Muito bom! O restaurante é pequenino mas muito aconhegador, comida muito boa, entradas e pratos grandes o suficiente para partilhar em duas ou até em três pessoas. Os dois garçons brasileiros que nos atenderam foram muito simpáticos e atenciosos.

Sehr schöne Kneipe. Sehr landestypisch und super freundliche Bedienung. Die Einrichtung ist genauso urig wie der Kellner. Das Motto ist hier: "Essen bestellen und teilen". Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Das Essen war sehr lecker, vielleicht etwas fischlastig! Aber wer gerne Meerestierchen und Fisch isst, ist hier gut aufgehoben!

Hammer Location!!! Essen war echt super! Der Service excellent. Preise sind voll ok. Finde das Lokal hat ein super Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Bin auf dieses Restaurant durch andere Google-Bewertungen aufmerksam geworden. Versteckt aber ganz gut!
This is a great location! The food and service were excellent and very individual. Price-Performance ratio is absolutely ok. I was looking after reviews during my stay here in Lisboa. And only got my attention at this location via Google. So i can absolutely recommend it. Will be back soon.

das Essen war ein Traum! Das Fleisch brauchte kein Messer, das Süßkartoffelpürree sehr geschmackig. Am liebsten die Karte rauf und runter gegessen. Die Kellner freundlich und bemüht. Das Ambiente megacool - kein Teller und Sessel wie der andere

Very disapointing experience. The restaurant is nice but that is it! The waiter was really rude to us. Didnt explain us the “sharing” concept, so we ordered 4 main dishes and they all came at very differen times. When we asked him about it he said that he had explained us the concept when we arrived and that basically it wasnt his problem. Really rude guy! The only good thing is that the other waitress realised something was wrong and tried to make it up to us with free desert. Food is overpriced and not very good. Not worth it.

We had the shrimp and chicken liver for starters and the pork cheek for the main entree, this was very good! The toast with goat cheese, honey, and rosemary for dessert was delicious! The wine was also very good (Passagem Reserve 2015)

Amazing food. Definitely the best portugese restaurant ive been to in my 7 days stay here. Highly recommned the shrimp, cod fish and veal here. Didnt have a chance to try the rest, but rest assured quality will be optimal.

I felt disappointed. The name "tavern" suggests a different type of restaurant. Food is tasty but that's not classic Portuguese. Space is narrow and you might get some bumps from other customers while eating. Heads-up: served portions are too small and the price is exorbitant. It's more costly than the two Michelin star restaurant nearby for the equivalent amount of food. Beware that dishes aren't good for sharing and leaving satisfied. Wine is overpriced - consider alternatives. Staff is friendly and cozy. The restaurant closes early and you can't relax after dinner. There are better alternatives nearby.

Un locale da provare sia per la qualità del cibo e sia per l'ambientazione ...sembra di tornare indietro nel tempo. Il prezzo non è molto economico ma siamo rimasti pienamente soddisfatti di tutti i differenti piatti che abbiamo provato in quattro.

Si buscas algo original, genuino, con buena cocina portuguesa, a precio correcto, este es tu sitio. La decoración mola un montón, recuerdo que el mantel era como hojas de cuaderno de cuando ibas al cole. La carta es concentrada y las raciones bastante contundentes. Déjate aconsejar por los camareros que son atentos, simpático y atienden también en inglés. Llama antes para reservar porque el sitio no es muy grande y se llena enseguida.

My favourite restaurant in Lisbon! Very cosy and authentically furnished. Attentive and friendly staff and most importantly excellent food. Ask for recommendations, it helped us a lot to choose. You won't want to leave this restaurant!

Ich kann meiner Begeisterung für dieses liebevoll geführte Lokal gar nicht genügend Ausdruck verleihen! Das Personal und der Service waren überaus herzhaft und zuvorkommend! Und das Essen, WOW...wohl das beste was ich seit langer Zeit zu mir genommen habe. Ich kann es nur jeden ans Herz legen, diesem Lokal einen Besuch abzustatten! Obrigado :)

" Es um assasinato " une tuerie. Franchement en plus de l'ambiance de dingue du personnel heureux visiblement de travailler là, la nourriture est excellente je ne saurait trop quoi vous conseiller de commander... allez-y les yeux fermés mais la bouche ouverte !!!

We found this place by chance. The servers were very nice and the food was really good. The wine was also nice. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable. Definitely recommend.

Very nice place and very good food with original culinary arrangements.

Nice place to have rustical countryside food with a distinct original taste. I had two tapas: tuna and a dish of quails cooked in wine. The tuna was fried perfectly medium and came wrapped in a sandwich with mayonnaise . The quails were very tasteful and reminded of a coq au vin. However, some things were missing to be truly excellent in my view. The mayonnaise drowned the excellent tuna and too many little slices of garlic added to the overpowering of the fish. The quails were a bit dry (it's hard to prepare quails juicy). It's still a place I may come back to.

I would have given zero stars, unfortunately it's not possible. The service was extraordinary - in a very bad way. The waitress was very unfriendly from the start and didn't make us feel welcome. They charged for olives and rusk! that we didn't even order. There is no main dish at all for vegetarians, luckily we eat fish, well it wasn't that lucky in the end...
We chose codfish with polenta, but when we asked if we could get mashed potatoes instead of polenta, the harsh waitress said it wasn't possible since it's inside the fish, so we figured it's stuffed inside, which it wasn't. It wouldn't have been a problem to change the side dish, but she simply didn't want to. Everything had coriander on top which wasn't mentioned in the menu nor by the waitress. The food was actually disgusting, fish was dry, Polenta undercooked and the mussels on top weren't seasoned at all. We complained that we don't eat coriander and didn't know the dishes would be served with lots of it. She said "ok then, just eat from the bottom, there should be none."
Incredible! I never experienced a level of rudeness like that. We ate barely anything and no one cared. They didn't offer us any compensation, but instead obviously talked about us behind the bar. Bill was high, plates were still full, when we left. To sum it up: Don't go there. The service is as bad as the food.

One of the worst dinning experiences of my life! I can't understand where all the good reviews came from. Food was mediocre at best and totally overpriced. The hipster-atmosphere is obviously more important for this place than any quality in service and food. The waitress would be better of in a Shakespeare drama than in gastronomy because she doesn't know how to smile. Go somewhere else where you feel welcome and where you don't get ripped off!

Great representation of typical portuguese food served in portions to share. The service is very attentive and the staff speaks very well English. The decor is noteworthy: typical tavern with a touch of portuguese grandma house, making you feel home. Super!

Really nice little place with amazing food. Shrimps were close to the best shrimps I ever tried. And all the rest was very very good.
Spot is small but has nice decor of old posters and furniture.
Staff is really nice and helpful.
Prices are affordable.

A great place for traditional Portuguese cooking with a modern edge.
Apparently on the vanguard of the new wave of contemporary tavernas in Lisbon, Ideal provides authentic and time honoured flavours fit for the contemporary diner.
Like most restaurants in Lisbon, this takes a tapas style approach. We shared 3 small plates and 1 large dish between two.
Mushrooms sautéed with chestnuts had incredibly depth and earthiness of flavour, but sweetness too from the chestnuts.
Prawns sautéed with sun dried tomatoes were good - but no surprises.
Toast with melted goats cheese, honey and rosemary was sublime and, hopefully, relatively easy to recreate at home!
The star of the show was the big plate (definitely a healthy portion) of soft polenta with cod. Comfort eating at its best. The fish had a very meaty texture while the sweet, soft polenta was like an unctuous risotto.
Waiters were friendly, helpful and relaxed. Very accommodating to those with dietary requirements (celiac and dairy intolerance in our case).
Good craft beers on offer too - the local milk stout was great.
60-odd euros for an excellent, and very filling, meal for two.

went there for lunch after visiting the neighboring museum. although the kitchen was about to close, they took great care of our party. dishes were great, sangria tasty, waiters knew what they were doing and were nice. actually considering a hike to check them out for dinner.

Tried walking in but the restaurant was fully booked. Ended up sitting in bar beside it (same owners) and ordering from there. Of the tapas we had, the best was the mussels and codfish salad. It was exceeding fresh and very tasty. I love this place. The food is good, the service was friendly and the prices are pocket friendly.

Very nice foodie experience, sharing based menu with v. soft and sweet octopus main! We decided to end actually our diner with the fig "starter", if you like to mix sweetness w/ strong cheese & ham i can only recommend!! Lovely staff too! :-)

Piatti tipici della cucina portoghese. Verdure dal sapore molto deciso, a parer mio troppo, accompagnano alcuni piatti di pesce, e forse ne coprono un po' il sapore. Gli "ideal shrimps" sono, invece, favolosi. La Mousse al cioccolato fondente e brandy è molto goduriosa. Servizio molto rapido.

A comida é boa, no entanto, éramos um grupo grande, quando chegamos percebemos que estávamos em mesas separadas, pedimos para resolverem a situação, e foi resolvida, mas de acordo com o que o funcionário decidiu que pouco faltou para nos dizer que ele é que decidia o que fazer independentemente de nós estarmos a dizer que não nos importávamos de ficar mais junto. Como referi a comida é boa, mas quando falamos em preço e quantidade, não se justifica o que se pagou e a "cereja no topo do bolo" foi pagarmos garrafas de água que estavam na mesa e que eram da "torneira" eram garrafas cheias de água numa garrafa branca sem marca, em quase percebia que eram da "torneira". Portanto, mais que a comida ser boa, há que ter em atenção ao atendimento e ao que o cliente diz.

The food here was amazing - the chicken liver dish was my favorite, and the tuna dish was also amazing. I'd also recommend the pork with sweet potato mash - really well done. All the flavors went together so good!

Ora , não sei bem por onde começar ... Procurava um restaurante para um grupo de 5 pessoas e este foi o escolhido através de algumas opiniões daqui desta página .
Do atendimento , não tenho nada a dizer mal , prestável e a explicar bem o funcionamento da casa .
No entanto ,retiro vários pontos negativos deste restaurante:
- A carta de vinhos para parecer engraçada (elaborada num caderno escrito a lápis )é completamente amadora e os preços extremamente abusivos. Não existe escolha de uma garrafa a menos de 12€ . É verdade que tem vinhos pouco "comerciais" , no entanto não havendo outra escolha temos de nos cingir ás poucas garrafas propostas .
-O conceito da casa leva a que cada pessoa tenha de escolher uma entrada (super mini) que nem para uma pessoa dá , sem sequer vir acompanhado com um cesto de pão . Tal como pedido uma tábua de queijos e enchidos e nem vir pão para a mesa .
-O prato principal que escolhemos dos 4 disponíveis estava saboroso e bem confeccionado.
Conclusão,é um restaurante com um ambiente escuro,de loiça e decoração antiga a tentar recriar um ambiente caseiro ,que no fim os preços e as quantidades servidas são de ficar estupefactos tendo em conta a relação custo/qualidade/quantidade . Saímos deste restaurante com um pedido de 4 entradas e 1 prato principal (devido ao preço exagerado ) com uma conta de 20€ por cabeça, de barriga vazia directo a outro sítio para acabar de jantar .
É um restaurante indicado para quem gosta de depenicar e beber um "golo" de vinho , ou comer e beber normalmente e pagar uma conta de 50€ por cabeça.
Não voltarei ,nem quem me acompanhou.

It's a nice place with antique look, it seems that Lisbon was stuck in the 60s...
The food is tasty but what really makes the difference is the concept! It is suggest to choose one dish to share between three boards. One "tiborna alentejana" (it's similar to a toasted bread with cheese among other things), one tidbit (I recommend the mushrooms with chestnuts!) and a main course. So I recommend you to go there with someone willing to share.
My unique complain is that the price is a little expensive for the provided dishes...

Very good and authentic restaurant! All ingredients / recipies are sourced locally. Service was very good. Dishes were nice, if not very sophisticated: good for a relaxed night. Good wine by the glass.

O ambiente retro que acompanha todo o espaço é de uma coerência absolutamente fantástica e é delicioso ver os pormenores da ementa, dos pratos, das cadeiras, das mesas. Um sitio único em Lisboa.
A comida tradicional é bastante saborosa e o atendimento personalizado e simpático dos empregados torna a experiência de jantar bastante agradável.
Impossivel não experimentar o caipimedronho.
Recomendo vivamente.
