We found the Pousada to be comfortable, elegant, old world style. Very consistent and proper for its Palacio setting. We enjoyed a walk around the gardens and had dinner conveniently in town, really just steps away. Tea and drinks after dinner in the spring room were a nice touch, lovely end to the day. Overall enjoyable, though showing age in slightly frayed edges on fabrics and furnishings.

Man fühlt sich zurück gesetzt in fürstliche Zeiten. Das Personal ist sehr bemüht und freundlich. Großartig das Ambiente des Restaurants, der ehemaligen königlichen Küche mit einer bestaunenswerten Marmorarbeitsplatte und einem Abzug wie aus einem Märchen unserer Kindheit. Essen und Weine vorzüglich. Die Desserts sind Kunstwerke!

Lovely, helpful staff. Excellent breakfast....looking forward to meal in restaurant across the road. Only (very minor) complaint is that there is not tea/coffee making facilities in room. Would very much recommend it.

We spent three nights here in March, 2019. The room was well set up and sizable. Thee were lovely amenities, bathrobes and towels. It was quiet and well located. We had a neat breakfast daily and a wonderful dinner in the original palace kitchen. From here we easily traveled by train to Sintra and various sites in Lisbon, so a car wasn't needed.

A avaliação de satisfatório nas comodidades prende-se com 2 questões: - estava muito calor e o ar condicionado do quarto não estava a funcionar, mesmo depois de o termos solicitado na receção; - solicitei um quarto sossegado e o que foi atribuido era virado para a estrada principal, muito barulhento devido ao facto de ter de dormir com janela aberta para o quarto refrescar. Mas quero salientar a qualidade do pequeno almoço e simpatia da funcionária

É uma pousada histórica, os quartos têm um visual da época mas sem comprometer a modernidade (embora se notem alguns pontos em que a manutenção deveria ser melhor). O atendimento, desde a receção até à sala de pequeno almoço, foi muito agradável, interessado e disponível. As opções de pequeno almoço são bastante variadas (adorei os ovos mexidos e o bolo sempre acabado de fazer). Por ir em trabalho, não tive oportunidade de visitar, mas o facto de ser mesmo em frente ao Palácio de Queluz também é um ponto muito interessante.

A Pousada parece ser bastante acolhedora no entanto quando fiz a reserva e recebi um email de confirmação para X data, 2 adultos e uma criança, verifiquei que me cobram a mais o valor da criança. Nesse mesmo email consta que até duas crianças, até aos 12 anos é gratuito. No entanto cobram o valor da criança, justificando que não existe nenhum quarto (standard) nesta Pousada com características adequadas para colocar mais uma cama e no entanto passam para outro quarto maior (familiar) tendo que cobrar o valor (da área) do quarto e consequentemente a da cama para a criança (neste caso uma).Sendo assim não acho correto publicitar (email) algo que não possui.Muito obrigada

Diferenciada. Uma ótima opção se conheces Lisboa e não queres o burburinho do centro. Lembrando que por se tratar de pousada em prédio histórico, não se dispõe de alguns itens de hotéis (piscina, academia e spa p.ex.). Estar exatamente em frente ao Palácio de Queluz é o diferencial! Há um restaurante anexo porém com custo bem elevado, comparado a outros da região, porém há um apego de charme por estar instalado na antiga cozinha real. Entendo que a função decorativa não significou proporcional relevância ao sabor.

Check in was nice - we were accommodated although we arrived early. I am not a fan, however, of having to sleep in two single beds pushed together as opposed to a double bed, especially when I specified when making my reservation that we needed a double bed. Also, if you’re looking to dry/straighten your hair in this hotel, just forget about it. There was not one outlet in our bathroom. On the bright side, there was built in music in the bathroom?

30 Minuten vom Lissabon und Sintra entfernt im schönen historischen Gebäude gegenüber dem Königspalast mit Park. Sehr große Zimmer mit stilvollem Interieur und Klimaanlage. Gutes Frühstück und freundliches Personal. Parkplatz ohne Aufpreis. Sehr empfehlenswert.

The grounds were stunning, and the room was clean and spacious. Its adjacent to the National Palace which is a stunning attraction and worth the trip. It is within walking distance of great restaurants as well.

Es una Pousada de la red de Portugal, (similar a la red de Paradores en España) no es demasiado grande. Debe tener unas 26 habitaciones aproximadamente, y comparado con otras es más incómoda ya que el restaurante de la posada hay que cruzar la carretera al otro lado. Lo bueno que tiene, es que está cerca de Lisboa, Cascais, Estoril y alguna otra ciudad para aprovechar y hacer una visita de la zona, especialmente a Sintra.

Schönes 4*Hotel mit antik königlichem Ambiente. Das Personal außerordentlich freundlich. Die Zimmer schlicht und dennoch herrschaftlich eingerichtet. Sauber und gemütlich. Der Frühstücksraum klein und das Buffet von der Größe her überschaubar, aber es gibt alles was man an einem riesen Buffet auch finden würde. Sehr gemütlich und lecker. Frische Lebensmittel, Obst , frischer Saft, leckerer portugiesischer Käse, selbstgebackener Kuchen und vieles mehr. Die Umgebung sehr schön. Schloss/Palast von Queluz und zugehöriger Park direkt gegenüber und auch ein öffentlicher Park nebenan. Empfehlenswert wenn man mal eine besondere Unterkunft außerhalb der Stadt sucht.

Its a CASTLE! Okay, its really the servants quarters but, hey, its the ROYAL servants quarters! HUGE room! Incredibly comfortable beds. The decor is very simple, but who stays in the room all day? The best part of the stay was sleeping with the double casement windows open and waking to the songs of birds singing. Beginning each morning with breakfast in the sunny yellow tiled dining room was a treat; again, nothing fancy but tasty and satisfying. Enjoyed visiting the built-in theatre, which now serves as a guest library.

A once grand pousada now in need of some TLC. Public areas are pleasant and comfortable but the bedrooms need to be refurbished. The carpets were stained and the armchairs worn and shabby. Staff were mostly helpful and pleasant, and breakfast was decent.

Chose the hotel because heritage look and feel and location. Checkin took 15 minutes waiting for a person also serving tea and coffee. The breakfast manager was the most unfriendly, very abrupt in his answers, chatted in the kitchen with his colleague the entire time, than started to watch TV absolutely 0 interest!!! The check out lady more friendly and efficient.

Hotel com serviço aquém das 4 estrelas que ostenta. Com sorte é 3. Bebi o pior gin dos últimos anos servido por um barman/recepcionista que nunca debe ter servido um gin; quarto com um sistema de ar condicionado deficiente; pequeno-almoço fraco e desorganizado. Tem tudo para passar à categoria do IBIS e face a alguns dessa marca low cost fica a perder. Têm de evoluir MUITO para serem 4 estrelas...

Not as advertised !! This was our 7th pousada in our 3 week trip around Portugal. So when I thought that we would be staying in the palace; we had done so at all the other Pousadas. This one felt like a Holiday Inn. Palace across the street and you have to pay to see it

Loved this tastefully restored Pousada in immaculate condition. Spacious room and bathroom with separate area for toilet. Quiet location. Castle and restaurant are located across the street. There is a beautiful castle garden you can stroll in. Admission required to visit castle and garden.The restaurant has terrace overlooking the garden where we had a light lunch and drinks. We were pleasantly surprised to receive a delicious chef’s taster. However, dinner in the restaurant was a disappointment. My lamp chops consisted mainly of gristle and bone and a huge portion of bitter tasting spinach. Potatoes were flavourful though.

Bei unserer Ankunft war das Desk nicht besetzt. Keine Klingel, keine Telefon und mussten nach jemanden suchen. Zudem beim Schlüssel abgeben oder zurückfordern war zuerst auch niemand da. Wir haben den Schlüssel selbst genommen, was in Bezug auf Sicherheit zu wünschen lässt!!!

Na segunda metade do século XVIII, numa das últimas fases de obras do Palácio Real de Queluz, já durante o reinado de D. Maria I, foi edificado, frente ao palácio, mas fazendo parte do mesmo conjunto arquitectónico, a torre do relógio bem como o edifício anexo destinado à guarda real, à casa da administração e às cavalariças. O traçado da construção é atribuído a Manuel Caetano de Sousa, tido por muitos como o último representante do tardo barroco nacional, que sucedeu aos arquitectos do palácio, Mateus Vicente e Jean Baptiste Robillion. Anexa à torre do relógio, que conta com três planos e dois registos, o primeiro com um relógio e o segundo com os sinos rematados por uma cúpula bolbosa, desenvolve-se uma construção em cuja fachada principal se observam janelas e portas de frontão recortado. O edifício encontra-se em vias de classificação com despacho de abertura de 1996. Na década de 1990 foram efectuadas as obras de adptação a Pousada, tendo sido mantida integralmente a fachada original com o interior profundamente reformulado para servir as novas necessidades. A Pousada foi inaugurada em 1995.

Website information was misleading. I was expecting to have accommodation with access to the palace gardens. Turns out the hotel is in the middle of a car park, while palace gardens are entirely different enterprise. Not even a discount for entry! Rooms good standard, food pretty basic

Il faut prendre un train pour aller au centre-ville de Lisbonne. 15 minutes à pied, dans des rues en pente sur les pavés assez rudes...Pas facile...Faut de très bons souliers. Hôtel charmant mais pas de service de restauration le soir. Il faut sortir et autour, ce sont de petits casse-croûtes. Petit déjeuner excellent mais toujours , toujours pareil...Faudrait songer à varier les oeufs, les fruits..Café excellent!

We stayed at several pousadas during our Portugal-Trip with this one - unfortunately - the least enjoyable. The hotel itself as well as the facilities are quite nice, but the interiour of the rooms is gloomy and not good in shape. In order to switch out the floor-light, you have to switch off the main-power which will also cut all power-sources (mobile, laptop). Next, the breakfast buffet offers very few things with the scrambled eggs being every morning more like an egg-soup. The service-lady is everything but attentive and helpful...and please be quick and drink the complimentary water in your room as it will be put away the second day, no regards if the bottle is empty or full. All in all a rather surprising and disappointing experience for all the other pousadas were such perfect accommodations!

Hotel con decoración clásica y servicios básicos disponibles. La habitación resulta espaciosa , y tiene AC, minibar con una dotación muy básica,y caja fuerte. Muy tranquila, no había ruidos ya que pedí expresamente que no fuese a la fachada principal. El desayuno,tipo buffet, muy completo . Disponiendo de coche, la ubicación es estupenda para conocer toda la zona, desde Sintra, Cascais y Estoril, hasta Lisboa. A 900 m hay una estación de tren con frecuencias de media hora , que por 1,60 € te deja en la Estación del Rossio en Lisboa y en tan sólo 20 minutos, por lo que no compensa para ir al centro, ir en coche ya que aún siendo 4 personas, el importe total de ida y vuelta no llega ni para aparcar en esa zona de la ciudad en la calle. Si lo que buscas un hotel confortable para usarlo tan sólo para dormir y desayunar y , conocer toda la zona, éste es el tuyo. Siempre que entre en tu presupuesto,claro.

Zimmerfenster im Erdgeschoss lassen sich nicht öffnen, wegen Diebstahl-/Einbruchgefahr. Dreckige Zimmer (Runde Ecken, überall Staub+Dreck) überall Flecken auf Teppich und Polstermöbel, Möbel ansonsten verbraucht/abgewetzt, dreckige Wäsche vom Vorgänger im Schrank, Flecken & Löcher in der Bettwäsche, fast täglich dreckige Dusch-&Handtücher, Klobürste war braun (ursprünglich weiß), um die Toilette überall Pinkelspuren beim CheckIn *Pfui*, Bad nur zwei Mal ordentlich geputzt während 2 Wochen (manche Tage gar nicht, ich musste im Urlaub putzen *sehr mies*), dreckiges Geschirr am Frühstücksbuffet, Kaffee aus dem Automaten / Auflöskaffee, altes Obst (schon matschig), keine Auswahl beim Aufschnitt (es gab nur Schinken oder Salami + Käse, immer das Gleiche), Süßigkeiten am Buffet aus der Fertigpackung (billigste was es im Supermarkt gab), Joghurt mit Früchten (nur Aromastoffe der Früchte, Billig-Produkt) – das Gleiche gilt für den angebotenen Saft. Rezeption war bei Beschwerden nie für irgendwas zuständig, ob es die dreckigen Handtücher oder das dreckige Bad war, ect.. Achsel zucken können die gut. Tipps für Sehenswürdigkeiten gab’s nur den Standard, mit der Aussage da gehen alle Touristen hin. Den Manager hat man immer verleugnet bzw. angeblich war der nie im Haus. Ansonsten gilt die 2-Personen-Regel an der Rezeption: Einer starrt den Gast an und der Andere grinst doof ich bin nicht zuständig oder bei Beschwerde haben Sie Lösung?, neue Handtücher hatten auch Begleitschutz.

Die Pousada befindet sich direkt gegenüber vom Palast. Die Ausstattung ist stilvoll. Das Zimmer war sehr groß, eigentlich ein Appartement mit 2 Räumen und einem großen Korridor. Das Personal war sehr bemüht. Das Frühstück war außerordentlich gut.Ich empfehle das Hotel ohne Einschränkung weiter.

Fabulous posada,clean rooms,helpful friendly staff,lovely breakfast and all in historic,tasteful surroundings. Huge bedroom,bathrooms clean,room service. Honestly just a fabulous place to stay. Palace and gardens across the road. Queluz doesnt have much to offer however,train station just 10 min walk away from pousada easy to get to Lisbon and Sintra.

Von Bahnhof aus schwierig zu finden. Kein Taxi, kein Bus! Das Zimmer war noch nicht fertig, aber das Gepäck wurde während wir das Schlossbesichtigung auf das Zimmer gebracht. In schöner Umgebung gab es das Abendessen im Schlosskomplex. Sehr gutes Frühstück.

Die Lage des Hotels genau gegenüber den Hauptsehenswürdigkeiten ist sehr angenehm. Der Service ist professionell, die Zimmer sind ordentlich ausgestattet. Leider ließen sich die Fenster nicht öffnen. Das Frühstück war für portugiesische Verhältnisse sehr gut.

La description que vous en faites est quand même un peu limite . Il ny a pas de restaurant dans lhotel mais à 150 m à lextérieur . Ceci étant il est très bon . Le wi-fi en chambre est gratuit ...mais 30 mn seulement . Le téléphone est le plus cher des centaines dhotels que jai connu dans le monde .Jai payé 170 Euros pour 1/4 dheure à 20 mn de téléphone à létranger .Il y avait un cheveux dans la baignoire...Pour ce qui est des valises , débrouillez vous tout seul .

Wir hatten eine Auto gemietet. Das ist ideal, da das Hotel ganz in der Nähe der IC 19 Hauptverbindungsstrasse liegt. Falls man mit dem Zug ins Stadtzentrum von Lissabon gehen will, ist das auch möglich.Wir waren mit unserem Aufenthalt äusserst zufrieden.
