
Well, I have visited multiple Indian restaurants across Europe in over 14 countries but this is by far the worst one.
We ordered one mutton biryani and one malai kofta with jeera fried rice.. In mutton biryani they did not serve the basic side on that is raita and mutton pieces were not properly cooked.
Malai kofta was also not good..
Hopefully they learn next time:-)

음식맛도 굉장히 맛있었어요
이 가게를 중심으로 한국분들에게 유명한 가게들이 많았는데 예약해야하거나 줄이 너무 길어서 알아보지 않고 간곳인데 매우 성공적인 선택이었어요
난이 하나 가격이 저렴해서 조금나올줄알고 3인분 시켰는데 정말 너무 많이 나와서 남겼어요ㅠ(직원분이 말해주셨더라면 좋았을텐데)
메뉴이름은 기억안나지만 메뉴판도 보고 구글리뷰 보면서 사진으로 주문했는데 맛있었어요
아 그리고 후식처럼 나오는 해바라기씨 초콜렛처럼 생긴게 있는데 향신료니깐 조심하세요
저는 안먹었지만 친구두명이 먹고 괴로워해서 알았어요

La comida que fue la razón de visitar el lugar fue muy sabrosa, sus sabores muy marcados y de una agradable sensación en el paladar. We attempted to go one night but it was completely packed. I'm glad we decided to go the next night. The food was very good. Excellent spices, helpful staff, and i think they have wifi too. We even tried some new dishes we haven't tried before as it pertains to Indian food. I would definitely recommend going there if you're in Lisboa. And make sure you try to go early because it gets packed.

I went based on the other reviews. I ordered vegetable Biryani. It was not what I expected. I ordered a medium spicy. It was medium spicy but not that tasty. Even though the restaurant was not busy I have to ask the waiter couple of times to fill up the water. I ordered one papad. They did not charge me. I thought it might be compliment or they forgot to bill me.

Great quality of Indian dishes with lots of varieties from Northern and southern India. Probably little bit more expensive because of the location but I totally enjoyed my meal!! Available waiters and we didn't wait more than 15 min to get 4 dishes. I would come back if I wasn't in another continent...

Another good indian restaurant in Lisbon with authentic indian dishes. The place is smaller and also bit costlier though which would be because of the location. The service is good and staff is nice. I am removing one star because of the expensive menu and small place.

NATRAJ CLASSICAL zoals het op de ruiten staat was een tweede keuze en kreeg daarmee een kans.
Veel gerechten en vooral veel met veel (dikke) saus. Zo zie je niet wat voor vlees of vis je opgediend krijgt. Heb je dan iets te verbergen? Het zal wel meer met de Indische keuken te maken hebben.
Mijn echtgenoot kreeg weer eens geen kans een glas wijn te bestellen. Alleen een hele fles werd geserveerd. Dan niet.
"Vis is diepvries", zo werd verteld.
Voorgerecht garlic brood met vier dipsausjes was veel en goed van smaak. Van de sausjes moet je houden.
De kip van de Chicken Natra ging op en de helft van de vis uit Karahi Fish mocht blijven zwemmen in de rode zee van saus.
Het is niet onze smaak.
Bediening net voldoende. Een Groet bij vertrek kon er niet af. Jammer.

The menu is long, you will have a hard time going through all of it to choose your dish. All the dishes we ordered were nicely cooked and very tasty. The food was ready very quickly even tough the restaurant was full. The price is fine, specially given the location.

We went there as it was less crowded than the restaurant next door, but received slow service despite being there earlier than others. The WC/bathroom was not that clean, so I asked for my order to be packed as I was not comfortable eating there. The food is alright, a little overpriced for what it is. I had asked the waiter if the raita came with the biryani or not, and he said yes, but added it on as a separately paid item. As my friend paid, I was not able to sort this out with them; in any case, clearly there are communication issues among the wait staff.

We tried this restaurant two times in a short stay of 3 days which tells by itself that we loved the food here. One time we had Paneer Jalfrezi, Punjabi Vegetable and Naans, everything was too good including the friendly service. The taste was very much Indian, actually, I think Lisbon has really good Indian restaurants and the taste is still quite close to being 'Indian'.
Despite being in the most central location of Lisbon, the prices were very reasonable (in fact its cheap for the location) with a good quantity of portions. The second time we had vegetable biryani and one was more than enough for the two of us.
Highly recommended if you are looking for Indian food in Lisbon.

It could be improved as it's quite chilly during winter if you're close to the door, as it tends to remain open whenever someone enters.

Vale a pena pela comida. No que toca a gerência uma estrela. Reserva feita 4f para jantar sabado as 20.30h. Reserva confirmada e no dia, nao tinham mesas, duvidando da reserva e só me sentei eram 21.45h. Fiquei apenas porque está dificil de confirmar mesas nos restaurantes de lisboa

We were in Lisbon for one night on November 1, 2018 and caught up with couple of friends who are vegans and went to Natraj Tandoori for dinner and what a delicious dinner it was.
Our vegan friends had plenty to choose from and we had butter chicken and chicken Tikka masala, which were delicious.
The atmosphere is authentic and cozy. The dining room is small, so naturally they've tried to get as many tables as they can in the small space. Nonethelessare, you can still have conversation without worrying about privacy.
The service was friendly and professional. Prices are reasonable for the quality and portions. Highly recommended.

Amazing food and great experience!
We were in the mood for some naan and just decided to give it a try.
The atmosphere is very simple but cosy.
The staff is super helpful and friendly and the food is absolutely delicious! Full of spices and great flavors.
There are plenty of options for everyone and lots of delicious vegetarian dishes.
The naan was super tasty! And the prices are ok, affordable!
I would definitely recommend this place.

Great food... Would highly recommend it.. If someone is looking for authentic Indian food. We had karahi chicken, daal tadka and paneer jalfarezi which were fingure liking good. Along with naan and tandoori roti which were fresh and served hot. Our host was very polite and quick. For starters we had paneer pakoda and vegetable pakoda... I was sent back to India. Keep up the quality. The portions were good too as we had leftovers which were happily packed for us.

Sniffed out a halal Indian whilst in Lisbon. Was 5 mins from the hotel, so chanced it. Pleasantly surprised. Its a bit basic and there's a large tv playing Bollywood songs, kept the Mrs amused.
Don't expect much from the layout and decor, but the food was good. Had the chicken korai with dhall, rice for me, naan for the Mrs. Good, home cooked, flavoursome food. Good service too. Couldn't believe we only spent €20. Only the chicken is halal though. We went back the next day!

I had just arrived in lisbon today . Thought of checking some indian restaurant for dinner . Had seen some good reviews about NATRAJ Tandoori . Went there and ordered a meal (dal makhani & naan ). I had normally just asked for a spoon . The person who served me food starting all sort of arguments. He said why do you need a spoon. Eat with fork & knife . See english people next to you , they also eat like this. I told him there is only serving spoon provided .
I need an eating spoon to eat gravy thing. ( As all know that Even with english meals complete set of spoon , fork & knife is provided .) Instead of hospitality he argued that BAKWAAS mat karo deta hoon kha lo khana . He even claimed himself to be Manager ( imagine if same person is the manager & serves like waiter , then surely frustations like this come out ). So uncorteous & impolite

Without a doubt the best Indian food in Lisbon! (and Portugal, given the many I've also tried in Algarve and Porto, too). I have lived in Lisbon for 5 1/2 years, and we first went to Natraj Rato (they have branches in Areiea Cascais, Rato, Odivelas and Rossio/Baixa), but Rossio regularly now stands out as the branch which puts out the best of the best. We regularly order several of the same dishes and the quality is consistent. Excellent naan, good rice and distinctive and complex curry dishes. We have brought many friends and family here, including my father, who was brought up eating Indian food: everyone agrees it is the best they've had in Lisbon. Staff are polite, service is good and fast, and dishes are generous in both protein and rich sauces. Drinks list, especially the wine, is well-priced and traditional Indian Cobra beer is served ice cold. Thank you, Natraj Rossio staff! Highly recommended. K

I don't usually post bad reviews, but this restaurant is absolutelly the worst Indian Restaurant I have even been to. The food was quite okay (though the portions are way too small) but there is just this waiter who clearly wants you to eat as quick as possible so you pay and go. He takes all the sauces and things away before you even finish to eat and is totally bossy and unhappy with everything and everyone around him. I do not recomend this place to people who love Indian food as me, and want to taste it in peace and good atmosphere.

Popular spot, luckily we arrived early, a queue formed soon afterwards which is testament to how good this restaurant is. Fabulous food, generous portions, fast friendly service and great value for money. If you love Indian food Natraj Tandoori is one for your list of places to eat when in Lisbon.

This restaurant is very close to the centre, namely, Rossio Square. It's just off Rua Augusta in a narrow dark street, just metres away from the Santa Justa Elevator. In my estimation, prices were reasonable.
We had dinner on two occasions here. The food is quite good quality and tasty. The cuisine is close to the North Indian variety. Orders were delivered quickly and the staff were very helpful. The shop is small, so the tables are a bit crammed together. At peak times it could look and feel hectic.

Recommend this place if someone wants a nice Indian meal in Lisbon. You can specify your curry to be mild/medium/hot depending on your palatte.

Visited during our trip to Lisbon after reading the reviews. We asked for panneer Tikka masala but were served panneer butter masala and were told both are same in Lisbon. The dish was sweet and bland. We had to haggle with the staff to get it corrected. The aloo chat tasted like Chinese Szechuan Manchurian.

I work near this place and have had lunch (around 2pm) there many times. I have tried a sufficient number of items of the menu to say with certainty that whatever you ask for will be wonderful and delicious. However, they do run out of some of the most popular dishes quickly. The portions are big, so it is a nice place to get to share and try everything. We have generally been seated immediately, but depending on the hour you may have to wait a few minutes.

I can honestly say this is the best Indian food I have had in my life. Here's how it unfolded: We were a group of 4 and we wandered in because it was close to our airbnb. We were chatting and drinking wine, having a great time. Upon the first bite of food, our table went silent. Everyone went to their "happy place" and zoned out for a while.
Through the haze of my endorphin rush I heard someone at our table say, "Guys. This is amazing." Maybe it was me. Pretty sure I said it. Our two companions, originally from India, gushed at how good the food was.
During the rest of our week in Lisbon we returned another 2 times after this visit. Worth it. Do yourself a favor and go there.

I would give 5 stars if they had better customer service skills. We looked at their menu on the wall outside and decided to come inside. However, when we were given the menu inside prices were different. The waiter came up with some silly excuse that the menu hasn't been updated and that there is nothing they can do. He didn't even apologize properly and refused to honer the prices they have listed for everyone outside. This would never be allowed in Canada.
However, despite the issue with prices we decided to stay since we already settled on Indian food and their dished were very tasty.

Had very mediocre meals. Took family and stayed on veggie meals but they were pretty rubbish. Portions were tiny. Rice tasted like “boiled in a bag” or easy cook rice. Pickle tray was all watery liquid stuff. Wanted to like the place as it looked popular but wouldn’t go again. Was remonstrated by the waiter for ordering 2 popadoms each as he thought we’d not eat them all...what’s that about?

The place is located 10 minutes walk away from barrio alto which makes for a good meal before a long night. I tried both their saag and garlic shrimps and I was far from disappointed, my tastebuds were having a blast. I would also highly recommend their kofta malai and their butter chicken (which my friend drooled all over). Excellent responsive services. If you’re vegetarian this place is for you.

I m Indian and I m try many indian reasturent but this one is worst ever . Service -0.food trestles.all food we order are cold and no test . I prefer to nobody should go there .

We have been to Natraj (rossio) multiple times and its the best in Lisbon. The quality and quantity is excellent. Staff and their service is very good and always consistent.. 5 **** (star) to this restaurant ...

맛있어요. 짜지도 않고 한국인입맛에 맞는듯. 저는 한국에서 먹은것 보다 더 맛있어요. 망고,코코넛라씨는 맛이 강하지 않고 연해서 먹기편했어요. 램커리는 고수가 약간 들어가서 민감하고 예민한사람은 추천안하지만 저는 최고임. 약간 매콤느낌이 있어서 좋아요. 치킨커리는 부드럽고 고수안들어갔어요. 치즈,갈릭난은 난안에 치즈가 들어가있어요. 라씨나올때 빨대부분에 센스가 돋보입니다.

Restsursnt with decent ambience and good bollywood music.Tried bhindi masala, paneer jalfrezi and garlic naan, all were amazing specially the naan was soft and tasty. The curry were finger licking good. Price is very reasonable in comparison to other indian restaurants. Really a good place to eat.

Being vegetarian, we are always glad to find indian restaurants when we travel. This restaurant did not disappoint us at all. We started with vegetable pakora, then had Tarka dal and paneer jalfrezi for main entrees. In breads we ordered parantha and garlic naan. We ended with gulab jamun for dessert and the dishwasher didn't have to do much by the time we were done

I tried lentil soup, lamb karahi and nan bread. they were all great tasty and good size and deserve 5/5. I gave 4 overall as service could be better. smile is a basic customer service etiquette and was missing

Restaurant correct. Mais j'ai clairement mangé beaucoup mieux. Le biriani agneau est mon plat indien préféré mais là, je vais réfléchir à deux fois avant de le commander ailleurs. Le plat était très sucré, ce qui n'est pas d'un vrai biriani. Ils ont sûrement mis trop de raisins et peut-être d'oignons caramélisé. Je suis déçue car de toutes mes expériences avec la gastronomie indienne, celle-ci est la moins bien. Pour ceux qui trouvent ça super bon, du jamais vu, venez que je vous conseille les vrais restaurant indien.
Sinon rapport qualité rempli. Le service était rapide et on mange assez pour ce qu'on a payé.

I had taken take away indian food without Onion garlic from here.
I had tried dal tadka and mixed vegetable without onion and garlic , both are having good taste.
Price are very reasonable in comparison to other places in Europe.
People running this restaurant are very friendly. One should give a try to eat Indian food in Lisbon.

Quick and friendly service. And.... delicious!!! I had vegetables with paneer cheese and my boyfriend chicken with spinach, rice and naan bread and two beers for only 22€. Cheapest meal we had in Lisbon yet. We can totally recommend it.

This is a small Indian restaurant based in the heart of Lisbon. The food is ok, although a little expensive for what you get. The prawn dish for over 8 Euros had only two small prawns!

Typical Indian restaurant with a very cosy environment I revisit constantly. The waiters are very kind, helpful and eager to assist on any question you might have about Indian dishes or beverages.
They speak English and some of them Portuguese.
The plates are very good, and even though they might be considered small/medium, I am pretty sure it will be enough for a meal.
A real trip to India within the very heart of Lisbon.
